The Impacts of ERG Factors on Organizational Attachment: Focused on the Mediating Effects Job Fit (ERG요인이 조직애착에 미치는 영향: 직무적합성의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This research emphasized that the importance of ERG elements such as existence needs, relatedness needs, and growth needs. Moreover, it focused on verifying the effects of these three elements on organizational attachment through person job fit. In addition, the mediating role of person job fit was clearly identified as a key variable that can lead to organizational attachment. To verify this, an empirical analysis was conducted on workers engaged in state-owned company, service, manufacturing, and distribution industries in Korea. Through empirical analysis, it was found that all three elements of ERG improve person job fit. Furthermore, person job fit was found to increase the level of organizational attachment. Thus, it was found that person job fit played a partial mediating role in the relationship between the three elements of ERG and organizational attachment. This research also identified which element has the strongest influence on person job fit. Through these results, practical implications were presented and future research directions were discussed.

Mediating Effect of Ego Resilience on the Relationship between Adult Attachment and Job Stress of Fire Officers (소방공무원의 성인애착과 직무스트레스의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과)

  • This study was conducted to investigate whether ego - resilience plays a mediating role in the relationship between adult attachment and job stress of fire officers, and to derive implications for job stress reduction of fire officers. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 480 fire officers working in Seoul and Gyeonggi - do, and correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 21.0. The results showed that there was a negative correlation between instability attachment and job stress in adult attachment, negative correlation between instability attachment and ego - resilience in adult attachment, and negative correlation between ego - resilience and job stress. Adult attachment and ego - The results showed that there was a statistically significant effect on stress. Ego - resilience was found to full mediate the effect of anxiety of adult attachment on job stress and to partial mediate the effect of avoidance on job stress. This study suggests the need to develop a program that can improve ego - resilience considering the importance of ego - resilience and the occupational characteristics of fire officer. This means that the psychological and psychological factors of the individual should also be considered in order to reduce the level of job stress of the fire service personnel.

Community Attachment of Residents and Its Related Variables (지역사회주민의 지역사회 친밀도와 관련 변인)

  • Community Attachment variables(specially, system model variables : gender, age, education, income, number of children, marital status, length of residence, and job) have been tested. The data for this study were collected from 295 residents of Yesan in Chungnam. The SPSSWIN package was utilized for data analysis. Frequency, percent, t-test, and ANOVA were utilized for statistical analysis. Each hypothesis was tested at .01, .05, and 01 level. The major findings of this study were: 1) the range of community attachment score was $17{\sim}56$. The mean score of community attachment was 29.8 with a standard deviation of 5.34. 2) t-test showed that job was statistically significant at .05 level among gender, marital status, and job. 3) length of residence, age, and numbers of children were statistically significant at .05, .10, and .01, respectively.

The Relation between Adolescent's Attachment on Parent and Self-Concept (청소년기 자녀의 부모에 대한 애착과 자아개념과의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between adolescent's attachment on parent and self-concept. The subjects were 271 students in the second grade of the junior high school in Busan. The Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment scale(IPPA) and the Self-Concept test were used for collecting data. For the statistical analysis of data, t-test, F-test, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation and Regression were used. The results were as follows : 1. There were significant differences in attachment according to socio-demographic variables(sex, parent's age, parent's education, parent's job, income). 2. There were significant differences in self-concept according to socio-demographic variables(sex, parent's age, parent's education, parent's job, income). 3. Adolescent's attachment on parent was significantly correlated with adolescent's self-concept.

  • This study aims to find the influential relation amongst Big 5 personality factors, job involvement and customer orientation of hotel employees and to provide methods to develop their personality factors suitable for a organization Firstly, detailed verification findings of regression analysis on Big 5 personality factors and job involvement were suggested as following; Job attachment of hotel employees influenced their extroversion and friendliness. Also, sincerity and stability had significant effects on job responsibility and task significance had significant. Secondly, regression analysis was performed to identify the results of job involvement and customer orientation and the detailed verification results are as following; Satisfaction of customers' needs had significant effect on job attachment and job responsibility. In addition, service for response to customers' contacts meaningfully influenced job responsibility and task significance.

