  • The electrical curtain is an electronic product which is most suitable for the sphere of intelligent home network. It provides the basic feature of intelligent home network such as the followings; various functions, powerful control. It also becomes the ideal technology with inexpensive power-line protocol, energy saving and solar power generation. Generally it is a suitable motor for BLDC to move the electrical curtain, because it provides the maintenance without difficulty, long-lived use with good efficiency. On this paper, we proposed the BLDC motor controller designed by CDM(Coefficient Diagram Method) and evaluated its performance with a simulation of the plant, designed the electrical curtain using BLDC motor and powe-line protocol.

  • A The estimation of electrical power consumption is becoming more important to supply stabilized electrical power recently. In this paper, we propose a supplied forecasting system of electrical power using Fuzzy Compensative Algorithm to estimate electrical load accurately than the previous. We evaluate a time series of supplied electrical power have the chaotic character using quantitative and qualitative analysis, compose a forecasting system by the maximum change $rate(\alpha)$ of Fuzzy Algorithm and compensative parameter. Simulating it for obtained time series, we can obtain more accurate results than the previous proposed system.

  • 현재 코골이를 방지하는 위한 기구로는 양압 산소호흡기, 스프레이, 전기자극기, 수술, 구강내 보조기구가 있으나 개인용으로 사용하기에는 가격이 너무 고가이어서 일반적인 코골이 환자에게 적용하기에는 무리가 있으며 사용자에 따라 부작용의 위험이 있다. 본 논문에서는 정확하고 안정적인 코골이 신호인식을 위해 시계열 분석방법을 통해서 선형적인 성질보다 비선형적인 성질이 강한 코골이 신호의 카오틱 신호 유무를 해석하였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 시계열 데이터는 30대 성인남자로부터 수면시간 6시간중중 발생하는 코골이 음성신호를 마이크를 통해 샘플링 주파수 22kHz, 모노 형태로 수집한 것이다. 위상공간의 궤적 분석, 매입차원에 의한 상관적분 분석, 파워 스펙트럼과 자기상관함수 분석 등의 정량 및 정성적 분석방법을 통해서 수집한 코골이 신호의 분석결과 신호가 부분적으로 주기적 성질을 가지는 카오스 신호임을 확인하였다.

Effect of Tomato Powder on Meat Patties as Nitrite Alternatives (미트패티에 아질산 대체제로서의 토마토분말 효과)

  • This study was carried out to determine the effects of tomato powder (TP) as nitrite (NT) on pork patties. The following treatments were made: 0.01% NT (Tl), 0.01% NT and 1.0% TP (T2), 0.5% TP (T3), 1.0% TP (T4), and 0.01% NT and 1.0% TP (T5) were in basal formula (C). The following observations were made: T5 displayed lower gumminess and adhesiveness values than those of C and T1 (p<0.05) on Day 1 of storage; the hardness and surface hardness of T3 and T4 were relatively lower and the surface hardness and gumminess of T3 were relatively higher than the others (p<0.05) on Day 21 of storage; Y4 had significantly lower TBARS values than the others during storage; VBN values of the tested groups were significantly lower than the control samples on Day 7 and 21 of storage; T3 and T4 samples displayed lower pH values (p<0.05) than the control samples on Day 21 of storage; T3, T4 and T5 revealed lower CIE $L^*$ and W than those of C and T1 during storage; T2 had the highest CIE $a^*$ (p<0.05); T4 had significantly higher CIE $b^*$ and chroma values than those of others; T3 and T4 had significantly lower total plate counts than the others; T1 had significantly lower yeast and mold and Staphylococcus sp. counts than the other groups'; and T1 and T2 displayed significantly higher color acceptability than the others.

