Interface Characteristics of Epoxy Composite Treated with Silane Coupling Agent (실란 결합제 처리된 에폭시 수지 복합재료의 계면 특성)

  • The effects of coupling agent on the interface characteristics between epoxy resin and natural zeolite were studied by SEM, optical microscope and universal testing machine (UTM). Epoxy resin as a matrix was diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA)/4,4'-methylene dianiline (MDA)/malononitrile (MN) system and natural zeolite as an inorganic fillet was produced in Korea. With the increment of zeolite content, tensile strength decreased and it was due to the different elastic moduli of two materials. When external stress was loaded on the composites, the stress concentrated on the weakly bonded interface and crack grew easily. To improve the interface characteristics, the surface of the natural zeolite was treated with the silane coupling agent and it was found that the tensile strength was increased. The morphology of the interface showed that the bonding characteristics were modified by coupling agent.

  • Viewpoint about the quality of software is various. But, from the end-user point of view, user interface of software may be all to express the quality of software. But the detailed evaluation criteria were not established about usability evaluation method based on user interface so far, though user interface of software is the main object of usability quality characteristics. In this paper, we established a system about the method extracting and evaluating some quality characteristics elements measurable form user interface of software by analyzing the relationship between the elements constructing quality characteristics and user interface related to quality evaluation of software. We expect that this result of study will be a fundamental study adapting and evaluating to various types of user interface.

  • In mobile phone, complex user interface tend to cause the degradation of product usability. This problem is mainly due to the small hardware user interface of mobile phone. That is, because many functions must be operated in small hardware interface, the principle of one-to-one mapping between a function and a control is disregarded in design, often. In order to resolve this problem, users' characteristics must be considered in the user interface design of mobile phone. So, users' basic characteristics that must be considered in the user interface design of mobile phone were studied through two experiments, questionnaire survey and user testing.

  • In this paper, We intended to evaluate the characteristics of XLPE/EPDM interface which exists in the cable joint. The fault was mainly occurred in this interface. Thus we looked into the electrical characteristics through the conduction current and the breakdown test. Through from the experiment, we obtained the result that the conduction current in this interface flowed less than other dielectric materials, that the breakdown strength was higher and that the pressure dependance ㅐf the breakdown strength was higher.

Experimental study on damage and debonding of the frozen soil-concrete interface under freeze-thaw cycles

  • Freeze-thaw cycles induce strength loss at the frozen soil-concrete interface and deterioration of bonding, which causes construction engineering problems. To clarify the deterioration characteristics of the interface under the freeze-thaw cycle, a frozen soil-concrete sample was used as the research object, an interface scanning electron microscope test under the freeze-thaw cycle was carried out to identify the micro index information, and an interface shear test was carried out to explore the loss law of interface shear strength under the freeze-thaw cycle. The results showed that the integrity of the interface was destroyed, and the pore number and pore size of the interface increased significantly with the number of freeze-thaw cycles. The connection form gradually deteriorates from surface-to-surface contact to point-to-surface contact and point-to-point contact, and the interfacial shear strength decreases the most at 0-3 freeze-thaw cycles, with small decreases from to 3-8 cycles. After 12 freeze-thaw cycles, the interfacial shear strength tends to be stable, and shear the failure occurs internally in the soil.

  • Digital media changed not only our lifestyle and sense of value but also art and space design, and development of technology will accelerate the alteration. It provided limitless possibility and inspiration to art, architecture and design. In this 'image' era, media communicate with us mostly in visual method, which gets to he realized by visual interface. The purpose of this study is to analyze the tendency of visual interface of contemporary interior design cases in the standpoint of digital media characteristics and suggest directions for future space design. The characteristics of digital media and interface are defined, and how the concept unfolded in art, design is also discussed. In interior design, the concepts come out as various types of visual interface, showing the characteristics of composition of material and immaterial, interaction between visual information and space users and among users, realization of cyberspace and simultaneous coexistence of multiple space-time multi-layer.

  • The concept of surface has become more relative and more relationship-oriented based upon interaction between spaces as the traditional realm of perception succumbed to that of a more flexible, open perspective. If surface characteristics are consideredas an interface, an interface with individual characteristics will form part of the whole and will become an element in the whole (the environment), manifesting itself as a medium incorporated in an architectural space. This authorintends to understand interface not as a mere intermediary space but as an intervening border that allows exchanges between different environments and as a medium that allows expressions of aesthetic order through organic order. Also, it is the Intention of this author to grasp extended meanings of interface.

  • This paper evaluated dielectic characteristics on EPR, Polyester and insulation of these different interface. Dielectric characteristics of insulation rubber, Polyester increace greatly according as temperature increases have no effect on applied voltage and pressure. On the condition that interface exists, we confirmed that dielectric characteristics had been influence on semiconductor which had high $tan{\delta}$.

  • Hydrophobic hairs of some insects make bubbles underwater. These bubbles makes possible for insects to breathe underwater. In this thesis, influence of geometric characteristics on air-liquid interface with pressure is investigated. Air-liquid interface shape with hair diameter over distance between hairs is analyzed This results expects to be used in the developments of artificial gill technology.
