한국어 학습자의 음성 변별 능력과 음운 습득 능력의 상관성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Phonetic Discrimination and Acquisition Ability of Korean Language Learners)

  • This study aimed at discovering whether Korean language learners who had never been exposed to Korean phones before could distinguish Korean phones and whether learners who had comparatively better ability of identifying phonetic differences displayed a better result in acquiring Korean phonemes. The study conducted two experiments on 25 learners. In Experiment I, an oddball test (ABX) was performed to investigate the learners' ability to discriminate Korean phones on the first day of the course. In Experiment II, an identification test was administered to analyze the ability of identifying Korean phones on the same learners after three weeks of language instruction. The results revealed that the true-beginner learners demonstrated different phonetic discrimination abilities, but these abilities did not seem to correlate with the rate of acquisition.

Effects of Stretching Exercises and Core Muscle Exercises on Flexibility and Balance Ability

  • Background : Several studies have suggested different arguments for the effect of stretching exercises and core muscle exercises on flexibility and balance ability. Objective : To determine the effects of stretching exercises and core muscle exercise on flexibility and balance ability. Design : Quasi experimental research Method : The study applied exercise interventions (three sessions per week for 6 weeks) on 40 subjects. The subjects were divided into stretching and core muscle exerciseing groups to identify the change of flexibility and balance ability. Sit- and- reach test results and hip hyperextension were measured for identifying changes in flexibility, and the Romberg test and Pedalo stabilizer were used for changes in balance ability. Results : Both the stretching exercise and core muscle exercise groups showed a statistically significant increase in flexibility (p<.05). However, the stretching exercise group showed a statistically significant increase in balance ability (p<.05), whereas the core muscle exercise group showed partially statistically significant differences in this par t(p>.05). In the analysis of the differences in the amount of change in flexibility, based on the types of exercise, stretching exercises showed a significant difference (p<.05), whereas a significant difference was not found in the amount of change in balance ability (p>.05). Conclusions : These findings indicate that stretching exercises are the more effective intervention for improving and maintaining flexibility, whereas there is no difference between stretching and core muscle exercises with respect to improving balance ability.

일반화 능력이 향상된 CNN 기반 위조 영상 식별 (CNN-Based Fake Image Identification with Improved Generalization)

  • With the continued development of image processing technology, we live in a time when it is difficult to visually discriminate processed (or tampered) images from real images. However, as the risk of fake images being misused for crime increases, the importance of image forensic science for identifying fake images is emerging. Currently, various deep learning-based identifiers have been studied, but there are still many problems to be used in real situations. Due to the inherent characteristics of deep learning that strongly relies on given training data, it is very vulnerable to evaluating data that has never been viewed. Therefore, we try to find a way to improve generalization ability of deep learning-based fake image identifiers. First, images with various contents were added to the training dataset to resolve the over-fitting problem that the identifier can only classify real and fake images with specific contents but fails for those with other contents. Next, color spaces other than RGB were exploited. That is, fake image identification was attempted on color spaces not considered when creating fake images, such as HSV and YCbCr. Finally, dropout, which is commonly used for generalization of neural networks, was used. Through experimental results, it has been confirmed that the color space conversion to HSV is the best solution and its combination with the approach of increasing the training dataset significantly can greatly improve the accuracy and generalization ability of deep learning-based identifiers in identifying fake images that have never been seen before.

플립러닝형 프로젝트기반 학습이 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력, 셀프리더십과 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Nursing Students' Flipped Learning-type Project-based Learning on Nursing College Students' Self-directed Learning Ability, Self-leadership, and Academic Self-efficacy)

  • Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data for future nursing education by identifying the effects of flipped learning-type project-based learning on nursing college students' self-directed learning ability, self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy. Methods: It is a pre-experimental study designed before and after a single group to verify the effect of flipped learning project-based learning on nursing students' self-directed learning ability, self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy in 81 third-grade nursing students. Results: No statistically significant difference in self-efficacy (t=-0.80, p=.545) but self-directed learning ability (t=-3.85, p<.001) and self-leadership (t=-5.18, p<.001) were found to have a statistically significant difference before and after. Conclusion: Flipped learning-type project-based learning was confirmed effective in improving nursing college students' self-directed learning ability and self-leadership. Therefore, instructors will need to develop and apply teaching methods that provide learners with opportunities for pre-learning and carry out learner-centered projects to improve nursing college students' self-directed learning ability and self-leadership.

