  • For feeder automation function, we must have Fault Indicator with the information of fault current flowing inside automatic feeder switches. In this paper, we introduce the algorithm of feeder automation, the theory of fault indicator, the result with some troubles of field test in real distribution system and contents of improvement.

  • If a multiplicative function f is commutable with a quadratic form x2 + xy + y2, i.e., f(x2 + xy + y2) = f(x)2 + f(x) f(y) + f(y)2, then f is the identity function. In other hand, if f is commutable with a quadratic form x2 - xy + y2, then f is one of three kinds of functions: the identity function, the constant function, and an indicator function for ℕ \ pℕ with a prime p.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the consumers who use the level of price as the indicator of the product quality. In order to implement the purpose of this study, Jeans market had been segmented by the mixture regression model, and price response function was calibrated for each segment. Based on the types of price response function, segments were allocated into one of two groups; the group using the level of price as the quality indicator or the group not using the level of price as that. Then, characteristics of both groups were compared in terms of product attributes and demographic variables. Data were co]looted from the sample of the 23o undergraduate and graduate students in Seoul. For the data analysis, mixture regression model, conjoint analysis, and t-test were used. As a result, jeans market was divided into 5 segments. Segment 1,2,3 were allocated into the group not using the level of price as the quality indicator while segment 4,5 were done into the other group. Significant differences existed between two groups in product attributes, not in demographic variables. Mixture model and conjoint analysis were proved to be an effective set of tools in market segmentation.

A Modulation Transfer Function Compensation for the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) Based on the Wiener Filter

  • The modulation transfer function (MTF) is a widely used indicator in assessments of remote-sensing image quality. This MTF method is also used to restore information to a standard value to compensate for image degradation caused by atmospheric or satellite jitter effects. In this study, we evaluated MTF values as an image quality indicator for the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI). GOCI was launched in 2010 to monitor the ocean and coastal areas of the Korean peninsula. We evaluated in-orbit MTF value based on the GOCI image having a 500-m spatial resolution in the first time. The pulse method was selected to estimate a point spread function (PSF) with an optimal natural target such as a Seamangeum Seawall. Finally, image restoration was performed with a Wiener filter (WF) to calculate the PSF value required for the optimal regularization parameter. After application of the WF to the target image, MTF value is improved 35.06%, and the compensated image shows more sharpness comparing with the original image.

녹지의 기능적 평가를 위한 지표 선정 및 평가체계 구축 - 산림형 녹지를 중심으로 - (Selection of Indicator and Establishment of System for a Functional Assessment of Green Space - Focused on Forest Green Space -)

  • The purpose of this study is to select indicators by a methodical approach and to establish a functional assessment system as a basic study for planning and constructing green space of forest. The types of green space were divided into 6 classes based on theoretical reviews of literature and the functions of green space were restricted to 'nature-ecological function', 'environment-control function' and 'usage function'. As a result of the selection of indicators, 35 indicators were initially selected by theoretical review and these indicators were reduced to 29 through brainstorming. Also, these indicators were classified into three functions such as 12 indicators (nature-ecological function), 8 indicators (environment-control function), 6 indicators (usage function) by analysis of suitability. According to the result of selection of the optimum indicators using MCB (Multiple Comparisons with the Best treatment) analysis, the optimum indicators of 7, 5, and 4 respectively by each function were selected for forest green space. The results of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) for the establishment of the assessment system in forest, the weight of nature-ecological function was evaluated highest at 0.558, while the weight of environment-control and usage function were calculated at each 0.277, 0.165. 'Naturality (0.189)', 'Carbon sink (0.235)', and 'Accessibility (0.354)' among indicators showed highest by each function. The weight of indicator and assessment system may be used as a valuable guideline in case of assessing synthetically green space within urban planning.

  • This study presents a practical procedure for the Bayesian inversion of geophysical data by Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) sampling and geostatistics. We have applied geostatistical techniques for the acquisition of prior model information, and then the MCMC method was adopted to infer the characteristics of the marginal distributions of model parameters. For the Bayesian inversion of dipole-dipole array resistivity data, we have used the indicator kriging and simulation techniques to generate cumulative density functions from Schlumberger array resistivity data and well logging data, and obtained prior information by cokriging and simulations from covariogram models. The indicator approach makes it possible to incorporate non-parametric information into the probabilistic density function. We have also adopted the MCMC approach, based on Gibbs sampling, to examine the characteristics of a posteriori probability density function and the marginal distribution of each parameter. This approach provides an effective way to treat Bayesian inversion of geophysical data and reduce the non-uniqueness by incorporating various prior information.

