Given the growing deployment of mobile offices, we need to understand the fectors which affect their successful use and implementation. We in this paper present a parsimonious model which integrates the IS success model and the TAM. The main feature of the model is that it allows one to explore the role of mobility of mobile office systems in determining the level of system usage and dependence. Although the mobility is the key property of any mobile system, there is little research effort exerted to understand how mobility affects the traditional IS factors such as perceived ease of use and usefulness. In addition to the system usage, this model also uses dependence as the dependent variable. This is expected to provide richer understanding of the study context. We collected survey data from 1,614 field service workers of a major domestic electronic company. They use PDAs to retrieve information regarding the specifics of the customer service requests and to report what has been done for each service job. The results from SEM analysis show that mobility improves the perceived ease of use which then leads the field service workers to depend more on the PDA systems. Interestingly enough, however, the workers' satisfaction does not cause more frequent use of the system.

Recently, due to the continuous changes in the business environment and increased competition, enterprises are introducing technology management to increase their value and enhance their competitiveness. In this study, based on the structural equations model, we investigated the effects of the core success factors of knowledge management on job fidelity and organizational performance and the mediating effects of organizational learning. In addition, organizational culture and information technology and process were assumed to be the key factors affecting knowledge management, and organizational learning was represented by experimental learning, indirect learning, and shared learning. As a result, it was found that knowledge management positively affects business fidelity and organizational performance and, even when it is mediated by organizational learning, it positively affects business fidelity and organization performance directly or indirectly. Therefore, we were able to confirm the importance of utilizing knowledge management in companies and to suggest an appropriate application scope for applying knowledge management and organizational learning.

This study aims to clarify factors having effect on the turnover and entrepreneurial intention of financial institution workers. Particularly, this study analyzed the effect of job satisfaction, job insecurity, retirement expectation and retirement preparation activities. As research subjects, this study selected financial institution workers residing in Seoul and the capital area and used a total of 508 samples as analysis data. This study analyzed job satisfaction, job insecurity, retirement expectation and retirement preparation activities as factors having effect on the turnover and entrepreneurial intention of financial institution workers. The research results can be summarized as follows; Firstly, all the factors of job satisfaction had negative (-) effect on their turnover intention, and compensation satisfaction and interpersonal relation satisfaction also had negative (-) effect on their entrepreneurial intention. Secondly, since job insecurity had positive (+) effect on their turnover intention and entrepreneurial intentions, the more insecure their jobs became, the more their turnover and entrepreneurial intention increased. Thirdly, in the retirement expectation, forced frustration and continuation had positive (+) effect on their turnover intention, and forced frustration, new start and continuation also had positive (+) effect on their entrepreneurial intention. Fourthly, in the retirement preparation activity, entrepreneurial preparation, social preparation and physical preparation of retirement preparation activity had positive (+) effect on their turnover intention, but economical preparation had negative (-) effect on their turnover intention, while entrepreneurial preparation had positive (+) effect on their entrepreneurial intention. In other words, as they prepare business start-up more for retirement, their turnover and entrepreneurial intentions increase more. Although they receive higher wages than other workers in different job fields as financial institution workers, they showed significant results about turnover and entrepreneurial intentions, which indicates that job satisfaction, job insecurity, retirement expectation and preparation activities function as important variables in the relation with their turnover and entrepreneurial intentions. Such research results imply that it is necessary to develop various educational programs and turnover and business start-up support programs so that financial institution workers may have better understanding of both success and failure cases when they actually work on business start-ups.
The service industry needs face-to-face customer service, which suggests the need for education training for workers. In other words, it is meaningful to look at whether education training for workers has a positive impact on the organization's performance. The success through education training will be due to the combined role of various factors. In this regard, the study focuses on how the attitude of workers in education training can play a role rather than just verifying the effectiveness of education training alone. As a result of the study, it was found that an employee's attitude toward education training, which was considered necessary to produce more effective results, was a regulator to further improve the educational satisfaction of training. After all, the more positive workers are about education training, the better workers' job performance can be. Therefore, promoting employee's education attitude before education training needs to be a priority, and further studies may call for more in-depth examination of the role of education training attitude.
Purpose: This study aims to explore the significance and potential strategies for revitalizing local currency systems. Designed for use within specific regions or communities, local currencies play a crucial role in supporting and revitalizing local economies. By promoting local consumption and supporting local businesses, local currencies contribute to economic growth and job creation at the community level. Research design, data and methodology: The research methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing literature and various case studies to analyze the effectiveness and sustainability of local currencies. The literature review investigates the theoretical background and diverse implementation cases of local currencies, while the case studies identify the success factors and challenges faced by actual local currency initiatives. Results: This paper confirms that local currencies contribute to economic growth and job creation at the community level by promoting local consumption and supporting local businesses. Additionally, this study investigates the economic, social, and environmental impacts of local currencies. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study analyzes the challenges faced by local currency systems and proposes strategies to enhance their effectiveness and sustainability. These strategies are expected to provide practical assistance in the development and implementation of local currencies, contributing to the revitalization of local economies and the sustainable development of local communities.