초등학생의 공간시각화능력 및 수학성취도에 관한 연구 (Spatial Ability and Mathematical Achievement of Elementary School Students)

  • 공간능력은 수학의 직관적 관점과 수학적 이해 및 수학적 성취도와도 밀접한 관련이 있다는 점에서 매우 중요한 능력으로 평가될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 학생 1228명을 대상으로 공간시각화능력을 조사하였다. 이를 통하여 다음과 같은 연구결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 공간시각화 능력과 수학성취도, 공간시각화 능력과 공간시각화 검사시간 사이에 상관관계가 있다. 둘째, 공간능력은 남녀 사이에 차이가 있었으며, 남학생이 여학생보다 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 공간능력은 학년수준에서 4학년보다는 5학년이 높았으며, 5학년보다는 6학년이 더 높게 나타났다.

한국의 중학교 영재학생과 일반학생의 공간 능력의 차이에 관한 연구 (Assessing Korean Middle School Students' Spatial Ability: Comparison between Gifted Students and General Students)

  • 본 연구는 공간능력이 영재학생들을 판별하는데 중요한 요소로 작용한다는 전제하에 한국의 중학교 영재학생들과 일반학생의 공간능력을 비교하는 것을 주 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위하여 한국의 중학생들에게 '퍼듀 공간 시각화 검사: 회전의 시각화(Revised PSVT:R)'를 실시하였다. Revised PSVT:R의 타당도 검증을 위하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 영재 학생들과 일반 학생들의 공간 능력 차이를 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 영재학생들은 일반학생들보다 공간능력에 있어서 훨씬 우수하였다. 공간 능력에 대한 검사 결과를 확장하여 공간능력과 수학, 과학, 언어 분야와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 공간능력은 수학, 과학, 언어분야와 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 공간능력이 우수한 학생과 영재교육에 참여하고 있는 영재학생은 같은 특성이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 공간능력은 영재학생을 판별하는 중요한 검사도구로 포함되어야 할 것이다.

일부 치위생과 학생의 문제해결능력과 임상실습만족도와의 관계 (The Relation between the Problem Solving Ability and Clinical Practice Satisfaction of Dental Hygiene Students)

  • Objectives: This study was carried out to provide basic materials to draw up measures for courses operation and effective clinical practice operation for the cultivation of future effective problem solving ability by identifying the relationship between problem solving ability and clinical practice satisfaction of dental hygiene students. Methods: This study targeted 215 dental hygiene students from 3 universities located in Gyeonggi-do from November 30 to December 4, 2015. We analyzed the data with frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test. One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, Regression analysis by using SPSS. Results: Clinical practice satisfaction between grades according to the general characteristics of the study subjects was analyzed and as a result, clinical practice satisfaction showed a significant difference depending on grade (t=-2.355, p=.019), major satisfaction(F=9.548, p=.000), health status(F=4.909, p=.008). The problem solving ability according to the general characteristics of the study subjects was compared and as a result, the problem solving ability score of students 'living apart from their family or living in lodgings' was found to be higher than that of students 'living with their family' (p=.023) and the problem solving ability of students who answered 'satisfied' with their major was higher than that of students who answered 'moderate' (p=.000). As the problem solving ability and major satisfaction are higher and health status is better, clinical practice satisfaction showed higher results (p<.01). Conclusions: The above results showed a correlation between the problem solving ability and clinical practice satisfaction of dental hygiene students and clinical practice satisfaction showed higher scores as the problem solving ability level was higher. Therefore, efforts to enhance dental hygiene students' clinical practice satisfaction are considered necessary by developing and providing a program to strengthen students' problem solving ability.

