Aerospace Launch Vehicles (ALV) are generally designed with high reliability to operate in complete security through fault avoidance practices. However, in spite of such precaution, fault occurring is inevitable. Hence, there is a requirement for on-board fault recovery without significant degradation in the ALV performance. The present study develops an advanced fault recovery strategy to improve the reliability of an Aerospace Launch Vehicle (ALV) navigation system. The proposed strategy contains fault detection features and can reconfigure the system against common faults in the ALV navigation system. For this purpose, fault recovery system is constructed to detect and reconfigure normal navigation faults based on the sliding mode observer (SMO) theory. In the face of pitch channel sensor failure, the original gyro faults are reconstructed using SMO theory and by correcting the faulty measurement, the pitch-rate gyroscope output is constructed to provide fault tolerant navigation solution. The novel aspect of the paper is employing SMO as an online tuning of analytical fault recovery solution against unforeseen variations due to its hardware/software property. In this regard, a nonlinear model of the ALV is simulated using specific navigation failures and the results verified the feasibility of the proposed system. Simulation results and sensitivity analysis show that the proposed techniques can produce more effective estimation results than those of the previous techniques, against sensor failures.
The suspense will be realized as various techniques influenced the perception of audience organically each other. These varied techniques induce isolation as well as a restricted space as formal system. Moreover, it could intensify emotional experience of audience that they will not escape in addition to the depth.. This study chose a movie (2010) and <127 hours> (2010) which used the limited space as the material as the analysis target to examine. It is the goal of this study to analyze the conversion of careful viewpoint and the flashback, and to raise the meaning of the suspense expression through this. The researcher would consider how the suspense is expressed based on the conversion of viewpoint and how the flashback delivers the psychology and emotion.
In this part the writing group will cover strategies, techniques, and endpoints of atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. Prior to all, electrical isolation of the pulmonary veins is recommended during all AF ablation procedures. In addition, techniques to be used for ablation of persistent and long-standing persistent AF, adjunctive ablation strategies, nonablative strategies to improve outcomes of AF ablation, and endpoints for ablation of paroxysmal, persistent, and long-standing persistent AF will be reviewed. Currently many technologies and tools are employed for AF ablation procedures. Radiofrequency energy, cryoablation, and other energy sources and tools are in various stages of development and/or clinical investigation. Finally, anticoagulation strategies pre-, during, and postcatheter ablation of AF and technical aspects of ablation to maximize safety are discussed in this section.

This study explores development of prediction model for seismic site classification through the integration of machine learning techniques with horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) methodologies. To improve model accuracy, the research employs outlier detection methods and, synthetic minority over-sampling technique (SMOTE) for data balance, and evaluates using seven machine learning models using seismic data from KiK-net. Notably, light gradient boosting method (LGBM), gradient boosting, and decision tree models exhibit improved performance when coupled with SMOTE, while Multiple linear regression (MLR) and Support vector machine (SVM) models show reduced efficacy. Outlier detection techniques significantly enhance accuracy, particularly for LGBM, gradient boosting, and voting boosting. The ensemble of LGBM with the isolation forest and SMOTE achieves the highest accuracy of 0.91, with LGBM and local outlier factor yielding the highest F1-score of 0.79. Consistently outperforming other models, LGBM proves most efficient for seismic site classification when supported by appropriate preprocessing procedures. These findings show the significance of outlier detection and data balancing for precise seismic soil classification prediction, offering insights and highlighting the potential of machine learning in optimizing site classification accuracy.
A lot of piping systems have been used from nuclear power systems to water supply systems. The maintenance of the piping systems is needed to ensure proper operation of the piping systems. Failure of the large pipe systems especially such as KDHC(Korea District Heating Corporation) can be a matter directly related to the enterprise productivity and profitability. It can also lead to very important issues in promoting public safety and convenience. Therefore a method of quick and safety repairs have been emerged as the most important problem. In this study, freezing seal isolation method using liquid nitrogen cryogenic refrigerant was developed for the maintenance of a pre insulated heat transport pipe of KDHC with a diameter of 300 mm. In this study, by employing computational analysis techniques we performed the flow and heat transfer analysis for the targeted pre insulated heat transfer pipe and freezing seal jacket(ice-Plug) and have selected for optimal system. The detailed design model based on the results of the computational analysis finally was produced. A laboratory-scale test apparatus were designed and the freezing seal isolation self-test carried out. Also the performance assessment tests in the test bed of KDHC were carried out for on-site application.
Recently, the effect of using social media on psychological well-being has been highlighted. However, studies exploring factors that may predict the quality of social media relationships are relatively rare. The present study investigated whether social media activity and psychological states, such as loneliness and depression, can predict the quality of social media relationships during the COVID-19 quarantine period using a machine learning technique. Ninety-five participants completed a self-report survey on loneliness, Instagram activity, quality of social media relationships, and depression at different time points (during the self-isolation and after the release of self-isolation). Similarity analyses, including multidimensional scaling (MDS), representational similarity analysis (RSA), and classification analyses, were conducted separately at each point in time. The results of MDS revealed that time spent on social media and depression were distinguished from others in the first dimension, and loneliness and passive use were distinguished from others in the second dimension. We divided the data into two groups based on the quality of social media relationships (high and low), and we conducted RSA on each group. Findings indicated an interaction between the quality of the social media relationships and the situation. Specifically, the effect of self-isolation on the high-quality social media relationship group is more pronounced than that on the low-quality group. The classification results also revealed that the predictors of social media relationships depend on whether or not they are isolated. Overall, the results of this study imply that social media relationship could be well predicted when people are not in isolated situations.

