The study was designed to explore mothers' and teachers' beliefs on children's literacy development by comparing their beliefs with the whole language approach. Also, their literacy practices at home and in the classroom were compared and how their literacy beliefs and practices were related was investigated. 176 mothers and 72 daycare teachers participated in this study in Kyunggi-do. Mean, standard deviation, frequency, t-test, and multiple regression were employed to analyze the data. The results showed that the mothers' age, mothers' education, fathers' education and family income mostly predict the mothers' literacy beliefs. Also the teachers' age, education, and their learning experiences with the whole language approach are the main predicting variables in the teachers' beliefs. In practices, the mothers' age, number of children, and fathers' education are independent variables predicting the mothers' practices. The teachers' age, education, interest about the whole language approach, learning experience, and number of children in the classroom are independent variables into the teachers' practices. Overall, teachers showed a higher level of beliefs on the whole language approach and did more literacy practices than the mothers.

Transport is animportant sector of government regulation. Every country has its own transport policy, but European countries are evolving a common transport policy, which has a long history. The establishment of a consistent common policy in the EU's transport sector is still underway. The key motivations of this policy are 1) to establish and implement a common transport policy, 2) to clarify the concept of sustainability in the transport sector, and 3) to integrate transport services into a common infrastructure. One of the policy's objectives is the progressive movement towards sustainable development in the transport section. The EU'stransport policy has recognised that intermodality is a very important competitive tool. The EU's policy thrustin intermodal transport can be catergorised into infrastructure, technology, and standards and rules. However, obstacles to success can be detected. Cases like that of TEN-T and Marco Polo illustrate European intermodal policies in practice. As regards sustainability in the transport sector, intermodality can be an alternative solution to the increasing imbalance between transport modes and congestion arising from increased road use. Sustainability has been emphasised by the EU, which aims to establish intermodality in its future alternative transport systems while fostering sustainable development in the transport sector. Therefore, intermodality can be defined as a general trend in the current transport market, drawing interest from public institutions and transport-related market players. The EU has thus made an effort to facilitate intermodality in its territory, materialised through various policy options. Therefore, looking into the EU's intermodal transport policies is worthwhile, as doing so can provide useful lessons for all concerned parties.

Paying close attention to those new to an organization, whether fresh or experienced, whose primary interest is in (re)socialization, the current study intends to (1) further the concept of mentoring from a bilateral relationship to a community and culture fostered by developmental networks, (2) propose an integrated conceptual framework for organizational socialization, and (3) suggest implications for practice and future research. This study reviews, analyzes, and integrates research assets and subsequently re-conceptualizes the aggregate information as valid propositions and a conceptual framework. The findings include (1) 11 propositions regarding the relationships among network characteristics (embeddedness, diversity), developmental functions (career support, psychosocial support, and role modeling), and socialization outcomes (learning and attitudinal outcomes); and (2) an integrated conceptual framework that depicts a comprehensive mechanism through which developmental networks conduce to organizational socialization of newcomers. Implications are that developmental networking must be an individual's fundamental competency and an essential part of organizational onboarding processes, and imperative for both members' career development and innovative organizational culture. By integrating research assets on the developmental phenomenon into conceptualizations, this study furthers the concept of mentoring to organizational culture and stimulates a substantive discourse for theory-building towards organizational socialization from the developmental network perspective.

Because of today's rapid growth of digital contents market and many benefits of electronic book, many people have considerable interest in E-book. Furthermore multifarious consortiums take an active part in standardization of I-book, and many E-book tools have been provided by software manufactures all over the world. E-book tools include editor for production of E-Book, viewer for reading, and the like. Especially in E-book viewer, annotation function has to be Included to put arrangement, summation, recording, comment, emphasis and after comprehension to practical use. In this paper, a E-book viewer with annotation is designed according to the specifications of EBKS, Korean standard. The proposed viewer is aimed to implement in PDA with embedded Linux, but developed in Windows 2000 platform. Because development environment and application environment are different each other, Qt-Library and cross-compiler are used for cross-platform development. The viewer support various functions such as adjusting of font size, hypertext linking, retrieval of specific word, and so forth. And in addition to these basic functions, annotation function is designed for the viewer, which can be used for re-usage and sharing of important information.

