대학선수들이 지각하는 스포츠 지도력과 행복감의 관계 (The Relationship between Sports-Readership and Happiness in Perceived by University Athletes)

  • 연구는 대학운동선수들이 인지하는 지도자의 지도력과 행복감간의 관계를 알아보기 위해 379명의 대학운동선수들을 대상으로 분석하였다. 첫째, 대학선수들의 행복감은 부모 친지간 원만한 관계에서 가장 높은 점수를 보였다. 남자선수들이 여자 선수들에 비해 전체적으로 점수가 높았다. 둘째, 행복감의 하위요인인 성취 및 자기수용이 지도력의 모든 요인들과 유의미한 상관이 있으며, 특히 자기개발 및 목표추구와 영향력이 가장 높은 상관관계로 나타났으며, 종교와 영향력이 가장 낮은 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 대학운동선수들은 지도자의 지도력요인 중 성취지향성이 선수들의 행복감의 모든 하위요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 영향력, 자기조절력이 행복감의 하위요인에 영향을 미치고 있다. 넷째 지도력의 유연성, 대인이해, 팀워크 및 협력, 선수 지향성은 선수들의 행복감에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

Nutritional and Health Status of Korean Elderly Living in America

  • This cross-sectional study was designed to describe in nutritional and health status of the Korean elderly residing in America using demographic variables, dietary, anthropometric and functional status indicators, and to investigate possible relationships among these variables. Sixty elderly persons aged 61-91 years were assessed in their homes. Dietary intake was estimated by the 24-hour recall and brief dietary questionnaire. The following anthropometric measures were taken : weight, height, knee height, triceps skinfold, and midarm circumference. Functional status was measured by activities of daily living(ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living(IADLs) questionnaires, and a measure of psychosocial status as "happiness score"(a life satisfaction questionnaire). Intakes of energy, calcium, magnesium, folacin, vitamin B6, and zinc were low in this elderly sample. Females 75 years of age and older had extremely low energy intakes. A large percentage of subjects reported difficulty with both activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. Subjects over 75 years of age reported more difficulty than younger subjects for most activities. Gender differnces were seen in anthropometric variables and energy intake. Happiness scores were similar in subjects, regardless of age or gender, however, happiness score was significantly correlated with the energy and protein intake(p<0.05). Several difficulties were encountered during the assessment of this elderly sample. The conditions in the home were unpredictable and often inadequate for the anthropometric measures in particular. Further research is needed to improve current methodologies so that they may be more adaptable to the conditions found in homes. in homes.

영재학생과 일반학생의 성취목표지향성과 학업소진이 학교행복감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Achievement Goal Orientation of Gifted and General Students on their Academic Burnout and School Happiness)

  • The main purpose of this study is to see the differences of the achievement goal orientation, academic burnout, and school happiness between gifted and general students, and also to explore the effects on school happiness of their achievement goal orientation and academic burnout. To resolve the above research questions, this study used questionnaire method to 256 1st grade middle school students and 84 gifted students enrolled in Daegu metropolitan city. All data were analyzed by SPSS WIN 19.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, mastery goal, performance-approach goal and performance-avoidance goal of the gifted students were higher than the general students'. Second, all sub-variables of academic burnout except hostility and total score of academic burnout of the gifted students were lower than the general students. On the other hand, all sub-variables of school happiness except relationship with friends and emotional stability and total score school happiness of the gifted students were higher than the general students. Third, this study revealed that the achievement goal and academic burnout explain considerable amount of students' school happiness. In other words, the disfavor and skeptical attitude of general students for the study hinder school happiness. Lastly, this study suggest that some program or consulting need to be administerd to change the affective attitude of students into positively. And also variety of counselling program or some instructions dealing with stress for gifted students since the exhaustion of gifted students affects considerably their school happiness.

