Effects of Protein and Carbohydrate Supplements on Feed Digestion in Indigenous Malaysian Goats and Sheep

  • Experiments were conducted to determine the effects of soybean meal (SBM) as a source of protein and sago meal (SM) as a source of carbohydrate on in situ and in vivo digestibility of dietary components in four male goats (Kambing Katjang) and four male sheep (Malin) weighing 25-35 kg. Rumen volume, as well as rumen fluid dilution rate were also determined. The animals were housed in single pens with individual feeding and drinking troughs and each animal was fitted with a rumen fistula. They were fed two diets : chopped rice straw+200 g soybean meal (SBM), and chopped rice straw+190 g soybean meal+300 g sago meal (SBM+SM). Rice straw was offered ad libitum. The supplements were isonitrogenous (80 g crude protein/animal/d), but the proportions of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude fibre (CF), neutral detergent fibre (NDF) and acid detergent fibre (ADF) were lower in the SBM supplement (191, 165, 11, 40, 15 g/animal/d for DM, OM, CF, NDF and ADF, respectively) than in the SBM+SM supplement (445, 423, 25, 102, 38 g/animal/d for DM, OM, CF, NDF and ADF, respectively). Two animals from each species were fed either supplement in a cross-over design in two periods. Each period lasted for four weeks. In situ and in vivo digestibility studies were carried out, followed by the determination of rumen volume and rumen fluid dilution rate. The results showed that straw DM and total DM intakes of goats (average of $48.7g/kg\;W^{0.75}$, $72.7g/kg\;W^{0.75}$, respectively) were significantly (p<0.01) higher than sheep (average of $3.56g/kg\;W^{0.75}$, $61.6g/kg\;W^{0.75}$, respectively), but OM, N and GE intakes were not significantly different between the two animal species. When the effect of supplements was compared, animals fed SBM+SM supplement had significantly (p<0.001) higher DM, OM and GE intakes than animals fed SBM supplement. Potential degradabilities of rice straw DM were significantly (p<0.01) higher in goats (average of 48.8%) than in sheep (average of 46.1 %). The supplements had no significant effect on the potential degradabilities of DM, OM and NDF, but they had a significant (p<0.05) effect on the degradation rates of DM and NDF. The addition of sago meal in the diet reduced the degradation rates of DM and NDF of rice straw in the rumen. Potential degradability of DM of soybean meal was not significantly different between animal species as well as between supplements. Sago meal was highly degradable. At 24 h of incubation in the rumen, 90-95% of DM loss was observed. There was a significant interaction between animal species and supplements in the in vivo digestibility of ADF and GE. In animals fed SBM supplement, the in vivo digestibility of ADF was significantly (p<0.05) higher in goats ($50.6{\pm}4.22%$) than in sheep ($44.4{\pm}3.21%$), but digestibility of GE was significantly (p<0.05) higher in sheep ($70.2{\pm}1.93%$) than in goats ($63.0{\pm}3.07%$). The digestibility values of CP and OM were significantly (p<0.05) higher in sheep when compared to goats. Animals fed SBM+SM supplement showed significantly (p<0.05) higher DM and OM digestibility values than animals fed SBM supplement, but digestibility values of CP were significantly (p<0.05) higher in animals fed SBM supplement. Differences in in vivo digestibility values of CF and NDF were not significantly different between animal species or supplements. Water intake, rumen volume ($1/kg\;W^{0.75}$), rumen fluid dilution rate and mean retention time were similar between the two animal species. However, rumen fluid dilution rate and mean retention time was significantly (p<0.01) affected by supplements. Animals fed SBM+SM had faster rumen fluid dilution rate and consequently shorter mean retention time.