'생각하는 과학' 프로그램의 변인활동이 초등학생의 변인통제 능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of the Variable Activities in the 'Thinking Science' Program on the Ability of Variable-Controlling of Elementary School Students)

  • 형식적인 사고를 가능하게 하는 논리적 사고력의 형성 가능성에 대한 기초적인 연구 활동의 하나로, '생각하는 과학' 프로그램에 있는 변인통제 활동의 학습효과를 조사하였다. 초등학교 5학년 306명의 학생들이 연구에 참가하였으며, 같은 분량의 사간에 실험반에서는 교육과정에 따른 과학 교과 수업과 변인통제 활동을 병행하였고, 통제반에서는 과학교과 수업만을 수행하였다. 연구 초기에 논리적 사고력 검사와 변인통제 검사를 이용하여 사전 상태를 비교하고, 한 학기 동안 변인통제 활동 6개를 12차시에 걸쳐 진행하면서, 처치별, 성별, 인지수준별 학습효과를 알아보았다. 처치활동은 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 변인통제능력 신장에 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 변인통제능력의 하위요소별로 분석한 결과, 특별히 실험조건 통제, 변인측정과 결과변인 학습에 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났고, 원인변인 학습효과도 다소 있는 것으로 나타났다. 남 여학생들의 사전 변인통제능력을 비교한 결과 여학생들이 월등히 높은 점수를 보였다. 변인통제 학습 후 남 여학생들 모두에게 거의 같은 정도로 우수한 학습효과가 나타났으며, 통제반에서 차이가 더 벌어진 반면, 실험반에서는 그 격차가 좁혀졌다. 학생들의 인지수준에 따란 변인통제 학습효과를 분석한 결과, 모든 인지수준에서 실험반 학생들의 변인 통제능력이 상당히 향상되었다. 특히 전기 구체적 조작기, 중기 구체적 조작기와 후기 구체적 조작기에 있는 학생들의 변인통제능력은 크게 향상되었다. 변인판별 능력은 전기 구체적 조작기, 중기 구체적 조작기와 후기 구체적 조작기에 있는 학생들이 거의 같은 정도의 우수한 발전을 보여주었으며, 실험설계 능력은 모든 수준에서 상당히 향상되었다. '생각하는 과학'의 변인통제 활동과 같은 형태의 학습내용을 현행 학교 과학교육에 적극적으로 도입해볼 필요가 있다.

Identifying the Significance of Factors Affecting Creep of Concrete: A Probabilistic Analysis of RILEM Database

  • Modeling creep of concrete has been one of the most challenging problems in concrete. Over the years, research has proven the significance of creep and its ability to influence structural behavior through loss of prestress, violation of serviceability limit states or stress redistribution. Because of this, interest in modeling and simulation of creep has grown significantly. A research program was planned to investigate the significance of different factors affecting creep of concrete. This research investigation is divided into two folds: first, an in-depth study of the RILEM creep database and development of a homogenous database that can be used for blind computational analysis. Second: developing a probabilistic Bayesian screening method that enables identifying the significance of the different factors affecting creep of concrete. The probabilistic analysis revealed a group of interacting parameters that seem to significantly influence creep of concrete.

음원주파수 판별을 위한 PVDF 음향센서 (A PVDF Acoustic Sensor for Identifying Sound Source Frequencies)

  • An acoustic sensor using PVDF film is proposed in this paper. And its properties, such as sensitivity level, identification of sound source frequencies. and directivity, were experimented. Sensitivity level measured at the distance of 1[m] was limited in the range of ${\pm}$10dB. Adjacent three frequencies were also tested to identify the frequency of sound sources. In the range of audible frequencies, it could distinguish the frequencies of a complex sound. In addition, it was found that the sensor outputs were maximum in the coincided direction with a source, when directivity was experimented with three sound sources and FFT. The proposed PVDF film sensor has good characteristics of directivity and identifying ability as an acoustic sensor.
