DMB 서비스의 상용화 및 3D 게임, 휴대용 인터넷, 영화서비스 등의 멀티미디어 서비스를 위하여 최근 모바일용 기기에 VGA급 이상의 컬러 FPD의 채택이 본격화 하고 있다. VGA급 이상의 화면에 30fps의 실시간 동영상을 디스플레이 하려면 소프트웨어를 통한 구현방법은 프로세서의 성능이 이에 미치지 못하기 때문에 구현이 어렵고, 전용 하드웨어를 구성하여야만 풀 프레임의 동영상지원이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 디스플레이 장치의 실시간 동영상 구현을 위한 flash memory controller, OLED interface로 이루어진 OLED 제어기를 제안하고 이를 FPGA로 구현하여 성능을 평가하고자 한다.

여러 가지 형태의 동영상을 재생하기 위해서는 특정 디코더 및 Demux가 필요하다. 필요에 따라, 많은 개발자들이 필터 개발을 하고 있지만, 기존의 GOM플레이어나 KMP플레이어는 API가 Open되어있지 않아, 작성된 필터 사용의 어려움이 있고, 동영상 재생에 사용되는 Codec의 선택에 대한 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 작성된 필터를 이용하여, 손쉽게 플레이할 수 있는 라이브러리를 개발하며, 화면을 찾기 위한 Seek기능을 설계하고, 화면캡처, 전체화면, 재생화면, 확대, 축소 등 사용자 편의성을 위한 DLL파일로 구축하여 개발한다. 본 연구는 멀티미디어 제작 S/W기술과 정보통신 발전에 기여 할 것이다.

대부분의 추천 시스템에서는 개인의 선호 정보를 바탕으로 한 내용-기반 추천 기법과 다른 사람들로부터의 추천을 기반으로 한 사회적 추천 기법을 사용한다. 이들 두 기법은 각각 장단점을 갖고 있으며, 서로 경쟁 관계에 있다기보다 상호 보완적인 성격을 갖고 있다. 이에 두 기법의 적절한 조합이 전체 추천 시스템의 질을 결정하는 관건이 된다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 개인마다 각 기법에 대한 만족도와 의존도가 다름을 밝히고, 이러한 각 개인의 경향에 따라 여러 추천 기법의 결과를 개인별로 조합해 주는 기법을 제안하였다. 각 개인의 경향을 나타내는 척도로 충성도, 다양도, 전문가도 둥의 척도를 정의하여 사용하였으며, 이 원리에 의해 동작하는 조합 엔진의 결과는 최고 40%, 평균 23%의 coverage 개선 효과를 나타내었다.

최근 무선 센서 네트워크를 기반으로 한 CCTV 동영상, 이미지 캡처 정보, 음향 정보 등의 멀티미디어 데이터 전송 서비스의 요구가 증대됨에 따라 무선 멀티미디어 센서 네트워크의 실현 가능성이 현실화 되고 있다. WMSN(Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network) 에서 멀티미디어 정보를 전송하기 위해서는 다양한 서비스별로 차별화된 서비스 품질 보장이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 지연에 대한 차별화된 서비스 품질을 제공할 수 있는 DSMAC 기반 개선된 MAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안된 프로토콜은 버퍼의 점유율에 따라 특정 노드 간에 적응적으로 duty cycle를 변경함으로써 에너지 소모를 크게 증대시키지 않고 지연을 줄일 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 방법에 의해 성능 분석한 결과, 제안한 프로토콜이 기존의 S-MAC, DSMAC 프로토콜에 향상된 성능을 나타내었다.

