활성슬러지조내 부직포 여재 관형필터의 고액분리 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Tubular Type Non-woven Fabric Filter for Solid-liquid Separation in Activated Sludge Reactor)

  • 활성슬러지 공정에 막을 침지한 MBR(Membrane Bioreactor)공정에서 고가의 막을 대체하여 부직포 같은 섬유 여과막을 이용한 연구가 수행되었다. 부직포는 저렴한 가격, 저압에서 높은 투과유속의 확보 등 막을 대체할 수 있는 대안으로서 가치가 높다. 그러나 부직포 여과막 모듈은 막에 비하여 비표면적이 현저하게 작기 때문에 이를 증가시키는 노력이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 활성슬러지 공정에 부직포 여과 관형 막모듈을 침지하여 설치형태와 관직경에 따라 여과압력에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 검토하였다. 관형 필터의 직경이 같을 때, 반응조내 필터 모듈의 설치형태가 여과압력 변화에 미치는 영향은 없었다. 그러나 필터의 관 직경이 작을수록 여과압력의 상승이 빠르게 나타났고 이는 관내 수리학적 손실에 기인된 것으로 해석되었다. 따라서 관형 부직포 여과막은 관경 10 mm 이상에서 비표면적을 고려하여 설계하고, 반응조내 수직형으로 설치함이 적정한 것으로 나타났다.

그리드 환경을 위한 정형화된 웹 기반 데이터 검색 시스템 (Formalized Web-based Data Searching System for GRID Environment)

  • 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 데이터를 그리드 시스템에서 사용하기 위해서는 먼저 시스템에 필요한 데이터를 수집하여 데이터베이스나 파일 시스템에 저장한 후, 데이터베이스의 데이터 및 그 인덱스를 관리하는 전용의 모듈을 별도로 구현하고, 그리드 시스템에 연동시켜야 한다. 웹 기반의 데이터 검색 시스템을 구현하여 데이터베이스에 있는 데이터들을 그리드 시스템에서 바로 사용할 수 있다면, 전용의 데이터 모듈 없이 그리드 시스템에서 바로 데이터를 처리할 수 있으므로, 보다 효율적이고 사용하기 쉬우며, 데이터베이스의 변경에 유연하게 대처한 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 데이터베이스의 데이터를 바로 그리드 시스템과 연계시켜 사용한 수 있는 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 이 검색 시스템을 이용하여 버추얼 스크리닝 작업을 수행하는 바이오 그리드 시스템에 적용하여 UB Grid (Universal Bio Grid)를 구축하였다. 개발자는 웹에서 제공되는 데이터론 그리드 시스템에 통합시키기 위한 시간과 노력을 줄일 수 있었으며, 사용자는 보다 쉽게 효율적으로 UB Grid 시스템을 사용한 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 서비스품질을 활용한 측정기준을 설정하여 지역문화축제에 대한 인식수준을 파악함과 동시에 서비스품질에 대한 중요도-성취도 분석을 통하여 향후 서비스품질 향상 및 방문객의 축제이용시 이용극대화를 위한 효율적인 개선운영방안을 모색하여 지역문화축제의 질적향상에 도움이 되고자 한다. 중요도와 성취도간 대응일치 t-test 결과 1)응답성 요인에서는 휴식공간여부, 시설배치도, 의사전달, 화장실비치/청결도 2) 확신성 요인에서는 음식가격, 종업원의 친절, 3)신뢰성 요인에서는 (행사장까지)축제팸플릿, 안내시설/표지판, 친절도, 스케줄안내, 신속한 대응 등 모든 항목, 4) 유형성 요인에서도 지역문화인지도, 유익성, 스토리텔링 등 모든 항목에서 5) 공감성 요인에서는 행사의 다양성과 축제내용 항목에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

생태통로 조성 국내외 사례 조사를 통한 개선과제 연구 (An Analysis of Eco-corridors in Korea by Case Study of Domestic and Foreign Cases)

  • In an effort to preserve biodiversity in increasingly fragmented green patches, Korea has been installing eco-corridors over or under some arterial or expressways. In a survey of 43 such eco-corridors installed up until the year 2003, some problems and issues were identified. Some selected overseas eco-corridors were also investigated to find implications for the improvements of future installations in Korea. Major findings are; - For most existing eco-corridors, target species are not specified and locations of the eco-corridors are not well considered, and consequently it is questionable if wildlifes are crossing them - Most of existing eco-corridors lack supporting facilities such as fences that guide wildlife to cross them and prevent them from running into the road - Planting on the eco-corridors is not sufficient, not diverse enough in species, and not very considerate of wildlife but designed and planted in a similar manner as in urban parks - Where target species are not well specified, the location, width, cross section, and other aspects of the eco-corridors can not be optimized - It is suggested that eco-corridors are planned at early stages of road planning so that the number and locations of eco-corridor(s) decided as necessary and even the alignment and design of roads consider the installation of eco-corridors in advance - Monitoring of wildlife crossings is needed for improved eco-corridor planning and design - Nationwide green network plan is desirable to be made first and eco-corridors fit into it.

