A natural or an artificial harbor can exhibit frequency(or period) dependent water surface oscillations when excited by incident waves. Such oscillations in harbors can cause significant damage to moored ships and adjacent structures. This can also induce undesirable current in harbors. Many previous investigators have studied various aspects of harbor resonance problem. In the percent paper, both a localizes finite element method(LFEM) which is based on the functional constructed by Chen & Mei(1974) and Bai & Yeung(1974) and an integral equation method which was used by Lee(1969) are applied to harbor resonance problem. The present method(LFEM) shows computationally more efficient than the integral equation method. Our test results shows good agreement compared with other results. This enhanced computational efficiency is due to the fact that the present method gives a banded symmetric coefficients matrix and requires much less computational time in the calculation of the influence coefficients matrix than the integral equation method involved with Green's function. To test the present numerical scheme, two models are treated here. The present method(LFEM) can be extended to a fully three dimensional harbor problem with the similar computational advantage.
Apparent diffusion coefficients of Cl- ions through hardened cement pastes(HCP), which were partly subs¬tituted blast furnace slag, fly ash and silicafume for ordinary Portland cement, were determined. Also. Cl- and OW concentration of pore solutions which were extracted from HCP and the capacities of the HCP to bind CI were determined.
Diffusion coefficients of Cl- ions through HCP were increased with water cement ratio(WfC), but decreased with addition of the blending materials. On the contrary, Cl- and OH concentration of the pore solutions were reduced by adding the blending materials.
Steel tubular towers are commonly used in UHV and long crossing transmission lines. By considering effects of the model scale, the solidity ratio and the ratio of the mean width to the mean height, wind tunnel tests under different wind speeds on twenty tubular steel tower body models and twenty-six tubular steel cross-arm models were completed. Drag coefficients and shielding factors of the experimental tower body models and cross-arm models in wind directional axis for typical skewed angles were obtained. The influence of the lift forces on the skewed wind load factors of tubular steel tower bodies was evaluated. The skewed wind load factors, the wind load distribution factors in transversal and longitudinal direction were calculated for the tubular tower body models and cross-arm models, respectively. Fitting expressions for the skewed wind load factors of tubular steel bodies and cross-arms were determined through nonlinear fitting analysis. Parameters for skewed wind loads determined by wind tunnel tests were compared with the regulations in applicable standards. Suggestions on the drag coefficients, the skewed wind load factors and the wind load distribution factors were proposed for tubular steel transmission towers.

In this study, the characteristics of wind pressure distribution on circular retractable dome roofs with a low rise-to-span ratio were analyzed under various approaching flow conditions by obtaining and analyzing wind pressures under three different turbulent boundary layers. Compared to the results of previous studies with a rise-to-span ratio of 0.1, it was confirmed that a lower rise-to-span ratio increases the reattachment length of the separated approaching flow, thereby increasing the influence of negative pressure. Additionally, it was found that wind pressures varied significantly according to the characteristics of the turbulence intensity. Based on these experimental results, a model for peak net pressure coefficients for cladding design was proposed, considering variations in turbulence intensity and height.

The XP-SWMM model, widely used for inundation analysis of urban watersheds, underestimated the inundation area (range) because the manhole was regarded as a node and the influence of the local loss occurring in the surcharged manhole can not be considered. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the applicability of the head loss coefficients considering the local loss in the surcharged manholes in inundation analysis using XP-SWMM. The Dorim 1 drainage section of the Dorim-river watershed, where frequent domestic flood damage occurred, was selected as the study watershed. The head loss coefficients of the surcharged manholes estimated from the previous experimental studies were applied to the inundation analysis, and the changes of the inundation area with and without the application of the head loss coefficients with manhole types were compared and analyzed. As a result of inundation simulation with the application of head loss coefficients, the matching rates were increased by 17% in comparison with the without application of them. In addition, the simulated inundation area applied only the head loss coefficients of straight path manholes and applied up to the head loss coefficients of combining manholes ($90^{\circ}$ bend, 3-way, and 4-way) were similar. Therefore, in order to accurately simulate the storm drain system in urban areas, it could be to carry out two-dimensional inundation analysis considering the head loss coefficients at the surcharged manholes. It was expected that the study results will be utilized as basic data for establishing the identification of the inundation risk area.