본 논문에서는 높은 정확도를 요구하는 육상교통분야에 활용할 수 있는 통합항법 알고리즘을 설계하고 차선이탈경보를 위한 모니터링 프로그램을 개발하였다. 차선이탈경보를 위해서는 차선 구분이 가능한 정확도 높은 위치정보가 필요하므로 GPS와 DR기반의 위치정보를 융합한 위치결정 알고리즘을 설계하였다. 설계한 통합항법 알고리즘의 검증을 위해서 실제 차량을 이용하여 데이터를 수집하고, 후처리한 결과를 모니터링 프로그램으로 확인하였다. 모니터링 프로그램은 주행동영상과 항공사진을 통해서 차로유지 및 차선이탈 유무를 확인할 수 있도록 제작하였다.

본 논문에서 RTSP 기반의 스트리밍 서버를 구현해서 스트리밍 서비스가 가능하게 하였다. 클라이언트가 서버에 스트림을 요청하게 되면 그 때부터 주기적으로 클라이언트와 서버(웹 서버)간의 통신을 통해 전송 속도를 측정한다. 서버에서는 하나의 무비클립에 대해 분할 인코딩 해 놓은 스트림들을 전송 속도를 기반으로 차별 전송을 한다. 측정 속도에 따라 서버에서 보내는 스트림이 달라지며 스트림의 위치를 기억해서 달라진 전송 속도에 따라 다른 스트림을 보낼 때, 그 위치 그대로 보냄으로써 끊임없는 변환이 이루어진다.

This paper proposes a method for designing a large recording script for open domain English speech synthesis. For read-aloud style text, 12 domains and 294 sub-domains were designed using text contained in five different news media publications. For conversational style text, 4 domains and 36 sub-domains were designed using movie subtitles. The final script consists of 43,013 sentences, 27,085 read-aloud style sentences, and 15,928 conversational style sentences, consisting of 549,683 tokens and 38,356 types. The completed script is analyzed using four criteria: word coverage (type coverage and token coverage), high-frequency vocabulary coverage, phonetic coverage (diphone coverage and triphone coverage), and readability. The type coverage of our script reaches 36.86% despite its low token coverage of 2.97%. The high-frequency vocabulary coverage of the script is 73.82%, and the diphone coverage and triphone coverage of the whole script is 86.70% and 38.92%, respectively. The average readability of whole sentences is 9.03. The results of analysis show that the proposed method is effective in producing a large recording script for English speech synthesis, demonstrating good coverage in terms of unique words, high-frequency vocabulary, phonetic units, and readability.

시대가 빠르게 변할수록 미디어의 형태와 역할도 발맞춰 바뀌어 가는게 현실이다. 지금 가장 주목 받고 있는 미디어는 바로 1인 미디어 UCC(User Created Contents)라고 해도 과언이 아니다. 각 가정마다 하나의 카메라가 보급이 되고 심지어 일상생활에서 없어서 안 될 휴대폰으로도 영상을 촬영 할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 여기서 끝나는 게 아니라 이것을 가지고 동영상을 제작할 수 있는 시대가 되었다. 그것이 바로 UCC의 시작이다. 개인의 사생활을 제작할 뿐 만 아니라 기업, 사회, 광고, 엔터테인먼트, 쇼핑몰 등 다양한 곳에서 UCC를 활용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 위와 같은 시대를 맞아 1인 미디어 UCC의 현재와 미래를 통계학적 관점에서 연구하였다.

A recommendation system is an information filter tool, which uses the ratings and reviews of users to generate a personalized recommendation service for users. However, the cold-start problem of users and items is still a major research hotspot on service recommendations. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a high-efficient hybrid recommendation system based on Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering and supervised learning models. The proposed recommendation method includes two aspects: on the one hand, FCM clustering technique has been applied to the item-based collaborative filtering framework to solve the cold start problem; on the other hand, the content information is integrated into the collaborative filtering. The algorithm constructs the user and item membership degree feature vector, and adopts the data representation form of the scoring matrix to the supervised learning algorithm, as well as by combining the subjective membership degree feature vector and the objective membership degree feature vector in a linear combination, the prediction accuracy is significantly improved on the public datasets with different sparsity. The efficiency of the proposed system is illustrated by conducting several experiments on MovieLens dataset.