Effects of Level and Degradability of Dietary Protein on Ruminal Fermentation and Concentrations of Soluble Non-ammonia Nitrogen in Ruminal and Omasal Digesta of Hanwoo Steers

  • Four ruminally fistulated Hanwoo steers were used to determine the effects of level and degradability of dietary protein on ruminal fermentation, blood metabolites and concentration of soluble non-ammonia nitrogen (SNAN) in ruminal (RD) and omasal digesta (OD). Experiments were conducted in a $4{\times}4$ Latin square design with a $2{\times}2$ factorial arrangement of treatments. Factors were protein supplements with two ruminal crude protein (CP) degradabilities, corn gluten meal (CGM) that was low in degradability (rumen-degraded protein (RDP), 23.4% CP) or soybean meal (SBM) that was high in degradability (RDP, 62.1% CP), and two feeding levels of CP (12.2 or 15.9% dry matter). Ruminal fermentation rates and plasma metabolite concentrations were determined from the RD collected at 2-h intervals and from the blood taken by jugular puncture, respectively. The SNAN fractions (free amino acid, peptide and soluble protein) in RD and OD collected at 2-h intervals were assessed by ninhydrin assay. Mean ruminal ammonia concentrations were 40.5, 74.8, 103.4 and 127.0 mg/L for low CGM, high CGM, low SBM and high SBM, respectively, with statistically significant differences (p<0.01 for CP level and p<0.001 for CP degradability). Blood urea nitrogen concentrations were increased by high CP level (p<0.001) but unaffected by CP degradability. There was a significant (p<0.05) interaction between level and degradability of CP on blood albumin concentrations. Albumin was decreased to a greater extent by increasing degradability of low CP diets (0.26 g/dl) compared with high CP diets (0.02 g/dl). Concentrations of each SNAN fraction in RD (p<0.01) and OD (p<0.05) for high CP diets were higher than those for low CP diets, except for peptides but concentrations of the sum of peptide and free amino acid in RD and OD were significantly higher (p<0.05) for high CP diets than for low CP diets. Soybean meal diets increased free amino acid and peptide concentrations in both RD (p<0.01) and OD (p<0.05) compared to CGM diets. High level and greater degradability of CP increased (p<0.001) mean concentrations of total SNAN in RD and OD. These results suggest that RDP contents, increased by higher level and degradability of dietary protein, may increase release of free amino acids, peptides and soluble proteins in the rumen and omasum from ruminal degradation and solubilization of dietary proteins. Because SNAN in OD indicates the terminal product of ruminal metabolism, increasing CP level and degradability appears to increase the amount of intestine-available nitrogen in the liquid phase.

