Let G = (V, E) be a graph with chromatic number ${\chi}(G)$. dominating set D of G is called a chromatic transversal dominating set (ctd-set) if D intersects every color class of every ${\chi}$-partition of G. The minimum cardinality of a ctd-set of G is called the chromatic transversal domination number of G and is denoted by ${\gamma}_{ct}$(G). In this paper we characterize the class of trees, unicyclic graphs and cubic graphs for which the chromatic transversal domination number is equal to the connected domination number.

Science, technology, society and humanities (STSH) fusion research is aimed at creating new research areas and methods that can resolve complicated issues in society that cannot be solved by a single academic discipline. This study identifies initiatives that can promote STSH fusion research in Korea. We review the definition and characteristics of STSH fusion research to analyze the necessity of STSH fusion research with a focus on the structural changes in the S&T environment. The emergence and diffusion of generic technologies, transition to post catch-up innovation mode, and the evolution of policy to the third generation innovation policy are identified as notable changes. This paper briefly reviews the status of fusion research underway and presents initiatives to promote STSH fusion research.

본 연구는 지시사가 문맥에서 이미 언급된 개체를 대용하여 지시하는 문맥지시의 경우에 각 언어별로 어떠한 지시자가 사용되며 이들의 분포는 어떠한 양식을 보이는지를 한국어, 영어, 러시아어, 서반아어를 대상으로 살펴본 것이다. 영어에서는 근칭/원칭 지시사가 직시적인 용법에서의 의미를 비교적 유지하면서 고르게 분포하는 반면 한국어, 러시아어, 서반아어 등은 좀 더 자주 사용되는 형태와 그렇지 못한 형태의 무표/유표적인 분포를 보인다. 이러한 각 언어에서 보여주는 다양한 지시사 분포양식을 인지상태와 화자의 관심의 중심이라는 측면에서 재조명하여 비교, 대조 분석함으로써 유표적인 형태에 대한 유형론적 의미를 모색한다.

Indications of Galgeunhaegi-tang(葛根解肌湯) for Taeeum-type on "Donguisusebowon" are small. Therefore, indications of Galgeunhaegi-tang for Taeeum-type need to be extended for broader clinical use. There would be some methods to do that, and we could review "Dongeuibogam" that Four-Constitution Medicine formulas are based on. We reviewed Galgeunhaegi-tang, which is the origin of Galgeunhaegi-tang, and their modified formula(加減方) on "Dongeuibogam". As a result, we supposed 10 indications of non-classical formula(後世方) Galgeunhaegi-tang as possible indications of Galgeunhaegi-tang for Taeeum-type.

Three dimensional flow above a sand dune has been studied numerically by using Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) method. The movement of the sand which is formed by converging wind directions has been investigated. The numerical method employed in this study can be divided into three parts: (i) calculation of the air flow above the sand dune using MAC method with a generalized coordinate system; (ii) estimation of the sand transfer caused by the flow through the friction; (iii) determination of the shape of the sand surface. Since the computational area has been changed due to step (iii), (i)­(iii) are repeated. The simulated dune, which has initially elliptic cross section, extending at the converging direction which is known as linear dunes.

The association of silybin with ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin and its influence on silybin's binding with bovine serum albumin are reported. The stoichiometry, binding constant, and the structure of silybin-${\beta}$-cyclodextrin inclusion complex are reported. The titrations of silybin with bovine serum albumin in the absence and presence of ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin are carried out and the differences in binding strengths are discussed. Molecular modeling is used to optimize the sites and mode of binding of silybin with bovine serum albumin. F$\ddot{o}$rster resonance energy transfer is calculated and the proximity of interacting molecules is reported in the presence and absence of ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin.

This study investigated student engagement of STEM-specialized higher education institutions in comparison with students from humanities & social science and STEM majors, respectively. By doing so, the study aimed to find the effects of the characteristics of STEM disciplines and organizational culture of STEM-specialized small-sized institutions on student engagement. The students majoring STEM disciplines, regardless of the organizational types, showed lower reflective-integrative learning experiences compared to students on humanities & social science disciplines. In contrast, students of STEM-specialized institutions reported significantly higher levels of peer relationship and student-faculty interaction in comparison with humanities & social science students and STEM students of general higher education institutions. Finally, the study suggests policy implications for STEM education.

Recently, Parmar [5] introduced a new extension of the ${\tau}$-Gauss hypergeometric function $_2R^{\tau}_1(z)$. The main object of this paper is to study this extended ${\tau}$-Gauss hypergeometric function and obtain its properties including connection with modified Bessel function of third kind and extended generalized hypergeometric function, several contiguous relations, differential relations, integral transforms and elementary integrals. Various special cases of our results are also discussed.

Objectives : The main aims of this study were to identify candidate anti-aging herbal formulae(CAHF) from Dongeuibogam. Methods : We analyzed the terms describing effect of 3,901 herbal formulae on Dongeuibogam and selected the terms describing the anti-aging effect of herbal formulae(TAEHF). Finally, we generated a list of CAHFs based on TAEHFs. Results & Conclusions : 1. We finally selected 162 TAEHFs on Dongeuibogam. 2. We finally selected 138 CAHFs on Dongeuibogam(15CAHFs for external use, 123CAHFs for internal use). 3. TAEHFs are classified into 9 types. 4. CAHFs are classified into 9 types.

The condensation of cyclic ketone with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of ammonium acetate under ethanol media affords the corresponding 5-aryl-7,8,13,14-tetrahydrodibenzo[a,i]phenanthridine with excellent yield. This mild and efficient procedure with high yield is also applied to the synthesis of 2,4-diaryl-6,7-benzo-3-azabicyclo- [3.3.1]nonan-9-ones and ${\alpha},{\alpha}{$’-bis(substituted benzylidene)cycloalkanones.
