Background and Objectives Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is used widely to promote hair growth in androgenetic alopecia (AGA). This study examined the clinical efficacy and safety of a home-use LLLT device with a newly designed array of light sources and software optimized for individual types of AGA. Materials and Methods The study was a randomized, double-blind, sham device-controlled trial. Forty-eight subjects (39 men and nine women) were assigned randomly in a 2:1 ratio to use either the test device (LG Pra'L HGN1, LG electronics, Korea) or sham device. The subjects used the LLLT device three times a week for 16 weeks. Phototrichogram was used to measure the hair density and hair thickness at 0, 8, and 16-weeks. Adverse events were closely monitored. Results After 16 weeks of using the device, the test group showed a significant increase in hair density and hair thickness compared to the control. In the test group, the hair density increased 6.96 counts/cm2 at eight weeks and 13.67 counts/cm2 at 16 weeks from the baseline. The hair thickness increased 7.21 ㎛ at eight weeks and 11.80 ㎛ at 16 weeks compared to the baseline. Conclusion The home-use LLLT device with a novel array of light sources and an individualized program according to the types of hair loss appears to be an effective and safe treatment modality for both male and female AGA patients.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the consciousness, knowledge and food preferences for the Korean traditional foods, using a questionnaire survey for 560 high school students in seoul. The data were analyzed with simple frequency, percentage, t-test, chi-square test, dispersion analysis, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical multiple-regression analysis using the SPSS/PC+ Package system. The results of the survey are summarized as follows ; Girls showed a more interest in Korean traditional foods than boys. The motive of having interest in korean traditional foods were through mass communication or home education. Most of students were preffered korean traditional foods and were proud of native foods. The most preffered foods were Kim-chi and beverage. and they thought that color, appearance, foodstuff combination of Korean traditional foods were better than those of foreign foods. they showed a tendency to decrease the use Korean traditional foods because it is difficult to cook and they have little time to cook. They have taken more Korean traditional foods at home. Most students were responded that it is necessary to develope Korean traditional foods at home for the succeeding of korean dietary life culture. For the idea of improving Korean traditional foods, it is thought that simplified cooking method, new cooking method and fastfood is developed.
The purposes of this study were (a) to compare the level of sense of community and community activity of the mixed-use residential buildings' residents with the expected residents for the mixed-use residential building, (b) and to investigate the degree of their needs of social interaction. For the survey the questionnaire from 176 residents of mixes-use residential building in Seoul, and 67 expected residents in Bundang Newtown are used. The analytical methods adopted in this study were frequency, percentage, chi-square test and t-test. It was found that the level of sense of community and the community activities of the mixed-use residential building' residents were higher than those of the expected residents. Their residents reported higher degree of participation on community activities than the expected residents. It was also found that the common space in their residential area promoted the residents' sense of community and community activity.

The purpose of this study is to find out practical teaching material about$\boxdr$Cloth$\boxul$part of home economics course in highschool and prove it's effect on learning as the result of applying to teaching and learning activities. The objects of this study were 144 first grade students of Puyo girl's high school located in Puyo county of Chung-nam province. They were identified to have the same quality through such inspections as intelligence quotient and previous scholastic ability test. Experiment group is composed of 72 students of two class in first grade and those students utilized swatch. Controlled group is also made up of 72 students like experiment group and they didn't use swatch. The procedure of this study was as follows : First we collected the real clothing material which was necessary in $\boxdr$Cloth$\boxul$part of high school home economics and made teaching plan that could be used to make use of swatch. In this study. we first seek the averages and variations to know how much is the influence of using real things as the studying materials on the class. Then we verified the level of attention to compare and the level of student's schoolwork accomplishment. interest and attitude between experiment group that used the swatch and controlled group who didn't use those material. The result of this study are as follow : 1) After using swatch. students'attitude toward receiving information was getting better. 2) Students'interest toward$\boxdr$Cloth$\boxul$part was getting higher. 3) Scholastic accomplishment of experimental group became higher than that of controlled group.
This study examined the vocabulary competence of institutionalized and home-reared 6- and 7-year-old children with the use of the Revised Picture Vocabulary Test(Dunn & Dunn, 1981; Korean version, Kim et al., 1995), administered to 113 institutionalized children and 124 middle class home-reared children. Results indicated that the vocabulary competence of institutionalized children was inferior to that of home-reared children. Children who had lived in an institution for two years or more scored lower than those who had been institutionalized for a shorter time. 7-year-olds scored higher than 6-year-olds, regardless of institutionalization. Home-reared girls scored higher than home-reared boys, but there was no sex difference between institutionalized children. These findings suggest that efforts should be directed toward improving the linguistic environment of institutionalized children.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of perceived risk and the use of information sources respectively in clothing-purchase and ; study the correlations between the two variables and also ; study how the socioeconomic status impacts on the use of information sources. The questionnaires were administered to a sample of 393 housewives living in Seoul. For statistical analysis, the Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficients, analysis of variance, and Neuman-keul's test were used. The results were as follows : 1) There were significant differences in the types of perceived risk, reviewing these by clothing use and fashion Stage. 2) There were significant differences in the use of information sources, reviewing these by clothing use and fashion stage. 3) There were significant correlations between the types of Perceived risk and the use of information sources, reviewing these by clothing use and fashion stage. 4) In each fashion stage, there were partly significant differences in the types of perceived risk, reviewing these by SES. 5) In each fashion stage, there were partly significant differences in the use of information sources, reviewing these by SES.

