유체-구조 유탄성 연성운동 측정해석 (Measurements and Analysis on Hydroelastic Flow-Structure Interactions)

  • Experimental analyses on the Hydroelastic Flow-Structure Interactions on pulsed impinged jet is measured with the FSIMS(Flow-Structure Interaction Measurement System. The nozzle diameter is D=15mm and two major experiments have been carried out for the cases of the distance between the nozzle tip to the elastic wall is 6.0. The pulsed jets were controlled by a solenoid valve and were impinged onto an elastic plate (material: silicon, diameter: 350mm, thickness: 0.5mm, hardness: 15). The Reynolds numbers were 20,000 and 24,000 when the jets were impinged with the volume velocities. The results showed that the elastic plate moved slightly to the opposite direction of the jet direction at the time of valve opening. It has been shown that the vortices travelling over the surface of the wall made the elastic wall distorted locally due to a vector forces between rotating forces of the vortex and a newly-incoming flow.

  • This paper dealt with an experimental study on the hydroelastic vibration of clamped perforated rectangular plates submerged in water. The penetration of holes in the plates had a triangular pattern with P/D (pitch to diameter) 1.750, 2.125, 2.500, 3.000 and 3.750. The natural frequencies of the perforated plates in air were obtained by the analytical method based on the relation between the reference kinetic and maximum potential energies and compared with the experimental results.   • This paper deals with a theoretical method to calculate natural frequencies of a fixed-free rectangular tank partially in contact with an outer water gap. Orthogonal polynomials satisfying the boundary conditions of the tank are used as admissible functions in the Rayleigh-Ritz method. A quarter model of the liquid-coupled system is constructed and it is simplified to a line supported flat plate in contact with the liquid. The liquid displacement potential functions satisfying the Laplace equation and water boundary conditions are derived, and the finite Fourier transform is accomplished in conjunction with the compatibility requirement along the contacting interfaces between the tank and water. An eigenvalue problem is derived so that the natural frequencies of the wet rectangular tank can be extracted. The predictions from the proposed analytical method show good agreement with the finite element analysis results.

  • In the vibration analysis of submerged or floating bodies such as ships and offshore structures, the coupled system between fluid and structure should be considered using the compatibility conditions on the wetted surface. It is well known that the hydroelastic vibration analysis of structures in contact with fluid can be done by applying the finite element method(FEM) to structures and the boundary element method(BEM) to the fluid domain. However, such an approach is impractical due to the characteristics of the fully coupled added mass matrix of fluid on the entire wetted surface. To overcome this difficulty, an efficient approach based on a reanalysis scheme is proposed in this paper. The proposed method can be applied for cases of higher local modes and beam-like modes for which three-dimensional reduction factors are not known. The three dimensional reduction factors are not needled and thus the restrictions can be removed in the analyses of non-beam like modes or local vibration modes by considering fluid-structure interaction. The validity and calculation efficiency of the proposed method are proved through numerical examples.

  • This paper deals with a hydroelastic vibration analysis of two rectangular plates partially coupled with a liquid, which is bounded by two plates and two rigid side walls. The wet displacement of each plate is assumed to be a combination of the modal functions of a dry uniform beam with a clamped boundary condition. As the liquid is assumed to be an ideal liquid, the displacement potential satisfying the Laplace equation is determined so that the liquid boundary conditions can meet the requirements at the rigid surfaces and the free liquid surface. The wet dynamic modal functions of each plate are expanded by using the finite Fourier transform to obtain an appropriate form of the compatibility requirement along the contacting surfaces between the plates and the liquid. The liquid-coupled natural frequencies of the plates are derived by using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. Finite element analyses using commercial software are carried out to verify the proposed theory. It is observed that the theoretical method agrees excellently with the three-dimensional finite element analyses results. The effects of the liquid depth and the liquid thickness on the normalized natural frequencies are investigated to identify the dynamic characteristics of the liquid coupled system.

Influence of torsional rigidity of flexible appendages on the dynamics of spacecrafts

  • The influence of torsional rigidity of hinged flexible appendage on the linear dynamics of flexible spacecrafts with liquid on board was analyzed by considering the spacecraft's main body as a rigid tank, its flexible appendages as two elastically supported elastic beams, and the onboard liquid as an ideal liquid. The meniscus of the liquid free surface due to surface tension was considered. Using the Lagrangian of the spacecraft's main body (rigid tank), onboard liquid, and two beams (flexible appendages) in addition to assuming the system moved symmetrically, the coupled system frequency equations were obtained by applying the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The influence of the torsional rigidity of the flexible appendages on the spacecraft's coupled vibration characteristics was primary focus of investigation. It was found that coupled vibration modes especially that of appendage considerably changed with torsion spring parameter ${\kappa}_t$ of the flexible appendage. In addition, variation of the main body displacement with system parameters was investigated.

