FPS로 면진된 원전 주제어실의 내진 성능 평가 (Seismic Performance Evaluation for MCR of Nuclear Power Plant Isolated by FPS)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the seismic performance for a seismically isolated main control room (MCR) of nuclear power plant. MCR was isolated by spherically shaped friction pendulum system (FPS). The FPS provided the simplest means of achieving long period in the isolation system under low gravity load. Some parametric studies were conducted with different properties of FPS. When the coefficient of friction in the sliding surface of FPS is low, the seismic performance of MCR was satisfactory However, the lateral displacement in the isolation level was rather large. To restrict this displacement into adequate range, a fluid viscous dampers were used.

GAS-DYNAMICAL FRICTION OF A PERTURBER MOVING ON A CIRCULAR ORBIT

  • Dynamical friction plays an important role in reducing angular momenta of objects in orbital motions. While astronomical objects usually follow curvilinear orbits, most previous studies focused on the linear-trajectory cases. Here, we present the gravitational wake due to, and dynamical friction on, a perturber moving on a circular orbit in a uniform gaseous medium using a semi-analytic method. The circular orbit causes the density wakes to bend along the orbit into asymmetric configurations, resulting in the drag forces in both opposite (azimuthal) and lateral (radial) directions to the perturber motion, although the latter does not contribute to the orbital decay much. For a subsonic perturber, the bending of a wake is only modest and the resulting drag force in the opposite direction is remarkably similar to the linear-trajectory counterpart. On the other hand, a supersonic perturber is able to overtake its own wake, possibly multiple times, creating a high-density trailing tail. Despite the dramatic changes in the wake morphologies, the azimuthal drag force is in surprisingly good agreement with the formulae of Ostriker for the linear-trajectory cases, provided $V_pt=2R_p,\;where\;V_p\;and\;R_p$ are the velocity and orbital radius of the perturber, respectively.

접촉각 측정과 AFM/LFM을 이용한 불화 유기박막의 특성 평가 (Characterization of Fluorocarbon Thin Films by Contact Angle Measurements and AFM/LFM)

  • Teflon-like fluorocarbon thin film was deposited on various substrates by vapor deposition using PFDA (perfluorodecanoic acid). The fluorocarbon films were characterized by static/dynamic contact angle analysis, VASE (Variable-angle Spectroscopic Ellipsometry) and AFM/LFM (Atomic/Lateral Force Microscopy). Based on Lewis Acid/Base theory, the surface energy ($S_{E}$) of the films was calculated by the static contact angle measurement. The work of adhesion (WA) between de-ionized water and substrates was calculated by using the static contact data. The fluorocarbon films showed very similar values of the surface energy and work of adhesion to Teflon. All films showed larger hysteresis than that of Teflon. The roughness and relative friction force of films were measured by AFM and LFM. Even though the small reduction of surface roughness was found on film on $SiO_2$surface, the large reduction of relative friction farce was observed on all films. Especially the relative friction force on TEOS was decreased a quarter after film deposition. LFM images showed the formation of "strand-like"spheres on films that might be the reason far the large contact angle hysteresis.

  • Nanotribological characteristics between a Si$_3$N$_4$ AFM tip and hydrophobic thin films were experimentally studied. Tests were performed to measure the nano adhesion and friction in both AFM(atomic force microscope) and LFM(lateral force microscope) modes in various ranges of normal load. Plasma-modified thin polymeric films were deposited on Si-wafer (100). Results showed that wetting angle of plasma-modified thin polymeric film increased with the treating time, which resulted in the hydrophobic surface and the decrease of adhesion and friction. Nanotribological characteristics of these surfaces were compared with those of other hydrophobic surfaces, such as DLC, OTS and IBAD-Ag coated surfaces. Those of OTS coated surface was superior to those of others, though wetting angle of plasma-modified thin polymeric film is higher.

  • 점변일차원이층류(漸變一次元二層流)모델로서의 염수(塩水)쐐기형상(形狀)의 계산(計算)을 행함에 있어서 필요(必要)한 계면저항계수(界面低抗係數)의 평가수단(評價手段)에 대(對)하여 논(論)한다. 예(例)를 들면, 폭(幅)이 좁은 실험수로(實驗水路)에서 얻어진 염수(塩水)쐐기의 형상(形狀)에 의해 계면저항계수(界面低抗係數)를 역산(逆算)하는 경우는 실제(實際)의 하천(河川)에서는 무시(無視)할 수 있는 수로(水路)의 측벽(側壁)의 영향(影響)을 보정(補正)하지 않으면 안된다. 본연구(本硏究)에서는 이러한 점(點)을 고려(考慮), 정상(定常) 염수(塩水)쐐기의 형상(形狀) 및 계면저항계수(界面低抗係數)에 미치는 수로(水路)의 측벽(側壁)의 영향(影響)을 밝힌다.

