조부모에 의한 비공식 자녀돌봄 및 지원이 기혼여성의 추가출산 계획에 미치는 영향: 패널분석 방법을 이용하여 (The effect of informal grandparent-provided child care and support on married women's additional birth plans: A panel data analysis)

  • This study examined the effects of informal grandparent-provided child care and support on married women's additional birth plans. This study applied panel data analysis to three waves of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Family (KLoWF) and obtained two major findings, as follows. First, having a mother-in-law and co-residing with parents-in-law had a positive influence on married working women's additional birth plans. Child care provision from the parents of a married working woman also positively influenced her additional birth plans. Second, the analysis showed that housework assistance from a woman's mother-in-law or mother had no effect on her birth plans in both models investigated: the additional birth plan model for all women, both employed and unemployed, and the additional birth plan model for only working women. In conclusion, the findings of this study demonstrated that child care availability, with grandparents as the trusted providers, is a more important factor in married women's additional birth plans than housework assistance from their mothers-in-law and mothers.

임상간호사의 파워와 임파워먼트가 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Clinical Nurses' Power and Empowerment on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to analyze effects of the power and empowerment on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This study was based on the Kanter's theory of organizational empowerment. Method: A predictive, non-experimental design was used to test the model in a sample of 688 nurses working in 7 university hospitals that have over 500 beds in Seoul, Kyunggi and Kangwon provinces. The data were collected from December, 2003 to January, 2004. It was analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation of SPSS and with path analysis of LISREL. Result: The formal and informal power had direct effects on empowerment. Formal power also had direct effects on informal power. Empowerment had direct effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Organizational commitment had direct effects on job satisfaction. There was positive effects in all of the variables. Conclusion: The positive changes show on personal behaviors and attitudes when the nurses who have formal and informal power are empowered. These findings would be important resource to nurse administrators for clinical implication.

사회복지조직의 특성과 네트워크 수준이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향 -여성복지조직의 자원확보능력을 중심으로- (The effects of the organizational characteristics and interorganizational network level on social welfare organizations' effectiveness -Focused on resource capability of women's welfare organization-)

  • 본 연구에서는 사회복지조직의 특성과 네트워크 수준이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향을 구조방정식 모형으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해, 체계자원접근법에 따라 조직효과성을 재정, 인적, 물적 자원확보능력으로 정의하고, 조직 특성과 네트워크 수준이 각각에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 조직 특성에는 전문인력수, 자원의존도, 정부보조금비율, 활동지향점, 설립기간, 최고관리자 개방의지, 비공식적 인맥이 포함되었고, 네트워크 수준은 외향연결중심성과 내향연결중심성으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 서울 지역 여성복지조직을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 재정자원확보능력에는 전문인력수와 정부보조금비율, 내향연결중심성이, 인적자원확보능력에는 내향연결중심성이, 물적자원확보능력에는 전문인력수, 최고관리자 개방의지, 비공식적 인맥이 유의미한 요인으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로, 각 유형별 자원확보능력을 증진하는 방안과 내향연결중심성 향상을 통해 사회복지조직의 조직효과성을 고취하는 방안이 논의되었다.

근로자들의 근무유연성에 대한 요구 분석 - 한 가족친화인증기업 근로자들의 사례 - (A Case Study on the Family-Friendly Firm Workers' Flexibility Needs)

  • This qualitative case study focused on the workers' flexibility needs. We selected eight full-time workers from one 2009 family friendly certified firm for observation and in-depth interview. The workers are categorized into three groups; male employees with housewives, double income family workers depending on extended family, and double income family workers depending on paid babysitter. The spouse's work status and informal extended familial support to child care were crucial factors to influence their work family life styles and flexibility needs. The flex time is the most desirable everyday needs for the dual working child caring parents depending on the paid help. And the female workers' concerned about the stigma effect of the institutionalized flexibility use of the inferior labors.

노인의 사회적 지지와 차별경험이 사기(morale)에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Social Support, Discrimination on the Eldely Morale)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine the impact of increasing morale on social support and discrimination. The relationship between discrimination and social support and their influences on the morale of the elderly was investigated, with the goal of raising morale in the elderly. The data were collected from a sample of 574 elderly people in Daejeon Metro-City. Factors positively influencing the morale of the elderly were identified a shaving a partner, a high educational background, financial status, good health status, the presence of an informal support from friends and neighbors, and less feeling of discrimination. Based on these findings, implications for social welfare policy and future research are discussed.

