  • COSMOS system which was developed in Seoul for real-time signal control was designed to judge traffic condition for practicing signal operation. However, it occurs efficiency problem that stop line detection and queue length detection could not judge overflow saturation of street. For that reason, following research process GPS data of Seoul city's corporationowned taxi to calculate travel speed that excluded existing system of stop line detection and queue length detection. Also, "Research of calculating queue length by GPS data" which was progressed with following research expressed queue length. It is based on establishing algorithm of judging congestion situation. The algorithm was applied to a few areas where appeared congestion situation consistently to confirm real time traffic condition with established network. • This paper is to illustrate a variety of court-annexed ADR programs and vindicate its implications of court-annexed ADR in United States. It has been almost three decades since Frank Sender articulated his vision of the multi-door courthouse. The court-annexed ADR originated from the concept of multi-door court house. Professor Sander argued that the court must transform from the court that provides litigation, only one type of dispute resolution, to the multi-door courthouse which provides a variety of dispute resolution methods including a number of ADR programs. The types of court-annexed ADR on which this paper focus are court-annexed mediation, court-annexed arbitration, mini trial, early neutral evaluation(ENE), summary jury trial, rent-a-judge, and med-arb in United States. The findings of this paper is as follows. First, the ADR movement is the irreversible and dominant phenomenon in the US court. The motivation of incorporating ADR into court is to reduce the cost of court to handle the civil disputes and to eliminate the delay of litigation process in the court. At the same time, a couple of studies of ADR revealed that the ADR program satisfied users of ADR. Second, the landscape of ADR has not been fixed. In 1970's, the court-annexed arbitration has been popular. In 1980's, the diverse kinds of ADR programs were introduced into the federal court as well as state courts, such as mini trial, early neutral evaluation(ENE), summary jury trial, and court-annexed mediation. But in 2000s, the court-annexed mediation has been the dominant type of ADR in United States. Third, the each type of ADR program has its own place for the dispute resolution. Since Korean society enters into the stage in which diverse kind of disputes occur in the areas of environment, construction, medicare, etc, it is desirable to take into consideration of the introduction of ADR to dispute resolution in Korea.

  • Recently, interest in online teaching·learning and evaluation tools has increased in the context of Covid-19. In order to use tools effectively, it is necessary to identify the structural influence and causal relationship between the learner's affective and cognitive variables. In this study, to identify a causal relationship between motivation and thinking while using online judge, research and competing model were established and model fit/path analysis were performed. It was found that there was a linear causal relationship from tool usage, self-efficacy, flow, logical thinking, to computational thinking. It was confirmed that 'self-efficacy → flow', or 'flow' had mediating effect on the path from tool usage to thinking, and tool usage was not exerted to thinking through 'flow → self-efficacy'. The causality of 'logical thinking → computational thinking' was identified on the path where tool usage affects thinking ability through learning motivation, but the causality of 'computational thinking → logical thinking' was not identified.

  • In situations of spatio-temporal perception about visuo-auditory stimulus, researches propose optimal integration hypothesis that perceptual process is optimized to the interaction of the senses for the precision of perception. So, when the visual information considered generally dominant over any other sense is ambiguous, the information of the other sense like auditory stimulus influences the perceptual process in interaction with visual information. Thus, we performed two different experiments to certain the conditions of the interacting senses and influence of the condition. We consider the interaction of the visuo-auditory stimulation in the free space, the color of visual stimulus and sex difference of testee with normal people. In first experiment, 12 participants were asked to judge the change in the frequency of audio-visual stimulation using a visual flicker and auditory flutter stimulation in the free space. When auditory temporal cues were presented, the change in the frequency of the visual stimulation was associated with a perceived change in the frequency of the auditory stimulation as the results of the previous studies using headphone. In second experiment, 30 male and 30 female were asked to judge the change in the frequency of audio-visual stimulation using a color of visual flicker and auditory flutter stimulation. In the color condition using red and green. Both male and female testees showed same perceptual tendency. male and female testees showed same perceptual tendency however, in case of female, the standard deviation is larger than that of male. This results implies that audio-visual asymmetry effects are influenced by the cues of visual and auditory information, such as the orientation between auditory and visual stimulus, the color of visual stimulus.

  • It is necessary to develop a system to judge inferiority of goods to minimize the loss at small factories in which produces various kinds of goods with small amounts. That system can be developed based on HTM theory. HTM is a model to apply the operation principles of the neocortex in human brain to the machine learning. We have to build the trained HTM network to use the HTM-based machine learning system. It requires the knowledge for the HTM theory. This paper presents the design and implementation of the training system to support the development of HTM networks which recognize the molding parts to judge its badness. This training system allows field technicians to train the HTM network with high accuracy without the knowledge of the HTM theory. It also can be applied to any kind of the HTM-based judging systems for molding parts.

