  • In this paper, the problem of delay-dependent stabilization for singular systems with multiple internal and external incommensurate constant point delays is investigated. The condition when a singular system subject to point delays is regular independent of time delays is given and it can be easily test with numerical or algebraic methods. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and the descriptor integral-inequality lemma, a sufficient condition for delay-dependent stability is obtained. The main idea is to design multiple memoryless state feedback control laws such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular independent of time delays, impulse free, and asymptotically stable via solving a strict linear matrix inequality (LMI) problem. An explicit expression for the desired memoryless state feedback control laws is also given. Finally, a numerical example illustrates the effectiveness and the availability for the proposed method.

  • We have reported the reaction probability, integral reaction cross section, and rate constant for the title system calculated with the aid of a time-dependent wave packet approach. The ab initio potential energy surface (PES) of Prudente et al. (Chem. Phys. Lett. 2009, 474, 18) is employed for the purpose. The calculations are carried out over the collision energy range of 0.05-1.4 eV for the two reaction channels of H + LiH ${\rightarrow}$ Li + $H_2$ and $H_b$ + $LiH_a$ ${\rightarrow}$ $LiH_b$ + $H_a$. The Coriolis coupling (CC) effect are taken into account. The importance of including the Coriolis coupling quantum scattering calculations are revealed by the comparison between the Coriolis coupling and the centrifugal sudden (CS) approximation calculations.

  • This paper proposes an exact numerical method for analyzing a dipole antenna attached on a dielectric slab. A Green's function for an infinitesimal current filament on a dielectric slab is derived and a field integral equation is formulated using a boundary condition. The moment Method is used to solve the field integral equation to otain current distribution on the antenna. Since an asymptotic function is used to compute the impedance matrix elements, the computataion time is significantly reduced. Using the computed current distributions, the input impedances, the resonance lengths and the resonant resistances of the antennas for various values of the thichnessandthe dielectric constant of the slab are obtained. It was found that the resonant length and the resonant resistance are decrease monotonically as the dielectric constant increases, however, those are changed up-and-down as the substrate thickness increases.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy logic controlled new topology of high voltage gain zero voltage switching (ZVS) asymmetrical PWM full-bridge DC-DC boost converter for constant load and high power applications. The APWM full-bridge stage provides high voltage gain and soft-switching characteristics increase the efficiency and reduce the switching losses. Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) improves the performance and dynamic characteristics of the proposed converter. A comparison with a classical proportional-integral (PI) controller demonstrates the high performances of the proposed technique in terms of effective output voltage regulation under different operating conditions. Simulation is done by integrating two different simulation platforms $PSIM^{(R)}$ and $Matlab^{(R)}/Simulink^{(R)}$ by using SimCoupler tool of $PSIM^{(R)}$. Experimental results using 120W load have been provided to validate the results.

  • Direct time integration method such as Newmark method is numerically performed under the assumption that continuous load function such as constant amplitude load can be treated as a discontinuous load fuction. It is due that the load can be treated as a constant value at the given time period regardless of variation of load at the time increment interval. It means the numerical results should be accompanied by the error due to approximation of load fuction. In contrast, the load function is calculated by convolution integral for the given time interval at finite element equation based on Gurtin's variation equation. Therefore. precise numerical results can be obtained by Gurtin's method because of convolution integral for the continuous load fuction curve even at the variation of load function in the given time interval. In this study, we prove that Gurtin's method can be more suitable than Newmark method in the problem of constant amplitude loading, using the numerical results for the free end of the one-dimensional rod. This study also shows that Gurtin's method is more effective in constant amplitude loading than in constant loading. The accuracy and the validity are verified by comparison between the results of in-house FORTRAN code and ADINA, a commercial software supporting Newmark method.

  • Let H and K be two Hilbert spaces, and let A and B be two bounded linear operators from H to K. We are interested in $RangeB^*{\supseteq}RangeA^*$. It is well known that this is equivalent to the inequality $A^*A{\geq}{\varepsilon}B^*B$ for a positive constant ${\varepsilon}$. We study conditions in terms of symbols when A and B are singular integral operators, Hankel operators or Toeplitz operators, etc.

  • In this paper, we present a novel control method for the plant with an integral mode and long time delay. In a constant time delay problem, one can independently adjust the set response and the disturbance response by the proposed DTC without any additional control variables. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed DTC, it is compared with Matausek´s DTC and Normey-rico´s DTC which were recently proposed. Simulation results are given and the superior performance of the proposed scheme over the conventional schemes are successfully verified.

  • This paper deals with linear impulsive fractional differential equations involving the Caputo derivative with non-integer order q. We provide exact solutions of linear impulsive fractional differential equations with constant coefficient by mean of the Mittag-Leffler functions. Then we apply the exact solutions to improve impulsive integral inequalities with singularity.

  • We consider the problem that how must the production of certain item vary as a function of time, if for known losses due to depreciation the total amount of the product is to have a constant value. The integral equation associated with the problem is solved by an appeal to the convolution quotients. The production function comes out to be an expression containing the generalized Laguerre polynomials. The loss function and the production function are tabulated for different values of the parameter by using an IBM 370/145 computer.

  • We establish a sharp integral inequality related to compact (without boundary) linear Weingarten hypersurfaces (immersed) in a locally symmetric Einstein manifold and we apply it to characterize totally umbilical hypersurfaces and isoparametric hypersurfaces with two distinct principal curvatures, one which is simple, in such an ambient space. Our approach is based on the ideas and techniques introduced by Alías and Meléndez in [4] for the case of hypersurfaces with constant scalar curvature in an Euclidean round sphere.
