Through review of literatures about purchase decision factors, we have derived about attributes of 6 factors. T-test, importance performance analysis (IPA), and regression analysis were conducted to identify priorities among the details of the importance and satisfaction and to analyze the effect relationship between satisfaction of each factor and overall satisfaction. Looking at a few high-priority order, battery capacity, memory capacity, fast and accurate repair, the adequacy of the repair cost, and processor in the top five factors were shown to be an important factor when purchasing smart phones. The results of this study can provide the marketing strategies for smart phone suppliers. • Recently, as people have become more interested in health issues, their demand on forest trails for bush walking exercise has increased. The purpose of the study is to select barrier factors into forest trail for disabled using wheelchairs. As a result this, it has selected 31 barrier factors through the Delphi method. Of all the these factors, the information board of forest trails, showing the location of the trails, has indicated the highest score of importance at 4.50. Next, securing hiker' walking safety space has indicated an importance level of 4.44; both the slope of forest trails and the height of obstacles have indicated an importance level of 4.38; and the effective width of forest trails has indicated the highest score of importance level of 4.33. From these indicated levels of importance, the respondents of the Delphi method consider the safety of users of forest trail' as the most important factor while the physically disables are hiking. That is why these factors have resulted in acquiring relatively higher values.

  • This study investigated the current status of foodservice management and the importance and performance of foodservice management according to the level of knowledge of workers. A survey was conducted between February 2015 and March 2015 for 329 foodservice workers at Community Child Centers in Chungbuk Area. Of these respondents, the majority (78.4%) of them were females. Most of them were in their 40s (40.4%) or 50s (33.4%). If the respondent's correct answer rate of knowledge was 0~50% or 51~100%, the respondent was classified into a 'Low Group (LG, n=175)' or a 'High Group (HG, n=154)'. Among a total of 14 foodservice management questions, 6 items (personal hygiene: 1 item; food material: 2 items; and food processing: 3 items) had relatively higher performance scores for workers in HG than for workers in LG. As a result of Importance-Performance analysis, 'Use different knives and cutting boards for fish, meat, and vegetables' was a variable of high importance but low performance. It was found that improvement was most urgently needed. Results of this study can be used to derive important items for improving foodservice management and policy development for foodservice workers at Community Child Centers.

Open Quality aims to ensure quality responsibility by accurately measuring the quality level and sharing the quality data with stakeholders. Methods: To analyze the importance of QSC, a survey study was conducted based on 10 types of industry. The relative weights of QSC measures are investigated by both the industry types and the organizational life cycle. Further, the relative importance of QSC was analyzed according to the organization's lifecycle. By dividing the aspects with respect to the result data, application method for QSC is further provided. Results: The result indicates that there are significant differences among Korean companies in terms of the level of Industry revolution stages. Among ten industry types, manufacturing and finance sectors show the highest importance of QSC. QSC measures are also considered more importance in growth stage of the maturity cycle than generator and decline stages. Conclusion: When QSC is adopted for Open Quality, its relative weights must be considered to cope with the unique characteristics of industrial types. Besides, QSC's contribution may vary according to the level of maturity of the target company.

  • This study aimed at investigating any differences perceived between the contractor and the contractee based on an importance-performance analysis (IPA) of foodservice quality attributes. Questionnaires were distributed to 200 personnel concerned in the Busan, Ulsan and Kyungnam areas and a total of 134 valid responses were used for analysis. Of the 23 foodservice quality attributes, the factors of 'food quality', 'employee service', 'hygiene and safety', 'customer orientation' and 'operation quality' were induced from a scale purification process through the exploratory factor analysis. The level of importance (p<0.01) of the 'hygiene and safety' factor and 'employee service' factor was not found to be significantly different between the groups. In the level of performance, the factors of 'food service', 'employee service', 'customer orientation' and 'operation quality' were found to be perceived significantly lower than expected by the contractor group. In the importance level, 'food quality', 'employee service', 'hygiene and safety', 'customer orientation' and 'operation quality' were rated by the contractor as 4.03, 4.30, 4.27, 4.01 and 4.12 points, respectively. In contrast, in the performance level, perceived 'food quality', 'employee service', 'hygiene and safety', 'customer orientation' and 'operation quality' were evaluated as 3.57, 3.94, 4.06, 3.83 and 3.95 points, respectively.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the conservation management direction about cultural landscape of the traditional villages in the area of Huizhou through the importance-performance analysis. The results of the survey on the importance - performance of 261 people who had many visits to various cultural landscapes of Huizhou villages such as Hongchun, Sidichun etc. are as follows. It was appeared that the item of 'good air' is the highest level of importance and satisfaction and is best condition. The item of 'historical conservation' is the high level of importance, but the level of satisfaction is low, so continuous improvement is necessary. The item of 'Old garden conservation' has high satisfaction but low importance, so it needs to improve its importance through subsequent improvement. The item of 'Keeping of old cemetary and old tower' has low importance and satisfaction but it is above average, so continuous maintenance is needed. The items of 'Preservation of stone gate' and 'Preservation of famous man's birth house' all have slightly higher satisfaction and lower importance. Both items are highly satisfied with their importance, so they should avoid excessive efforts and maintain the present status. Satisfaction with the item of 'water environment and water quality' was the lowest, and the problem of the present condition is the most serious, and a major improvement is needed. The importance and satisfaction of 'Commercial development of old villages' was the lowest among all items. This item is causing serious problems and should provide an overall improvement way to drastically improve the importance and satisfaction. Concentration is necessary to improve the environment of the whole villages, to protect the ecological plants and animals in old villages, to transfer and improve the culture of old villages, to maintain sustainability of the villages, and to protect old temple and old rock in old villages. As the level of satisfaction with sustainability is the lowest in the part of 'Concentrate here', there is a great concern about sustainability. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on sustainability and concentrate on sustainable development.

  • The purpose of the study was to evaluate the perception of importance about HACCP guidelines of dietitians. A questionnaire was developed to achieve research objectives and sent to random samples of 500 dietitians by a mail ; 418(84%) responses were analyzed. The respondents used three-point-scale to rate their perception of importance about HACCP from 1-"will be necessary" to 3-"very important". All statistical analyses were conducted using SAS package(version 8.12) for Windows. Means and standard deviations were computed for all variables. One-way analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test were used to assess differences in the perception of importance about HACCP guidelines among business and industry, health care and school foodservice managers. The study results were summarized as follows. Dietitians especially had lower perception of importance on the contents of Critical Control Points(CCPs), such as; adequate thawing methods and keeping records(1.95) and correct cleaning and sterilizing for raw vegetables and fruits(1.93). The rates of perception of importance about HACCP guidelines were significantly different from 19 of the 37 contents among business and industry, health care and school foodservice(p<.05 or p<.01 or p<.001). Generally, the item related to purchasing and inspection management had the highest perception level score and the item related to pre-preparation management had the lowest perception level score in foodservice production process(p<.001). Results indicate that there is a need for increased education of dietitians about HACCP principles and appropriate practices.