Determining the Relationship among Organizational Commitment, Occupational Stress, and Interpersonal Relations according to Adult Attachment Styles of Clinical Dental Hygienists

  • Background: This study aimed to identify the types of adult attachment and determine the relationship between adult attachment and job factors in dental hygienists. Ultimately, it was necessary to identify the need for a secure attachment to improve the quality of clinical dental hygienist's services. Methods: Data of 454 clinical dental hygienists working in dental hospitals or clinics were collected. The research tools consisted of items related to the general and work characteristics of dental hygienists (9 items), adult attachment styles (36 items), organizational commitments (12 items), occupational stress (15 items), and interpersonal relations (18 items). Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of each tool was ${\geq}0.7$. Results: Most of the participants had fearful attachment styles, followed by dismissing-avoidance, security, and preoccupation. Security was the highest level of organizational commitment according to the adult attachment style, although the differences of the levels were insignificant. For occupational stress, preoccupation was the highest, followed by fearful, security, and dismissing-avoidance, and the differences were significant (p<0.001). For interpersonal relations, security was the highest, followed by preoccupation, dismissing-avoidance, and fearful in order, and the differences were significant (p<0.001). Conclusion: Job stress and interpersonal relation ability according to the adult attachment style of clinical dental hygienists had significant results. Thus, the development of attachment improvement programs by personal style, development of differentiated clinical education and its application, and improvements in the adult attachment styles of clinical dental hygienists would be required rather than simply presenting the needs to collectively improvement the working environment.

The Influence of Job-seeking Stress, Adult Attachment and Self-assertiveness, on Depression among Korean College Students (대학생의 취업스트레스, 성인애착, 자기표현성이 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine effects of job-seeking stress, adult attachment, self-assertiveness on depression among Korean college students. Data were collected through self reported structured questionnaire form 239 Korean college students by convenient sampling methods from April 20 to May 30, 2013. The mean score of depression 14.38(SD=9.81) and 27.6% of the subjects were depression risk groups. A hierarchical multiple regression showed that job-seeking stress (${\beta}$=0.31, p<.001) and adult attachment (${\beta}$=0.32, p<.001) were identified as significant predictors of depression of college students after adjusting for gender, grade, living arrangement, satisfaction for major. And these variables accounted for 34% of depression (F=12.20, p<.001). Therefore, therapeutic nursing intervention should be developed to reduce job-seeking stress and to control attachment-related anxiety, avoidance as a way to regulate depression for Korean college students.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate work value of employees working at hotel, and how these work value effect the job commitment by hypothesis with research on documents and pre-examinations. The results of the study were as follows. First, intrinsic work value had a effect on job attachment, job responsibility, job importance. Second, extrinsic work value had a effect on job attachment, job responsibility, job importance. This research can heighten action administration's effect of organization supports for objective of organization achievement through individual's attitude and comprehension about work value influencing on conduct and test, practical use. Also, this research will utilize directly to solve problem of organization employee having different work value organization through analysis about work value.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide necessity of job stress management to chief executives officers at small and medium size printing companies. At the same time, this study offers information of successful job stress management. When managing job stress is successfully accomplished, it increases job involvement of workers and brings high productivity eventually. Independent variables are decision-making right at the job, insecurity of job, and unreasonable reward at the company, while job involvement is dependent variable at this study. After analyzing data gathered, decision-making right influences job attachment and pursuing job outcome. And insecurity of job, that is the difficult job transferring, is significant to job accomplishment.

  • The objectives of this study were to review studies on the community attachment and to identify it's related variables. Community attachment variables were divided into linear development model variables and system model variables. The theoretical base for linear development model originated from Ferdinand Toennies(1957) and system model was from Kasarda and Janowitz(1974). Linear development model variables were population size and density. And system model variables were age, education, income, number of children, marital status, length of residence, sex, and job. Recent studies on the community attachment were being carried out through system model than linear development model.