The Effects of Pig Breeds on Proximate, Physicochemical, Cholesterol, Amino Acid, Fatty Acid and Sensory Properties of Loins (돼지 품종이 등심의 일반성분, 물리화학적, 콜레스테롤, 아미노산, 지방산 조성 및 관능적 품질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • A total of 100 pigs were used to investigate the effects of pig breed on proximate, physicochemical, cholesterol, amino acid, fatty acid and sensory properties of loins. Crossbred pigs were alloted into one of five experimental groups [×Duroc(LYD), ×Berkshire (YBB), British Berkshire(BB), Kagoshima Berkshire(KB), Korean native black pig×Wild boars(KW; Sus coraanus)]. Pigs were slaughtered at 110 kg live weight. Moisture content was significantly(p<0.05) higher in KW than those of other pig breeds. Crude protein content was significantly(p<0.05) higher in YBB and KW than in LYD, BB, and KB. Cholesterol content was significantly(p<0.05) higher in YBB than those of other pig breeds. WHC and pH value had lower and shear force had higher(p<0.05) in YBB than those of other pig breeds. In color, LYD was significantly(p<0.05) higher in L* than those of other pig breeds. There was no significant different in a* and brittleness value among the breeds. In fatty acid and amino acid composition, KW had a higher(p<0.05) UFA/SFA, EFA/UFA ratio and EAA content but lower (p<0.05) SAAA. Total amino acid content was significantly(p<0.05) higher in LYD(20.44%) and BB (20.81%) than those of other pig breeds. In fresh meat, breeds affected meat color, drip loss, marbling score, and overall acceptability(p<0.05). A Study of Variation Characteristics of the Phytoplankton Community by UPLC Located in the Jinju Bay, Korea (UPLC를 이용한 남해 진주만 식물플랑크톤 군집 변동특성 연구)

  • In order to provide important information for the efficient management of the identified farm ecosystem in Jinju Bay, we investigated the spatial and temporal distribution of the phytoplankton community using a UPLC pigment analysis and a CHEMTAX program from the timeframe of February 2013 to January 2014. In addition, we measured the available physical and chemical parameters controlling the distribution of the phytoplankton communities. As a result of this comprehensive pigment analysis, it was noted that the Diatoms were the predominant species with an average of 77.1% as noted located in Jinju Bay. It was discovered that during the summer season, the phytoplankton community composition was changed by a reduction of diatoms and noted increases of the Cryptophytes, Prasinophytes, and Dinoflagellates. Especially, it was noted that the Cryptophytes and Prasinophytes were shown with an average of 18.8% and 17.8% in June, respectively. However, it was revealed that the Cryptophytes and Prasinophytes were not shown by a microscopic observation. The phytoplankton community composition was correlated with the temperature and salinity variations as noticed in the Jinju Bay. Therefore, the water temperature and freshwater inputs in the Jinju Bay were important environmental factors for controlling the phytoplankton community composition and the varying Cryptophytes and the noted amounts of Prasinophytes as well.

Expression Analysis of Galectin-1 from Fat in Berkshire Pigs

  • Galectins are a group of animal lectins consisting of galectin-type carbohydrate recognition domains (CRD) with relatively minor domains. The biological properties of galectins include the regulation of inflammation, intercellular adhesion, cell differentiation and cell death. The diverse kinds of galectin suggest variety in their biological roles. Galectin-1 is released during adipocyte differentiation and is associated with fat which is one of the important factors for meat quality. To verify expression level, a 0.5 kb clone of galectin-1 was obtained from cDNA prepared from back fat tissue of a Sancheong Berkshire pig with good quality meat, and the galectin-1 gene identified. The deduced amino acid sequence of the galectin-1 gene was compared with those obtained from other species. By using RT-PCR and Real time-PCR, an attempt was made to determine the expression level of galectin-1 and to compare with various tissues (tenderloin and back fat) taken from pigs in different groups. Grouping of pigs was based on growth-stage (weighing 60, 80, and 110 kg) and the sub-speciation (Yorkshire and Sancheong Berkshire pigs). We attempted to determine influences of pig species, growth stages and tissue variations on the expression level of the galectin-l gene and it was revealed that the expression pattern of the galectin-1 gene was significantly different (p<0.01 or p<0.05). Galectin-1 genes were expressed more highly in the back fat tissues of pigs weighing 110 kg than in those weighing 60 kg or 80 kg. However, the lowest expression was seen in the tenderloin tissues of pigs weighing 110 kg. Sancheong Berkshire pigs showed higher expression of the galectin-1 gene compared to Yorkshire pigs. Accordingly, it is considered that the expression pattern of the galectin-1 gene influences the growth of back fat tissues and the pig speciation relationship. Previous studies suggested that different expression of galectin-1 genes represents variety among the breeds and is closely related to fat tissue growth, conjugation and catabolism. Further, this study suggests that the expression of galectin-1 at a specific growth stage and tissue contributes significantly to the overall meat quality of Sancheong Berkshire pigs.