Side-jets enable the immediate maneuver of a missile compared to control surfaces; however, they may cause adverse effects on aerodynamic coefficients, for they interfere with freestream. To find out the impact of side-jets on aerodynamic coefficients, we simulate side-jets as air gas and utilize multi-fidelity models to evaluate differences between aerodynamic coefficients obtained with and without side-jets. We computed differences in aerodynamic coefficients to investigate side-jet effects for the changes of a Mach number, a bank angle, and an angle of attack. As a result, asymmetrically developed side-jets affect the longitudinal force and moment coefficients, and the lateral force and moment coefficients drastically change in-between -30 and 30 degrees of bank angles. In contrast, side-jets hardly influence the axial force coefficients. As for the axial moment coefficient, we could not determine the side-jet effect due to a lack of aerodynamic coefficient samples in the Mach number. All in all, we confirm that side-jets lead to the change of a missile attitude as they considerably vary the longitudinal and lateral aerodynamic coefficients.
The fatalities of pedestrian account for about 40.0% of all fatalities in Korea 2005. Vehicle-Pedestrian accident generates trajectory of pedestrian. In pedestrian involved accident, the most important data to inspect accident is throw distance of pedestrian. The throw distance of pedestrian can be influenced by many variables. But existing studies have been done for simple factors. The variables that influence trajectory of pedestrian can be classified into vehicular factors, pedestrian factors, and road factors. The trajectory of pedestrian, dynamic characteristics of multi-body were analyzed by PC-CRASH, a kinetic analysis program for a traffic accident. PC-CRASH enables an analyst to investigate the effect of many variables. The influence of the offset of impact point was analyzed by Working Model. Based on the results, the variables that influence trajectory of pedestrian were vehicular frontal shape, vehicular impact speed, the offset of impact point, the height of pedestrian, friction coefficients of pedestrian. However the weight of pedestrian did not affect trajectory of pedestrian considerably.
This describes the formulation for the free vibration of joined conical-cylindrical shells with uniform thickness using the transfer of influence coefficient. This method was developed based on successive transmission of dynamic influence coefficients, which were defined as the relationships between the displacement and the force vectors at arbitrary nodal circles of the system. The two edges of the shell having arbitrary boundary conditions are supported by several elastic springs with meridional/axial, circumferential, radial and rotational stiffness, respectively. The governing equations of vibration of a conical shell, including a cylindrical shell, are written as a coupled set of first order differential equations by using the transfer matrix of the shell. Once the transfer matrix of a single component has been determined, the entire structure matrix is obtained by the product of each component matrix and the joining matrix. The natural frequencies and the modes of vibration were calculated numerically for joined conical-cylindrical shells. The validity of the present method is demonstrated through simple numerical examples, and through comparison with the results of previous researchers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors which influence the management of MultiDrug -Resistant Organisms (MDROs) by nurses in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Methods: Data were collected from December 8 to 20, 2013 and participants were 163 ICU nurses working in one general hospital. The Health Belief Model tool and knowledge and management of MDROs infection tools were used in the study. Descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variances, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Results: Knowledge, perceived susceptibility, and perceived benefits had a significant influence on MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus,) and MDRAB (Multidrug Resistant Acinetobacter Baumannii) infection management when all the other variables were considered. Significant variable which had influence on VRE (Vancomycin Resistant Eenterococci) infection management were perceived susceptibility and perceived benefits. Conclusion: Perceived susceptibility and perceived benefits had significant influence on MDROs infection management. Emphasis needs to be on the perceived susceptibility and perceived benefits of MDROs infection management when providing an educational program for ICU nurses.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of threat perception and psychological reactance to graphic health warnings on cigarette packages on intention to quit smoking among smoking adolescents. Methods: The participants were 185 smoking adolescents attending two industrial specialized high schools, who had witnessed graphic health warnings on cigarette packages within the previous 30 days. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN Ver. 25.0. Results: The results showed that participant threat perception (𝛽=.14, p=.037) after witnessing a cigarette warning message had a positive influence on intention to quit smoking. On the other hand, psychological reactance (𝛽=-.23, p=.001) showed a negative influence on intention to quit smoking. Conclusion: When designing and developing a message for smoking adolescents, customized messages are required to reflect teenagers' characteristics and raise threat perception and lower psychological reactance. In addition, we propose a future study be conducted to determine the influences of various psychological determinants, including self-efficacy and skills, on threat perception and psychological reactance to graphic health warnings on cigarette packages among smoking adolescents.
