In order for a cook to cook, there should be a space called a kitchen; moreover, to prepare good food, there should be good kitchen facilities in the kitchen. With good facilities, the cook can save time and have higher productivity. On the other hand, with poor facilities, equipment and utensils, the cook can get demotivated, have poor capability, suffer from high stress and possibly can cause some diseases. Therefore, better facilities are essential for cooking environment. The purpose of this study is to find out how significant the job stress is according to the demographic characteristics. Also, how kitchen facilities and moving line influence the job stress. In order to answer above questions, 278 copies of questionnaire were made and given to cooks at hotels with five star or similar ranks. Using SPSS Win 12.0 the statistics package, frequency, factor and reliability analysis were conducted. Then, regression analysis was carried out. As a result of the test, difference analysis on statistic characteristics was partly found. In addition, facilities and moving line affected job stress. Also, working area in the kitchen inversely influenced the job stress.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of employees' psychological empowerment on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and the intention of changing an occupation, and then to suggest the ideal ways to improve productivity through human resource management and to get competitive advantages for efficient management. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we performed both literature review and empirical research. There are conclusions to investigate psychological empowerment about employees in family restaurants. First, self-determination ability, competence and the influential power of which components of empowerment employees perceived affect job satisfaction significantly. In other words, empowered people feel job satisfaction and commit to their organizations. In the relation between empowerment and organizational commitment, influential power and roles affect them significantly, but self-determination ability and the meaning do not. Next, job satisfaction significantly affects organizational commitment and the intention of changing jobs, but organizational commitment doesn't affect the intention of changing jobs significantly. Finally, we suggest some implications about the management of family restaurants based on the results of this study.

Workers in logistics centers also are exposed to serious musculoskeletal disorders the same as workers in general manufacturing due to operating forklifts and other labor duties. The frequency of these work related injuries decreases, workers' job satisfaction In addition, it causes many employees questioning a job change, which is regarded as the primary factor which drops the productivity. In this paper, we conducted a survey ti perceive the correlation between work related injuries in the fields of distribution centers and job satisfaction. Furthermore we made statistical analysis with our findings. The results of our analysis showed that the frequency of work related injuries due to workers' repetitive loading and unloading work is the primary factor which lowers job satisfaction. In order to improve aforementioned problem we propose first of all loading and unloading on pallet basis, second of all automation and computerization of logistics systems, and third of all ensurinf sufficient break time.

Interest in gazelle-firms, which contribute to sustained job creation, is increasing. This study aims to analyze the regional characteristics of employment by gazelle-firms in terms of job quality as well as job quantity. Furthermore, the characteristics by industry for each type are compared. The major results are as follows. First, the regional characteristics of job creation are varied in terms of the quantitative and qualitative aspects. Second, it is found that the characteristics by industry for each type are different. Therefore, each type should have discriminative strategy. These results provide policy implications that gazelle-firms' policies should be tailed to regional characteristics in order to foster gazelle-firms more effectively.
Purpose: This is a descriptive study to provide basic material that enables to prevent industrial hospital nurses from occupational stress, health problems and work impairment by understanding their work environment, stress, Presenteeism and correlation among them. Method: The subjects for this study consists of 272 industrial hospital nurses who have attended the training conducted by KAOHN from October to December 2009 and recognized the purpose of this study and agreed to participate. The questionnaire included Korean Version of Occupational Stress questionnaire developed by S.J. Chang and Stanford Presenteeism Scale questionnaire translated by Y.M. Lee. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS/WIN 17.0. Result: The industrial hospital nurses get much more stress than the average in three fields of occupational stress: interpersonal conflict, job insecurity and occupational climate. The study shows in particular, the age group of twenties with one to three year work experience having higher than any other groups in occupational stress, work impairment and perceived productivity of Presenteeism. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop management for these groups of nurses. In addition, institutional support and policy should be rendered to secure job conditions so that occupational stress can be relieved from these nurses and to prevent work impairment in advance as occupational stress has substantial correlation with health problems, work impairment and perceived productivity of Presenteeism.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to confirm the change of nursing organizational characteristics and to define the difference of organizational outcome by measuring the organizational commitment and job satisfaction perceived by nursing staffs and patient satisfaction before and after organizational redesign. Method: The structured questionnaires of which contained organizational characteristics, organizational commitment and job satisfaction were developed from previous published studies after modification by researcher. The questionnaires were distributed to 1,200 and 679 nurses before and after nursing organizational change. patient satisfaction were measured before and after organizational change by direct interview with structured questionnaire from 1,566 and 1,291 patients. Results: 1. The organizational characteristics were significantly increased and the leadership of team leader and head nurse was significantly increased among the factors of organizational characteristics. 2. Organizational commitment was showed decreased tendency, but the difference was not significant. Job satisfaction was increased significantly and administration, autonomy, and job tasks were increased significantly in the factors of job satisfaction. Patient satisfaction was also increased significantly. 3. There was significant positive correlation between organizational commitment and job satisfaction and also job satisfaction and nursing organizational characteristics. All factors of organizational characteristics and satisfaction in present working unit were major factors to influence organizational commitment and explained 43.8% in a significant level by multiple regression analysis. The major factor which affect job satisfaction were the factors of nursing organizational characteristic except 'interaction with team leader' and satisfaction in present working unit among general characteristics and these factors explained 58.8% of job satisfaction. Conclusion: In conclusion, the nursing organizational change was very effective to bring about desirable change in nursing organizational characteristics and also to improve job satisfaction and patient satisfaction. Therefore the nursing productivity and comparability would be increased when the nursing organizational change is accomplished by the way of improving the factors of organizational characteristics and it would be followed by the promotion of job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Productivity is also a very important indicator in the construction industry as it can measure economic growth and the efficiency of each related production activity, either at the industrial level or at the corporate level. Technical factors indeed have a great impact on productivity, but in order to improve productivity in the actual construction industry, various productivity factors must be analyzed first, and the efforts to improve productivity at the project level are more important than the efforts to improve productivity at the construction industry level, which are addressed from a macro perspective. This study was designed to provide basic data for efficient productivity management activities of the project by selecting priority management factors through the causal analysis of the factors and the elicitation of the productivity degradation factors at the construction site to improve the quality of the construction industry.