In a workplace, workers exhaust their resources due to workplace adversity or acquire resources through job-related passion. The purpose of this study is to verify the factors that affect the conversion of workers to entrepreneurs and through what paths entrepreneurial intention is generated. To this end, the effects of workplace adversity and job-related passion on entrepreneurial intention were explored with workers in Korea. Also, by empirically analyzing the effects of workplace adversity and job-related passion on entrepreneurial intention through the mediation of job-related creativity, this author attempted to derive the factors and implications associated with the conversion of workers to entrepreneurs. Analyzing 333 workers' data acquired through online surveys with the statistical packages of SPSS and AMOS, this study has gained the following results. First, workplace adversity is found to have positive(+) effects on entrepreneurial intention. This implies that workplace adversity that is negatively regarded is rather a crucial variable that increases entrepreneurial intention. Second, workplace adversity has positive(+) effects on job-related creativity. It means that job-related creativity is an effective factor to overcome workplace adversity. Third, job-related passion is found to have positive(+) effects on entrepreneurial intention. The passion to concentrate on the resources secured is an important factor to elevate entrepreneurial intention. Fourth, job-related passion is verified to have positive(+) effects on job-related creativity. It implies that creative methods can be effective in achieving the goal. Fifth, job-related creativity is found to have positive(+) effects on entrepreneurial intention. Creativity is an intention or action that precedes starting up a business, and it is judged that high job-related creativity reflects high expectation about the possibility of success in starting up a business. Sixth, job-related creativity is found to have mediating effects in correlation between workplace adversity and entrepreneurial intention. Seventh, job-related creativity is found to have mediating effects in correlation between job-related passion and entrepreneurial intention. This means that job-related creativity is an effective factor to alleviate the adversity of workers and increase job-related passion in the process of becoming entrepreneurs. Academically, there were few previous studies related to the adversity of workers in Korea. As this study targets office workers, it can be said that it is a differentiated study extending the range of subjects. Also, practically, it has been learned that negative workplace adversity, too, is an important variable that affect entrepreneurial intention positively. This is practically meaningful in terms of office workers' career management because even in adverse situations that are negative, starting up a business through work experiences may work as an alternative.

The purpose of this research is to initiate discussion to simplify existing tools and methods for managing projects which make project management a harder job to perform and a tougher task to handle. Additionally, summarizing the definitions of "project" that have been found from reviewing the relevant literature, it deliberates on revising the duties and responsibilities of project manager and proposes performance expectancy triangle explaining a relationship among accountability, responsibility and authority - the Tri-butes. It sheds light on several factors critical to the success of projects. Finally, we propose a function indicating that customer demands or desires greatly affect project complexity.

This paper deals with the mission effectiveness of an airfleet, Airfleet operating system consists of a finite number of units performing the several mission types. Earlier works for the mission effectiveness of a fleet is limited to only one mission type and computer simulation approaches. The mission effectiveness. model of a fleet is constructed by three attributes - the mission readiness of the units, the mission reliability and capability of units. The environmental conditions and human factors affecting the mission success are considered together. The solution of the model is obtained by analytical technique. Especially, AOS is considered a closed queueing network with a finite number of units and a single job class. And then, the mission readiness of the units is found by the mean value analysis. The model would be a useful tool to readily evaluate mission effectiveness of a airfleet as it is and provide a criterion for determining the optimal operating policy.
Business integration has been considered as one of the most critical success factors that enable the firms to gain competitive edges. Despite this trend, it has also been found among not a few companies that the activities that should be functionally tied with are performed even independently. In this study, an integrated model of production planning and inventory has been developed. Computerization of the production planning activities is proposed and implemented. We also proposed the reasonable inventory levels of each item using historic data of the items, which are composed of safety stock from the given fill-rate, operating stock from the production patterns, and reserved stock from the production planning. This study has helped the firm to have clearer job definition of the related processes, to tightly control the inventory by setting and tracing the reasonable fill rates for every product, and to quickly respond to the market changes through the computerized production planning process.

Construction management requires decision-making skills. Main approaches to training construction management students are: (1) analyzing sample situations involving decision-making; and (2) teaching logical decision-making procedures. The absence of 'pressure' factors in these approaches has significant impacts on the success of the training. The approaches also lack 'dynamic' effects that help create a spontaneous plan for construction projects where unforeseen changes and interruptions may occur. To minimize the adverse effects of the existing approaches, this paper proposes a framework for developing a web-based training system. The application is delivered as a game involving decision-making on the student's part in response to developments at the job-site, and where one student competes against another in an attempt to simulate a real-world scenario.