  • This paper presents a real-time Spatial Decision Support System(SDSS) for security camera image monitoring. Other SDSSs are not real-time systems, i.e., they show the images that are already transformed into data format such as virtual reality. In our system, the image is broadcasted in real-time since the purpose of the security camera needs to do it in real-time. With these real-time images, other systems do not add up anything more; the screen just shows the images from the camera. However in our system, we created a motion detection system so that the supervisor(Judge) of a sec.urity monitoring system does not have to pay attention to it constantly. In other words, we created a judge advising system for the supervisor of the security monitoring system. Most of small objects do not need the supervisor's attention since they could be birds, cats, dogs, etc. if they show up in the screen image. In this new system the system only report the unusual change to the supervisor by calculating the motion and size of objects in the screen. Thus the supervisor can be liberated from the 24-hour concentration duty; instead he/she can be only alerted when the real security threat such as a big moving object like an human intruder appears. Thus this system can be called a real-time Spatial DSS. The utility of this system is proved mathematically by using the concept of entropy. In other words, big objects like human intruders increase the entropy of the screen images significantly therefore the supervisor must be alerted. Thus by proving its utility of the system theoretically, we can claim that our new real-time SDSS is superior to others which do not use our technique.hnique.

  • This study aims to investigate and analyze the overall recognition of the photovoltaic system for the application of BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) in Korea. For this purpose, a survey was carried on through questionnaires answered by 6 groups of experts such as construction engineers, registered architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, university or college professors, and others who are ranked high in their companies or universities or colleges and who mostly seem to be eager to participate in the development of the PV system and to make a business of the system. The results of the survey are as follows: 1. About 95% of those experts who answered the questionnaire have known about renewable energy, and 93% of them are interested in solar energy as alternative energy 2. Host experts have a lot of information on the solar energy system, but have scanty information on the PV system. 3. The experts in the educational and research field have researched for the reasonable period of the participation in the development of the PV system and the period of making a business of the system. They judge that companies in the mechanical and electrical field will participate in the development of the PV system and will make a business of the system in 5 years. 4. The experts have thought that the PV system is designed not for economy but for the environment of the earth and that PV system technology in Korea is much lower than that in the advanced countries. 5. The experts hesitate to participate in the development of the PV system and to make a business of the system because they have little confidence in the economy of the PV system now and because they have thought that they will bear a great financial burden of construction cost 6. The experts judge that it is most desirable to apply the PV system to the rooftops of buildings. And they are greatly interested in the BIPV.

  • In an effort to enhance the independence of and expertise in military aircraft accident investigation, a permanent accident investigation board should be established. Establishing permanent accident investigation board would render the military accident investigation more reliable and would increase its public esteem. Because there is no provision governing the responsibilities of the investigation and cooperation between civil and military authority in case that both civil and military aircraft are involved, it is necessary to fill this gap by enacting appropriate laws. In case of civil aircraft accident investigation involving a military issue, it would be better to allow military authority to be involved in the investigation. For the betterment of investigation, it is also necessary to provide a field investigator an authority to directly collect relevant information. Since the sole purpose of accident investigation is to prevent the recurrence of aircraft accidents, the scope of information disclosure should be limited and the investigation report shall be used for neither criminal procedure nor disciplinary procedure so that the objectivity of the investigation should be ensured.

  • With the data base subject of first grade paper test of information handling technician, We proposed special method of evaluating learning ability directivity to judge that student can understand the contents of each chapter exactly or not, using assigned function and fuzzy deduction in this thesis. Using fuzzy logic, the proposed method of evaluating learning ability is dividing the presenting frequency of setting questions for examination about the subject of database into three rank and we can define this as the important. We applied the fuzzy assigned rate about the number of times of studying through the important of studying and the fuzzy assigned rate about formative evaluation to each of nine fuzzy deduction theories and than evaluated comprehension rate of learning. With the fuzzy grade about learning comprehension of each chapter and assigned rate about the score of generalized evaluation; We applied these two thing to the deduction rule of fuzzy and made it as defuzzifier and finally evaluated learning. We made that the result of eventual evaluating learning is very useful for learners to diagnosis learned contents by themselves and also it can be great material to judge that learners can get the goal of learning or not synthetically.

  • Many studies on algorithm judging system which verifies the correctness and the time efficiency of your program have been underway recently, most of which are on an online judging system focused on programming contests. However this study is mainly about development and application of the judging system based on client-server. Especially, we designed to promote metacognition and motivation which are emphasized in CRESST model, and implemented the total system that consists of the problem, data set, validation program, and user service environments. We applied our system to elementary, middle, and high school students, and We noticed a significant difference of average score between the experimental and control group in posttest and concluded that the teaching method using our system gave the bigger positive effects on programming learning.
