  • This study were subjected to accelerated weathering test under freeze-thaw and pressure conditions to observe initiation and propagation of cracks using CLSM. Applied stress was set at 50 MPa, 55 MPa, 70 MPa for 3 samples each by using compressor and freeze-thaw experiment was conducted while samples maintained that condition. In freeze-thaw experiments, a temperature range was set to -20~40℃ which was 1 cycle for 6 hours. The freeze-thaw cycle was composed of time which reached to set temperature for 1 hour and holding time for 2 hours. On the basis of this cycle, surface of samples was observed by CLSM after each 20 freeze-thaw cycle. From this research, according to increase freeze-thaw cycle, there were 7, 10, 19 each cracks and High pressured sample's accumulate length was longer than low pressured sample's. High pressured sample's crack velocities were also faster than low pressured sample's which were calculated by accumulate length and freeze-thaw cycle.

  • The study aims were to verify the influences of job environment factors and work attitude on turnover intention of school foodservice employees, and then to verify the mediating effect of organization commitment between six areas of worklife and turnover intention so that organizations can intervene to reduce the turnover intentions of employees. The subjects were 205 employees who were working in the school foodservice field. The job environment factors were measured by six areas of worklife (workload, control, reward, fairness, community, value) and the organizational commitment was measured by two types of commitments (affective, continuance). The results were as follows. First, workload, reward, community and value of six areas of worklife reduced affective commitment, control and fairness increased continuance commitment, and affective commitment reduced turnover intention. Second, only reward and community showed direct effect on turnover intention, but all six areas of worklife had a statistically significant indirect effect on turnover intention through affective commitment. These results showed that job environment factors had both direct and indirect effect on employees' behavior through employees' affection. These findings imply that organizations can control employees' turnover intention by providing education or social support to maintain their affective commitment even when organizations cannot change job environment.

The eleven home care nurse practitioners took the survey on 97 patients who received home care nursing service from Seoul City Nurses Association for one month from September 26 to October 26 1996. A modified version of Braden's bed sore assessment tool for bed sore risks and a tool for assessment of bed sore stage and measurement bed sore sizes by Bergstrom, Braden, Laguzza and Holman(1987) were as research tools for this study and a questionnare with 40 questions and 12 items on nursing activities was used to find out the prevention and treatment of bed sores. Also, two open ended questions were used on current approaches and efforts of the treatment being applied to clients. The finding of the study were summarized as following : 1. The rate of bed sore occurrence was 47.4% 2. The areas of bed sore occurrence were hip(28.9%), sacrum(18.6%), great trochanter(14.4%) and the average number of sore spots were 2.26 3. Two groups-one with bed sores and the other without-were studied to determine prediction factors for bed sore risks. Sensory function, humidity, level of activity, mobility, nutrition, skin friction and chapping and body temperature turned out to be statistically significant factors for bed sores. Also the age of clients turned out to be a individual characteristic variable significantly affecting the rate of bed sore occurrences. 4. The education for clients and family on systematic skin assessment and bed sores and practice of active/passive R.O.M. are mainly used as nursing activities for bed sore care. 5. The treatment method varied by stages of bed sores. Sometimes folk remedies like applying the powders of dried elm tree roots to sores were used. Good nutrition, frequent position change and skin care turned to be the most effective means to fast recovery of sores.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the problems related to the purchasing processes of school foodservices that should be corrected for the food service safety, by examining the purchasing processes and the status of supplier selection. A questionnaire was given to 300 dietitians working at self-operated food services. Ninety-eight responses, excluding incomplete answers, were used for the statistical analysis. The survey consisted of three parts: the general characteristics of the school foodservice and dietitian, purchasing processes and supplier selection, and the purchase specifications. We found that 84% of the contract was made by informal purchasing, and the contract period was 6 months or one year. For supplier selection, problems related to the document screening systems were the superficiality of the content(45.7%) and the absence or lack of clarity of the appraisal criteria(34.8%). The important factors for the facility and equipment standards of suppliers were included unclear evaluation methods for content(41.1%) and inappropriate appraisal lists(21.1%), while unclear evaluation methods for content(41.9%) and absence or lack of clarity of the appraisal criteria(20.4%) were the problems pertaining to the supplier evaluation checklist. When using the Food Labeling Standards to select suppliers, confirmation of the sell-by date and the storage method had the highest score at 3.85 out of 5. For supplier selection, only 25% of the contract was made by using the purchase specifications. The levels of satisfaction of with Kimchi and rice cakes suppliers were significantly different according to employment type and educational background, respectively. Depending on working experiences, satisfaction was significantly different for the use of document screening, as a standard for the selection and management of suppliers, and for the facility and equipment standards of suppliers, The use of purchase specifications was different by employment type, while the use of purchase specifications for contracts was different by working experience. These results imply that the specialization of suppliers is necessary to unsure food safety. Therefore, the objective methods to evaluate the suppliers should be developed by the government, and appropriate education programs for dietitians should be prepared to enhance the utilization of purchase specifications.

The results of the research are as follows: First, students usually perceived the role of teacher librarians as 'library management', and teachers did as 'reading education'. Second, among the roles of teacher librarians, it was confirmed that students' and teachers' perceptions of 'information literacy instruction and library instruction' were very weak. Third, while the students' perception of the role of a teacher librarian as a 'teaching collaborator' such as 'teaching and learning support' and 'library assisted instruction and collaborative instruction' was weak, teachers recognized the role of teacher librarians as 'teaching collaborators'. Fourth, students and teachers perceived high levels of 'information service', which consists of 'book recommendation and guide activities'. Finally, it was investigated that 'professionalism' plays a central role in the students' and teachers' perception about the qualities of teacher librarians. These results can be used to establish the role of teacher librarians, develop response strategies for students and teachers, and improve their awareness.