As the population of consumers of outdoor wear expands, there is increasing interest among consumers in trendy lifestyle outdoor. Accordingly, it is essential to develop designs that are drawn from outdoor wear. This can be limited to traditional mountaineering suits, and designs developed from men's outdoor zip-up T-shirts, which are highly utilized in everyday life, are very important. This study developed the design of a summer zip-up T-shirt for men with both functional and aesthetic qualities. Visual images of foreign brands and domestic outdoor-focused T-shirts from the spring/summer seasons of 2013-2019 were collected to analyze the following modeling elements: silhouettes, details, colors, materials, and prints. In addition, the design concept was derived by analyzing presentations from the global outdoor trade Fairs (2013-2019). To develop a sustainable eco-friendly outdoor summer T-shirt for men, the concept was derived according to three categories: eco-friendly, sportism-expressed active elements of sports, and an outro-concept of urban town wear as an outdoor lifestyle. Thus, a total of 12 styles of design were developed. High utilization of the outdoor wear T-shirts (which are also popular as lifestyle wear), is an important aspect of building a segmented lineup of the slow-growing outdoor wear market and supports expansion of the scope of theoretical research on outdoor wear design.

The purpose of this study was to examine the motives of tourists who visited ecotourism villages in Korea. A self-administered survey was obtained from 254 visitors in six ecotourism villages. As for the motivations of ecotourism village visitors, four factors ('relaxation', 'adventure', 'experience natural' and 'family togetherness') were extracted. Three distinct segments were identified based on the motivation : multipurpose seekers (45.3%), relaxation seekers (34.6%), family togetherness seekers (20.1%). Socio-demographic characteristics and tourism behaviors of each segmentation were also analyzed. The findings should be of interest to practitioners of ecotourism village marketing and operation.

Purpose: This study was conducted in commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing [KACHN]. Methods: Primary and secondary sources were collected and analyzed to show changes that KACHN has experienced. Results: In the 1970s it made the annual meeting regular and began research presentation. In the1980s regular symposiums were activated and as a result the academy could publish its own journal from 1989. In the 1990s the boards were selected from locals by turns and lots of papers and teaching materials were produced from collaborate researches of the members. In the 2000s, the journal was selected by the National Research Foundation in Korea and the academy began regular Korea-Japan Community Health Nursing Conference and hosted the 5th ICCHNR. Conclusion: In spite of great development, KACHN has new challenges. The number of members has increased so much that there are a few academies specialized in some fields of community health nursing. They have made the members' interest and loyalty weaker than during the pioneer days. KACHN should take the new role as a leader of international community health nursing research as well as the old role as a leader of Korean community health nursing research.

With the rising reliance on market estimation through customer analysis in customer-centered marketing, there is a rapid increase in the amount of personal data owned by corporations. There has been a corresponding rise in the customers' interest in personal information protection, and the problem of personal information leakage has risen as a serious issue. The purpose of this research is to develop a diagnosis model for personal information protection that is suited to our country's corporate environment, and on this basis, to present diagnostic instruments that can be applied to domestic corporations. This diagnosis model is a structural equation model that schematizes the degree of synthetic effect that administration factors and estimation items have on the protection of personal information owned by corporations. We develop the model- consisting of the administration factors for personal information protection and the measurement items of each factor- using the development method of standardized structural equation model. We then present a tool through which the administration factors and estimation items verified through this model can be used in the diagnosis for personal information protection in corporations. This diagnostic tool can be utilized as a useful instrument to prevent in advance the leakage of personal information in corporations.

This paper investigates the empirical relationship between investment and uncertainty using the firm level data of Korean manufacturing sector. Empirical results show that uncertainty is negatively correlated with investment only for the post-crisis sample period. In particular, the negative effect of uncertainty on investment is more significant for low interest coverage ratio firms, high debt-asset ratio firms and small firms. The results are consistent with the claim that firms act in a more risk-averse manner after the financial crisis. This paper also finds a significant sensitivity of investment to cash flows only for the pre-crisis sample period, suggesting that financial constraint is not relatively important in explaining low investment after the financial crisis.