  • Innovation can come from inside or outside organizations. Recently, organizations have begun turning to external knowledge more often, through various forms of collective intelligence (CI) as collaborative platform to solve complex problems. Several factors facilitate this CI utilization phenomenon. First, with the rapid development of Internet and social media, numerous web applications have become available to millions of the Internet users over the past few decades. Web 2.0 and social media have become innovative web applications that provide an environment for human social interaction and collaboration. Second, the diffusion of simple and easy-to-use technologies that enable users to interact and design web applications without programming skills have led to vast, previously unknown amounts of user-generated content. Finally, the Internet has enabled communities to connect and collaborate, creating a virtual world of CI. In this study, web enabled CI is defined as a composed ability of individuals who are acting as a single cognitive unit to achieve common goals, think reasonably, solve problems, make decisions, carry out complex tasks, and develop creative ideas collectively through participation and collaboration on the web. Although CI plays a critical role in organizational innovation and collaboration, the dubious quality of CI is still problem that is difficult to solve. In general, the quality level of content collected from the crowd is lower than that from professionals. Thus, it is important to identify determinants of CI quality and to analyze the relationship between CI quality and its usefulness. However, there is a lack of empirical study on the quality factors of web-enabled CI. There exist a variety of web enabled CI sites such as Threadless, iStockphoto or InnoCentive, Wikipedia, and Youtube. One of the most successful forms of web-enabled CI is the Wikipedia online encyclopedia, accessible all over the world. Another one example is Naver KnowledgeiN, a typical and popular CI site offering question and answer (Q&A) services. It is necessary to study whether or not different types of CI have a different effect on CI quality and its usefulness. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to answer to following research questions: ${\bullet}$ What determinants are important to CI quality? ${\bullet}$ What is the relationship between CI quality factors and the usefulness of web-enabled CI? ${\bullet}$ Does CI type have a moderating effect on the relationship between CI quality, its determinants, and CI usefulness? Online survey using Google Docs with email and Kakao Talk was conducted for collecting data from Wikipedia and Naver KnowledgeiN users. A totoal of 490 valid responses were collected, where users of Wikipedia were 220 while users of Naver KnowledgeiN were 270. Expertise of contributors, community size, and diversity of contributors were identified as core determinants of perceived CI quality. Perceived CI quality has significantly influenced perceived CI usefulness from a user's perspective. For improving CI quality, it is believed that organizations should ensure proper crowd size, facilitate CI contributors' diversity and attract as many expert contributors as possible. Hypotheses that CI type plays a role of moderator were partially supported. First, the relationship between expertise of contributors and perceived CI quality was different according to CI type. The expertise of contributors played a more important role in CI quality in the case of Q&A services such as Knowledge iN compared to wiki services such as Wikipedia. This implies that Q&A service requires more expertise and experiences in particular areas rather than the case of Wiki service to improve service quality. Second, the relationship between community size and perceived CI quality was different according to CI type. The community size has a greater effect on CI quality in case of Wiki service than that of Q&A service. The number of contributors in Wikipeda is important because Wiki is an encyclopedia service which is edited and revised repeatedly from many contributors while the answer given in Naver Knowledge iN can not be corrected by others. Finally, CI quality has a greater effect on its usefulness in case of Wiki service rather than Q&A service. In this paper, we suggested implications for practitioners and theorists. Organizations offering services based on collective intelligence try to improve expertise of contributeros, to increase the number of contributors, and to facilitate participation of various contributors.

True Digestibility of Phosphorus in Different Resources of Feed Ingredients in Growing Pigs

  • To determine the true digestible phosphorus (TDP) requirement of growing pigs, two experiments were designed with the experimental diets containing five true digestible P levels (0.16%, 0.20%, 0.23%, 0.26% and 0.39%) and the ratio of total calcium to true digestible P (TDP) kept at 2:1. In Experiment 1, five barrows (Duroc${\times}$Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire) with an average initial body weight of 27.9 kg were used in a $5{\times}5$ Latin-square design to evaluate the effect of different dietary P levels on the digestibility and output of P and nitrogen. In Experiment 2, sixty healthy growing pigs (Duroc${\times}$Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire) with an average body weight (BW) of 21.4 kg were assigned randomly to one of the five dietary treatments (12 pigs/diet), and were used to determine the true digestible phosphorus (TDP) requirement of growing pigs on the basis of growth performance and serum biochemical indices. The results indicated that the true digestibility of P increased (p<0.05) linearly with increasing dietary TDP level below 0.26%. The true P digestibility was highest (56.6%) when dietary TDP was 0.34%. Expressed as g/kg dry matter intake (DMI), fecal P output increased (p<0.05) linearly with increasing P input. On the basis of g/kg fecal dry matter (DM), fecal P output was lowest for Diet 4 and highest (p<0.05) for Diet 5. The apparent digestibility of crude protein (CP) did not differ (p>0.05) among the five diets, with the average nitrogen output of 12.14 g/d and nitrogen retention of 66% to 74% (p>0.05), which suggested that there was no interaction between dietary P and CP protein levels. During the 28-d experimental period of Experiment 2, the average daily gain (ADG) of pigs was affected by dietary TDP levels as described by Eq. (1): $y=-809,532x^4+788,079x^3-276,250x^2+42,114x-1,759$; ($R^2=0.99$; p<0.01; y = ADG, g/d; x = dietary TDP, %), F/G for pigs by Eq. (2): $y=3,651.1x^4-3,480.4x^3+1,183.8x^2-172.5x+10.9$ ($R^2=0.99$; p<0.01; y = F/G; x = dietary TDP, %), and Total P concentrations in serum by Eq. (3): $y=-3,311.7x^4+3,342.7x^3-1,224.6x^2+195.6x-8.7$ (R2 = 0.99; p<0.01; y = total serum P concentration and x = dietary TDP, %). The highest ADG (782 g/d), the lowest F/G (1.07) and the highest total serum P concentration (3.1 mmol/L) were obtained when dietary TDP level was 0.34%. Collectively, these results indicate that the optimal TDP requirement of growing pigs is 0.34% of the diet at a total Ca to TDP ratio of 2:1.

