온실기초의 구조물-지반 상호작용 해석을 위한 유한요소 모델링 (Finite element modeling for structure-soil interaction analysis of plastic greenhouse foundation)

  • In this study, structural behavior of plastic greenhouse foundation was investigated using rational finite element modeling for structures which have different material properties each other. Because the concrete foundation of plastic greenhouse and soil which surround and support the concrete foundation have very different material property, the boundary between two structures were modeled by a interface element. The interface element was able to represent sliding, separation, uplift and re-bonding of the boundary between concrete foundation and soil. The results of static and dynamic analysis showed that horizontal and vertical displacement of concrete foundation displayed a decreasing tendency with increasing depth of foundation. The second frequency from modal analysis of structure including foundation and soil was estimate to closely related with wind load.

  • The objective of this study is to develop finite element analysis technique to predict the strength reduction of deteriorated reinforced concrete beams and their strengthening capacity. In order to consider the effect of rebar corrosion, a tension stiffening model is proposed and area reduction of rebars due to corrosion is considered. For the analysis of strengthened deteriorated RC beams, one dimensional truss element and an interface element are introduced for models of the strengthening composite and the interface between concrete and composite to simulate delamination or discontinuous behavior at the interface. Then, analyses for deteriorated RC beams strengthened with glass fiber reinforced epoxy panel (GFREP) are carried out to predict both flexural failure and plate-end delamination failure. Finally, analysis results are verified with experimental results.

Studies on two bay and three storey infilled frame with different interface materials: Experimental and finite element studies

  • The non-linear behaviour of integral infilled frames (in which the infill and the frame are bonded together with help of various interface materials) is studied both experimentally and numerically. The experiments were carried out on one-sixth scale two-bay and three-storey reinforced concrete frames with and without infill against static cyclic loading. Three interface materials - cement mortar, cork and foam have been used in between the infill and the frame. The infill, interface and the frame are bonded together is called integral frame. The linear and non-linear behaviors of two dimensional bare frame and integral infilled frame have been studied numerically using the commercial finite element software SAP 2000. Linear finite element analysis has been carried out to quantify the effect of various interface materials on the infilled frames with various combinations of 21 cases and the results compared. The modified configuration that used all three interface materials offered better resistance above others. Therefore, the experiments were limited to this modified infilled frame case configuration, in addition to conventional (A1-integral infilled frame with cement mortar as interface) and bare frame (A0-No infill). The results have been compared with the numerical results done initially. It is found that stiffness of bare frame increased by infilling and the strength of modified frame increased by 20% compare to bare frame. The ductility ratio of modified infilled frame was 42% more than that of the conventional infilled frame. In general, the numerical result was found to be in good agreement with experimental results for initial crack load, ultimate load and deformed pattern of infill.

경계요소법을 이용한 계면균열의 응력특이성에 관한 고찰 (Study on the Stress Singularity of Interface Crack by using Boundary Element Method)

  • The boundary element method was used for studying singularities of an interface crack with contact zones. The iterative procedure is applied to estimate the contact zone size. Because the contact zone size was extremely small in a tension field, a large number of Gaussian points were used for numerical integration of the Kernels. Stress extrapolation method and J-integral were used ofr determining stress intensity factors. When the interface crack was assumed to have opened tips, oscillatory singularities appear near the tips of the interface crack. But the interface crack with contact zone which Comninou suggested had no oscillatory behavior. The contact zone size under shear loading was much larger than that under tensile. The stress intensity factors computed by stress extrapolation method were close to those of Comninou's solution. And the stress intensity factor evaluated by J-integral was similar to that by stress extrapolation method.

  • This paper deals with the stress singularity induced at the interface corner between the viscoelastic thin film and the rigid substrate as the film absorbs moisture from the ambient environment. The rime-domain boundary element method is employed to investigate the behavior of interface stresses. The order of the free-edge singularity is obtained numerically for a given viscoelastic model. It is shown that the free-edge stress intensity factor is relaxed with time,'while the order of the singularity increases with time for the viscoelastic model considered.

  • 본 논문에서는 CORBA(Common Object Request Architecture)기반의 TINA(Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture) 분산체계에서 통신망 하부 장비들이 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) 혹은 TMN(Telecommunications Management Network) 체계로 혼재되어 관리되는 네트워크의 NE(Network Element)들을 효율적으로 통합 관리할 수 있는 Generic Interface Adaptor(GIA)를 제안하고 이를 설계 및 구현하였다. GIA는 message mapping, protocol conversion 및 DBMS를 이용한 Object Abstract Translation(OAT)을 통해서 각 관리체계에 맞도록 관리정보를 변환시키며, 이를 통해 TINA EML(Element Management Layer) component와 SNMP NE agent 간의 상호연동을 가능하게 한다.

  • The stress intensity factor for an interface crack in dissimilar elastic and viscoelastic materials is derived and the time-domain boundary element analysis is performed. Numerical results show that the proposed method is very useful for the analysis of the interface crack in elastic and viscoelastic bimaterials.

  • The residual thermal stresses at the interface corner between the elastic substrate and the viscoelastic thin film due to cooling from cure temperature down to room temperature have been studied. The polymeric thin film was assumed to be thermorheologically simple. The boundary element method was employed to investigate the nature of stresses on the whole interface. Numerical results show that very large stress gradients are present at the interface comer and such stress singularity might lead to edge cracks or delamination.

  • 보강토구조물은 흙과 보강재 사이에 큰 변형이 발생하며 보강토구조물의 파괴양상도 보강재의 미끄러짐이나 변형에 의해 지배되며, 때때로 보강재의 재료의 파괴보다는 미끄러짐에 의해 보강토구조물이 파괴되므로 큰변형이 발생하는 흙-보강재의 모델링이 필요하다. 고형 및 액체폐기물 매립장에 쓰이는 라인너 시스템은 매립장의 경사와 쓰레기하중에 의해 큰 변형이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 큰 변형의 문제는 기존의 접촉요소로써 모델링하는데 많은 제약 이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 흙과 토목섬유보강사이의 큰 만행을 모델링할 수 있는 접촉은소를 제안하였으며, 그 이론과 그 모델의 적용성에 대하여 논하였다.

  • When a crack meets bimaterial interface stress singularity depends on the elastic constants of the adjacent materials. In the present study we are going to describe the finite element formulation for problems with a crack to be embedded in the stiffer material$({\mu}_2/{\mu}_1)$. The cubic isoparametric singular element, represented by adequately shifting the mid-side nodes adjacent to the crack tip is constructed to enclose the crack tip. An alternative method to obtain the optimal position of the mid-side nodes of cubic isoparametric elements is presented. In addition, a proper definition for the stress intensity factors of a crack normal to bimaterial interface is provided. It is based upon near a tip displacement solutions. Models for numerical analysis are two dimensional elastic bodies with a through crack under plain strain. The results obtained are compared with the previous solutions.