초대형 구조모델을 활용한 쉘구조물의 용접변형 해석 (A weld-distortion analysis method of the shell structures using ultra structural FE model)

  • A very large shell-structure built in shipyards like ship hulls or offshore structures are joined by welding through full process. As the welding contains a high thermal cycle at a local area, the welded structures should be distorted unavoidably. Because a distorted ship block should be revised to the designed value before the next stage, the ability to predict and to control the weld distortion is an accuracy level of the yard itself. Despite the ship block size, several present thermal distortion methodologies can deal those sizes, but it is a different story to deal full ship size model. Even a fully constructed ship hull not remaining any welding can have an accuracy issue like outfitting installation problems. Any present thermal distortion methodology cannot accept this size for its recommended element size and the number. The ordinary welding breadth at erection stage is about 20~40 mm. It can hardly be a good choice to make finite element model of these sizes considering human effort and computational environment. The finite element model for structure analysis of a ship hull is prepared at front-end engineering design stage which is the first process of the project. The element size of the model is as fine as the longitudinal space, and it is not proper to obtain a weld distortion at the erection stage. In this study, a methodology is suggested that a weldment can be shrunk at original place instead of using structural finite element model. We cut the original shell elements at erection weld-line and put truss elements between the edges of cut elements for weld shrinkage. Additional truss elements are used to facsimile transverse weld shrinkage which cannot be from the weld-line truss element shrink. They attach to weld-line truss element like twigs from barks. The capacity of developed elements is verified through an accuracy check of erection process of a container vessel at the apt. hull. It can be a useful tool for verifying a centering accuracy after renew and for block-separating planning considering accuracy.

Assessing Compliance with the Wildlife Crossing Guideline in South Korea

  • To restore the connectivity of fragmented habitats, 415 wildlife crossings have been built between 1998 and 2014 in South Korea. However, their effect on wildlife conservation is still in doubt. As a first step to examine the effectiveness, our study aims to assess compliance with the guideline for wildlife crossing construction and management, developed by the Ministry of Environment Korea that provides fundamental information to understand the status and the problem of wildlife crossings in Korea and thus to provide practical guidance for the improvement. According to our survey, the Korea National Park Service complied with the guideline best (62.5%) while local government followed the guideline least (46.1%). In addition, the compliance rate was the highest for wildlife crossings in national roads (53.6%) followed by highways (53.2%) and local and municipal roads (52.2%). For the overpass wildlife crossings, the compliance rates for installation of an escaping facility in the drainage and prevention of pedestrian and vehicle access were particularly low. In case of underpass wildlife crossings, small ditches for amphibians and reptiles were not sufficient, and the linkage between wildlife fences and underpass were weak. In order to ensure the effectiveness of wildlife crossings, the effort to increase the compliance rate with the guideline is critical, and mandating the guideline could be a practical way to enforce the compliance.

장지간 깊은 굴착에서 지반변형 및 버팀보 축력변화 특성 사례연구(II) (Case Study of Characteristic of Ground Deformation and Strut Axial Force Change in Long Span Deep Excavation(II))

  • In the case of relatively good ground and construction condition in the deep excavation for the construction of subway, railway, building etc., flexible earth retaining systems are often used in an economical point of view. It is generally known that the mechanism of behavior in the flexible earth retaining system is relatively more complicated than the rigid earth retaining system. Moreover in the case of long span strut supporting system the analysis of strut axial force change becomes more difficult when the differences of ground condition and excavation work progress on both sides of excavation section are added. When deeper excavation than the specification or installation delay of supporting system is done or change of ground condition is faced due to the construction conditions during construction process, lots of axial force can be induced in some struts and that can threaten the safety of construction. This paper introduces one example of long span deep excavation where struts and rock bolts were used as a supporting system with flexible wall structure. The characteristics of ground deformation and strut axial force change, the measured data obtained during construction process, were analysed, the effects of relatively deeper excavation than the specification on one excavation side and rapid drawdown of ground water level on the other excavation side were deeply investigated from the viewpoint of mutual influences between ground deformations of both excavation sides and strut axial force changes. The effort of this article aims to improve and develop the technique of design and construction in the coming projects having similar ground condition and supporting method.

