  • This thesis investigates influential attributes in clothing purchase through the examination of questionnaire concerning consumer satisfaction at the point of purchase, and clarifies the relationship between consumer satisfaction at the point of purchase and that in wearing. The results are as follows; 1. At interest stage, color, beauty, becomingness and suitability to occasion are influential (in this order): at trial stage, becomingess, color, others' reaction and fit: at adaption stage, color, becomingness, beauty, fit. 2. According to canonical analysis, consumer satisfaction at the point of purchase and that in wearing are closely related. (RCI = .97) It suggests that satisfaction in wearing depends largely on satisfaction at the point of purchase. 3. General satisfaction in wearing is closely related with such factors as predictive expecta-tion, satisfaction at the point of purchase, predictive disconfirmation, normative disconfirrna-tion, and product performance. According to repression results, those factors can explain $79\%$ of satisfaction ill wearing (R = .79). Above all, product performance and normative disconfirmation are highly influential.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the quality of recovery and influential factors on the quality of recovery after cardiac surgery. Methods: 198 patients undergone cardiac surgery were asked to fill in a self-reported questionnaire about the quality of recovery, anxiety, depression including social support at discharge. The collected data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, correlation and stepwised multiple regression. Results: The mean scores of quality of recovery at discharge after cardiac surgery was 2.04 on a 3 point scale. Influential factors on the quality of recovery after cardiac surgery were depression(p=.001) and anxiety(p=.027), which disclosed 44.2% of explanation. Depression was the most influential factor. Conclusion: The influential factors on the quality of recovery at discharge after cardiac surgery were depression and anxiety. More studies will be required to reduce depression and anxiety in patients undergone cardiac surgery.

  • In this paper, we discuss and review various measures which have been presented for studying outliers. high-leverage points, and influential observations when principal component regression is adopted. We suggest several diagnostics measures when principal component regression is used. A numerical example is illustrated. Some individual data points may be flagged as outliers, high-leverage point, or influential points.

  • Recently, a lot of users are using social network services as the spread of SNS and generalization of smart-phone. In this study, we apply clustering and ranking method for finding twitter influential users. First, we propose five ranking elements. The five elements include the number of follow, the number of retweet, IRP, IFP and influ-score. These elements are used by centroid point of clustering methods. This study can help to find novel approaches for finding twitter influential users.

  • This paper suggests a new diagnostic measure and a stopping rule for detecting influential observations in multiple discriminant analysis (MDA). It is developed from a Bayesian point of view using a default Bayes factor obtained from the fractional Bayes factor methodology. The Bayes factor is taken as a discriminatory information in MDA. It is shown that the effect of an observation over the discriminatory information is fully explained by the diagnostic measure. Based on the measure, we suggest a stopping rule for detecting influential observations in a given training sample. As a tool for interpreting the measure a graphical method is sued. Performance of the method is used. Performance of the method is examined through two illustrative examples.

  • This paper suggests a new diagnostic measure for detecting influential observations in two group linear discriminant analysis(LDA). It is developed from an information theoretic point of view using the minimum discrimination information(MDI) methodology. MDI estimator of symmetric divergence by Kullback(l967) is taken as a measure of the power of discrimination in LDA. It is shown that the effect of an observation over the power of discrimination is fully explained by the diagnostic measure. Asymptotic distribution of the proposed measure is derived as a function of independent chi-squared and standard normal variables. By means of the distributions, a couple of methods are suggested for detecting the influential observations in LDA. Performance of the suggested methods are examined through a simulation study.

  • Similar to regression, many measures to detect influential data points in discriminant analysis have been developed. Many follow similar principles as the diagnostic measures used in linear regression in the context of discriminant analysis. Here we focus on the impact on the predicted classification posterior probability when a data point is omitted. The new method is intuitive and easily interpretable compared to existing methods. We also propose a graphical display to show the individual movement of the posterior probability of other data points when a specific data point is omitted. This enables the summaries to capture the overall pattern of the change.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine university students' consumption-orientation and attitude toward conspicuous consumption as well as to identify the factors that are most influential on consumption-orientation and conspicuous consumption behavior. The major findings of this study are summarized below. First, the average scores of consumption-orientation and conspicuous consumption were 2.71 and 3.15 respectively, on a 5 point scale. Second, the most influential factor on university students' consumption-orientation was friends' influence. Third, the most influential factor on conspicuous consumption was students' perceived social status. Fourth, conspicuous consumption tendency and consumption-orientation were significantly higher for those students with larger amount of allowances, female students, or the students who are working. Fifth, the university students' consumption-orientation and conspicuous consumption tendency were significantly higher for the students whose parents' child-rearing style is inconsistent or excessive investment. Finally, the consumption orientation has a significant positive relationship with conspicuous consumption.

  • This paper suggests a new diagnostic measure for detecting influential observations in linear discriminant analysis (LDA). It is developed from a Bayesian point of view using a default Bayes factor obtained from the imaginary training sample methodology. The Bayes factor is taken as a criterion for testing homogeneity of covariance matrices in LDA model. It is noted that the effect of an observation over the criterion is fully explained by the diagnostic measure. We suggest a graphical method that can be taken as a tool for interpreting the diagnostic measure and detecting influential observations. Performance of the measure is examined through an illustrative example.

  • This study identifies influential factors for invigorating the public management office (PMO) system for system integration (SI) projects in public sectors and analyzes the priority of each factor from the point of different stakeholders, i.e., owners, SI company, and PMO. Based on the literature review, four first-level influential factors are identified: legal system maintenance, owner's capability, SI company's capability, and PMO's capability. Among them, the PMO's capability is determined as the most critical factor by all the stakeholders. Among the second-level influential factors, the capabilities of professional engineers and project managers are considered as important among the PMO's capability, whereas the reasonable consulting fee is considered as the most critical factor among the legal system maintenance. With respect to each stakeholder, project management capability is considered as the most important factor for owners, while the reasonable consulting fee is considered as the most important factor for PMO.