  • 기초 구조물, 옹벽 등 지반 구조물의 거동 평가에 사용되는 정지토압계수는 현장 응력상태를 나타내는 상태변수로 해석과 설계에 매우 중요하다. 정규 압밀된 사질토에서 일반적으로 널리 쓰이는 Jaky의 Ko식은 실험에서 획득 가능한 마찰각으로부터 응력상태를 유추하지만, 실무에서 마찰각 적용시 필수적인 입자 조건에 따른 영향과 기준에 대한 평가가 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주요한 영향 인자로서 상대밀도, 원마도, 표면 거칠기에 따른 Ko값의 변화 양상을 다양한 하중 단계별로 실험에 고려하였다. 변형계를 사용한 Ko측정기를 제작하여 주문진 표준사, 글라스 비드, 에칭 글라스 비드에 대해 재하-제하-재재하의 단계별로 Ko을 측정하였고 영향 요인별 분석을 실시하였다. 실험 결과 원마도와 무관하게 작은 상대밀도의 시편이 높은 Ko을 보였으며 표면 거칠기는 Ko에 큰 영향이 없었다. 또한 동일한 상대밀도에서 입자가 모난 형상에 가까울수록 낮은 Ko을 보였다. 본 연구에서 획득한 실험 결과를 바탕으로 경험식과 문헌에서 보고된 데이터를 이용하여 상대밀도에 따른 Ko과 마찰각의 특성을 분석하였다.

  • By enforcing skew of permanent magnet, detent force decreases, but lateral force that acts for vertical direction of moving direction occurs. This force deteriorates various performance of PMLSM as that acts to friction force between mover and LM guide. Therefore, in this paper, V skew model is proposed for lateral force's reduction and simulation results are compared to experimental value.

  • The aim of this paper is to research on the actual condition of Koreans' Spanish consonants pronunciation with an emphasis on describing the phonetic different of Korean speakers and Spanish speakers. 40 Spanish words were chosen for the speech sampling, and 10 Spanish majoring Korean students from Seoul or Kyunggi Province and 3 Spanish speakers form Castile, Spain participated in the interview. The most noticeable phonetic differences of Korean speakers' pronunciation comparing with Spanish speakers are abstracted as follows: 1) The voiced stops are pronounced voiceless or weak voiced. 2) The voiced stops are slightly aspirated. 3) The length of voiceless consonants is quite longer than the length of proceeding vowel. 4) Fricatives and affricates are somewhat fronter, and weaker in the degree of friction. 5) There is a strong tendency to geminate dental lateral /l/ such as 'pelo' and to vocalize palatal lateral /$\rightthreetimes$/ such as 'calle' 6) Unlike in Spanish speech flap $\mid$r$\mid$ and trill [r] are pronounced similarly in Korean speech.

대칭경사진 벽체의 되메움 수평토압에 관한 연구 (Lateral Earth Pressures on Symmetrical Backslope Walls)

  • 좁은 되메움 공간의 벽체가 연직 또는 한쪽 벽체만이 경사진 경우 수평토압에 관한 연구는 국내외에서 상당히 진전되어 왔으나, 대칭으로 경사진 경우의 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 되메움 공간의 벽체가 대칭으로 경사지고 벽체간 하부폭이 다를 때 발생되는 수평토압에 관한 거동을 구명하기 위하여 시도되었다. 이를 위하여 모형토조를 사용하여 되메움 공간의 벽체가 대칭으로 경사진 경우 벽체의 경사각, 하부폭, 벽마찰각, 상대밀도를 변화시켜 총 24종류의 모형실험을 수행하였고, 이 결과를 Kellogg(1993)제안식, 벽면경사를 고려한 수정 제안식 및 벽면마찰반력으로부터 구한 수평토압과 비교, 분석하였다. 연구 결과 벽면마찰반력을 고려한 경우 평균연직토압을 적용하였음에도 Arching 효과가 발휘된 실험결과와 가장 근소한 차이를 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, the finite element analysis model of the mult-axial wheel durability test configuration is created using SAMCEF. Mooney-Rivlin 2nd model is applied to the tire model, and the variation of the air pressure inside the tire is considered. Vertical load, lateral load and camber angle are applied to the simulation model. The tire rotates because of the friction contact with a drum, and reaches its maximum speed of 60 km/h. The dynamics stress results of the simulation and experiment are compared, and the reliability of the simulation model is verified.
