  • In this paper, we propose a web-based content syndication system in which users can easily choose Internet protocol television (IPTV) contents. This system generates personalized content guide to provide a list of IPTV contents with respect to users' interests and statistics information of their online social community. For this, IPTV contents and relevant metadata are collected from various sources and transformed. Then, the service and content metadata are processed by user metadata including audience measurement and community metadata. The metadata flows are separated from content flows of transport network. The implementation of IPTV content syndication system demonstrates how to arrange IPTV contents efficiently from content providers to the end user's screen. We also show that the user metadata including online community information are important for the system's performance and the user's satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine to what extent the context in which people interact with online information affects people's credibility perceptions. In this study, credibility assessment is defined as perceptions of credibility relying on individuals' expertise and knowledge. Context has been characterized with respect to three aspects: Context as user goals and intentions, context as topicality of information, and context as information activities. The data were collected from two empirical studies. Study 1 was a diary study in which 333 residents in Michigan, U.S.A. submitted 2,471 diary entries to report their trust perceptions associated with ten different user goals and nine different intentions. Study 2 was a lab-based study in which 64 subjects participated in performing four search tasks in two different information activity conditions - information search or content creation. There are three major findings of this study: (1) Score-based trust perceptions provided limited views of people's credibility perceptions because respondents tended to score trust ratings consistently high across various user goals and intentions; (2) The topicality of information mattered more when study subjects assessed the credibility of user generated content (UGC) than with traditional media content (TMC); (3) Subjects of this study exerted more effort into making credibility judgments when they engaged in searching activities than in content creation. These findings indicate that credibility assessment can or should be seen as a process-oriented notion incorporating various information use contexts beyond simple rating-based evaluation. The theoretical contributions for information scientists and practical implications for web designers are also discussed.

  • This study adopts organismic integration theory (OIT) to classify and contrast the predominant roles of five motivations (i.e., economic incentives, self-presentation, information acquisition, altruism, and enjoyment) in fostering three levels of behavioral engagement on brand-related social media content. This study further examines the moderating effect of personality (thinkers vs. feelers) on these relationships. The results of PLS-SEM reveal the greater impact of autonomous motivations on content consumption (enjoyment and information acquisition) and content contribution and creation (altruism and information acquisition), compared with controlled motivations (self-presentation and economic incentives). This study also finds that thinkers mostly engage on brand-related content for information acquisition and economic incentives, whereas feelers are mostly driven by enjoyment for content consumption and by altruism for content contribution and creation. This study addresses the inconsistency in prior research findings and provides practical implications to social media marketers.

  • Enterprise Content Integration (ECI)is an IT strategy that improves enterprise' competitive advantages by integrating enterprise wide information and content into a unified view, which in turn supports efficient and effective decision making. Content Syndication Systems (CSS) is a solution that implements the ECI strategy. In semi-conductor industries, it is usual that enterprise content is scattered over tens of legacy systems. Therefore, engineers in semi-conductor companies spend a few hours to locate required engineering information on a daily basis as part of their jobs. In this paper, we develop an enterprise CSS system that integrates enterprise wide contents into a unified view that is suitable for semi-conductor industries. For this research, we first define enterprise CSS, then identify their systems requirements. Then we propose an architecture supporting the identified requirements, and present the implemented prototype. One of the most important requirements is the individualized subscription rule setting for engineering information. For this purpose, we developed methods to represent the information properties and subscription rules.

  • Fog radio access network (F-RAN) architectures provide markedly improved performance compared to conventional approaches. In this paper, an efficient genetic algorithm-based content distribution scheme is proposed that improves the throughput and reduces the transmission delay of a F-RAN. First, an F-RAN system model is presented that includes a certain number of randomly distributed fog access points (F-APs) that cache popular content from cloud and other sources. Second, the problem of efficient content distribution in F-RANs is described. Third, the details of the proposed optimal genetic algorithm-based content distribution scheme are presented. Finally, simulation results are presented that show the performance of the proposed algorithm rapidly approaches the optimal throughput. When compared with the performance of existing random and exhaustive algorithms, that of the proposed method is demonstrably superior.

