Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze the market power of the Korea Container Shipping Market (Intra Asia, Korea-Europe, and Korea-U.S.) to verify the existence of collusion empirically, and to answer whether the joint actions of liner market participants in Korea have formed market dominance for each route. Precisely, it will be verified through the Lerner index as to whether the regional market of Asia is a monopoly, oligopoly, or perfect competition. Design/methodology - This study used a Lerner index adjusted with elasticity presented in the New Imperial Organization (NEIO) studies. NEIO refers to a series of empirical studies that estimate parameters to judge market power from industrial data. This study uses B-L empirical models by Bresnahan (1982) and Lau (1982). In addition, NEIO research data statistically contain self-regression and stability problems as price and time series data. A dynamic model following Steen and Salvanes' Error Correction Model was used to solve this problem. Findings - The empirical results are as follows. First, λ, representing market power, is nearly zero in all three markets. Second, the Korean shipping market shows low demand elasticity on average. Nevertheless, the markup is low, a characteristic that is difficult to see in other industries. Third, the Korean shipping market generally remains close to perfect competition from 2014 to 2022, but extreme market power appears in a specific period, such as COVID-19. Fourth, there was no market power in the Intra Asia market from 2008 to 2014. Originality/value - Doubts about perfect competition in the liner market continued, but there were few empirical cases. This paper confirmed that the Korea liner market is a perfect competition market. This paper is the first to implement dynamics using ECM and recursive regression to demonstrate market power in the Korean liner market by dividing the shipping market into Deep Sea and Intra Asia separately. It is also the first to prove the most controversial problems in the current shipping industry numerically and academically.
The standards of a telephone Hangul keyboard should be decided in terms of objective factors : the number of strokes and fingers’moving distance. A number of designers will agree on them, because these factors can be calculated in an objective manner. So, We developed the model which can evaluate the efficiency of inputting Hangul on a telephone keyboard in terms of two factors. As compared with other models, the major features of this model are as follows : in order to evaluate the efficiency of Hangul input on a telephone keyboard, (1) this model calculated not a typing time but the number of strokes ; (2) concurrence frequency that had been counted on KOREA-1 Corpus was used directly ; (3) a total set of 67 consonants and vowels was used ; and (4) this model could evaluate a number of keyboards that use a kind of syllabic function key-the complete key, the null key and the final consonant key and also calculate a lot of keyboards that adopt no syllabic function key. However, there are many other factors to judge the efficiency of inputting Hangul on a telephone keyboard. If we want to make more accurate estimate of a telephone Hangul keyboard, we must consider both logical data and experimental data as well.
Cut-slope management system (CSMS) has been investigated all slopes on the road of the whole country to evaluate risk rating of each slope. Based on this evaluation, the decision-making for maintenance can be conducted, and this procedure will be helpful to establish a consistent and efficient policy of safe road. CSMS has updated the database of all slopes annually, and this database is constructed based on a basic and detailed investigation. In the database, there are two type of data: first one is an objective data such as slopes' location, height, width, length, and information about underground and bedrock, etc; second one is subjective data, which is decided by experts based on those objective data, e.g., degree of emergency and risk, maintenance solution, etc. The purpose of this study is identifying an data application plan to utilize those CSMS data. For this purpose, logistic regression, which is a basic machine-learning method to construct a prediction model, is performed to predict a judging-type variable (i.e., subjective data) based on objective data. The constructed logistic model shows the accurate prediction, and this model can be used to judge a priority of slopes for detailed investigation. Also, it is anticipated that the prediction model can filter unusual data by comparing with a prediction value.
Although the number of venture start-ups has increased significantly, it is difficult to judge the success or failure based on short-term performance alone. The survival of a company cannot be guaranteed if it does not show sustainable growth prospects. As a growth factor for venture companies, the level of technology commercialization capability and competitive strategies are considered important. Recently, the emergence of innovative business models is creating new opportunities and driving the growth of numerous venture start-ups. This study tried to investigate the mediating effect of business model innovation in the relationship between technology commercialization capability, competitive strategy and the growth prospects of venture companies. For this, empirical analysis was conducted using the original data of the Research on the Precision Status of Venture Firms 2021. As a result, production, manufacturing, marketing capability, cost leadership and product differentiation had a positive(+) effect on growth prospects. The mediating effect of business model innovation between all factors except for manufacturing capacity and growth prospects was verified. This study expanded the scope of research by shedding new light on the factors influencing the long-term growth prospects of venture companies and revealing business model innovation as a new mediating variable. In future research, it is necessary to develop an objective measurement tool and to identify differences according to industrial characteristics.

The ICEC (Index of Construction Engineer's Competency) quantifies the competence of construction engineers using such parameters as experience, education, and qualifications and assigns four technical grades (expert, advanced, intermediate, and beginners) to construction engineers according to their scores for the efficient management and loading of technical personnel. However, as of 2020, the seventh year since its implementation, ICEC has shown many problems in its application, unlike its intended purpose. So institutional supplementation is required to provide improvement measures that can cope with the changing labor market environment and complement the current ICEC. Therefore, this study examined the current status of the career management system after the introduction of the ICEC, suggested a career index proportional to the competence of construction engineers from the beginner to the expert level, and developed an effective capability evaluation model I2CEC. The improved model presented in this study provides a means to comprehensively judge the performance, experience, and the professional work abilities of construction management engineers. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of efficient manpower and career management systems for enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic construction industry.