국내 장수명 공동주택 Mock-up House와 일본 KSI 실험주택 인필 요소기술 비교 연구 (A Study on the comparison of Infill Technology between Korea long life Apartment Mock up House and Japan KSI experimental House)

  • The thesis is a comparative analysis of Infill Technologies between Korea's long-life Mock-up House, a study driven by 'Durability and Flexibility of Long-life Housing Technology Development' of R&D, and Japan's KSI experimental house, the major example of Japan's long-llfe housing. In terms of the domestic Mock-up House, a system of building the floor first was applied. The floor material of each housing unit required a development of dry heating component that is partially substitutable in order to avoid conflict with the finishing. Also, a development of a floor system that can counteract against the construction inaccuracy was required. In the Case of an outer wall, need to make the wall with the chassis. In the case of ceiling, need to develop the double ceiling system which is good for sound insulation. Also, in comparison to KSI experimental house in Japan, it would require to develop a wiring system of the ceiling which can react to the movement of the wall. Especially, to assure the flexible nature of an internal wall, it would desperately require the research and development of the products related to components and flexible system of mechanical/electrical/communication parts as well as supporting institutionalized system for this development. Furthermore, for KSI experimental house in Japan, it would be necessary to formulate a construction manual as well as a systematic and practical planning guide to invent a new interface rule which will secure simplicity of assembling, dismantling, installation and replacement of architectural components for which research development is quite insignificant at the moment. This effort will have to continue to give a solid direction for better application of such reference manual during construction and development of long life span apartment by public sector as well as private corporations.

  • With the long-term use of fossil fuel, the whole world is suffering from serious abnormal changes in weather caused by global warming. For this reason, many countries are reducing greenhouse gas emissions out of obligation and the allowable emissions are assigned to each country. Korea is also putting much effort into reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent against BAU(Business As Usual) by 2020, and is pushing ahead with several projects such as 'Million Green Home' and 'Hatsal Gaduk Home' to expand the use of new renewable energy in house as part of its policy. This study was designed to come up with improvements and help to expand photovoltaic facilities, by investigating and analyzing the current state of photovoltaic facilities in the country and problems in installing them through an in-site reconnaissance and a survey in Jecheon area. As the result, it was found that residents in the area were inadequate to operate and install photovoltaic facilities, lacked awareness of them and felt burdened economically by managing and installing them, although they had a high awareness of solar energy and photovoltaic facilities are constantly increasing with governmental support. In conclusion, it is considered that as improvements, operational effects should be increased through development of techniques, factors to reduce the effects in operating them due to insufficient management and installation should be removed and awareness of residents need to be improved through long-term plans, political support and education of the government.

구조물 모니터링을 위한 무선 스마트 센서 네트워크의 칼만 필터 기반 데이터 복구 (Kalman Filter-based Data Recovery in Wireless Smart Sensor Network for Infrastructure Monitoring)

  • 사회기반시설물의 안전성을 효과적으로 평가하고 모니터링하기 위해 무선 스마트 센서가 개발되어 전 세계적으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 무선 스마트 센서는 통상 계측 및 임베디드 데이터 연산, 무선 통신이 가능한 공통점을 갖고 있어 기존의 유선 기반 센서가 가진 단점을 극복할 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다. 그러나 구조물의 장기 모니터링의 경우 내구성이 충분하지 못해 발생하는 센서 고장이나, 환경적 이유로 인한 무선 통신이 불안정할 경우 계측 데이터를 가져올 수 없는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 무선 스마트 센서 기반의 네트워크에서 이와 같은 문제로 센서 노드에 무선 통신으로 접근할 수 없는 경우를 대처하기 위해, 칼만 필터 기반의 데이터 복구를 수행하여 무선 스마트 센서 네트워크의 신뢰성을 향상시키는 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 무선 스마트 센서의 연산 기능을 활용하여 네트워크 내에서 계측된 가속도 데이터를 바탕으로 유실된 센서의 가속도 계측 데이터를 추정한다. 개발된 무선 스마트 센서 네트워크 시스템의 성능을 확인하기 위해 단순보 구조에서 실험을 수행하여 추정된 가속도 응답과 계측 값을 비교하였다.
