This paper analyzed the voltage induction phenomena on the telecommunication lines by electromagnetic coupling from high-speed A.C. electrified railway. The induced common mode voltages and the induced differential mode voltage on the telecommunication line was measured by notified standard method in the regulation of Korea. The test lines consist of 2 separated lines of 20 m and 300 m in influence distance each for comparison, with 2km inducing length. The analysis is made on the induced voltages from the different influence distances and the different earthing points, and also on the waveform and spectrum distributions. It is proved that the induction is arisen so good and the measured values are fair enough against noise such as the earth voltage differencing, and the current measuring scheme is also rightful.

In this paper, the results of underwater vibration experiment are analyzed to verify platform vibration-induced noise isolation characteristics of a hull-mounted acoustic sensor. The experimental condition causing platform vibration-induced noise is generated using the mock-up hull, where the acoustic sensor is installed, with shaker in an acoustic water tank. The performance indices of ATF (Acceleration Transfer Function), AVS (Acceleration Voltage Sensitivity), and IL (Insertion Loss) for the acoustic sensor are calculated from the output of the standard accelerometers, which are installed on the mock-up hull and the acoustic sensor, and the output signal of the acoustic sensor. The frequency-dependent noise isolation characteristics of the acoustic sensor are analyzed based on the calculated performance indices and an effectiveness of the experiment is examined.

Cellulose based electro-active paper(EAPap) is considered as a new smart material which has a potential to be used for biomimetic actuators and sensors. Beside of the natural abundance, cellulose EAPap is fascinating with its biodegradability, lightweight, high mechanical strength and low actuation voltage. When the external stress is applied to EAPap, it can generate the electrical output due to its piezoelectric property. Using piezoelectric behavior of EAPap, we studied the feasibility of EAPap as mechanical strain sensor applications and compared to commercial strain sensor. By measuring the induced output voltage from the thin piezoelectric cellulose EAPap under static and dynamic force, we propose cellulose EAPap film as a potential strain sensor material.
This paper describes the optimal design, construction and performance evaluation of voltage divider used in high power testing laboratory for voltage measuring system. These dividers, which are of R, C, R&C type voltage dividers, the voltage to be measured range from voltage to several ten kilovolts, the frequency of the signals has a bandwidth from DC to megaHertz Measuring transient voltage and currents in the high voltage power laboratory is generally accompanied by electromagnetic interface and induced noise. above all, the measuring capabilities of voltage measuring system are dependent upon short response time and it must be as free as possible of inductive effects. In this paper presents both characteristic of voltage divider and design of voltage measuring system.

