A Study on the High-Accuracy Power Meter and Reliability Verification Plan (고정밀 전력미터의 개발과 신뢰성 확보 방안에 대한 연구)

  • We propose a design method of high accuracy power measuring device and the method of securing the reliability of the measured data. As a design method for the development of the high accuracy power measuring device, the circuit was made by reflecting the high accuracy power measuring ICs and the CT (Current Transformer). To ensure the reliability of the power meter, we requested to the watt-hour meter certified testing organization to measure the error rate, and the error rate of active power based on the "Wattmeter Technical Standard(Revision notify 2014-283)" was measure, and the error rate was confirmed to be less than 0.1%.

  • We have developed a low-power, high slew-rate OP-AMP for large size and high resolution TFT-LCDs which have 8${\mu}$A quiescent current with settling time less than 6${\mu}$sec. The proposed OP-AMP contains newly developed the driving circuit of class-AB output stage which can achieve a low quiescent current less than 8${\mu}$A and a slew-rate higher than 3.14V/${\mu}$sec.

Factors Influencing Smartphone Addiction in High School Students in B city (B시 고등학생의 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose of this study was conducted to investigate the factors influencing smartphone addiction of high school students. The data were collected from 351 high school students in B city and analyzed with t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression by using SPSS 18.0 program. The smartphone addiction rate was 20.8%, which the high risk group rate was 8.5% and potential risk group rate was 12.3%. The significant factors of smartphone addiction were using time in weekend, accident in using smartphone, aggression, depression, attachment to peer and behavior control of learning attitude. And these factors explained 33.4% of the variance in smartphone addiction. In conclusion, the results from this study indicated a need to develop the intervention program to prevent smartphone addiction.

Prediction of High Temperature Plastic Deformation Variables on Al 6061 Alloy (Al 6061 합금의 고온 소성변형 조건의 예측)

  • The high temperature behavior of Al 6061 alloy was characterized by the hot torsion test in the temperature ranges of 400∼550℃ and the strain rate ranges of 0.05∼5/sec. To decide optimum deformation condition, three types of deformation maps were individually made from the critical strain (εc). deformation resistance(σp) and deformation efficiency (η). The critical strain(εc) for dynamic recrystallization (DRX) which was decided from the inflection point of strain hardening rate(θ) - effective stress (σ) curve was about 0.65 times of peak strain (εp). The relationship among deformation resistance (peak stress, σp), strain rate (ε), and temperature (T) could be expressed by ε=2.9×1013[sinh(0.0256σp]7.3exp (-216,000/RT). The deformation efficiency (η)which was calculated on the basis of the dynamic materials model (DMM) showed high values at the condition of 500∼550℃, 5/sec for 100% strain. The results from three deformation maps were compared with microstructures. The best condition of plastic deformation could be determined as 500℃ and 5/sec.

  • This paper proposes a method that enables us to implement the recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm at, high throughput rate using fewer processing elements (PEs). It is known that the pipeline processing can provide a high throughput rate. But, pipelining is effective only when enough number of PEs are available. The proposed method achieves high throughput rate using a few PEs. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulations on programmable digital signal processors (in the following, DSP processors).

  • The characteristics of constitutive equations, for hydrocodes, were Investigated by the comparison between the smoothed particle hydrodynamcis simulation and the experiment of rod impact test which resulted in a deformation history of impacting front where high strain and high strain rate dominate. The constitutive equations used in the simulation Is J-C(Johnson-Cook) model, Z-A(Zerilli-Armstrong) model, and S-C-G(Steinberg-Cochran-Guinan) model. The modification of Z-A model, based on the increased effect of strain-rate hardening, showed better correlation with expriment.

An Efficient ARQ for Multi-Hop Underwater Acoustic Channel with Long Propagation Delay and High Bit-Error Rate

  • In the underwater communications, the acoustic channel is in poor communication conditions, such as long propagation delay, narrow bandwidth, and high bit-error rate. For these bad acoustic channels, we propose an efficient automatic repeat request (ARQ) for multi-hop underwater network by using the concepts of concurrent bi-directional transmission, multiple sub-packets, and overhearing data packet instead of the acknowledgement signal. Our results show that the proposed ARQ significantly reduces the transmission latency especially in high BER compared with the existing Stop and Wait ARQ.

  • In the electrical railway, the tension ascension of contact wire is essential to speed up of train and current collection performance of catenary largely depends on the tension. The tension variation rate of the tensioning device used in existing line limits within 5%, and the tension variation rate of the spring-type tensioning device installed at the section where tensioning length is short bounds within 15%. So it is urgent for us to localize it for high speed line, which the tension variation rate is limited within 3%. Therefore in this study, a pulley-type tensioning device for high speed line is developed. To verify the performance of developed device, a performance test, overload test and failure test is carried out under the code of the Kyung-Bu High Speed line. And it is secured durability performance through a fatigue test.

Factors Associated with Influenza Vaccination Behavior Among High-Risk Adults (인플루엔자 고 위험군의 예방접종 관련요인 연구)

  • Objective: This prospective survey assessed factors associated with influenza vaccination behaviors among high-risk adults. Methods: 106 patients aged 65 or high risk for complications of influenza were interviewed to identify influencing factors to vaccination. Six potential consequences of Influenza infection and nine factors of vaccination were analysed between compliance and non-compliance groups. Results: Among the 106 patients, the vaccination rate was 62.3%. The rate of the group under the sixties was 37.0010, but the rate over the sixties was 88.5%. Factors in dependently associated with both influenza vaccination behaviors included older age, chronic disease, and especially, related to factors in older age were having positive attitudes toward immunization, perceived severity of infection and willingness to comply with the provider's recommendation. Conclusions: Emphasis on provider recommendations and the knowledge and attitudes of influenza infection and vaccination may enhance influenza vaccination rates in the organized vaccination programs.

  • In this paper, we propose two novel high-rate high-performance space-time codes for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. When $n_{T}$ transmit antennas and $n_{R}$ = $n_{T}$ receive antennas are deployed, the two proposed codes respectively offer transmission rates of ( $n_{T}$ -I) and ( $n_{T}$ - 2) symbols per channel use and diversity orders of 3 and 5. As a consequence, our proposed codes allow the MIMO systems to employ a simple detection technique based on QR decomposition. Moreover, for equal or even higher spectral efficiencies, our proposed codes always provide much better bit error rate (BER) performances than V-BLAST architecture does when $n_{R}$ = $n_{T}$.