  • 초대형 부체구조물은 파랑중 유탄성 변형이 심하게 발생하기 때문에 수평식 몰수평판과 같은 파랑에너지 흡수장치의 부가적인 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 몰수평판에 의해 야기되는 유체력 간섭현상이 폰툰형 부체구조물에 작용하는 라디에이션 유체력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 수치적인 해석을 통하여 그 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 폰툰형 부체구조물과 몰수평판의 상하운동에 의해 발생하는 라디에이션 유체력을 계산하기 위해 고정격자계와 이동격자계로 구성되는 중합격자법을 토대로 한 수치계산법을 개발한다. 또한 쇄파현상과 같은 비선형성이 강한 자유표면 문제를 해결하기 위하여 유한차분법을 적용하여 시뮬레이션을 실시하고 그 결과를 실험데이터와 비교함으로서 수치계산법의 신뢰성을 확인한다. 몰수평판에 의해 발생하는 유체력 간섭 영향의 특성을 분석하여 부체구조물의 파랑중 유탄성 변형에 미치는 그 효과에 대하여 논의한다.

  • Recently, with the increase in requirements for marine development, a marine urbanism is being visualized, with more and more huge-scale structures at the scope of the ocean space utilization. In particular, a pontoon-type structure has attracted attention, since The Floating Structures Association of Japan proposed a new concept as the most suitable one of floating airports. The Very Lage Floating Structure (VLFS) is considered a flexible structure, for a quite large length-to-breadth ratio and its geometrical flexibility. The main objective of this study is to makean exact and convenient prediction about the hydro-elastic response on very large offshore structures in waves. The numerical approach for the hydro-elastic responses is based on the combination of the three dimensional source distribution method and the dynamic response analysis method, which assumed a dividing pontoon type structure, as many rigid bodies connected elastic beam elements. The established hydo-elastic theory was applied to the radiation forces caused by motions of a whole structure, formulated using the global coordinate system, which has the origin at the center of the structure. However, in this paper, we took radiation forces, occurred by individual motions of floating bodies, into consideration. The calculated results show good agreement with the experimental and calculated results by Yago.

파랑중 유연한 그물망의 응답특성 해석 (Analysis on Response Characteristics of a Flexible Net Sheet in Waves)

  • 유탄성이론과 고유함수전개법에 기초하여 규칙파중 유연한 그물망의 동적거동과 파랑하중을 살펴보았다. 그물망은 일정한 잠긴깊이를 가지고 수직으로 설치되어 있으며, 상단 끝은 수면에 고정되어 있고 하단 끝은 추에 연결되어 있다. 초기장력이 충분히 크다고 가정하여 장력의 동적 성분을 무시하였다. 유연한 그물망에서의 경계조건식은 투과효과를 나타내는 Darcy의 법칙과 유연성을 나타내는 물체 경계조건식이 결합된 형태이다. 개발된 해석모델은 불투과성/투과성 수직판과 유연막 모델로 확장이 가능하다. 해석모델을 이용하여 여러 설계변수(파랑특성, 공극율, 잠긴깊이, 초기장력)들의 변화가 그물망의 파랑하중과 거동특성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • 선박이나 해양구조물과 같은 접수구조물의 진동해석은 구조계와 유체계를 연성시켜 접수면에서의 적합조건을 만족시키는 해를 구하게 된다. 잘 알려진 바와 같이 이러한 유력탄성해석은 구조계는 유한요소법을, 유체계는 경계요소법을 적용하여 두 계를 연성시켜 효과적으로 풀 수 있는데, 이 방법은 부가수질량 행렬의 모든 자유도가 접수면에 완전연성되어 있기 때문에 실용화하기에는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와같은 단점을 보완하기 위해서 재해석방범에 기초한 유체-구조 연성진동 해석방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법은 전통적으로 보거동 진동해석에 사용해 온 2차원 부가수질량과 3차원 수정계수 J를 이용한 비연성 진동해석 방법과 비교해 볼때, 3차원 수정계수 J의 고려없이 보거동 진동은 물론 고차진동해석에 좋은 해석 결과를 보여 주었다. 이 방법의 타당성과 계산 효율성을 수치예를 통해 입증하였다.
