Traditionally, load flows have been calculated using the Gauss-Seidel and Newton-Raphson Method. DistFlow Method which is proposed by Wu and Baran is superior to the other two methods because it does not require the admittance matrix calculation to optimize the distribution system. This paper introduces a new alternative algorithm to the DistFlow Method which is slow and complex to find solutions as the number of lateral and sublateral increases. The proposed load flow method can construct System Jacobian easily. We can minimize the off-diagonal elements of the branch Jacobian and submatrices in the System Jacobian. Simulation results show that progressive performances of the proposed algorithm.
Deep blue fluorescence of resorcin blue-stained callose was observed only in the potato leafroll virus (PLRV)-infected potato plants, but not in other potato viruses investigated. The plant sections stained with aniline blue showed non-specific fluorescence regardless of PLRV infection, which means that aniline blue is not suitable for the staining of callose induces by PLRV infection. The fluorescence of resorcin blue-stained callose was more easily detectable than autofluorescence by a direct fluorescence detection method because of its deep blue color. The lateral branch of lower leaves was turned out to be the best material for fluorescence observation of all plant parts tested. In comparison of diagnostic efficacy of this technique to enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), PLRV infected potato plants showed corresponding increment of the fluorescence of resorcin blue stained callose as absorption values in ELISA increased. In the future, the criteria measuring the fluorescence objectively are thought to be determined for the practical application to the diagnosis of potato leafroll disease.
The decapodid stage of Lebbeus comanthi Hayashi and Okuno and the first zoea of Thor amboinensis (De Man) are described based on laboratory-hatched eggs from females collected from Japan. The decapodid stage of L. comanthi is readily distinguished from that of L. groenlandicus by the carapace without anteroventral denticle and tooth behind rostrum, the absence of the antennal spine, the four-segmented outer flagellum of the antennule, the absence of the palp of the mandible, and the telson with posterior margin con caved medially and without dorsolateral spine. The carapace with anteroventral denticle and the third abdominal somite distinctly curved in lateral view distinguish the first zoea of T. amboinensis from that of T. dobkini Chace and T. floridanus Kingsley. Larval characters of the genus Thor are summarized.

An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the effect of beam to column connection rigidity on the behavior of infilled steel frames. Five half scale, single-story and single-bay specimens, including four infilled frames, as well as, one bare frame, were tested under in-plane lateral cyclic reversal loading. The connections of beam to column for bare frame as well as two infill specimens were rigid, whereas those of others were pinned. For each frame type, two different infill panels were considered: (1) masonry infill, (2) masonry infill strengthened with shotcrete. The experimental results show that the infilled frames with pinned connections have less stiffness, strength and potential of energy dissipation compared to those with rigid connections. Furthermore, the validity of analytical methods proposed in the literature was examined by comparing the experimental data with analytical ones. It is shown that the analytical methods overestimate the stiffness of infilled frame with pinned connections; however, the strength estimation of both infilled frames with rigid and pinned connections is acceptable.

Pleomorphic liposarcoma is extremely rare in the head and neck region. It can be diagnosed by identifying multivacuolated lipoblast with pleomorphism. Most studies have reported that pleomorphic liposarcoma shows an aggressive behavior with poor prognosis. The treatment of choice is wide resection to ensure negative margin. The authors report a case of pleomorphic liposarcoma in a 67-year-old female, who was treated with primary resection of tumor and postoperative radiation therapy. The patient is well without any recurrence or metastasis after 1 year of follow-up.
This paper presents an investigation about superharmonic and subharmonic resonances of a carbon nanotube reinforced composite beam subjected to lateral harmonic load with damping effect based on the modified couple stress theory. As reinforcing phase, three different types of single walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) distribution are considered through the thickness in polymeric matrix. The governing nonlinear dynamic equation is derived based on the von Kármán nonlinearity with using of Hamilton's principle. The Galerkin's decomposition technique is utilized to discretize the governing nonlinear partial differential equation to nonlinear ordinary differential equation and then is solved by using of multiple time scale method. Effects of different patterns of reinforcement, volume fraction, excitation force and the length scale parameter on the frequency-response curves of the carbon nanotube reinforced composite beam are investigated. The results show that volume fraction and the distribution of CNTs play an important role on superharmonic and subharmonic resonances of the carbon nanotube reinforced composite beams.

The morphogenesis of panicle and spikelet in paddy rice has been studied in high yielding Indica$\times$Japonica hybrid cultivar, Milyang 23 and a Japonica type cultivar, Koshihikari. Germinated seeds planted in $5000^{-1}$ a pots filled with submerged soil and cultured under natural conditions. The young panicle of main stem were continuously dissected and observered by Cryo-SEM from the panicle initiation stage until heading stage. Although the date of panicle differentiation and heading in Koshihikari earlier than those of Milyang 23. the sequence of panicle development in two cultivars begins when first bract primordium at opposite side of flag-leaf primordium differentiated, synchronously followed by growth of the primary branch primordia (PBPs) and secondary branch primordia (SBPs), spikelet primordia(SPs), glumes as lateral organs on rachilla and organs composing single floret, and successive sporogenesis in the young spikelets continue after the enclosure by lemma and palea. The PBPs are acropetally initiated from the base of the panicle primordium, and the SBPs alternately differentiate from the base of upper PBP which differentiate later than the lower PBP. Spikelet development starts at the top of upper side PBP of the young panicle and continue basipetally even though SBPs continue to develop at the lower primary branch. Each PBP, SBP and SP differentiate with differentiation bract or bract hair cell around the base of each their primordia. The observation could confirm that Milyang 23 has not only 2~3 more defferentiated PBPs, but also more SBPs and SPs especially from middle-lower primary branch, at end of their differentiation stages, as compared to those of Koshihikari.

This experiment was conducted to find out the effects of pinching on shoot growth, flowering and covering of Lonicera sempervirens growth in containers. 180 cm high pinching of plants increased shoot length compared to 60 cm low pinching and decreased lateral shoot numbers, but there was no difference in branch numbers by the pinching methods. Covering rates of the pergola were 85% with 60 cm low pinching, 74% with 120 cm middle pinching, and 62% with 180 cm high pinching. The pinched plants continued to flower from the middle of May to the middle of September. The first flowering time was in the middle of May in low pinching and in the early of June in middle and high pinching. The lower pinching height and the earlier pinching time induced earlier flowering time, and the peak flowering of pinched plants was in mid-August. To cover over 85% of the pergola screen with 3.0 m wide and 2.2 m high, two plants per 1 m needed to grow and to pinch at 60 cm height.
