간호학생의 학습성과 달성과 연계된 시뮬레이션 실습 설계와 운영 (Planning and Applying Simulation-based Practice for the Achievement of Program Outcomes in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to plan and apply simulation-based practice for raising the achievement of program outcomes (POs) in nursing students. Methods: Using convenience sampling, 95 nursing students participated in this descriptive study. A self-reported questionnaire was used to measure the achievement of POs (self-directed learning, problem-solving ability, critical thinking) and usefulness of curriculum in addition to observing tracheal suction skills using a checklist. Results: A scenario with a pneumonia patient was developed to observe tracheal suction skills during simulation-based practices. Self-directed learning, problem-solving ability, and critical thinking were then scored. The mean scores of performance skill, self-directed learning, problem-solving ability, critical thinking were $37.82{\pm}6.03$. $3.61{\pm}0.38$, $3.61{\pm}0.33$, and $3.73{\pm}0.32$, respectively. All students passed the simulation-based practice in terms of performance ability and met the required achievement level for the POs at this university. Students with good suction skills showed significant differences in problem identification (p=.044) and alternative development (p=.019), which are components of problem-solving ability, compared to students with only fair skills. Conclusion: These findings indicate that simulation-based practice related to an adult nursing respiratory course was useful for evaluating the achievement of POs in nursing students. Further study is needed to develop a universal method of outcome measurement.

웹듀이를 활용한 분류 교육에 대한 연구 - DDC 매체 유형별 학습성과와 학습자 만족도 조사를 바탕으로 - (A Study on Classification Education Using WebDewey: Based on Learning Outcomes and Learner Satisfaction Survey by DDC Medium Type)

  • 본 연구는 문헌정보학 전공 분류 수업에서 향후 온라인 매체로만 제공되는 DDC와 관련된 교육을 준비함에 있어 적용할 수 있는 시사점을 파악하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 DDC의 인쇄본과 웹 버전을 활용한 NCS 기반의 교육과정을 운영한 후, 2차에 걸친 직무능력평가를 통해 매체별 학습성과를 분석하였으며, 매체별 활용 기능, 만족도와 선호도를 분석하기 위한 설문조사를 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 교육 매체의 차이는 학습성과에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학습 시 주로 사용한 매체는 매체에 대한 유용성과 선호도, 그리고 향후 매체 활용도에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구 결과에 기초하여 향후 웹듀이를 활용한 DDC 교육 설계 시, DDC 인쇄본과 비교하여 DDC의 구조와 분류 항목에 대한 이해와 활용을 위한 교육, 웹듀이 인터페이스와 기능에 대한 교육, 전조합 번호에 대한 상대적인 이해와 학습이 필요하다는 점 등을 제안하였다.

The Effects of Education Service Quality on Learning Outcome in the Culinary Education Facility: Application of IPA

  • This article examines the effects of education service quality of culinary education facility on the learning outcome. For this, items for figuring out the relation between education service quality and the learning outcomes has been deducted through IPA regarding education service quality. Further, the factors of education service, which is for verifying the effects of relevant experiences (culinary certificate) have been examined according to advanced studies. Self administered questionnaires have been prepared by 231 samples in total and the collected data have been analyzed through frequency, factor, reliability and regression analyzing methods by using SPSS 18.0. The results from paired t-test performed on the importance and performance of culinary education service quality indicate that expertise, level of knowledge, education method of instructor and additional convenience facilities (locker and lounge etc) are the most important factors respectively. The results from IPA analysis show that the quadrant 1 includes knowledge level, education method, kindness of instructor. The quadrant 2 contains awareness of instructor while the third one includes culinary facility, tool structure and convenience facility. In addition the quadrant 4 includes hygiene of learning place. According to the results from hypothesis test, education service quality affects learning outcome and the experience (certificate) of learner from culinary education facility results in difference in education service quality and awareness of learning outcome therefore the hypothesis is partially verified.

암환자의 긍정성 증진을 위한 블렌디드 건강코칭 교육프로그램 프로토타입 개발 및 적용 (Developing and Pilot-Testing Blended Learning Program Prototypes for Health Coaching to Support Positive Growth of Cancer Patients)

  • This study aimed to develop and pilot-test educational program prototypes of training health coaches to help cancer patients overcome crises and create positive growth. For this purpose, the educational contents and methods of the blended learning program prototypes were derived through learner needs and literature analysis. The prototypes, which consist of introducing of health management and health information and understanding and practice of basic coaching and health coaching, were developed to integrate with four sessions of face-to-face, off-line classes, training practices through 12 tele-classes, and use of online learning system. The prototypes were conducted and pilot-tested by a total of 35 students selected through the document screening and the interview. After participating in the blended learning program, learners expressed greater overall satisfaction with each session program (average score = 4.36, with 5 being most satisfied), satisfaction with learning contents (average score=4.42) satisfaction with course preparation (average score = 4.26) and satisfaction with lecture materials (average score = 4.19). The results of this study show that a systematic and integrative approach for designing a blended learning program can be useful for various educational needs in health and medical fields. In the future, empirical studies are expected to see how these curricula are actually implemented and assess whether the intended learning outcomes are achieved.

공공병원 공공보건의료사업 담당자를 위한 교육프로그램이 학습목표 성취도와 교육반응도에 미치는 효과 (Evaluation of an Education Program for Public Health Service Workers in Public Hospitals: Learning Achievement and Satisfaction Levels)

  • Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of an education program for public health service workers in public hospitals, utilizing the Kirkpatrick model. Methods: The study participants were 118 staff in 48 public hospitals. Of the stages in the Kirkpatrick model(reaction, learning, behavior, and result), reaction and learning stages were analyzed in this study. A 10-item self-evaluation questionnaire was used to measure satisfaction level for the reaction, and achievement of learning purposes for the learning. The education program consisted of general courses and special two tract courses(Tract A: chronic diseases, Tract B: health promotion). Results: The highest score for reaction was for Tract A(score=4.4), whilst the lowest score for reaction was for lecture(score=3.0). Learning achievement was significantly different between pre-education and post-education(p<0.01), except for health technicians. Conclusions: The results of this study could be utilized to develop effective systematic education programs for public health service workers in public hospitals.

