취학전 유아의 가정환경자극 및 양육효능감과 가족건강성과의 관계 (The Study of Home Environment Stimulation Of Preschool Children, Parenting Self-Efficacy and Family Health of the Mothers)

  • 본 연구는 부천시와 인천시에 소재하는 유아교육기관에 재원하고 있는 유아 569명과 그 어머니를 대상으로 하였다. 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니를 대상으로 사회인구학적 배경에 따른 가정환경자극 및 양육효능감과 가족 건강성의 차이 및 관계를 알아보고, 초기경험의 기초가 되는 가족의 중요성과 역할을 재인식하여 부모교육의 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 첫째, 사회인구학적 변인(어머니의 교육수준, 취업유무, 가정의 월소득)에 따른 가정환경자극, 양육효능감과 가족건강성의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 어머니의 교육수준이 대졸이상인 집단이고 취업한 어머니이며, 월소득이 300만원 이상인 가정의 가정환경자극, 양육효능감, 가족건강성이 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 가정환경자극 및 양육효능감과 가족건강성의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 가정환경자극 및 양육효능감은 가족건강성의 하위영역간에는 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가족건강성에 영향을 미치는 변인과 상대적 영향력을 알아보기 위해 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 가정의 월소득이 높고 가정환경자극이 풍부하며 어머니의 의사소통 효능감이 높을수록 가족건강성이 높으며, 어머니의 양육효능감이 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다.

  • This study examined the characteristics of the relationship of HOME, socio-demographic variables and children's intellectual and social abilities. The subjects of this study were 80 children at age four and their mothers. Instruments included inventory of home stimulation (HOME) and the inventory of socio-demographic variables and K-Binet scale, social naturation scale, and the social-emotional developmental rating scale. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1. HOME, socio-demographic variables had a significant positive correlation (.37∼..66) with children's intellectual ability. 2. HOME, Socio-demographic variables had a significant positive correlation(.26∼..67) with children's social ability. 3. The variables that significantly predicted children's intellectual ability were play materials, breadth of experience and quality of langage environment. 4. The variables that significantly predicted children's social ability were play materials, economic status of the home and parent education. 5. The results of the causal model showed that the kind of variables that affected children's intellectual ability directly were direct stimulation, parent's education, indirect stimulation, and the emotional climate of the home. 6. The results of the analysis of the causal model showed that the kind of variables that affected children's social ability directly were direct stimulation, parent's education, economic status of the home.

  • This study investigated the dagree of stimulation of home environments for preschool children in Seoul. Inchon Yangpyung and Kimpo area. The subjects of this study were 394 mothers. Instruments included the inventory of home stimulation (HOME) for preschool children. 아동의 자기능력지각과 관련변인데 관한 분석 (An Analysis of the Children′s Perceived Competences and the Related Variables)

  • This study investigated the children's perceived competences and other variables that are related to areas, children and the home. The subjects of this study were 183 elementary school children enrolled in grade 3 and their mothers. Instruments included the inventory of home stimulation(HOME), the perceived competences scale for children. The main results obtained from this study were as follows : The degree of children's perceived competences differd according to areas(urban and rural), children's sex, birth order, mother's education, father's education, mother's employment satisfaction, income of the family, type of the family. And the children's perceived competences and the home environment stimulation were a positive correlation. Especially HOME and areas(urban and rural) were important variables that effects children's perceived competences.

가정환경 자극검사(HOME)와 학령전 아동의 발달 수준과의 관계 (The Relationship of HOME to Preschool Children's Developmental Levels)

  • This study examined the characteristics of the relationship of home environment variables and preschool children's intelligence, learning readiness and socio-emotional developments. The subjects of this study were 63 children at age five and their mothers. Instruments included the children's intelligence test, preschool inventory for learning readiness, the socio-emtional rating scale and the inventory of HOME. The data of the present study were analyzed by the statistical methods of Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient and step-wise multiple regression analysis. The kinds of HOME variables that significantly predict children's intelligence were "need gratification and avoidance of restriction" "quality of language environment" "play materials" "aspects of physical environment" "organization of stable and predictable environment". The variables that significantly predict children's socio-emotional developments were "breath of experience" "fostering maturity and independence" "developmental stimulation". All of the HOME variables were not significantly predict children's learning readiness. The kinds of HOME factors that significantly predict children's intelligence were factor II and factor III. Factor I predicted children's socio-emotional developments significantly. All of the HOME factors were not significantly predicted children's learning readiness.

