We suggest a graphical representation of the tension flow in tonal music using a piecewise parametric curve, which is a function of time illustrating the changing degree of tension in a corresponding chord progression. The tension curve can be edited by using conventional curve editing techniques to reharmonize the original music with reflecting the user's demand to control the tension of music. We introduce three different methods to measure the tension of a chord in terms of a specific key, which can be used to represent the tension of the chord numerically. Then, by interpolating the series of numerical tension values, a tension curve is constructed. In this paper, we show the tension curve editing method can be effectively used in several interesting applications: enhancing or weakening the overall feeling of tension in a whole song, the local control of tension in a specific region of music, the progressive transition of tension flow from source to target chord progressions, and natural connection of two songs with maintaining the smoothness of the tension flow. Our work shows the possibility of controlling the perceptual factor (tension) in music by using numerical methods. Most of the computations used in this paper are not expensive so they can be calculated in real time. We think that an interesting application of our method is an interactive modification of tension in background music according to the user's emotion or current scenario in the interactive environments such as games.
This study was performed to investigate non-invasive behavioral pain assessment of dogs after surgery, and the analgesic effects of butorphanol after intestinal anastomosis in dogs. In this study, five dogs in the Control Group were anesthetized, but did not undergo surgery. Five dogs in the Analgesic Group were undergone intestinal anastomosis and treated with butorphanol. Five dogs in the Non-analgesic Group were also undergone intestinal anastomosis without analgesic treatment. The dogs in the Analgesic Group received butorphanol (0.4 mg/kg, IM) before and immediately after operation, while dogs in Control and Non-analgesic Groups received isovolumetric doses of sterile saline. The behavior of dogs were videotaped for 400 mins after anesthesia, during which time a researcher interacted with the dog once per each 80 mins. At each interaction, the researcher recorded behavioral pain score, using University of Melbourne Pain Scale. Interactive and non-interactive behaviors were observed and quantitated by a single observer using focal continuous sampling method. Vocalizations were obtained during 400 mins after anesthesia, and duration of call, intensity, pitch, 1-4 Formant were analyzed. Surgery affected an increasing of pain score. During interactions with researcher, greeting behaviors were decreased after surgery. Differences between Analgesic group given analgesic or that given a placebo drug were readily understood using quantitative behavioral measurements and vocalization. Significant difference between Analgesic group given butorphanol or that the given placebo drug was apparent(p< 0.05).
Since 2003, state transportation study core technology development is being promoted as part of the bimodal trams operating in accordance with the development of refractive vehicle as research infrastructure for building high-tech road transport system has been the research and development. Bimodal trams of refraction as the vehicle for him to introduce domestic first ever operation management system also developed in Korea according to case-based technology system, but most of the country, and, in this study, mainly those based on technology integration building management system and the bimodal trams of refraction of a vehicle operated was to highlight the features and benefits. Bimodal tram station itself is the way the exclusive properties and to operate the route with large transport capacity has the characteristics of the railway, but the only routes such as railroad lines is not of closed roads under certain circumstances, the flexibility to use has to be integrated operations management system of bimodal trams characteristics of the railroads and public transportation by combining the characteristics of a flexible, convenient and secure services to users with the aim of providing research and will denote the system developed. In this study, bimodal integration system required for the operation of the tram station around the wired and wireless network management center, applying the organic integration into one system so that you have to be centrally managed. In addition, the existing traffic management system operates as a unidirectional rather than monitoring all system-wide management via the interactive network through real-time requests and responses were configured to allow management and control. These findings of the existing traffic operation management system that you can jump step can be based on future unmanned vehicles and related systems through control of the operation management system will be offered as a basis.
Broadcast is a efficient interactive method between a server and mobile clients via wireless channel and broadcast environments are incarnating as various applications. Most studies have been proposed in broadcast environments deal with read-only mobile transactions, many applications are emerging recently that need to manage the update transactions at mobile clients. So we propose a concurrency control for mobile transactions consisted mainly of update operations in broadcast environments. As an optimistic approach is applied for scheduling update transactions, repetitive aborts of update transactions are occur due to conflict between transactions. To solve this problem update transactions must have been executed with distributed manner, but unnecessary aborts are occur as well because of continuous restart. Thus, in this paper we propose a method that transactions are executed distributed manner and can avoid unnecessary aborts of update transactions. Proposed method has no unnecessary uplink and can save resources of mobile client.
