Fabrication of Poly(Vinylidene Fluoride) Nanocomposite Fibers Containing Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Silver Nanowires and their Application in Textile Sensors for Motion Detection and Monitoring (산화아연(Zinc oxide) 나노입자와 은나노 와이어(Silver nanowire)를 함유한 Poly(vinylidene fluoride) 복합나노섬유 제조 및 동작 센서로의 적용 가능성 탐색)

  • In this study, nanofiber-based textile sensors were developed for motion detection and monitoring. Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) nanofibers containing zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles and silver nanowires (AgNW) were fabricated using electrospinning. PVDF was chosen as a piezoelectric polymer, zinc oxide as a piezoelectric ceramic, and AgNW as a metal to improve electric conductivity. The PVDF/ZnO/AgNW nanocomposite fibers were used to develop a textile sensor, which was then incorporated into an elbow band to develop a wearable smart band. Changes in the output voltage and peak-to-peak voltage (Vp-p) generated by the joint's flexion and extension were investigated using a dummy elbow. The β-phase crystallinity of pure PVDF nanofibers was 58% when analyzed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy; however, the β-phase crystallinity increased to 70% in PVDF nanofibers containing ZnO and to 78% in PVDF nanocomposite fibers containing both ZnO and AgNW. The textile sensor's output voltage values varied with joint-bending angle; upon increasing the joint angle from 45° to 90° to 150°, the Vp-p value increased from 0.321 Vp-p to 0.542 Vp-p to 0.660 Vp-p respectively. This suggests that the textile sensor can be used to detect and monitor body movements.

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 모니터를 시청하는 시청자의 위치를 추적한 후 시청위치에 따라 다른 시점의 영상을 제공하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 센서들의 신호를 제어하는 CPU, 3개의 초음파센서, 1개의 PIR(Passive infrared radiation)센서, 센서별 신호를 분기해주는 PLD(programmable logic device)로 구성되어 있다. 3개의 초음파 센서를 이용해 20개의 탐색구역 내에 있는 시청자의 정확한 위치를 추적한다. 시스템을 구현한 결과 전방 5m, 좌우 3m의 탐색범위 내에서 시청자의 위치를 정확히 추적하여 해당 시점의 영상을 디스플레이 하였다.

  • 본 논문은 DC모터와 Bluetooth모듈을 통해 직접 조종하여 움직이는 알람시계 형태로 로봇을 제작하여 단순한 알람시계가 아닌 재미와 편의를 제공하는 알람시계 로봇을 제안한다. Arduino Uno 보드(ATmega328 기반의 마이크로컨트롤러 보드)와 DC모터를 이용한 로봇 본체, 스마트폰과 통신하는 bluetooth모듈, 로봇을 작동하는 어플리케이션 등으로 구성된다. 알람이 작동되면서 랜덤하게 움직이는 로봇은 블루투스 통신으로 제어가 되고 사용자의 조종에 따라 움직인다. 로봇은 스마트폰과 블루투스 통신을 통해 받은 데이터로 조종되어 지정된 도착장소로 움직일 수 있다. 이러한 로봇을 제작하여 실생활에 상용화 가능하게 만들어 또 하나의 아이디어 알람시계가 되고자 하는 목표를 가진다.

  • All around tile world there has been great human and economical damage continuously by disasters like the earthquakes and storms(Tsunami) in eastern asia which recently occurred, and like the New Orleams hurricane in USA. The situation is our countries damage from natural disasters due to heavy snow, storms, forest fires have been increasing In this research we obtained GSIS data of the 05' Yang-yang forest fire disaster area using multi-sensors like airborne laser data, GPS/INS, aerial photograph surveying. In result we produced digital topographical maps, digital elevation models, digital external models, digital images, infrared images. By, analyzing and comparing with past aerial photography we obtained the exact damage area, amount of damage, estimated tile areas where a landslide might occur, and we analyzed vegetations amount of damage and possibility of recovery.

  • The pyroelectric sensor of P(VDF/TrFE) film as sensing materials has been fabricated and evaluated with another commercial pyroelectric sensor using ceramic materials for sensing, The device was mounted in TO-5 housing to detect infrared light of a 5.5~14 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ wavelength. The NEP(noise equivalent power) and specific detectivity D* of the device were 2.13$\times$10$^{-8}$ W and 9.37 10$^{6}$ cm/W under emission energy of 13 ㎼/$\textrm{cm}^2$, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose a new driving mode control algorithm for a mobile robot based on obstacle detection. The robot has a variable geometry single-tracked mechanism, so it can maximize a contact length with ground for the adaptability to off-road and puesue a stable system due to the lower center of gravity. However this robot system embodied passive type according to operator. In this reason, several problems are detected. So, this research presents a new method of obstacle detection using PSD infrared sensors and translates the variable tracks on the best suited driving mode actively. And experimental results about mentioned are presented.

  • In this paper we present the multi-agent robot system developed for participating in micro robot soccer tournament. The multi-agent robot system consists of micro robot, a vision system, a host computer and a communication module. Mcro robot are equipped with two mini DC motors with encoders and gearboxes, a R/F receiver, a CPU and infrared sensors for obstacle detection. A vision system is used to recognize the position of the ball and opponent robots, position and orientation of our robots. The vision system is composed of a color CCD camera and a vision processing unit. Host computer is a Pentium PC, and it receives information from the vision system, generates commands for each robot using a robot management algorithm and transmits commands to the robots by the R/F communication module. And in order to achieve a given mission in micro robot soccer game, cooperative behaviors by robots are essential. Cooperative work between individual agents is achieved by the command of host computer.

  • A free piston and free displacer(FPFD) Stirling cryocooler for cooling infrared and cryo-sensors is currently under development at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials). The FPFD Stirling cryocooler employs 1) the Stirling cycle for refrigeration, 2) linear motors for driving the cryocooler, 3) spring and gas support systems, and 4) fine gap for clearance seals. It is the most suitable design for a mechanical cryocooler utilized in night vision environment. The experimental results show KIMM-E1 Stirling cryocooler (with expander manufactured by KIMM) has the higher cooling power and faster response time at optimum charging pressure.

  • Cell type packaging line is more suitable for the products with various models and small quantities like mobile phone or mp3 player than conveyor type packaging line. Cell type packaging line is applicable to package various product models, but it can cause wrong product compositions and missing of items. So, automatic missing item detection system is needed. We designed an missing item detection system with a bar code reader, infrared sensors, and s digital camera. and also developed the programs for sensor data acquisition, image data processing, GUI, and data management.

  • This paper is willing to propose a method of wall tracing, a moving algorithm between two points, when a Cleaning robot between two points moves. We use the information about obstacles and wall side in calculating different weight vector the each infrared sensors in cleaning robot. Therefore the cleaning robot navigates the wall. In the algorithm of wall tracing, the value of error in angle and distance between starting point and ending point should be zero to navigate the wall safely. The propriety of algorithm of the wall tracing is simulated as this method by using Visual C++. The result simulated proved to the simulation.