  • Purpose - This study aims to examine the incremental information content of cash flw from operations and earnings in the Iranian capital market. Design, methodology, and approach - Based on market-based accounting research, this study uses statistical associations between accounting data (earnings and cash flw) and stock returns to assess/measure the incremental information content (value relevance) of cash flw and earnings. A multivariate regression model based on panel data is used to examine the incremental information content of earnings and cash flow from operations. Results - The results show that both earnings and cash flow from operations have incremental information content beyond each other. These results are consistent with the findings of recent studies. Overall, the fidings of this study support the usefulness of cash flw information in addition to earnings, in fim valuation by investors in the Iranian market. Conclusions - The study makes the following contributions to the Iranian literature on incremental information content of cash flw and earnings. First, this study employs actual cash flw data derived from cash flw statements. Second, this study employs a large sample size for a more recent period.

  • It has emerged Food-content among various forms of 1-person media through social media. Food-content influencer also market products through 1-person media, generating revenue through increased views and subscribers of 1-person media. It also sells products through sponsorship. In general, there is a profit structure through 1-person media viewing, but research on how restaurant companies generate profits directly through food-content is insufficient. In addition, research on converting subscribers to consumers through food-contents is minimal. In this paper, we propose an experiential application system based on the behavior of food-content creators. The proposed system collects and categorizes food-content information, and maps between highly related words to organize into keyword categories. The ontology tag-based concept network applied to the proposed system connects representative information by pre-extracting/mapping information related to information requests among a wide range of data. This method maps relevant food-content information to provide the user with data collected/storage in the form of an application. The user uses the application while watching the food eaten by the influencer and creator. And, it is meaningful that the user could be provided is provided with information about the food they want to eat.

  • The single-sourcing of content is extremely beneficial because when we are managing several projects with hundreds or thousands of documentation, we don't want to be changing the same content, or substantially similar content in multiple locations. The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) is an XML-based architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering technical documents. It consists of a set of design principles for creating Information -typed topic modules and for using that content in various ways. In this paper, we examine the approach of using The Darwin Information Typing Architecture for technical documents development to enhance the reuse of existing content components for difference information products.

  • The increasing number of multimedia content offered to the user demands content recommendation. In this paper, we propose a system for recommending content related to the content that user is watching. In the proposed system, relationship information between content is generated using relationship information between representative keywords of content. Relationship information between keywords is generated by analyzing keyword collocation frequencies in Internet news corpus. In order to handle big corpus data, we design an architecture that consists of a distributed search engine and a distributed data processing engine. Furthermore, we store relationship information between keywords and relationship information between keywords and content in NoSQL to handle big relationship data. Because the query optimizer of NoSQL is not as well developed as RDBMS, we propose query optimization techniques to efficiently process complex queries for recommendation. Experimental results show that the performance is improved by up to 69 times by using the proposed techniques, especially when the number of requested related keywords is small.

  • Based on the information framework and regulatory focus theory, this paper verifies the impact on the advertising effect when the matching effect forms between the video advertising content type (Information Type, Entertainment Type) and the information framework (Promotional, Prevention) and the regulatory focus (Promotion Orientation, Prevention Orientation) in social media. In order to verify, after selecting of the experimental subjects and finishing the prior investigation of the experimental operation, four video advertisements and formal experiments were performed. The experimental results showed that first, the content type affects the advertising effect of the video and the information framework; when the information video matches the preventive information framework, it will have a more obvious positive effect on the advertising effect; when the entertainment video matches the promotion information framework, it will have a more obvious positive effect on the advertising effect. Second, with the two matches of video content type and information framework, the entertainment-oriented video has a more obvious positive effect for the information-oriented video audience; the above results enrich user created content research and improve the quality and communication efficiency of video in social media.