부가가치 제공 유형별 판매촉진과 유통업체 불확실성이 제품 가치 평가에 미치는 영향 - 사은품(Freebie) 제공 판매촉진을 중심으로 - (The Effect of Value-added Promotion and Retailer Uncertainty on Customers' Perceived Value of the Product)

  • 마케팅 연구에서 판매촉진은 지난 수십 년간 지속적으로 연구되어 온 분야중의 하나이다. 판매촉진은 소비자의 지각된 가치를 증가시키는 방법으로 크게 2가지 유형으로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 첫째, 소비자에게 비용을 줄여주는 방법인 가격인하 판매촉진과 둘째, 소비자에게 혜택을 제공하여 전체적인 지각된 가치를 높여주는 부가가치 제공 판매촉진 방법이 그것이다. 그 동안의 판매촉진의 연구를 살펴보면 주로 가격할인 판매촉진을 중심으로 연구가 많이 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 최근 들어 부가가치 제공 판매촉진 방법에 관한 연구가 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 특히, 부가가치 제공 판매촉진 활동의 효과 평가, 적절한 부가가치 판매촉진 방법, 구매의도에 관한 연구가 많이 이루어졌음을 확인할 수 있다. 즉, 판매촉진 자체에 초점을 맞춘 연구가 대부분이었다. 본 연구는 부가가치적 판매촉진이 판매촉진 제품의 가치평가에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 부가가치 판매촉진에 관심을 갖게 된 이유는 부가가치 판매촉진은 상황적인 요인에 의해 그 것이 혜택으로 지각될 수도 있지만 반드시 그렇지 않을 수도 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 이러한 상황적 요인으로 사은품 제시 방법과 유통업체의 불확실성 수준이라는 2가지 요인이 판매촉진 제품의 가치평가에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 보기위해 실험과 준실험을 이용한 2가지 연구를 실시하였다. 먼저 실험은 2(사은품 제시방법; 통합제시 vs. 분리제시) *2(유통업체의 불확실성 수준(높음 vs. 낮음) *3(평가대상; 전체제품(본 제품+사은품), 본 제품, 사은품)로 집단 간 실험설계를 하였다. 그 결과 사은품을 통합 제시하는 경우가 분리 제시하는 경우에 비해 제품 가치 평가를 더 높게 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 유통업체 불확실성 수준이 높은 경우가 낮은 경우에 비해 전체 제품 가치 평가를 더 낮게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 두 요인의 상호작용을 살펴본 결과, 전체적으로 살펴보았을 때 상호작용은 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 하지만 보다 상세한 결과를 알아보기 위해 각각의 평가 대상별로 알아본 결과, 본 제품 평가에 있어서 유통업체 불확실성이 높은 경우에 통합 제시하는 경우가 분리제시 하는 경우에 비해 제품 가치를 더 낮게 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 준실험인 연구 2는 연구 1의 결과를 재확인하기 위한 것으로 실제 시장에서 행해지고 있는 제품과 최근에 이용한 유통업체에 대해 평가하게 하였다. 그 결과 연구 1에서처럼 유통업체 불확실성이 높은 경우 제품 가치 평가를 더 낮게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 연구 1에서 살펴보지 않았던 구매의도를 조사하였다. 부가가치 판매촉진 이전의 유보가격과 부가가치 판매촉진 자극물을 본 이후의 유보가격의 차이를 이용하여 2개의 집단으로 나눈 후, 구매의도를 비교한 결과 두 집단 간 구매의도에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 유통업체 불확실성이 높은 경우, 사은품을 제공하는 것이 소비자에게 단순히 혜택으로 지각되는 것이 아니라 상술지각이 활성화되어 오히려 제품 평가에 부정적인 영향을 미치게 되며 구매를 망설이게 한다고 볼 수 있다.