디스플레이를 이용한 재실표시장치 연구 (Study of Room Indicator Using Display)

  • 본 논문은 교수 연구실의 재실표시 장치를 편리하게 표시할 수 있도록 만든 작품을 연구하였다. 기능은 크게 두 가지로 나누어지는데, 주 기능은 상태표시 판이고 부가 기능인 LCD 디스플레이다. 이 두 가지 기능 모두 블루투스 무선 통신을 이용하여 스마트폰 어플리케이션을 통하여 제어가 가능하도록 설계, 제작하였다.

LCA를 적용한 하천환경영향평가 방법 (A Method of River Environmental Impact Assessment using LCA)

  • In this research LCA methodology was adapted and analyzed in quantifying estimation of estuarine environment. The analysed objects of estuarine environment were construction methods, facility, and input material into water, and estuarine ecosystem. In this research the function of LCA of estuarine environment was river with the view of controling water, utilizing water, and hydrophilic function. According to the result of research, environmental damage indicator of facility was decreased 346 Pt from 453 Pt at pre-maintenance to 107 pt at post-maintenance. Among raw and subsidiary materials, remicon, stone-netting bag, and pebbles were showing heavy environmental load in the order. Evironmental impact of input material into water system was analyzed from 1,827 Pt environmental load before construction to 1,080 Pt of post-maintenance, and damage indicator was improved at 747 Pt. Water quality was improved from 1,827 Pt (before construction) to 1,080 Pt(after construction), and ecosystem was improved after maintenance. Environmental indicator in ecosystem was analyzed 427 Pt(before construction) to 348 Pt(after construction), and damage indicator of Sumnjingang riverine system was improved as much as 79 Pt. In the conclusion, estuarine environmental monitoring through LCA in the area of facility, input material into water and ecosystem showed that close-to-nature stream was 1,172 Pt better than artificial stream in environmental aspects.

LTE-R 기술을 적용한 입환진로표시기 무선제어시스템 연구 (A Study on the Wireless Control System for the Shunting Route Indicator Applied with LTE-R technology)

  • The railway has recently been expanded with the phase of the future transportation. Accordingly, using the new technologies such as smart devices and LTE-R, the needs for reducing operational costs and improving passenger services have emerged. To realize these needs, the government is pushing to build the dedicated wireless network for the railway systems. In this paper, the shunting route indicator was selected for this study because it has the best effect for the wireless system removed lots of wired cables. And the wireless shunting route indicator applied with LTE-R technology was developed to replace the current wired control system. The functional goal(the wireless control function applied LTE-R), the performance goal(less than 300ms for transferring the control information), and the reliability goal(over the 100,000 hours for MTBF) were set, and these goals were achieved and demonstrated through the test and validation.

한국의 광의통화(M2)와 광의유동성(L)에 대한 화폐수요의 장기적 안정성 검정 (The Long-Run Demand for Monetary Indicator M2 and Liquidity Indicator L - Case in Korea -)

  • 이 논문은 1980:1-2006:3분기간 자료를 이용하여 한국의 광의통화(M2)와 광의유동성(L)에 대한 개방형 화폐수요함수를 계절성과 외환위기를 고려한 공적분 검정 및 오차수정모형으로 분석하였다. 실증 분석결과 한국의 광의통화(M2)와 광의유동성(L)은 실질소득, 회사채수익률, 인플레이션 불확실성, 실질실효환율, 환율불확실성, LIBOR금리간 공적분 관계가 존재하여 이들 변수들 사이에 안정적인 장기균형관계가 성립하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 광의통화(M2)변동은 환율불확실성 변화에 가장 크게 의존하며 LIBOR금리 변화와 미세하지만 실질실효환율 및 소득변화에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 광의유동성(L)의 경우에는 환율불확실성의 변화에 가장 크게 의존하며 광의유동성 수요와 실질소득변화에 의해서도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으나, 회사채수익률, 인플레이션불확실성, 실질실효환율, LIBOR금리 등의 변화에 의해서는 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
