  • Natural language query is the best user interface for the users of web text retrieval systems. This paper proposes a retrieval system with expanded keyword from syntactically-analyzed structures of user's natural language query based on natural language processing technique. Through the steps combining or splitting the compound nouns based on syntactic tree traversal, and expanding the other-formed or shorten-formed keyword into multiple keyword, it shows that precision and correctness of the retrieval system was enhanced.

  • For the users of information retrieval systems, natural language query is the more ideal interface, compared with keyword and boolean expressions. This paper proposes a retrieval technique with expanded keyword from syntactically-analyzed structures of natural language query as user input. Through the steps combining or splitting the compound nouns based on syntactic tree traversal of the query, and expanding the other-formed or shorten-formed into multiple keyword, it can enhance the precision and correctness of the retrieval system.

  • Recently, the influence of SNS and online media is rapidly growing with a consequent increase in the interest of marketing using these tools. Blog marketing can increase the ripple effect and information delivery in marketing at low cost by prioritizing keyword search results of influential portal sites. However, because of the tough competition to gain top ranking of search results of specific keywords, long-term and proactive efforts are needed. Therefore, we propose a new method that recommends associated keyword groups with the possibility of higher exposure of the blog. The proposed method first collects the documents of blog including search results of target keyword, and extracts and filters keyword with higher association considering the frequency and location information of the word. Next, each associated keyword is compared to target keyword, and then associated keyword group with the possibility of higher exposure is recommended considering the information such as their association, search amount of associated keyword per month, the number of blogs including in search result, and average writhing date of blogs. The experiment result shows that the proposed method recommends keyword group with higher association.

  • For semantic search methods to provide more accurate results than keyword-based search in a logical representation that uses a knowledge base are being studied. Than most of the user to use formal query language and schema used to interpret the meaning of a user keyword. In this paper, we propose to expand the user query for semantic search. In the proposed system, user query expansion component and a component to adjust the results to interpret user queries to take advantage of the knowledge base associated with a search term. Finally, a user query semantic interpretation, the proposed scheme to verify the experimental results of the prototype system is described.

  • Conventional XML query methods such as simple keyword match or structural query expansion are not sufficient to catch the underlying information in the documents. Moreover, these methods inefficiently try to query all the documents. This paper proposes document tittering and query expansion methods that are based on ontology. Using ontology, we construct a universal DTD that can filter off unnecessary documents. Then, query expansion method is developed through the analysis of concept hierarchy and association among concepts. The proposed methods are applied on variety of sample XML documents to test the effectiveness.

  • The existing information retrieval systems utilize thesaurus in order to search and retrieve the desired information even when the query is not accurate. However the cost for implementing and maintaining thesaurus is very high and it can not guarantee complete success of search/retrieval operation. Thus in this paper, Information Retrieval System using Keyword Network(KNetIRS) which was designed and implemented to solve these problem is introduced. Keyword Network composed of keywords which were extracted from documents. KNetIRS finds the appropriate documents by using the Keyword Network which is based on the concept of "inverted file". In addition, KNetIRS can carry out query expansion by using the Keyword Network Browser, and deal with the conjunction of "정보 검색", "정보", and "검색", by defining and implementing spilt function.

  • Objective: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of miniscrew assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) treatment in late adolescents and adult patients using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: Literature search was conducted in five electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library) based on the PICOS keyword design focusing on MARPE. Out of the 18 CBCT screened outcomes, only nine parameters were sufficient for the quantitative meta-analysis. The parameters were classified into three main groups: 1) skeletal changes, 2) alveolar change, and 3) dental changes. Heterogeneity test, estimation of pooled means, publication bias, sensitivity analysis and risk of bias assessment were also performed. Results: Upon database searching, only 14 full-text articles were qualified from the 364 obtained results. Heterogeneity test indicated the use of the random-effects model. The pooled mean estimate were as follows: 1) Skeletal expansion: zygomatic width, 2.39 mm; nasal width, 2.68 mm; jugular width, 3.12 mm; and midpalatal suture at the posterior nasal spine and anterior nasal spine, 3.34 mm and 4.56 mm, respectively; 2) Alveolar molar width expansion, 4.80 mm; and 3) Dental expansion: inter-canine width, 3.96 mm; inter-premolar width, 4.99 mm and inter-molar width, 5.99 mm. The percentage of expansion demonstrated a skeletal expansion (PNS) of 55.76%, alveolar molar width expansion of 24.37% and dental expansion of 19.87%. Conclusions: In the coronal view, the skeletal and dental expansion created by MARPE was of the pyramidal pattern. MARPE could successfully expand the constricted maxilla in late adolescents and adult patients.

  • Recently, the satellite industry has been paying attention to the private-led 'New Space' paradigm, which is a departure from the traditional government-led industry. The space industry, which is considered to be the next food industry, is still receiving relatively little attention in Korea compared to the global market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore future signals that can help determine the market entry strategies of private companies in the domestic satellite industry. To this end, this study utilizes the theoretical background of future signal theory and the Keyword Portfolio Map method to analyze keyword potential in patent document data based on keyword growth rate and keyword occurrence frequency. In addition, news data was collected to categorize future signals into first symptom and early information, respectively. This is utilized as an interpretive indicator of how the keywords reveal their actual potential outside of patent documents. This study describes the process of data collection and analysis to explore future signals and traces the evolution of each keyword in the collected documents from a weak signal to a strong signal by specifically visualizing how it can be used through the visualization of keyword maps. The process of this research can contribute to the methodological contribution and expansion of the scope of existing research on future signals, and the results can contribute to the establishment of new industry planning and research directions in the satellite industry.

  • The aim of this paper is to collect relevant keywords from clicklog data including user's keywords and URLs accessed using them. Our main hyphothesis is that two or more different keywords may be relevant if users access same URLs using them. Also, they should have higher relationship when the more same URLs are accessed using them. To validate our idea, we collect relevant keywords from clicklog data which is offered by a portal site. As a result, our experiment shows 89.32% precision when we define answer set to only semantically same words, and 99.03% when we define answer set to broader sense. Our approach has merits that it is independent on language and collects relevant words from real world data.