내화처리(耐火處理) 및 재건조(再乾操)가 라디에타소나무의 역학적(力學的) 성질(性質)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of fire - retardant treatment and redrying on the mechanical properties of radiata pine)

  • 내화처리 및 재건조가 목재의 역학적 성질에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 라디에타소나무 변재 무결점 소형 시험편 내로 내화제인 borax-boric acid(BRX), minalith(MIN), pyresote(PYR)를 가압주입한 후 25, 60, 80, $11^{\circ}C$로 재건조한 후 휨성질과 종압축강도를 측정하였다. 내화처리 및 재건조에 의한 라디에타소나무 시편의 역학적 성질 감소 정도는 내화제의 종류, 보유량, 그리고 재건조온도의 조합에 따라 상이하였으며, 내화처리와 재건조온도간에 통계학적으로 매우 높은 유의성을 보이는 상호작용이 존재하였다. 휨강도와 휨파괴시 최대일량은 내화처리에 의해 상당히 감소되었으나 휨탄성계수와 종압축강도는 내화처리에 의해 감소되지 않고 오히려 BRX 처리구의 탄성계수와 BRX 및 PYR 처리구의 종압축강도는 대구조인 무처리구보다 높았다. 몇가지 내화제와 재건조온도의 조합의 휨탄성계수와 종압축강도의 경우를 제외하고는 내화제 보유량간에는 역학적 성질의 차이도 인정되지 않았다. 휨탄성계수와 종압축강도는 재건조온도의 영향을 크게 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 휨강도와 휨파괴시 최대일량은 재건조온도가 증가할수록 일반적으로 감소하였는데, BRX처리구는 재건조온도 $80^{\circ}C$부터, 그리고 MIN과 PYR 처리구는 재건조온도 $110^{\circ}C$에서 대구조와 비교할 때 심각한 휨강도의 감소가 관찰되었다. 따라서 내화처리 라디에타소나무 목재를 구조부재로 사용하기 위해서는 BRX 처리재의 경우는 $60^{\circ}C$, 그리고 MIN과 PYR 처리재의 경우는 $80^{\circ}C$ 이상의 건구온도를 적용하는 것은 삼가야 할 것이다.

현행 사이버가정학습 콘텐츠의 분석 및 평가 -고등학교 1학년 과학과정의 지구과학 영역을 중심으로- (An Analysis and Evaluation of Current Cyber Home Learning Contents - Focused on the Earth Science Area of Science Course for the 10th Grade-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고등학교 1학년 과학과정의 사이버가정학습 콘텐츠 중 지구과학영역에 대한 콘텐츠 분석 및 평가를 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국교육학술정보원(2008)의 '초 중등교육 e-러닝 품질관리 가이드라인(Ver.2.0)'에서 제시한 '사이버가정학습 콘텐츠 품질관리도구'를 적용하였다. 사이버가정학습 콘텐츠 분석에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습 안내는 학생들이 한 차시에 학습하게 될 내용들을 간략히 소개하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 선수학습에서는 진단평가가 이루어지지 않은 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 본 학습에서는 학습자의 수준에 맞게 콘텐츠를 선택하여 학습할 수 있었고, 본 학습시간은 10분 내외로 구성되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 평가에서는 학습자가 오답에 대한 피드백은 이루어지지 않고, 틀린 문항 수만 제시되어 있었다. 그리고 학습 정리는 그 차시에 배운 중요한 내용에 대해서는 다시 요약 정리하여 제시하고 있다. 사이버가정학습 콘텐츠 평가에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교수설계 평가영역에서는 학습자가 읽기에 불편한 많은 텍스트 자료를 제시하여 내용들을 설명하였다. 또한 학습자의 학습경험, 학습내용, 학습 환경을 고려한 체계적인 구성들이 미흡하였다. 그리고 학습내용 평가영역에서는 콘텐츠 에러로 학습내용이 나타나지 않았고, 각 차시마다 학습 분량이 너무 많은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교수 학습전략 평가영역에서 자기주도적 학습전략은 학습자의 자유로운 정보 탐색 및 스스로 학습할 수 있는 환경이 제대로 갖추어져 있지 않았다. 그리고 상호작용 평가영역에서는 단순 클릭으로 학습이 진행되었다. 셋째, 평가에 대한 평가영역에서 학습목표, 학습내용 및 평가내용에 대해 일관성이 없는 것으로 평가되었다. 또한 콘텐츠는 수준별 콘텐츠로 구성이 되어 있지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