This study focused on investigating the effect of aligned cellulose fibers to the performance of EAPap actuator. The performance of EAPap is dependant on the material direction of cellulose film. Electrospinning was used to improve material directionality of EAPap. DMAc cellulose solution which cotton pulp was resolved in DMAc solvent was used for electrospinning cellulose film. To increase directionality of nano fibers, the Electrospun film was stretched by 10 % strain during drying process. Induced in-plane strain of Electrospun EAPap was proportional to the applied voltage and larger than that of spincast EAPap. It is concluded that the performance of EAPap was improved by aligning cellulose fibers.
In this paper, we propose two LC voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) that improve both phase noise and tuning range. With both 1/f induced low-frequency noise and low-frequency thermal noise around DC or around harmonics suppressed significantly by the employment of a current-current negative feedback (CCNF) loop, the phase noise in the CCNF LC VCO has been improved by about 10 dB at 6 MHz offset compared to the conventional LC VCO. The phase noise of the CCNF VCO was measured as -112 dBc/Hz at 6 MHz offset from 5.5 GHz carrier frequency. Also, we present a bandwidth-enhanced LC VCO whose tuning range has been increased about 250 % by connecting the varactor to the bases of the cross-coupled pair. The phase noise of the bandwidth-enhanced LC-tank VCO has been improved by about 6 dB at 6 MHz offset compared to the conventional LC VCO. The phase noise reduction has been achieved because the DC-decoupling capacitor Cc prevents the output common-mode level from modulating the varactor bias point, and the signal power increases in the LC-tank resonator. The bandwidth-enhanced LC VCO represents a 12 % bandwidth and phase noise of -108 dBc/Hz at 6 MHz offset.
The ferritic 2.25CrMo steel has been used for high temperature structure applications such as turbine rotors, boilers and pressure vessels in fossil plant and petroleum chemical facilities. However, this steel is known to result in aging degradation due to temper embrittlement, carbide induced brittleness and softening of matrix after long time exposure to high temperature. This research investigated the microstructural and mechanical changes after artificial degradation treatment and evaluated the degree of degradation by several nondestructive methods. The decrease of electrical resistivity and increase of magnetic Barkhausen noise(RMS voltage) with increasing aging time were observed. The change of electrical resistivity and Barkhausen noise showed a good correlation with the ductile-brittle transition temperature.
The 3 MeV proton irradiation effects on SiGe low noise amplifier (LNA) (NXP BGU7005) performance under different voltage supply VCC (0 V, 2.5 V) conditions were firstly experimental studied in this present work. The S parameters including S11, S22, S21, 1 dB compression point and noise figure (NF) of the test samples under different bias voltage supply were measured and compared before and after 3 MeV proton irradiation. The total proton irradiation fluence was 1 × 1015 protons/cm2. The maximum degradation quantities of the gain S21 and NF of the test samples under zero bias are measured respectively 1.6 dB and 1.2 dB. Compared with the samples under 2.5 V bias supply, the maximum degradation of S21 and NF are respectively 1.1 dB and 0.8 dB in the whole frequency band. It is noteworthy that the gain and NF of SiGe LNAs under zero-bias mode suffer enhanced degradation compared with those under normal bias supply. The key influence factors are discussed based on the correlation of the SiGe device and the LNA circuit. Different process of the ionization damage and displacement damage under zero-bias and 2.5 V bias voltage supply contributed to the degradation difference. The underlying physical mechanisms are analyzed and investigated.

This paper present as experimental demonstratio of DSP and a sensory actuator that is used to actively control sound transmission/radiation through a vibrating plate. A plane acoustic wave incident on a clamped, thin circular plate was used as a noise source, and a sensory actuator bounded to the plate was used to control and sense vibration of the plate. The sound transmission reduction problem was tranformed as a structural vibration control problem that actively control the structural vibration modes coupled to acoustic modes. The results show that the first structural vibration mode is controlled with a reduction of 78 percent in the displacement and velocity of the plate. This corresponds to a 13dB reduction in the acoustic response. These experimental results indicate that a sensory actuator bounded to the plate can be employed to attenuate the sound transmitted to radiated from the plate.

In relation to a non-destructive evaluation of irradiation damage of micro-structure of interstitial, void and dislocation, the changes in the hysteresis loop and Barkhausen noise amplitude and the harmonics frequency due to neutron irradiation were measured and evaluated. The Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel of reactor pressure vessel was irradiated to a neutron fluence of $2.3\times10^{19}n/cm^2$$(E\ge1MeV)$ at $288^{\circ}C.$The saturation magnetization of neutron irradiated metal did not change. Neutron irradiation caused the coercivity to increase, whereas susceptibility to decrease. The amplitude of Barkhausen noise parameters associated with the domain wall motion were decreased by neutron irradiation. The spectrum of Barkhausen noise was analyzed with an applied frequency of 4Hz and 8Hz, and a sampling time of 50 $\mu$ sec and 20 $\mu$ sec. The harmonic frequency of Joule effect shows 4Hz, 8Hz, 12Hz and 16Hz reflected from an unirradiated specimen. On the contrary, the harmonic frequency disappeared for the irradiated specimen. Harmonic frequency of induced voltage of sinusoidal magnetic field And Spectrum of Barkhausen noise on material is determined.
