We report our study on the implementation of Q tensor approach into three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) numerical solver. The comparative simulation results demonstrated the possibility of a different director configuration in between Q tensor method and vector method. The comparative study confirmed that Q Tensor implementation is more appropriate for OCB analysis than the vector method.

The quantization of the LPC parameters is a very important aspect of the speech compression algorithm. This paper analyzes the quantization effect of the LPC coefficients and presents the implementation of a fixed-point CELP coder based on the LPC analysis.

We propose an implicit numerical implementation for Leblond's transformation plasticity constitutive equations , which are widely used in welded steel structure. We apply Euler backward scheme rule to integrate the equations and determine the consistent tangent modulus. The implementation may be used with updated Lagrangian formulation. we test a simple butt-welding process to compare with SYSWELD and discuss the accuracy.

This paper deals with a case analysis on the implementation of HACCP System. The intention is to provide some general guidelines, in particular, to small to medium sized companies that are planning to introduce the HACCP System. This paper is meaningful in regard to the actual implementation of HACCP System in small to medium sized company. It is very good result in this study because the law/guideline of HACCP is executed now.

Purpose: This study was describes the development and implementation a sex education program with a blended learning method for university students. Methods: Sixty-eight university students were recruited either to the experimental group (n=35) or the control group (n=33). This program was developed based on the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation model. The analysis phase consisted of a literature review, focus group interview, expert consultations, and target group survey. In addition, learning objectives and structure were designed, and a printed text-book, presentation slides, cross-word puzzle, and debate topics were developed. In the implementation phase, the program was conducted 3 times over the course of 3 weeks. The evaluation phase involved verification of the effects of the program on sex-related knowledge, sexual autonomy, and justification of violence, as well as an assessment of satisfaction with the program. Results: The experimental group had significantly higher scores on sex-related knowledge (t=5.47, p<.001), sexual autonomy (t=2.40, p=.019), and justification of violence (t=2.52, p=.015) than the control group. Conclusion: The results indicate that this sex education program with blended learning was effective in meeting the needs of university students and can be widely used in this context.

해양과학기술 R&D 결과정보의 데이터베이스 구축 연구를 위해 국내외 관련 연구를 조사하고 분석하였다. 연구대상은 해양 R&D 연구보고서에서 해양조사자료까지를 범위로 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 연구성과정보의 효율적인 정보검색서비스를 제공하는데 있다. 본 논문에서는 연구보고서의 메타데이터 기술요소 분석, 분류체계, 정보서비스 등과 함께 해양조사자료의 정보시스템 설계 및 구현의 사례로써 시스템 구성, 웹정보서비스 프로세스, 자료 입출력 프로세스, 검색 가시화 프로세스 등의 연구를 수행하였다.

The purport of this paper is to deduce political implication and significance of the proposed redress scheme of 'Consumer Collective Lawsuit (hereinunder "CCL")' under way to be introduced by the Korean government via various assessments per each phase of policy implementation process. To this end, the paper classifies the subject policy (referring to CCL) implementation process into 4 phases: policy origination, policy enactment, policy advertisement, and policy execution. Based on the said classification, assessments per each phase together with pros and cons analysis have been conducted. Through the aforementioned analysis, the paper concludes the following political implication and significance of CCL under way of introduction: - 1. In the case of policy origination led by external parties, a social consensus by and from involved parties with various interests is the most critical; 2. Prior feasibility and/or suitability study is also crucial in the policy implementation procedure; 3. To mitigate inter-ministerial conflicts that might arise from the due policy making procedure, democratization of conflict settlement mechanism, and institutionalization of participation in and disclosure of policy making process are cal led upon; and 4. Prior planning wi th respect to the public relation and advertisements of the subject policy on the table poses substantial significance.

This paper presents the analysis and implementation of traveling surface characteristics test equipment using optical mice in connection with the velocity estimation of a mobile robot equipped with optical mice. In the traveling surface characteristics test equipment, a traveling surface sample is made to rotate toward stationary optical mice instead of a mobile robot equipped with optical mice moving over a traveling surface. First, the conceptual design and operational principle of the traveling surface characteristics test equipment is explained. Second, the velocity kinematics of the traveling surface characteristics test equipment is formulated; based on this, the parameter setting of the traveling surface characteristics test equipment is described. Third, the implementation of the traveling surface characteristics test equipment is described in detail, including the mechanical design and construction and the hardware and software development. Fourth, using the prototype of the traveling surface characteristics test equipment, the experimental results of the statistical parameter extraction for different traveling surface samples are given. Finally, some potential usages of the traveling surface characteristics test equipment are discussed.

The dynamic cast operation allows flexibility in the design and use of data management facilities in object-oriented programs. Dynamic cast has an important role in the implementation of the Data Management Services (DMS) of the Mission Data System Project (MDS), the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's experimental work for providing a state-based and goal-oriented unified architecture for testing and development of mission software. DMS is responsible for the storage and transport of control and scientific data in a remote autonomous spacecraft. Like similar operators in other languages, the C++ dynamic cast operator does not provide the timing guarantees needed for hard real-time embedded systems. In a recent study, Gibbs and Stroustrup (G&S) devised a dynamic cast implementation strategy that guarantees fast constant-time performance. This paper presents the definition and application of a cosimulation framework to formally verify and evaluate the G&S fast dynamic casting scheme and its applicability in the Mission Data System DMS application. We describe the systematic process of model-based simulation and analysis that has led to performance improvement of the G&S algorithm's heuristics by about a factor of 2. In this work we introduce and apply a library for extracting semantic information from C++ source code that helps us deliver a practical and verifiable implementation of the fast dynamic casting algorithm.