In this study, to disseminate the Practical On-site Cooperation Model (POCoM) for practical improvement of science teaching and learning through cooperation between researcher and teacher, an in-service program has been developed, applied and evaluated. The in-service program emphasizes the following three aspects; (1) video-recording of actual science teaching has been used as a primary resource, (2) communication between teacher and researcher and among teachers have been emphasized, (3) activities have been mainly included. The in-service program has been implemented for nine hours, and 17 science teachers have been recruited as volunteers. The result shows that, by checking the agreements between raters, we found that teachers' expertise in analyzing the science class using the Korean Teaching Observation Protocol (KTOP) has improved, and we have confirmed that teachers are able to judge whether the science class has improved or not. Through the questionnaire, various highly positive responses could be obtained from teachers. And through the observation of teachers' activities during the in-service program, teachers' questions, their difficulties in doing activities, and their comments for improving the program has also been analyzed. Finally, based on the results, a list of recommendations for a more effective in-service program have been suggested. It is expected that this list can be utilized for more effective and meaningful design and implementation of in-service course.
Image-based traffic information collection systems have entered widespread adoption and use in many countries since these systems are not only capable of replacing existing loop-based detectors which have limitations in management and administration, but are also capable of providing and managing a wide variety of traffic related information. In addition, these systems are expanding rapidly in terms of purpose and scope of use. Currently, the utilization of image processing technology in the field of traffic accident management is limited to installing surveillance cameras on locations where traffic accidents are expected to occur and digitalizing of recorded data. Accurately recording the sequence of situations around a traffic accident in a freeway and then objectively and clearly analyzing how such accident occurred is more urgent and important than anything else in resolving a traffic accident. Therefore, in this research, existing technologies, this freeway attribute, velocity changes, volume changes, occupancy changes reflect judge the primary. Furthermore, We pointed out by many past researches while presenting and implementing an active and environmentally adaptive methodology capable of effectively reducing false detection situations which frequently occur even with the Gaussian Mixture model analytical method which has been considered the best among well-known environmental obstacle reduction methods. Therefore, in this way, the accident was the final decision. Also, environmental factors occur frequently, and with the index finger situations, effectively reducing that can actively and environmentally adaptive techniques through accident final judgment. This implementation of the evaluate performance of the experiment road of 12 incidents in simulated and the jang-hang IC's real-time accident experiment. As a result, the do well detection 93.33%, false alarm 6.7% as showed high reliability.

This study has its own goal to deliver the accurate dose on the target volume by calculating and modifying the attenuation rate of photon beam transmitting the couch top with geometric model. The experiment was that the transmission rate and attenuation rate of photon beam transmitting the couch top was predicted by the geometric model, then compared and analyzed with what was measured experimentally based on that. The result showed that the predicted value by the geometric model accorded closely with the experimental value. In addition, in order to judge whether the practical clinical application is available, the point dose, measured after modifying the attenuation rate modelinged according to the treatment plan of a patient of spine radiosurgery, was compared with the one done nothing. The result was that the former showed decreased error range with treatment planned one than the latter. This papers calculated the transmission and attenuation rate with the geometric model transmitting the couch top and verified it experimentally. This method is expected to be very useful in not only the radiosurgery using Novalis but also the general radiation therapy.

Recently the interest for the environment is increasing. So the criterion for the evaluation of the burner has changed. For efficient driving problem, if the thermal efficiency is higher and the oxygen in exhaust gas is lower, then burner is evaluated better. For environmental problem. burner must satisfy NOx limit, soot limit and CO limit. Generally the experienced operator judge of the combustion status of the burner by the color of flame. we don't still have any satisfactory solution against it. the relation of the combustion status and the color of the flame hasn't still been established. This paper is the study about the relation of the combustion status and the color of the flame. This paper describes development of real time flame diagnosis technique that evaluate and diagnose combustion state such as consistency of components in exhaust gas, stability of flame in quantitative sense. In this paper, it was proposed on the flame diagnosis technique of burner using image processing algorithm, the parameter extracted from the image of the flame was used as the input variables of the flame diagnostic system. at first, linear regression algorithm and multiple regression algorithm was used to obtain linear multi-nominal expression. Using the constructed inference algorithm, the amount of NOx and CO of the combustion gas was successfully inferred. the combustion control system will be realized sooner or later.

Nowadays, architecture in urban areas is dominated by the goal of spanning wide spaces and creating openings large enough to distribute daylight to building interiors. Daylight availability of building in city strongly depends not only on the building's height but also on spaces between buildings. Recently numbers of disputes over the daylight availability are increasing in high density developed areas because residents' demand for pleasant residential environment is getting stronger. Therefore in this study we constructed the three-dimensional information of buildings using LiDAR data connected with digital map and then suggested conclusions by applying it to daylight availability analysis. This study presents an approach to judge accurately the violation of a right to enjoy sunshine by using altitude and azimuths of the sun, simulating three-dimensional urban space precisely, and classifying the total duration of sunshine and the continuous duration of sunshine each householder. We expect that local government performs precisely the confirmation and permission business about urban planning and design by advising this approach.