The purpose of this study is to understand the types of risk consumers feel when they shop at home and to compare their feelings with the perceived risk when they shop at stores and the kinds of clothing frequently purchased at home. For this study, the data were collected through the questionnaire distributed to 692 carried and unmarried women. The analysis was done through the t-test, ANOVA and regression. The results are as follows . 1) Compared to those shopping at stores, at-home shoppers perceived a higher risk in eight kinds of clothing. 2) Compared to shopping at stores, product performance risk, psychological risk and time loss risk increased dramatically Among these, the time loss risk showed the most noticeable increase. 3) When the perceived risk was low for a certain item, it was more often shopped at home. Among the perceived risk types, the lower the financial risk and the time loss risk, the item was more frequently shopped at home. 4) Together with store shopping, the perceived risks when shopping at home differed according the use of clothing. 5) The at-home purchase intentions were higher in the order of at-home wear, casual wear and dress/suit. The higher the price and the more important the fit was, shopping at home was more difficult.
This study analyzed the effect of parent-child communication and peer relationship on children's internet addiction. The subjects were 642 elementary school students living in Daejeon city. Cronbach's $\alpha$, t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan's test were employed in analyzing the data by using SPSS 10.0. The findings of this study were as follows First, the boys were more addicted to internet use than the girls, as were the children of less educated parents. The children of parents with professional careers were less addicted to the internet. The children who perceived their school achievements as low were more addicted to the internet. Second, the children who spent more time daily, longer time at once and more frequently per weekly internet use were more addicted. Third, internet addiction was influenced tv parent-child communication and peer relationship. Boys who had more problem communications with their parents less open communication with their mother and a lower level of peer support were more addicted to the internet. The problem of communication with their mother and conflict in their peer relationship had more influence on the internet addiction of girls.
The aims of this study are to classify the life styles of urban housewives, to see their relationship between life style and demorgaphic variables, and also to see the relationship between life style and dietary patterns. This study has been performed by a questionsire about life style, demographic variables and dietary pattern. The selected samples were 475 housewives. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, Duncan test, X-test and F-test. Life style is classified into 4 types: temporary enjoying type, passive irrational type, realistic conservative type, actual progressive type. The housewives who are in temporary enjoying type usually do randomly and don't think seriously something. And they have tendency to enjoy themselves. Therefore they don't have any plan for dietary behavior. The passive irrational type's housewives have no consistancy in their life and they do everything temporarily. The housewives who are in this type have relatively low incom, low level of education and they are high in age. The people who are in realistic conservative type act reasonably and elastically everything. They use convenient food very much, because they are willing to save time to make them. The housewives who are included in actual progressive type are well organized and planned in dietary behavior than others, when they dine out, they eat with family together in general, they usually use only a kind of western sauces and convenient food. They are relatively young, highly educated, and they are high income group. In conclusion realistic conservative type and actual progressive type are both relatively desirable type in dietary behavior, but in temporary enjoying type and passive irrational type, there, have to do some guide and education about managing family resources and dietary behavior.

The purpose of this study is to find out how middle and high school girls show their clothing attitudes and their life-style. clothing behavior. use their ornaments according to demographic variables. The subject of this study consists o 345 middle and high school girls living in Chung-Nam Province and Taejon Metropolitan City. SPSS/PC+ program was utilized to calculate frequency(N) mean value(M) and standard deviation (SD) for statistical analysis. Differences among the populations are examined through t-test. F-test and X2-test. The results of this study are as follow : 1. Correlation between the life style and demographic variables. Especially. life-style has significant difference(p<. 05) according to type of school. middle school girls have high tendency in the type of modern and fashion. Life-style has significant difference(p< .01) according to level of achievement studying, high level girls has high tendency in the type of practical and secure. 2. Correlation between the clothing behavior and demographic variables. According to type of school. middle school girls showed higher than high school girls in clothing conformity and clothing aesthetics. According to level of achievement studying, high level girls have high tendency in clothing conformity and clothing modesty. 3. Correlation between the use their ornaments and demographic variables. Buying the ornaments, higher-level achievement studying girl’s get information in show window. but lower-level achievement studying girl’s get information in TV or radio. The use of ornaments according to the site of school, most of school girls who live in small city or town use the ornaments as usual school life but school girls who live in big city use the ornaments to look good on their clothes. Following suggestions can be made based on the discussions above: It is necessary for us to have correct understanding about the correlation between the ornaments and clothing of school girls in order to lead them to have appropriate clothing behavior. Furthermore. it is required to construct a bridge linking a course of study to rational habits guidance which will provide us more appropriate tools for clothing behavior guidance.
