  • The increasing demand for the distance learning has created a need to explore the implications of the emerging paradigm shift in the learning environment. For the use of information technology to improve learning processes, the pedagogical assumptions underlying the design of information technology for educational purposes must be understood. However, little theoretical development or empirical research has examined learning effectiveness in web-based distance learning. Thus, this paper reviews from research in management communications, education, social psychology, and information systems literatures to develop an conceptual model of influences on web-based corporate education outcomes. The hypotheses empirically examined using survey data from 152 students of 'L' company. The data support the validity and reliability of our constructs. And the hypotheses of this study get partially significant support. Finally, the implications of this survey results are discussed in terms of learning performance.

  • This research examines the effects of organizational learning and network involvement, as well as many contextual factors, on power generation businesses' innovation capability and operational success in Vietnam. This research also aims to attest to the moderating roles of top management support and company age, and firm possession type in the power generation industry. This study applied the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and PLS-SEM approach for data analysis. In this research, we have tested hypotheses with data collected from 132 top managers and other key personnel from power generation companies in Vietnam. The results also attest to the moderating role of top management support on the two relationships between organizational learning - innovation capability and network involvement - innovation capability. Another important finding is that the company age has a negative impact on operational performance but shows a positive moderating role in the relationship between innovation capability and operational performance. This study highlights the central roles of organizational learning and innovation capability in impacting the organizational performance of power generation companies. These companies play a key role in supporting the development of industries in practice. This research also emphasizes the moderating roles of top management support and company age and possession type in practice.

  • In this era of knowledge and information of the 21st century, the source of a nation's competitive power consists of human resources and material resources and the importance of human resources appreciates highly. The number of small and medium enterprises which are the core of national economy covers over 98% among whole domestic enterprises of Korea. Competitive power of small and medium enterprises comes from human resources development. For the development of human resources, small and medium enterprises are trying to expand their learning organizations in the company. The analysis of outcomes of administering the existing learning organizations shows that learning organizations contribute highly to the improvement of the productivity of small and medium enterprises. And the analysis also shows that the participants of learning organizations and middle management and executives who support and encourage them recognize the necessity of learning organizations and that it should be disseminated throughout other enterprises. Therefore government's supports to establish learning organizations in a company are required to expand.

  • This study quantitatively measured the impact of blended learning with smart devices for learning satisfaction. It is targeted in specialized domestic company with IT Service which build smart learning systems and utilize for employee training. Specifically, it empirically analyzed that learning attitude(Self-efficacy, Self-innovativeness, Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use) with smart devices affect acceptance of smart learning and offline face-to-face learning satisfaction. As a result, the learning attitude of the smart learning gave a positive effect on the acceptance of the smart learning and then acceptance of the smart learning gave a positive effect on offline face-to-face learning satisfaction. Additionally learning the attitude of the smart learning even gave a positive impact, as well as the acceptance of smart learning experience in offline training. It imply that this variables of smart-learning attitude affect the self-directed learning and positive learning experience.

  • This paper aims to explore organisational change and learning involving spatial processes and outcomes. In particular, it focuses on the context specific nature of corporate learning and organisational change that can be found in the case of a large Korean firm facing radical economic change. Drawing on the case study of a large Korean firm, the Samsung Electronics Company, three main claims can be followed. First, territorial sources of learning influence the way in which the firm makes use of space/place. Second, corporate learning practices, however, are not based merely on specific localised sources or geographical proximity but on bringing together the local and the global sources by harnessing the properties of relational proximities. It reveals that firms are concerned less on specialising specific local knowledge than promoting organisational knowledge and competences by integrating a variety of knowledge distributed in and out of the boundaries of the firm. Finally, to learn and innovate in a continual basis, firms would attempt to combine codified knowledge with tacit knowledge.

  • The ever-increasing amount of data generated by various industries and systems has led to the development of data mining techniques as a means to extract valuable insights and knowledge from such data. The electrical energy industry is no exception, with the large amounts of data generated by SCADA systems. This study focuses on the analysis of historical data recorded in the SCADA database of the Libyan Electricity Company. The database, spanned from January 1st, 2013, to December 31st, 2022, contains records of daily date and hour, energy production, temperature, humidity, wind speed, and energy consumption levels. The data was pre-processed and analyzed using the WEKA tool and the Apriori algorithm, a supervised machine learning technique. The aim of the study was to extract association rules that would assist decision-makers in making informed decisions with greater efficiency and reduced costs. The results obtained from the study were evaluated in terms of accuracy and production time, and the conclusion of the study shows that the results are promising and encouraging for future use in the Libyan Electricity Company. The study highlights the importance of data mining and the benefits of utilizing machine learning technology in decision-making processes.
