The research on the analysis of relationship between job stress and job satisfaction has been conducted targeting 355 Geriatric Care Helpers who are caring for the elderly people in the geriatric care centers in the area of Busan by the Act of Long-term Care Insurance for the Geriatric. As the method for the analysis t-test was conducted to investigate their job stress, counter-stress experience and effort, and job satisfaction. Also regression analysis was conducted to analyse the factors having effect on the job satisfaction of geriatric care helpers. The results of analysis can be summarized as following. First, job stress of geriatric care helpers at hospitals has shown significant difference from that at geriatric care centers, while job satisfaction of geriatric care helpers at care centers has shown some difference from that at hospitals. Second, measurement experience and effort of job stress was shown to some difference according to each institution. Third, the effect factors on geriatric care helpers were employment type, job stress, stress with patients in the case of hospitals, while those on geriatric care helpers were average wage, employment type, the number of charging patients, job stress, job requirement stress, and stress with patients. However, regardless of the type of employed institution, job satisfaction was shown high in case of full time job, low job stress, and high stress with patients.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between job stress, job crafting, and organizational commitment and the moderating effect of job crafting for members working at social enterprises in Busan. The analysis results are as follows. First, job stress confirmed the negative effect on organizational commitment. Second, it was confirmed that job crafting had a significant effect on organizational commitment in the relationship between job stress and organizational commitment. Based on the results of this study, since job stress of social enterprise workers lowers job commitment, a plan to effectively manage and reduce their stress is required. In addition, job crafting regulates the relationship between job stress and organizational commitment, which means that although members are stressed, job stress has a different negative effect on organizational commitment depending on how much they perceive the meaning and value of their work.
According to the report of the WHO, workers have been exposed to much job strain such as job load, responsibility, role, interpersonal conflict etc. In Korea, studies on job strain started to become active from 1990s and now hundreds of studies are actively under going or publishing so that the studies are contributing to development and improvement of job strain. Representative measurement models of job strain are Job Strain Model of Karasek, Job Stress Model of NOISH, Korea Occupational Stress Scale, JSQ(Job Stress Questionnaire), K-OSI(Korea Version of Occupational Stress Inventory) etc. (Lee Kwan-Suk, 2012 ; KOSHA, 2003). Among them, Job Strain Model of Karasek had been loved by many researchers of job strain before Korea Occupational Stress Scale was developed. Job Strain Model of Karasek had been fitted to Korean style and then, used to analyze job strain of Korean people so that this Scale highly contributed to seeking relationship with cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disease caused by job, smoking, drug, alcohol poisoning, and pulse(Lee Kwan-Suk, 2012). But as this Model was studied and developed based on foreign culture and life pattern, a model fit to Korea was developed to measure job strain for Korean people, which is Korea Occupational Stress Scale now most frequently used in measuring job strain. Accordingly, after this study made questionnaire survey about same population using the two methods used most frequently in measuring job strain, the study investigated what features appeared, what correlations appear between two models, and comparatively analyzed characteristics each independent and dependent variable. Based on this, the study aimed to exactly express job strain of Korean people. The subjects of the study were a population of 233, and Karasek's Questionnaire and KOSS's Questionnaire were surveyed at the same time. The results were analyzed by statistical program to obtain significant difference between two models. Four particular groups were divided with Job Strain Model of Karasek and the four particular groups were measured with Korea Occupational Stress Scale. And job strain come from combination of two models was measured, with which new comparative analysis method was suggested.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define the relationships between job stress, professional self-concept, and job satisfaction among nurses in rehabilitation units and to identify factors that influence job satisfaction. Methods: This study surveyed 240 nurses working at the rehabilitation units of 10 hospitals located in G City. To collect the data, nurses' job stress, the professional self-concept of nurses instrument (PSCNI), and the Korean-Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (K-MSQ) were used. The data were analyzed through t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The scores for job stress, professional self-concept, and job satisfaction were $3.34{\pm}0.61$, $72.36{\pm}8.64$ and $3.17{\pm}0.39$, respectively. Job satisfaction and job stress showed a low-level negative correlation with statistical significance (r=-.13, p=.042), whereas a medium-level positive correlation was found between job satisfaction and professional self-concept (r=.46, p<.001). Job stress, professional self-concept, total career length and size of working hospital explained approximately 25.8% of job satisfaction (F=17.52, p<.001). Conclusion: Considering the results in this study, it is necessary to develop a practical educational program to establish positive professional self-concept for nurses in rehabilitation units. Such efforts must be supported by clinical nursing administrations through policies aimed at reducing job stress and increasing job satisfaction.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of job demand and recovery experience from job stress on job embeddedness among workers in the service industry. Methods: The participants were 223 workers from the service industry in P and Y Cities with the help of a structured self-report questionnaire, administered between July 10 and August 20, 2017. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Results: There were significant differences in job embeddedness in terms of satisfaction with salary, continuous service, perceived stress level and the perceived health status of the subjects. There were significant positive correlations between role clarification in job demands (r=.55), recovery experience from job stress (r=.27) and job embeddedness. From the multiple regression analysis, the most significant factors affecting job embeddedness were found to be role clarification in job demands (${\beta}=.47$), recovery experience from job stress (${\beta}=.23$), and perceived stress level (${\beta}=.18$). These variables explain 34.0 % of the total variance in job embeddedness. Conclusion: In order to increase job embeddedness among workers in the service industry, it is necessary to prepare measures to increase recovery experience from job stress and to decrease role clarificationin job demand, and perceived stress level.