  • 유색육용계의 사육 기간별 사료내 대사에너지와 조단백질수준을 구명하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 사양시험은 사육 전기(0~5주), 중기(6~10), 후기(11~14주)로 나누어 실시하였다. 실험설계는 $3{\times}3$ 요인시험으로 시험사료의 대사에너지와 조단백질은 각각 사육전기에 2,950, 3,000, 3,050 kcal/kg, 18, 19, 20%, 중기에 3,000, 3,050, 3,100 kcal/kg, 17, 18, 19%, 후기에 3,050, 3,100, 3,150 kcal/kg, 16, 17, 18% 수준으로 급여하였다. 사육 전기에 사료 ME 수준에 따른 증체량, 사료섭취량, 사료요구율은 처리구간 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않으나 사료비용은 ME 3,050 kcal/kg 처리구에서 유의적으로 높으며 증체량 대비 사료비용(feed cost/weight gain, FC/WG)은 ME 수준이 낮을수록 감소하였다(P<0.05). 그리고 CP 함량에 따른 증체량, 사료요구율은 19, 20% 처리구가 CP 18% 처리구보다 개선되었고 FC/WG는 CP 19% 처리구에서 다른 처리구에 비해 유의적으로 감소하였다(P<0.05). ME 및 CP간 상호작용은 사료섭취량과 사료요구율에서 존재하며 (P<0.05) 증체량은 나타내지 않았다. 사육 중기에 증체량, 사료섭취량은 ME 3,000 kcal/kg 처리구에서 ME 3,100 kcal/kg 처리구보다 증가하였고(P<0.05), 사료요구율은 ME 처리구간 차이가 없었다. 이 시기에 사료내 단백질 수준의 차이가 처리구간에 미치는 영향은 없었으며, CP와 ME 수준간 상호작용은 없었다. 그리고 사료비용은 처리구간 차이가 없으나 FC/WG는 ME 3,000, 3,050 kcal/kg 처리구에서 ME 3,100 kcal/kg 처리구보다 감소하였다(P<0.05). 사육 후기에서 사료의 CP 함량 차이가 증체량, 사료섭취량, 사료요구율에 영향은 미치지 않으나 에너지 수준 차이에 따라서 사료섭취량은 ME 3,150 kcal/kg 처리구에서 ME 3,050, 3,100 kcal/kg 처리구보다 감소되었다(P<0.05). 사료비용은 CP 16% 처리구에서 CP 18% 처리구보다 낮았고(P<0.05) FC/WG는 CP 16, 17% 처리구에서 CP 18% 처리구에 비하여 낮았다(P<0.05). 따라서, 유색육용계의 생산성 개선을 위한 사육단계별 사료내 적정 단백질 및 에너지수준은 전기, 중기, 후기에 각각 2,950 kcal/kg, 19%; 3,000 kcal/kg, 18%; 3,100 kcal/kg, 16 또는 17%로 사료된다.

