Objectives : KIOM(Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine) built up korean medical paper database and services it through information portal OASIS. The database are updated about 1,600 papers and 48,000 references annually. Because lots of manpower and time are needed to update database, it is very important to raise up efficiency and quality of it. Methods : In this paper, we implemented web based database building system utilizing pre-built OASIS' database to improve the working process, data quality and ease of management. Results : First we designed and implemented web based system to input bibliography of the paper efficiently. It raised efficiency using OASIS' paper and reference database. Second we improved the refining process using web based system to raise up data quality. And third we developed the manager functions of web based system to control and check the working process. Conclusions : If we add korean medical dictionary and link outside paper database in the future, we hope that work efficiency and data quality will be raised more. And because the database schema of OASIS system and developed system are different, we are implementing the data transformation system.

In cancer genome studies, the annotation of newly detected oncogene/tumor suppressor gene candidates is a challenging process. We propose using concept lattice analysis for the annotation and interpretation of genes having candidate somatic mutations in whole-exome sequencing in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We selected 45 highly mutated genes with whole-exome sequencing in 10 normal matched samples of the AML-M2 subtype. To evaluate these genes, we performed concept lattice analysis and annotated these genes with existing knowledge databases.

Purpose: The aim of the study was to identify nursing informatics competencies of nurses working for public health centers in Chungcheongnam-do. Methods: Data were collected from June 10 to July 25, 2012 using the Nursing Informatics Competencies Questionnaire (NICQ). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, $x^2$-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: Nursing informatics competencies of the subjects showed a mean score of $3.3{\pm}1.0$ out of 5. As for scores of individual categories, the score for computer skills competencies was $3.3{\pm}1.0$, informatics knowledge competencies $3.4{\pm}0.9$, and informatics skills competencies $3.0{\pm}0.9$. Nursing informatics competencies were positively correlated with the subjects' ages (r=.65, p<.001), computer usage hours (r=.23, p = .015), levels of demand for informatics knowledge (r=.51, p<.001), and informatics skills education (r=.78, p<.001). Conclusion: Nursing informatics is required to be connected with job training or in-service education on account of its growing necessity for public health nurses. It is also essential to develop programs for strengthening informatics competencies reflecting sub-categories of educational needs.

Sensor applications of thin-film transistors (TFTs), such as photosensor, magnetic sensor, temperature sensor and chemical sensor, are introduced. Active-matrix circuits and amplifying circuits using poly-Si TFTs are integrated with these sensors to improve sensor performances and generate additional functions. These sensors may be promising applications after flat-panel displays (FPDs) in giant-micro electronics.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the canonical correlation between organizational culture and nurses' informatics competency. Method: Participants in this study were 354 nurses from three hospitals and one university. The scales of organizational culture, informatics competency for nurses were used. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, canonical correlation were used for data analysis. Results: The dominant organizational culture was hierarch-oriented culture. Nursing informatics competency of the participants was relatively low with a mean score 3.04. Organizational culture was related to informatics competency with 2 significant canonical variables. The first variate showed the higher four subcategories of organizational culture showed the better nursing informatics. The second variate indicated that nurses felt higher innovation-related and lower hierarch-related culture showed higher medical informatics-related software usage and computer related information management, lower perception of informatics and information search using internet. Conclusion: Organization culture has a major of impact on the success of information system use. Therefore, the continuous strategy for higher innovation-related organizational culture such as management support should be needed.

The nursing informatics has been booming in Taiwan since 2003 when we started to use the end user computing strategy to promote it. We used Excel 2003, which was well known and used by our clinical nurses, as well as the embedded VBA to teach them how simple information applications could and should be built to meet their information management needs in order to support their professional responsibility. Many cost-effective projects were successfully done and the importance and potentials of nursing informatics started to be noticed. Our training strategy and materials are introduced in this paper.

Objectives: Hypertension is the highest ratio among chronic disease in Korea, and the western medical information about hypertension is provided by many web sites. Advanced researches about hypertension have been conducted in Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM) for decades, but the research results are not arranged. So the results have not been utilized in following research nor contributed to the expansion of public knowledge. Methods : We did this study to improve this situation. In this study, we built database about advanced research articles related hypertension in TKM and implemented TKM information system of hypertension. Results : First, we benchmarked hypertension information systems and designed the TKM information system based on the benchmarking results and comments from TKM doctors. And it was composed of introduce, treatment, and etc. Second, we built prescription, herb, acumoxa, qigong, prevention/management, and pill database which is about 600 data extracted from papers and books. Third, we implemented JAVA/JSP based web information system which provides the database. And we created links for the each papers and books to use more easily. Conclusions : If we provide the research results about TKM hypertension diagnosis and combinational medication of western and oriental medicine, this information system will be more useful. And if we add internal and external project report about hypertension, it will be more worthy.

세계적으로 정보교육의 중요성이 가속화됨에 따라 일본은 2020년부터 대학입시 제도에서 입시 과목으로 '정보' 교과의 반영을 고려하고 있다. 일본 정보입시연구회는 2013년도부터 대학입시 수준의 '정보' 전국모의 시험을 매년 실시하여 고등학생의 적절한 수준 및 변화 추이를 파악할 수 있는 데이터를 축적하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 일본에서 현재까지 시행된 전국모의시험과 동일한 문항을 한국 일반계 고등학생을 대상으로 실시하여 한국과 일본 고등학생의 수준을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 2015년 일본 대학입시 '정보' 전국모의시험을 한국과 일본 고등학생을 대상으로 실시하고 전체 평균 및 각 분야별 평균 비교 분석, 성별 분석을 통해 한국 일반계 고등학생의 수준을 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 통해 고등학교에서 정보교과가 사회에서 요구되는 능력을 담보할 수 있는 필수교과로 개설되고 대학입시 과목에 반영되는 등 향후 정보교육의 추진 방향을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