외식서비스기업종사원의 경력정체가 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 조직경력개발지원의 조절효과 (Influence of the Career Plateau of Food Service Industry Employees on Their Turnover Intention: The Moderating Effect of Organizational Support)

  • 본 연구는 국내 외식서비스기업 종사원을 대상으로 개인이 지각하는 경력정체를 구조적 정체와 내용적 정체로 구분하여 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고 경력동기와 조직경력개발지원이 경력정체와 상호작용하면서 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 총 350명의 외식서비스기업종사자들의 설문조사를 실시하였고, 최종 255명의 자료를 분석에 활용하여 연구가설을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 종업원이 지각하는 구조적 경력정체와 내용적 경력정체 모두 이직의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경력정체와 이직의도간 관계에서 공식적 지원과 비공식적 지원의 조절효과 검증결과, 비공식적 지원의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 본 연구를 통해서 외식서비스 기업 종사원이 지각하는 구조적, 내용적 경력정체는 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인이지만 기업의 비공식적 지원은 이직의도를 조절할 수 있으므로, 기업차원에서 조직 구성원의 이직의도를 줄이기 위해 이를 활용하는 방법을 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

Comparative Profitability of Women Dominated Fish-based Livelihood Activities in Southwest, Nigeria

  • Women are more disadvantaged than men in many fronts and this confines them to informal sector livelihood activities. Any attempt to improve women's economic status will require information on the organization, cost and returns to investment in the livelihood activities in which they predominate. This is the issue for this study which compared yield performance in artisanal fishing and fresh fish marketing. Primary data collected through multi-stage sampling method were analyzed using inferential statistics, budgeting and regression models. Empirical findings revealed that about 75.0% of fisher folks either had no formal education or acquired only primary school education while 50.0% of marketers had secondary school education. The budgeting model revealed fisher-folks' and marketers' annual net profit to be N2,882,626.00 and N640,227.00, respectively. Profit from fishing was significantly higher than that of fish marketing. At 53.2% for fishing and 40.3% for marketing, returns to investment was better in fishing. Regression model results showed the significant factors influencing returns to each livelihood strategy to include fishing ground, distance covered and years of experience. The major constraint faced by operators of both livelihoods groups was insufficient credit. Despite this, the livelihood strategies were shown to be profitable ventures which contributed to households' consumption expenditure. Organizing women informal sector operators into groups to enhance access to government support and formal credit are recommended for improving livelihood strategy performance.

웹 정보의 자동 의미연계를 통한 학술정보서비스의 확대 방안 연구 (A Exploratory Study on the Expansion of Academic Information Services Based on Automatic Semantic Linking Between Academic Web Resources and Information Services)

  • 이 연구에서는 KISTI NDSL의 학술논문 정보를 웹 학술자원과 연계하는 실험적 연구를 수행함으로써 KISTI의 정보 유통 서비스의 확대 가능성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 웹 학술자원을 수집하여 STEAK 시스템을 이용한 자동 의미 연계를 생성하고 이를 학술논문 검색결과와 결합하였다. 시스템의 검색 정확률을 평가한 결과 매크로 정확률은 62.6%, 마이크로 정확률은 66.9%를 보였으며, 자동연계 성능에 대한 전문가 평가는 76.7점을 보였다. 주제 범주별 전문가 평가는 본 연구를 통해 의미연계를 잘 수행하는 경우에 높게 측정되어 시스템적 성능과 동일한 경향을 보였다. 이 연구는 다양한 웹 학술자원의 서비스 연계를 위하여 논문정보로부터 생성한 언어자원을 의미색인에 사용한 것으로 이를 통해 지속적인 웹 자원의 학술적 활용에 대한 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다.

The Geriatric Care Workers' Role Care for Elderly of Sanatorium in Korea

  • This paper is to research the difference of care workers' role in Sanatorium between urban and rural areas. Interviews have been conducted with 100 care managers with structured questionnaires in community care settings. The findings of the study are as follows. In the analysis of working with carers a care manager acting as a counsellor in rural was required rather more than any other role in working with clients' carers. In working with formal and informal networks, an administrative specialist role was also important in both areas. With resource management, there were some regional variances between rural and urban. In the urban area, a care managers as a coordinator was more required than as a broker. In the rural area, a care manager as a broker, selecting service resources for elderly clients was the most suitable role. In conclusion, in general rural care managers' roles were similar to those of many core managers in urban area. Among the many possible roles of care managers that effective continuity of care is to be provided for elderly clients in community care, two have been specified as essential roles. The first is the role of care managers that provides coordination and integration of services at the clients' levels as a care manager as an implementer, a linkman, counsellor. The second is at the system level which is possible role for coordination and linkage of programs as a characteristics of care managers, task with formal & informal network, community resources, available residential & NHS resourcesw.
