Recently, frost damage of storage tank for admixture agent caused by low temperature in winter and quality deterioration of admixture agent ofen happened. But, many problems are caused because of no applicable regulations of admixture agent facility and so on. Therefore, this study presents the reference data about using and quality control of admixture agent in practice and the judgement data about working out a counter plan of suitable heat insulation of injecion equipment of admixture agent exposed at outside in winter by measuring the freezing point of admixture agent for concrete.

The equivalent load method has been widely used in the design and analysis of prestressed concrete structures. The purpose of this paper is to explore several important method of obtaining equivalent loads and to clarify the advantages and limitations of each method. The methods devised in this study include the use of curvature of tendon, characteristics of primary moment, self-equilibrium conditions, and linear segments approximation of tendon. It is shown that equivalent lading system is not uniquely determined in some cases and careful engineering judgement is required from the view point of accuracy and practical convenience.

This paper aims to propose a method that helps maintenance engineers to evaluate the damage states of bridge systems by using a Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis(FFTA). It may be stated that Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis may be may useful for the systematic md rational condition and safety assessment for real bridge systems problems because the approach is able to effectively deal with all the related bridge system damages in terms of the linguistic variables that incorporate systematically experts experiences and subjective judgement.

This study designs and implements a new approach to the classification of e-mail requests from customer based on machine learning techniques. The work on building an electronic mall classifier can be cast into the framework of text classification, since an e-mail is a viewed as a document, and judgement of interest is viewed as a class level given to the e-mail document. It is also implemented an e-mall based automated response system that integrate with Call Center in a practical use.

Cause of Bucheon LPG refueling station accident could not be clearly verified because of opposite talking of men reponsible for the accident the accident, damaged by BLEVE and fire, and no systematic fire investigation. After two and half years, recently first judgement has been carried out. But competitive arguement is going on and first leak point of massive LPG will not be clearly identified with evidences acquired by now. This accident gave us many instructions and advices. Specially, massive LPG leak can result in pool fire and safety of underground-installed storage tank is proved by no damage in the strong BLEVE.

In a sensory evaluation, the data obtained by a result of evaluation have a wide dispersion and fuzziness because human sense organ is used as a means of measuring sensation instead of measuring instruments. These dispersion and fuzziness are caused by all kinds of time error and have a great influence on a sensory evaluation, but most of previous papers don't deal with these time errors. In this study, a comparative judgement capacity of an evaluator is discriminated by means of the eigen-structure analysis on the premise that evaluation value of sensory evaluators obtained by a paired-comparison become different by the order of sample presentation

Various sleep-related problems are common in pregnant women. Sleep disorders may result in intrauterine growth restriction as well as harm to pregnant women. Pharmacotherapy of sleep disorders in pregnancy require cautious judgement. All physicians managing sleep-related problems of pregnant women in clinical practice need to understand sleep-related problems and their management in pregnancy. Therefore, I have reviewed the literature on normal sleep, sleep disorders and their management in pregnancy.

A probabilistic model for fatigue life of a structural component is derived when the component is in a variable-amplitude loading environment. The physical mechanism which governs fatigue failure is used to model the fatigue life. Especially, the judgement of rotational symmetry in the-stress-intensity-factors results in the probability distribution for fatigue life. The probability distribution is related to the familiar truncated Gaussian distribution, which has a single parameter with a direct physical meaning.

In radiation protection and nuclear safety, there are many uncertainties or fuzziness due to subjective human judgement. It is desirable to have a theory by which both non-probabilistic uncertainties, or fuzziness, of human factors and the probabilistic properties of machines can be treated consistently. Fuzzy set theory seems to be an effective tool for analyzing the risk and safety of complex man-machine systems such as nuclear power plants.

Recently, we experienced one case of penetrating cardiac injury patient by the knife.This patient was treated by emergency operation through left anterolateral thoracotomy under local anesthesia at emergency room. But, the patient was brought about the brain death inspite of normalized function of heart and lung. Now we have a conclusion that was able to recover of heart and lung functions by doctor`s exactly judgement and practice, at least.