Recently mycorrhizal research has been one of the most fast-growing research areas in modern plant science and microbiology. The application potential of mycorrhizal techniques to agriculture and forestry is enormous in view of the ubiquitous nature of mycorrhizae and known benefits of mycorrhizae to host plants. Unfortunately, very few scientists in Korea are currently involved in mycorrhizal research. When a team of American plant pathologists visited Korea in September 1982 to participate in the Korea-U.S.A. Joint Seminar on Forest Diseases and Insect Pests, they were surprised by the principal author's statement that there was no single research project on mycorrhizae sponsored by Korean government or any scientific institutions. The author initiated a few years ago a research project on the ecology of tree mycorrhizae with a foreign financial support. Major areas of interest were survey of ectomycorrhizae in relation to soil fertility, taxonomic distribution of mycorrhizae among woody plants, identification of ectomycorrhizal fungi, and growth response of woody plants to artificial inoculation. In spite of the enormous application potential of mycorrhizae to agronomic plants, the subject of mycorrhizae has not been recognized by Korean agronomists, foresters or pathologists. The purpose of this review rather written in Korean is to introduce the techniques of mycorrhizal research to Korean scientists and to urge them to participate in challenging new scientific field which might bring us a remarkable increase in crop productivity and tree growth through manipulation of this unique symbiosis. In this review, following topics were discussed in the same order: introduction; brief history of mycorrhizal research; morphology and classification of mycorrhizae; distribution of mycorrhizae in plant kingdom and in soil profile; physiology of mycorrhizae (functions, mineral nutrition, mycorrhizal formation); interaction of mycorrhizae with soil-born plant pathogens. mycorrhizae in nitrogen-fixing plants; application of mycorrhizal techniques to nursery practices (isolation, culture, inoculation, and response); prospect in the future.
The techniques for manipulation of various micro-tools were essential for particle isolation and chemical analysis of micro-size particles. This report described the detailed techniques for the preparation and handling of several micro-tools. Presence of uranium particles in smeared filter paper were identified by using the solid track detector. The uranium particles were isolated using the micro-tools under the stereomicroscope and then transferred to the filament of TIMS for the determination of isotope ratios.

Chemical investigation of the crude extract of the Egyptian marine tunicate Eudistoma laysani led to the isolation of a new nucleoside; 3-deazainosine and four known ones; inosine, 2'-deoxyuridine, adenosine and 2'-deoxyadenosine. Structural elucidation of the isolated compounds was based on intensive studies of their spectral data including 1D ($^{1}H$ and $^{13}C$) and 2D ($^{1}H-^{1}H$ COSY, HMQC, HMBC) NMR together with mass spectra. The antioxidant effects of the isolated compounds were determined using DPPH, where they exhibited significant activities.

Called VISTA (Variable-stability In-flight Simulator Test Aircraft), the one-of-a-kind NF-l6D has a simulation system that can mimic several aircraft. Though housed in an F-l6 Fighting Falcon airframe, VISTA can also act like the F-15 Eagle or the Navy's F-14 Tomcat. More importantly, such flexibility allows for improved training and consolidation of some sorties. Consequently USAF Test Pilot School students will have an opportunity to learn how to test future integrated cockpits. In this paper we will use the multiple model adaptive estimation (MMAE) and the multiple model adaptive controller (MMAC) techniques to model the aircraft's flight control system containing the longitudinal and lateral-directional axes. Single and dual actuator and sensor failures will also be included in the simulation. White Gaussian noise will be included to simulate the effects of atmospheric disturbances.
