  • The mechanism of knowledge production in the basic science has been changed throughout the development process in Korea. During the 1970s, the focus resides in the support of individual scientists while it concentrated on the support of research organization, centered on center of excellence from the 1980s. The change in the sup-porting mechanism to basic science result in the transformation of knowledge production system in the university and impact on the behavior of individual scientists. This paper focuses on the co-evolution process between newly adopted supporting program for basic science and the knowledge production system via the case study of representative program of center of excellence supporting program in Korea.

  • Some devices of sustaining the small scale farming in the changing social and economic conditions in which comparative disadvantages are evidently to be experienced in the near future, are becoming a central proposition in the Korean agriculture. In this connection, development of integrated activities in farming among individual farmers within a region may be an important device of overcoming prevailing limits of resource possession and use of individual farmers. These inter-farm or inter-group cooperation and integration can be promoted through establishing efficient cooperative system within a farming district. This study was undertaken to find facts pertaining to situations leading to successful performence of cooperative systems in group farming. In this study, The case in Cheunee Myun, Yungi-Gun, Chungchungnam-Do in which farming is specialized in production of so called "organic farming products" and farmers are integrated for increasing their productivity.ductivity.

  • One of the problems brought up in the effective execution of genetic algorithms is that if they come under any influences according as the population size is large or small. In the case of small population size the opportunities of premature convergence are increased when the greatly powerful or no good individual is generated during search of the solution space. And searching the solution space in the case of large population size, the difficulties under the execution cause to searching all for one by one individual in every generation applied is limited, this gives the many interruptions to the convergence of final solution. Now this paper gives a suggestion to set up the adaptive population size which could compute the more correct solution and simplify the development of computation performance.

  • In this work, an individual trespassing detector using a PIR sensor to detect infrared rays only between the range of $9.4{\sim}10.4{\mu}m$ radiated from the body is proposed. This detector using FIR sensor detects not insect or object but human body, It doesn't restrict the inhabitant's behavior because the filter of pm sensor is designed to have face angle and the detector only detects the window area. The existing wide angle filter, RIR sensor, detects $30^{\circ}$ angle while the face angle filter sensor on this paper detects $11^{\circ}$ angle with 3cm of face angle filter from 2m of detecting distance. In case of interruption of electric power, 250mAh of lithium-ion battery has worked for 10 hours consuming 22mA in normal state. Meanwhile, in case of interruption of electric power, 250mAh of battery has worked for 4 hours consuming 60mA in trespassing detecting state. Projector, receptor, controller and alarm are put on one PCB in order to make it convenient to install without any special installation skill.

  • Currently, in order to achieve accurate geolocation of satellite images we need to generate control points from individual scenes. This requirement increases the cost and processing time of satellite mapping greatly. In this paper we investigate the feasibility of modeling entire image strips that has been acquired from the same orbital segments. We tested sensor models based on satellite orbit and attitude with different sets of unknowns. We checked the accuracy of orbit modeling by establishing sensor models of one scene using control points extracted from the scene and by applying the models to adjacent scenes within the same orbital segments. Results indicated that modeling of individual scenes with $2^{nd}$ order unknowns was recommended. In this case, unknown parameters were position biases, drifts, accelerations and attitude biases. Results also indicated that modeling of orbital segments with zero-degree unknowns was recommended. In this case, unknown parameters were attitude biases.

  • It is commonly recognized to need performance management for successful construction project. PPC measurement of Last Planner System is one of construction project measurement method. PPC measurement is quantitatively assessment to go through construction, and that is not completely to be trusted when compare a project with another or an individual case work with another in same project. According to, purpose of this study is comparison indicator establishment that compare project with another or an individual case work with another it is not use PPC measurement for quantitatively assessment to go through construction. The procedure of this study is derive of the point at issue of existing PPC measurement for a aim PPC measurement in this study expenditure and select weight about that and it is applied to actually construction.

  • The $C_B$ statistic, a generalization of Mallows's $C_L$ statistic, is developed to determine the shrinkage parameter. Since not all cases in a data set play an equal role in forming $C_B$, a subdivision of $C_B$ into individual components for each case is developed. This subdivision is useful both as an aid in understanding $C_B$ and as a diagnostic procedure.

  • The basic idea of case-based reasoning is to solve a new problem using the previous problem-solving experiences. In this research we develop a case-based reasoning system for equipment malfunction diagnosis. We first divide the case base into clusters using the case-based clustering technique. Then we develop an appropriate case-based diagnostic system for each cluster. In other words for individual cluster a different case-based diagnostic system which uses different weights for attributes is developed. As a result multiple case-based reasoning system are operating to solve a diagnostic problem. In comparison to the performance of the single case-based reasoning system our system reduces the computation time by 50% and increases the accuracy by 5% point.

  • Organizational culture among flight crews has a profound impact on the individual attitude and behavior of member flight crews, and active training is conducted focusing on improving flight crews' Crew Resource Management(CRM) performance. However, adequate research and training on the relationships between flight crew's individual culture and CRM performance have not been conducted. Hence, this study examined the effect of individual cultural values on CRM performance and the moderation effect of psychological safety, with captains and first officers working for commercial airlines as participants. For the factors related to individual cultural value scale, power distance had no significant effect on CRM performance, uncertainty avoidance had a significant negative effect, and individualism had a significant positive effect. With regard to the moderation effect of psychological safety on the relationships between individual cultural values and CRM performance, a significant interaction was found between power distance and CRM performance, but not between uncertainty avoidance and CRM performance, or between individualism and CRM performance. Power distance and CRM performance exhibited a strong negative correlation in case of low psychological safety. Compared to existing research measuring the cultural characteristics of pilot groups on a national or organizational culture level, this study is uniquely valuable in that it also covers the relationship between individual cultural values of commercial airline flight crews and CRM performance.

  • Background: Depression is a common disease around the world. Many studies are showing that mental health can be improved through physical activity, and daily regular exercise can reduce the negative effects of depression or depressive symptoms. In order to promote individual physical activity, a physical activity-friendly environment must precede. Therefore, this study attempted to confirm whether the number of sports facilities for all affects individual depression. Methods: Among the respondents to the 2018 Community Health Survey, data from 181,086 people excluding missing value were used. Descriptive and chi-square tests were performed to understanding the general characteristics of individual level variables. A multilevel logistic regression was conducted to confirm the effect of individual and regional level variables on depressive symptoms. Results: As a result of confirming the effect of individual characteristics on depressive symptoms, it was confirmed that both socioeconomic and health behavior factors had an effect. Similar results were shown in a model that considered regional level variables, and in the case of the number of sports facilities per population, people who belongs to smaller areas were more likely to have depressive symptoms (odds ratio, 0.98; 95% confidence interval, 0.97-0.99). Conclusion: As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that both individual level and regional level variables had a significant effect on depressive symptoms. This suggests that not only individual level approaches but also regional level approaches are needed to improve individual depressive symptoms In particular, it may be possible to consider to increase the number of sports facilities in areas where the prevalence of depressive symptoms is high and the number of sports facilities is insufficient.