중·북부지역에서 국내육성 호밀품종의 채종방법 (Development of Optimal Seed Production Methods Using Domestic Rye Cultivar in Central and North Area of Korea)

  • 국내 호밀 종자의 자급률을 향상시키기 위해 중부지역에 적합한 종자 채종기술을 개발하고자 2013~2015년까지 3개년에 걸쳐 경기도 수원에서 시험을 실시하였다. 품종은 국내 육성종인 곡우호밀을 사용하였고, 시험구는 파종량 3수준(3, 5, 7 kg/10a), 질소시비량 3수준(3, 6, 9 kg/10a)의 분할구배치법 3반복으로 하였으며, 생육특성과 종실 생산성을 평가하였다. 호밀 종자의 파종량을 늘리면 $m^2$당 수수가 증가하지만, 유효경 비율 1수립수 임실률 리터중 및 천립중이 다소 감소하는 경향을 보였으나 수량 증가에는 영향이 크지 않았다. 질소시비량을 늘리면 $m^2$당 수수와 1수립수가 많아지고 임실률 등의 증가로 수량이 증가하였다. 그리고 호밀의 종실수량은 파종량과 질소시비량 간 교호작용을 보이지 않았다. 국내육성 호밀품종의 종자생산 시 생산성과 더불어 종자 및 비료절감, 환경보호 등을 고려할 때 10a당 적정 파종량은 5 kg, 질소시비량은 5~6 kg 이었다.

편마비 환자의 재활과정에 따른 스트레스와 대처의 변화양상 (Stress and Coping for Patients with Hemiplegia during the Rehabilitation Process)

  • It is important to understand that patients with hemiplegia are under stress during the rehabilitation process. This study was designed to determine what changes occur in the stress perceived by these patients during the rehabilitation process. and what changes occur in the ways they coped with stress. A decriptive study with a longitudinal design was conducted. A total of 57 patients with hemiplegia who were admitted to one general hospital made up the sample for this study. A questionnaire, observations and interviews were used for the data collection which was done in three phases(within one week after admission : within one week before discharge ; within one month after discharge ). Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA repeated measures of ANOVA, and post hoc paired t -test, Bonferroni correction. The results of this study are : 1. Changes in the perception of stress during the rehabilitation process : There was a statistically significant differencs in the perception of stress among these patients during the rehabilitation process. On the post-hoc test. the perception of stress showed a statistically significant decrease from admission to discharge. The perception of psychological stress was high during the rehabilitation process as compared with the perception of physical and social stress. 2. Changes in the way the patients coped during the rehabilitation process : On admission passive coping was used by most of the subjects(91.2%). Passive coping showed an decrease from admission to discharge, but an increase from discharge to follow-up at one month post discharge. There was, however, no statistically significant changes in the way the patients coped during the rehabilitation process. 3. Changes in perception of stress during the rehabilitation process according to variables. Perception of stress among patients classified as So-Um was higher during the rehabilitation process, when compared with patients classified as So- Yang and Tae-Um. There was, however, no statistically significant difference in perception of stress over time. The patients with right sided paralysis perceived higher stress than those with left sided paralysis. There was, however, no statistically significant difference in perception of stress over time. Hence, stress was not influenced by which side was paralyzed th frequency of the relapse of the disease, or the time in the rehabilitation process. 4. Changes in coping during the rehabilitation process according to variables. There was a statistically significant difference in the way the patients coped at follow- up according to the three different kinds of the constitution groups. In other words, coping was not used by patients classified as Tae-Um but was used by those classified as So-Um. On the repeated measures of ANOVA, there was a statstically significant difference in stress over time, and an interaction between constitution and time. But the way of coping during the rehabilitation process was not influenced by which side was paralyzed nor by the frequency of the relapse of the disease. In conclusion, perception of psychological stress was high during the rehabilitation process, as compared to perception of physical and social stress. There was a statistcally significant difference in the perception of stress over time, Perception of stress showed a gradual decrease from over admission to follow-up period. There was. however, no statistically significant difference in the way of coping over time. Passive coping was used by most of patients. In the study, these findings suggest a need for nursing care related to the psychological support for patients with hemiplegia both in the hospital as well as at home, and the need for education and counseling on independent self-care to help the hemiplegic patients adapt to stress using active coping.