다문화가족 자녀 어머니의 개인변인에 따른 가정환경 (Mother's Personal Variables in Multicultural Family on Home Environment)

  • 본 연구는 만 3세에서 6세 다문화가족 자녀 어머니의 개인변인에 따라 가정에서 자녀에게 제시하는 가정환경에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 국적에 따른 가정환경의 차이를 살펴보면 정서적 분위기, 경험의 다양성, 놀이 자료에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연령에 따른 가정환경의 차이에서는 허용성, 독립성의 육성, 정서적 분위기, 경험의 다양성, 물리적 환경에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학력에 따른 가정환경의 차이에서는 안정된 환경, 발달을 돕는 자극, 언어적 환경의 질, 독립성의 육성, 정서적 분위기, 경험의 다양성, 물리적 환경, 놀이 자료에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 가정 내 의사소통방법에 따른 가정환경의 차이에서는 모든 변인에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 직업유무에 따른 가정환경의 차이에서는 모든 변인에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

아동용 가정환경 척도 개발 연구: 초등학교 저학년 아동을 대상으로 (Development of a Korean Home Environment Scale for Middle Childhood Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a scale to assess a Korean home environment for middle childhood children. The subjects were 283 mothers of 6- to 8-year-old children in Korea. The method for data analysis included Mean, SD, $x^2$, Cramer's V, factor analysis, Pearson correlations, and Cronbach's $\alpha$. As a result, 45 items of the scale were found to be satisfactory in terms of item distribution and item discrimination(Cramer's discriminant coefficients ranged from .256-.615). Four factors with 21 items were extracted from the factor analysis. Subscales were 'academic stimulation(9)', 'acceptance(4)', 'child-centered environment(4)', 'basic care for daily routine(4)'. Analysis of the relation of this scale to SES, MC-HOME, and children's developmental functioning(cognitive, language, and social) showed acceptable concurrent validity. Internal consistency of this scale was high, including internal reliability of subscales. These results confirm this scale as a valid and reliable measure of the Korean home environment for middle childhood children.

취학전 아동을 위한 창의적 가정환경 척도 개발 (Development of a Creative Home Environment Scale for Preschool Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a scale to access a creative home environment for preschool children and to examine its validity and reliability. The subjects were 296 children aged 5 to 6 years(148 males and 148 females) and their parents. The methods for data analysis included item analysis, factor analysis for construct validity, Pearson correlations between the rating scale for creative characteristics of preschoolers(RSCCP) and this scale for concurrent validity, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for reliability. The 44 items of the scale were found be satisfactory in terms of item response distribution and item discrimination. Four factors were extracted from the factor analysis: the subscales labelled 'respect for the child', 'enriched learning environment', 'stimulation of independence' and 'family pressure'. The concurrent validity of this scale was accessed by computing the correlation measures of RSCCP with this scale. Most coefficients were significant. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ ranged from.75 to.86 for the 4 subscales and.85 for the total scale.

  • The Outdoor space is an essential element among healing environments for older people. The purpose of this study is to identify outdoor design issues which can improve the health conditions of the elderly living in nursing home. At first, the design principles of outdoor space for the mentally ill have been collected from the literature survey. Secondary, outdoor design requirements for the care program in nursing homes have been explored. Thirdly, good design elements have been collected from 6 nursing homes which have good outdoor space. Finally, Basic design principles of outdoor space of nursing homes in which older people with dementia live have been proposed by analysis and synthesis on the three stages before. As a result of this study, 6 dimensions in architectural planning of outdoor space for nursing homes have been presented : safety environment, various sensual stimulation, social interactions, support physical ability, accessibility, meditation.

익숙함을 이용한 다감각적 자극 프로그램의 효과: 시설 입소 치매 노인 (Effects of Multisensory Stimulation Using Familiarity: Persons with Dementia in Long-term Care Facility in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of multisensory stimulation (MSS) using familiarity on persons with dementia (PWDs) residing in nursing homes in Korea. Methods: A nonequivalent control group with pre and posttests was used. Fifty one PWDs were included if they: 1) were over 65 yr old, 2) were diagnosed with dementia, 3) had no visual or speech impairments, 4) were able to communicate, and 5) had spent more than one month in a nursing home. The experimental group (n=25) received a 55 min MSS program twice a week for 10 weeks. The outcome variables included were cognition, activities of daily living, grip strength, depression, wandering, and aggressive behaviors. Repeated ANOVA was used for data analysis. Results: There were no significant differences in demographics or the main variables at pretest. Cognition, depression, wandering, and aggressive behaviors were significant over time between the two groups. Grip strength was only significant when accounting for interaction between group and time. Conclusion: An intervention of MSS using familiarity was marginally effective in improving cognition, depression, wandering, and aggression. Future study is suggested with a larger sample and longer treatment to retest the effects of MSS.