This study tried to verify the causal relationship that SMEs' organizational culture and self-efficacy would affect job crafting and job satisfaction. Unlike previous domestic studies that have been studied for organizational culture at the organizational level and self-efficacy at the individual level, this study tried to verify the interaction between job crafting and job satisfaction using different mechanisms as antecedent factors. In order to verify the research model of this study, questionnaires of 144 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) workers located in Seoul and metropolitan areas were analyzed. Factor analysis and correlation analysis were performed to verify the reliability and validity of the research model on the relationship between variables, and empirical analysis was performed using regression analysis and mediation effect analysis to verify the hypothesis. The results of the study were first, that organizational culture and self-efficacy had a positive (+) effect on job crafting. On the other hand, relationship-oriented culture and hierarchical-oriented culture, which are sub-factors of organizational culture, were found to be insignificant. Second, organizational culture and self-efficacy were found to have a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, it was found that market-oriented culture and hierarchical-oriented culture, which are sub-factors of organizational culture, were not significant. Third, job crafting was found to have a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, it was found that the sub-factors of job crafting, disruptive job demands and social job resources, were not significant. This means that organizational culture partially affects job crafting and job satisfaction of SMEs, and job crafting also partially affects job satisfaction. The implications of this study are first, suggesting the meaning of SME organizational culture for stable and efficient human resource management for SMEs suffering from low productivity and high turnover rate. Second, it was meaningful to understand the possibility of introducing job crafting as an effective job management plan for SMEs. Third, in the current situation where there are few cases of practical introduction of job crafting, research on understanding job crafting for SMEs and improving job satisfaction is thought to be helpful in improving the productivity of SMEs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among trait anger, anger expression, job satisfaction, job commitment, and organizational performance, and especially to verify the effect of anger experience on organizational performance. Method: A descriptive study was conducted using a convenient sample. Data were collected by a self-report questionnaire from 671 clinical nurses in three university hospitals and analyzed by using SPSS 14.0 Win program with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Result: Organizational performance was significantly correlated with trait anger, anger expression-in, anger expression-out, anger control, job satisfaction, and job commitment. Multiple regression analysis showed that organizational performance was significantly predicted by job commitment, job satisfaction, educational level (university graduation), anger control, and working place (operative room), and 34.7% was explained by these variables. Conclusions: Out of anger expression, anger control significantly affected on organizational performance together with job commitment and job satisfaction. From this result, it could be concluded that nursing intervention for anger control have a positive effect on improving organizational performance. Further studies are needed to develop and test the effect of nursing intervention programs for anger control.
Polyurethane is an elastomer polymer, which is flexible, tough and resistant. This material is widely used various fields such as automobile, aeroplane, textiles, construction industries. Currently there exists more than 1,000 manufacturing companies in Korea that are closely related to Polyurethane. In spite of a number of Polyurethane manufacturing companies, there are little attention in academia as well as industries to study the safety and manufacturing process improvement on Polyurethane. In this paper, we consider a case study for the Polyurethane manufacturer to improve productivity by using safety management and manufacturing process reengineering. After careful analysis, we derive three enhancements to increasing the safety and productivity for the target company. Especially, we achieve about 16% productivity improvement in roller manufacturing process by replacing manual stirring job with automated mixing machine.