덕질활동 여부에 따른 대학생의 행복감 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Happiness between Otaku and Non-Otaku College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the happiness of otaku college students to that of non-otaku college students. Methods: Data were collected using structured questionnaires targeting college students who visited the S Fair, which displayed and promoted contents related to animation, figures, comics, music, entertainers, etc. A total of 236 college students were included in the analysis. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analyses were carried out using SPSS 24.0. Results: As a result of the study, 71 students (30.1%) were otaku. The happiness score was 43.17±8.62 for otaku, and 40.21±10.44 for non-otaku. After controlling for significant covariates (age, major, economic status, job seeking stress, depression, life stress, social support, and self-esteem), otaku students had a significantly higher happiness score than non-otaku students (b=1.91, p=.043). Conclusion: It was found that otaku college students were happier than non-otaku students, even though the difference was not big. Therefore, this suggests that otaku activities may, to some extent, contribute to subjective mental health such as happines.

병원간호사의 행복지수 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Happiness Index of Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to provide basic data on the nursing Happiness Index and identify factors influencing nurses by describing their perception of lifestyle, health behavior, nursing professionalism, Happiness Index, and turnover intention. Methods: On July 2012, 700 nurses from 10 general hospitals were surveyed, but 23 were omitted due to missing or incomplete data. The focus of this study was the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Happiness Index, consisting of 11 OECD identified topics concerning living conditions and quality of life. Data were analyzed using $x^2$-tests, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression with SPSS/WINdow 14.0. Results: Mean score for nurses' Happiness Index was 3.03 on a scale of 5. There were significant differences on the Happiness Index for the following: age, marriage, children, education, position, work experience, wages, number of beds, medical institution, health behavior, weight, and meal patterns. There was a positive correlation between the happiness index and nursing professionalism but a negative correlation between the happiness index and turnover intention. Conclusion: Results indicate that factors influencing happiness are autonomy, sense of calling and turnover intention suggesting the need to improve nursing professionalism for a life of happiness among hospital nurses.

간호대학생의 주관적 행복감에의 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Subjective Happiness in Korean Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine subjective happiness related factors in Korean nursing students. Methods: A purposive sample of 200 nursing students was recruited for the cross-sectional survey design. The instruments were perceived stress scale, major satisfaction scale, resilience scale, and subjective happiness scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, hierarchical linear regression, and the Sobel test for testing mediating effects. Results: The mean score of stress, major satisfaction, resilience and subjective happiness was 2.21, 3.95, 3.60 and 5.03, respectively. Perceived health status, stress_positive perception, stress_negative perception, resilience_self confidence, resilience_positivity, resilience_social support had significant effects on subjective happiness. Explained variance for the subjective happiness was 53.4%. Resilience had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between stress and subjective happiness (Sobel test: Z=-5.67, p<.001). Also, resilience had a mediating effect in the relationship between major satisfaction and subjective happiness (Sobel test: Z=5.65, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, nursing intervention programs focusing on improving resilience are recommended to improve subjective happiness in nursing students.

Effect of Gratitude Training Program on Dental Hygiene Students' Gratitude Disposition, Self-Esteem, and Happiness

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether a gratitude training program for preservice dental hygienists affects their gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and happiness. Dental hygiene students were recruited from a college in D and administered a pretest. The 76 selected participants were primarily those who had never written a gratitude journal. Participants were then randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. Three participants failed to complete the program, leaving 73 subjects in the final analysis. Data were analyzed using the ${\chi}^2$ test, independent sample t-test, and analysis of covariance. The mean gratitude disposition score improved from $31.11{\pm}5.55$ in the pretest to $34.41{\pm}4.38$ in the posttest in the experimental group and from $31.44{\pm}4.41$ to $32.06{\pm}4.63$ in the control group. The mean self-esteem score improved from $31.22{\pm}4.03$ to $33.16{\pm}3.44$ in the experimental group and from $30.53{\pm}4.42$ to $30.97{\pm}3.80$ in the control group. The mean happiness score improved from $19.54{\pm}2.64$ to $21.78{\pm}2.43$ in the experimental group and from $19.64{\pm}3.32$ to $20.08{\pm}2.91$ in the control group. All of the participants improved their gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and happiness scores while participating in the gratitude training program, and it is expected that if such positive emotions can be sustained, they will naturally acquire the basic requirements of dental hygienists and build a better vocational consciousness and a higher sense of duty, as well as have a further positive effect on the quality of dental medical service. Further studies should be conducted to propose a concrete plan to expand and operate this gratitude training program more effectively.