A critical element in tissue engineering approaches is a control of the mechanical properties of polymer scaffolds to regulate cell phenotype, which may lead to clinically successful tissue regeneration. In this study, we hypothesized that gel stiffness could be a key factor to manipulate adhesion and proliferation of different types of cells. RGD-modified alginate gels with various mechanical properties were prepared and used as a substrate for MC3T3-E1 and H9C2 cells. Adhesion and growth rate of MC3T3-E1 cells in vitro were increased in parallel with an increase of gel stiffness. In contrast, those of H9C2 cells were decreased. This approach to control the mechanical properties of polymer scaffolds depending on the cell types may find useful applications in the tissue engineering.
This paper proposes an autonomous machine learning method applicable to the BCI(Brain-Computer Interface) is based on the self-organizing Kohonen method, one of the exemplary method of unsupervised learning. In addition we propose control method of learning region and self machine learning rule using an interactive function. The learning region control and machine learning was used to control the side effects caused by interaction function that is based on the self-organizing Kohonen method. After determining the winner neuron, we decided to adjust the connection weights based on the learning rules, and learning region is gradually decreased as the number of learning is increased by the learning. So we proposed the autonomous machine learning to reach to the network equilibrium state by reducing the flow toward the input to weights of output layer neurons.
Objectives : There is a need to develop a data quality management algorithm to improve the quality of healthcare data using a data quality management system. In this study, we developed a data quality control algorithms associated with diseases related to hypertension in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods : To make a data quality algorithm, we extracted the 2011 and 2012 discharge damage survey data from diabetes mellitus patients. Derived variables were created using the primary diagnosis, diagnostic unit, primary surgery and treatment, minor surgery and treatment items. Results : Significant factors in diabetes mellitus patients with hypertension were sex, age, ischemic heart disease, and diagnostic ultrasound of the heart. Depending on the decision tree results, we found four groups with extreme values for diabetes accompanying hypertension patients. Conclusions : There is a need to check the actual data contained in the Outlier (extreme value) groups to improve the quality of the data.

Recently, building is rapidly develop more intelligently because of the development of industries. And people seek such as comfort, efficiency, and convenience in office environment and the living environment. Also, people were able to use a variety of devices. Smart TV and smart phones were distributed widely so interaction between devices and human has been increase the interest. A various method study for interaction but there are some discomfort and limitations using controller for interaction. In this paper, a user could be easily interaction and control LED through using Kinect and gesture(hand gestures) without controller. we designed interface which is control LED using the joint information of gesture obtained from Kinect. A user could be individually controlled LED through gestures (hand movements) using the implementation of the interface. We expected developed interface would be useful in LED control and various fields.

User interface is one of important factors to enhance one's presence in virtual reality systems. Due to the performance improvement of hardware, the virtual reality system is extensively utilized in games, broadcastings, educations, cultural contents, and so on. And, it is enlarged the necessity for researches on mobile interface to control the virtual reality system guaranteeing user's unrestricted movement. In this paper, we present a mobile interface, ZA sensor which is constructed with a Zigbee module and a Accelerometer to control the virtual environment. And, we propose a method of constructing the virtual reality system using the ZA sensor as a input device and practical applications of the system.
CP (Cellular Phone) is currently one of the most attractive technologies and RT (Robot Technology) is also considered as one of the most promising next generation technology. We present a new technological concept named RCP (Robotic Cellular Phone), which combines RT and CP. RCP consists of 3 sub-modules, $RCP^{Mobility}$, $RCP^{Interaction}$, and $RCP^{Integration}$. $RCP^{Interaction}$ is the main focus of this paper. It is an interactive emotion system which provides CP with multi-emotional signal receiving functionalities. $RCP^{Interaction}$ is linked with communication functions of CP in order to interface between CP and user through a variety of emotional models. It is divided into a tactile, an olfactory and a visual mode. The tactile signal receiving module is designed by patterns and beat frequencies which are made by mechanical-vibration conversion of the musical melody, rhythm and harmony. The olfactory signal receiving module is designed by switching control of perfume-injection nozzles which are able to give the signal receiving to the CP-called user through a special kind of smell according to the CP-calling user. The visual signal receiving module is made by motion control of DC-motored wheel-based system which can inform the CP-called user of the signal receiving through a desired motion according to the CP-calling user. In this paper, a prototype system is developed for multi-emotional signal receiving modes of CP. We describe an overall structure of the system and provide experimental results of the functional modules.