Purpose: The purpose of study was to identify the relationships among attitude on job rotation, job stress and organizational commitment of hospital nurses. Methods: The data were collected from the self-reported questionnaire responses of 430 nurses from Sep. 1 to Sep. 30, 2010 at a university hospital in D city and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: Nurses who experienced job rotation showed negative attitude on job rotation (t=-4.84, p<.001), high level of job stress (t=3.81, p<.001) and low level of organizational commitment (t=-1.99, p= .047). There was a significantly negative correlation between nurses' attitude on job rotation and job stress (r=-.13, p<.01). Also, there was a significantly positive correlation between nurses' attitude on job rotation and organizational commitment (r=.32, p<.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that job rotation in nurses needs to be planned based on the individual attitude, opinion, specialty and capability in nurse for reducing their job stress and enhancing organizational commitment of hospital nurses.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore job stress, job satisfaction and their relationship among Workers' Compensation Case Managers. Method: 137 Workers' Compensation Case Managers (89 case workers and 48 nurses) responded to a self-administered questionnaire. The data were collected in october, 2006 and analyzed using t-test and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient with SPSS WIN 14.0 program. Result: The mean score of job stress of nurses was 2.60 which was higher than that of the Korean female workers'. The mean score of job satisfaction was 2.30. The significant inverse correlation between job stress and job satisfaction was found (P<.01). In regard to the 7 items, the significant inverse correlations were found in lack of reward, interpersonal conflict, organizational system, insufficient job control, and occupational environment. Conclusion: The result indicated that the Workers' Compensation Case Managers have higher occupational stress and lower job satisfaction. To improve their job satisfaction, it is necessary to reinforce reward, organizational system, job autonomy, and cooperative occupational environment.
Objectives: An increase in the number of caregivers is necessary to provide services to the elderly, but more importantly, it is qualitative management for them. The purpose of this study was to identify occupational stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment and to explore the impact of occupational stress on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among caregivers employed in health service centers for the elderly. Methods: This descriptive survey was a cross-sectional correlational design of 118 caregivers. The questionnaire included occupational stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Stepwise multiple regression was applied. Results: Job satisfaction and organization commitment of caregivers were found to be above the average. There was a high level of job stress due to lack of job autonomy, job demands, and inadequate compensation. It has been found that the inappropriate compensation, organization system, work culture, and lack of job autonomy affected job satisfaction of caregivers. The factors affecting organizational commitment were inadequate compensation, job insecurity, and work culture. Conclusions: Efforts should be made to assess and complement the appropriateness of compensation and work culture that are taken to relieve job stress to enhance the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of caregivers.

Data collection was conducted from April 1, 2017 to April 30, and data analysis was performed using the SPSS/WIN 23 statistical program. There were statistically significant difference in the job stress of medical technician by age, marriage, occupation, hospital size, position, parenting form, employment type, and lunch break. Job stress by occupation was highest in medical laboratory technologists, followed by radiological technologists and physical therapists. Job satisfaction was the highest among physical therapists. followed by radiological technologists and medical laboratory technologists. There were significant differences in age, occupation, parenting form, type of employment, and lunch break according to demographic characteristics. In order to reduce the job stress and job satisfaction of the medical technician working at the hospital, the development of the job environment should be sought and the hospital should also be removed from the authoritarian management system.
The purpose of this paper is to review the relationship between job characteristics and job stress responses(physiological response, psychological response, behavioral response), and the moderating effect of social support. Based on the responses from 187 employees in small & medium manufacturing industry, hierarchical regressional analysis showed that job characteristics factors have partly negative relationships with job stress response. However, job variety has positive relationship. Social support has partly moderating effect on the relationship between job characteristics and job stress.