심리유형별 진료도구를 이용한 한방치료의 만족도 평가 연구 (A Study on Satisfaction Evaluation of Korean Medicine Therapy Using Treatment Tool by Psychological Type)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate patient satisfaction of Korean medicine therapy using treatment tool by psychological type. Methods : 48 subjects were participated in this study. Before a treatment, we analyzed a patient's phychological type first by using a questionnaire. And then we divided 3 groups which were called a rational sympathy module group, emotional sympathy module group, control group. Manner of medical consultation according to patient's phychological type was carried out in all groups. After all treatment, we conducted a survey about medical service perception index, patient happiness index, medical satisfaction index. To evaluate a satisfaction degree, we analyzed results of survey statistically. Results : The results of the analysis, both rational sympathy module group and emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on medical service perception index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. But rational sympathy module group only had a higher tendency than control group on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than rational sympathy module group on medical service perception index, patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Conclusions : Korean medicine therapy using treatment tool by psychological type consisted of patient's phychological type questionnaire and manner of medical consultation could improve a patient's satisfaction. It was more effective in emotional sympathy module group than rational sympathy module group.

1인 가구 남성과 여성의 행복감 관련 요인: 2017년 지역사회건강조사 자료 활용 (Factors related to Happiness of Male and Female Individuals in One-Person Households: Using the 2017 Community Health Survey)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the happiness level of one-person households according to gender in Korea and identify factors influencing householders' happiness. Methods: This was a descriptive correlational study design using the 2017 Community Health Survey data. The participants were 8,724 male and 16,810 female individuals in one-person households. Complex samples descriptive statistics, cross analysis, general linear model, and multi-order regression were conducted to identify the health status, health behavior, and factors influencing happiness. Results: The mean score of happiness was higher in female than male individuals. The main factors of happiness of male householders were suicide thought experience, subjective health level, and experience of having necessary medical services. The main factors of happiness of female householders were suicide thought experience, household income, depression experience. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop and implement nursing interventions and policies according to priorities for the happiness of one-person householders.

중년후기 성인의 건강상태, 노화불안, 사회관계망, 생성감 및 행복 (The health status, aging anxiety, social networking, generativity, and happiness of late middle-aged adults)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the relationship of health status, aging anxiety, social networking, generativity, and happiness and to investigate the main factors influencing happiness of late middle-aged adults. Methods: The study collected data from a total of 153 middle-aged men and women aged 50 to 64 years old from a consumer panel of Macromill-Embrain, the biggest online survey provider in Korea. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and a stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: The subjects' happiness mean score was 16.17±9.29. Statistically significant differences in happiness were found according to education (F=4.38, p=.014), economic status (t=5.13, p<.001), and religion (t=2.18, p=.031). Happiness was correlated significantly with health status (r=.41, p<.001), aging anxiety (r=-.62, p<.001), family support (r=.43, p<.001), friend support (r=.36, p<.001) and generativity (r=.63, p<.001). The factors influencing happiness of late middle-aged adults were generativity (𝛽=.37, p<.001), aging anxiety (𝛽=-.35, p<.001), family support (𝛽=.20, p<.001), and economic status (𝛽=.13, p=.033). The explanatory power of the model was 58.0%. Conclusion: This study will be used as basic data when developing a nursing intervention program for successful aging by identifying factors that affect the happiness of late middle-aged adults.