Quality Characteristics of Low-Fat Sausage Containing Curcumin Extract during Cold Storage (울금 추출물 함유 저지방 소시지의 냉장저장 중 품질 특성)

  • The effects of curcumin extract on the physicochemical, microbial and sensory properties of low-fat sausages during refrigerated storage were studied. Sausage products were produced with three different formulations including 0%, 2.5%, and 5.0% curcumin extract. Low-fat sausages made with the addition of curcumin extract had lower (p<0.05) crude fat content, pH and TBARS values than the control sample. The addition of curcumin extract did not affect the water holding capacity, cooking loss, shear force, meat color, texture profile, and total bacterial count in low-fat sausages duringstorage (p>0.05). With regard to sensory evaluation, 2.5% curcumin extract added to low-fat sausages resulted in a high overall acceptability (p<0.05). In conclusion, low-fat sausages with added 2.5% curcumin extract had a higher acceptability and lipid oxidative stability during storage than products without curcumin extract.

Effect of Washing Times on Quality Characteristics of Chicken Surimi (수세 횟수가 계육 수리미의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of washing times on quality characteristics of chicken breast surimi. The surimi was prepare after 2 (C), 4 (T1) and 6 (T2) times washed with a ratio 6 : 1 distilled water-chicken breast meat. The moisture and crude protein content of T1 and T2 were higher than that of C. The myofibrillay protein and yield of C was higher (p<0.05) than those of T1 and T2. The pH of C was higher (p<0.05) compare to other treatments. The WHC was no significant differences between the all treatments. The shear force of all treatments were tended to higher as washing times increased. The breaking force and deformation value of T2 were lower than other treatments. The $L^{*}$ values in C and $b^{\ast}$ values in T1 were significantly (p<0.05) lower among the treatments group. The hardness and gumminess of T1 was higher (p<0.05) compared to T2. The springiness of treatments increased as washing times increased. The sensory score of surimi made from chicken breast meat was not affected by the washing times.

Seasonal variation in species composition of catch by a coastal beam trawl in Jinhae Bay and Jinju Bay, Korea (진해만과 진주만에서 새우조망으로 어획된 수산자원의 계절변동)

  • The species composition and seasonal variation of fisheries resources in Jinhae bay and Jinju bay, were studied using shrimp beam trawl through a year of 2010. During the study period, a total of 117 species were collected in Jinhae bay. Species included were 63 species in Pisces and 24 in Crustacea. And a total of 106 species were collected in Jinju bay. Species included were 57 species in Pisces and 31 in Crustacea. The dominant species were Zoarces gilli, Crangon hakodatei and Oratosquilla oratoria in Jinhae bay, and Crangon hakodatei, Leiognathus nuchalis and Charybdis bimaculata in Jinju bay. The samples were mainly grouped according to the location and season on the SOM. Group 1 with sample sites in Jinju bay, was characterized by high values of Parapenaeopsis tenella, Leiognathus nuchalis and Hexagrammos otakii. Group 2 with sample sites in April, were dominant Crangon hakodatei and Luidia quinaria. The samples in Group 3 were high values of Charybdis bimaculata and Pleuronichthys cornutus. Group 4 with sample sites in Jinhae bay, was characterized by high densities of Zoarces gilli and Pholis fangi. The dominant species, Crangon hakodatei, were catched egg-bearing females until June. Zoarces gilli and Leiognathus nuchalis were presented small size individuals during study period. It represented that study area is an important role in spawning and nursery ground for fisheries resources.