컴퓨터교육 전공 수업에 적용된 학습성찰의 효과 (Effect of reflection on learning in computer education courses)

  • 본 연구는 대학교 학생들의 학습성찰이 그들의 학습성과에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 학습 내용과 경험에 대한 성찰 활동은 컴퓨터과학 분야의 학습자들이 겪을 수 있는 학습의 어려움을 극복하고 성공적인 학습성과를 얻을 수 있는 기회를 마련할 것이다. 이를 위하여, 3개의 컴퓨터교육 전공 수업에 수강한 대학생들이 한 학기 동안에 수업 내용에 대한 성찰 활동을 6번 이상 수행하였다. 그리고 그 영향을 파악하기 위하여 학생들의 과제가치, 학습참여, 학업성취도를 학기 시작 시기와 종료 시기에 측정하였다. 또한 성찰 과정에 대한 학생들의 반응을 조사하기 위하여 의견조사와 면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 심층적인 성찰 활동은 학생들의 인지적, 행동적, 감성적 학습참여, 그리고 학업성취도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 아울러 과제가치를 포함한 학습동기 증진을 위한 성찰 전략의 개발, 협력적 성찰 기회 제공 등이 후속 연구로 제안되었다.

조리 실기 교육을 위한 교수-학습 의사 소통 모형 개발 - 구성주의 관점에서 - (The Development of a Communication Model for Teaching-Learning in Culinary Practical Education - A Constructivism Point of View -)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a communication model of teaching-learning at culinary practical learning class in school. Statistically, the organizational culture of culinary schools was influenced by the nature of hierarchical culture, task outcomes, and the conservative culture of organizations in companies. First, in basic skill class, teaching and learning methods are based on a teacher who leads students according to his plans and decisions. Second, in a higher skill course, teaching and learning methods are based on students who take an active part by injecting some fresh ideas into their class. Third, the model of three courses for culinary skill development has an effect on processing into a modeling-scaffolding-fading method by teaching and learning in school. It was ascertained that organizational culture directly or indirectly influenced organizational effectiveness and organizational culture in culinary schools. Moreover, it was found that organizational culture was the biggest influencing concept for communication effectiveness between teachers and students.

Effects of Simulation-based Education Combined Team-based Learning on Self-directed Learning, Communication Skills, Nursing Performance Confidence and Team Efficacy in Nursing Students

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects simulation-based education combined team-based learning (SBE combined TBL) compared to simulation-based education (SBE) on undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent control group design with pre-and posttest measures was used. The participants in the study were 181 students. The SBE combined TBL group consisted of 84 senior students in 2013, and the SBE group consisted of 97 seniors in 2014. Collected data were analyzed using chi-square, independent t-test and ANCOVA with the statistical package SPSS 22.0 for Windows. Results: There was a significant improvement in communication skills, nursing performance confidence, team efficacy, and team performance scores in the SBE combined TBL group compared to the SBE group (t=2.45, p=.015; F=4.30, p=.040; t=3.06, p=.003; t=8.77, p<.001). However, there was no statistically significant difference in self-directed learning between the groups. Conclusion: SBE combined TBL compared to SBE is an effective teaching and learning method to enhance various positive educational outcomes for nursing students. Therefore, we suggest that future studies investigate the development of an integrated course in which team-based learning is applied to theoretical sessions and simulation-based training.

대학생 직업기초능력 향상을 위한 교수학습모형 개발 연구 (Development of Teaching and Learning Model for the Key Competencies Education in the University)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the teaching & learning model to increase the key competencies in the university. For this, the researcher suggested the draft of teaching & learning model in the university based on literature analysis and survey for key competencies education to professors and students. After that, the draft of the model was revised through the formative test by experts. And then, the revised model was verified through delphi survey and a final model was fixed. As the result of this study, features of the final model are as follows. First, this study identified that a core values of teaching and learning model for the key competencies education in the university is reinforcement of learner's thinking skills and enhancement of field oriented on learning contents and reinforcement of professor's role as a mentor, a facilitator, a motivator, and an informant. Second, The core learning activity's process of the teaching and learning model for the key competencies education in the university consists of the following in order: team-building, exploring problem, gathering and analysing informations, arranging of leaning outcomes, comprehensive arrangement and self-examination.

공학 기초설계 교과목에서 교수-학습 방법에 따른 수업 결과 분석 (Analysis of Teaching and Learning strategies in Basic Engineering Courses)

  • 본 연구는 공학 기초설계 교과목의 교수-학습 방법에 따른 수업 결과를 분석하고, 시사점을 도출하여 실제 기초 설계 수업에서 실행 가능한 효과적인 교수-학습 방법을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 A대학교 공과대학 B프로그램 2학년 재학생 총 112명을 대상으로 동일한 교수자가 기초설계 교과목을 프로젝트 중심 수업과 문제 중심 수업으로 운영하여 두개 반의 수업 후 수업결과에 대한 전수조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 문제 중심 수업은 프로젝트 중심 수업에 비해 수업만족도, 교과목 학습성과 달성도, 학업성취도에서 높은 점수를 나타냈으며, 이러한 결과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에 기초하여 실제 기초설계 수업에서 실행 가능한 효과적인 교수-학습 전략을 제안하였다.
