This study aimed to investigate the influence of mesoporous carbons on the thermal insulation properties of epoxy/mesoporous carbon composites. The mesoporous carbon (CMK-3) was prepared by conventional templating method using SBA-15. The epoxy/mesoporous carbon composites were prepared by mixing the synthesized CMK-3 with diglycidylether of bisphenol A (DGEBA). As experimental results, the curing reactivities of the DGEBA/CMK-3 composites were found to decrease with the addition of the CMK-3. Also, the thermal conductivities of DGEBA/CMK-3 composites were found to decrease with increasing CMK-3 content. This could be interpreted in terms of the slow thermal diffusion rate resulting in pore volume existing in the gaps in the interfaces between the mesoporous carbon and the DGEBA matrix.
In this paper, polyimide thin films are fabricated by vapor deposition polymerization method appling to the interlayer insulator of semiconductor device, and are investigated in detail. It is found that the packing density and uniformity of films deposited by thermal evaporation are increased according to curing temperature. The resistivity, breakdown strength, relative permitivity, and dielectric loss are $3.2\tomes10^{15}\Omega$cm, 4.61 MV/cm, 2.9(10kHz) at $25^{\circ}C$, respectively. This thin films can be endured at $230^{\circ}C$ for 20,000 hours. Finally, we conclude that the thin films having the characteristics similar to those of $SiO_2$ can be used as an insulation films between layers of semiconductor device.
PSR ink is used to insulation coating material that heat resistance is. The use purpose is used for bridge prevention, circuit protection, stabilization of insulation. Heat-cured resin was used mainly on the materials of PSR inks. But, UV-curing type resin in used. Also, because of recently environmental problem, ink is going to water type. Purpose of this study is to develop PSR ink that can develop in pure water. and experiment did that do from that find suitable oligomer and monomer and does brand ratio differ. Specially Knew that is extent water soluble UV resin develop possible is DPHA 10~50% that A/A1924 is 50~90wt %, monomer. As a result, when ratio of A/A1924 and DPHA low viscosity epoxy resin is 5:1.5:1.5, could get high sensibility pattern repeatability, tack and alkali-resistance.
Recently developed liquid silicone rubber (LSR) can be cured by platinum catalyzed additional hydrosilylation mechanism and has the advantage of no byproduct compared to traditional millable peroxide curing silicone rubber. We investigated the characteristics of dielectric breakdown of silicone rubber and adhesion properties between semi-conductive LSR and insulating LSR for high voltage application of pre-molded joint (PMJ). In order to understand the dielectric breakdown characteristics, we used the sheet samples and the paired type rogowski insert electrode system. The breakdown strength and adhesion strength of LSR (E-3) were superior to those of several silicone rubbers. Adhesion strength could be improved by curing at high temperature without post-curing process or enhanced by post-curing process. When LSR (E-3) was cured at $(150^{\circ}C{\times}10min$ semi-conductive )${\times}$ ($175^{\circ}C{\times}10min$ insulation), it showed the high breakdown strength with low standard deviation, and good adhesion strength. In this results, we could apply this process to the fabrication of PMJ without post-curing.
Cement-based thermal insulation material was manufactured using OPC, lime, anhydrite, and CSA cement in this study. The morphology and physical properties of the material were analyzed using XRD. All samples had ettringite, Ca(OH)2, and CaCO3 crystals. The XRD peak intensity of the ettringite and Ca(OH)2 slightly increased with an increase in curing time from 3 to 7 days. The compressive strength values at 28 days of specimens 1-8 were in the range of 0.25-0.32 MPa, and the compressive strength values of specimens 3-8 were > 0.3 MPa. The coefficients of correlation between compressive strength and apparent gravity at 7 days and those between compressive strength and ettringite/Ca(OH)2 XRD peak intensity at 28 days were above 0.8. That is, the compressive strength exhibited an influence on apparent gravity at 7 days and on hydrate at 28 days. The thermal conductivity of all specimens was 0.041-0.045 W/mK, and the highest value of thermal conductivity was shown by specimen 5. The coefficient of correlation between apparent gravity and thermal conductivity was 0.84. It was concluded that control of raw materials and hydrates must be considered for manufacturing of insulation materials. The cement-based thermal insulation material in this study could be used in construction fields.
The present feasible tests are to develop the lightweight concrete using bottom ash aggregates and performed air foam for applying to sustainable high-insulation panel. The main variables investigated are water-to-binder, foam volume ratio, and curing conditions. Test results showed that the lightweight concrete possessed the compressive strength of 5~9 MPa at the air dry density of 951~1,139 kg/m3.
The present study was to develop a dry PFB method similar to the existing gypsum board construction method in order to apply the existing wet PFB method that uses fire-resistant adhesive. It was found that the existing wet method can produce concrete compressive strength of 80MPa and fire resistance of 3 hours with 30mm PF boards. The goal of development in this study was fire resistance of 3 hours through dry construction of 15mm fire-resistant boards. 1. Improved PF board was prepared by adding inorganic fiber to existing board and using aggregate with grain size of 3mm or less. Molding was done at temperature higher than that for existing PF board molding. While wet curing is used for existing PF boards, this study used dry curing in order to enhance heat insulation performance. 2. According to the results of fire resistance test, when the dry PF method was applied, the temperature of the main reinforcing bar was 116℃ in 15mm, 103.8℃ in 20mm, and 94℃ in 25mm, and these results satisfied the current standards for fire resistance control presented by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. When a 3-hour fire resistance test was performed and the external properties of the specimen were examined, the outermost gypsum board hardly remained and internal PF board maintained its form without thermal strain.

Mechanical and electrical properties of epoxy/silica microcomposites were investigated. The cycloaliphatic- type epoxy resin was diglycidyl 1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylate and the curing agent was of an anhydride type. To measure the glass transition temperature (Tg), dynamic differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis was carried out, and tensile and flexural tests were performed using a universal testing machine (UTM). Electrical breakdown strength, the most important property for electrical insulation materials, and insulation breakdown strength were also tested. The microcomposite with 60 wt% microsilica showed maximum values in mechanical and electrical properties.
Concrete bond strength with steel re-bars depends on multiple factors including concrete-steel interface and mechanical properties of concrete. However, the hydration development of cementitious paste, and in turn the mechanical properties of concrete, are negatively affected by cold weather. This study aimed at exploring the concrete-steel bonding behavior in concrete cast and cured under freezing temperatures. Three concrete mixtures were cast and cured at -10 and -20℃. The mixtures were protected using conventional insulation blankets and a hybrid system consisting of insulation blankets and phase change materials. The mixtures comprised General Use cement, fly ash (20%), nano-silica (6%) and calcium nitrate-nitrite as a cold weather admixture system. The mixtures were tested in terms of internal temperature, compressive, tensile strengths, and modulus of elasticity. In addition, the bond strength between concrete and steel re-bars were evaluated by a pull-out test, while the quality of the interface between concrete and steel was assessed by thermal and microscopy studies. In addition, the internal heat evolution and force-slip relationship were modeled based on energy conservation and stress-strain relationships, respectively using three-dimensional (3D) finite-element software. The results showed the reliability of the proposed models to accurately predict concrete heat evolution as well as bond strength relative to experimental data. The hybrid protection system and nano-modified concrete mixtures produced good quality concrete-steel interface with adequate bond strength, without need for heating operations before casting and during curing under freezing temperatures down to -20℃.
