Digital Broadcasting serves a variety of broadcasting services for satisfying the requirement of customers. One of main factors for new broadcasting environment is interoperability between providers and consumers. For this interoperability, metadata standards are proposed for the digital broadcasting and TV-Anytime metadata is one of these standards. On the one hand, there are some researches for efficiently managing the broadcasting metadata on Set-Top Box. This paper proposes the metadata management system for efficiently managing the broadcasting metadata based on the STB which is low-cost and low-setting. Our system consists of a storage engine to store the metadata and an XQuery engine to search the stored metadata and uses special index for storing and searching. We expect that our system will keep the interoperability amongst a variety of applications for broadcasting because we adopts the XQuery for searching the metadata and the XQuery is a standard language for searching XML data.

Background : There has been renewed interest in complementary alternative medicine around the world far a decade. On the other hand, the issue of safety of herbal medicine in Korea has been continuously questioned. Issues raised have included not only chemical residue or heavy metals caused by pollution, but also the toxicity of herbal medicine itself. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to review some herbal medicines subject to controversy of toxicity and figure out what kind of problems they evidence. Methods : In this review, PubMed was used to search medical journals. Keywords such as 'herb, or herbal medicine', 'safety, or adverse events, or adverse effect, or toxicity, or liver injury' were applied. Journals were selected by four inclusion criteria, as objectives should be human, researchers should be medical doctors, literature written in the English language, and types of journals should be meta-analysis or practice guideline or reviews. Finally, 9 cases from 60 journals were included in this review. Results : We reviewed 13 herbal medicines for controversy of toxicity such as ephedra(Mahuang), Arisolochia fangchi, Aristolochia manshuriensis, licorice, skullcap , germander, Syo-saiko-to(Xiao-chai-hu-tang), Chelidonium majus, mistletoe, Dictamnus dasycarpus and madder. Conclusions : It suggested that 'who it is prescribed for' is one of the most important factors to identify the causes of toxicity in herbal medicine and dietary supplements, under specific conditions in Korea.

This essay examines the relationship between death and the minor literature and the minor philosophy of education. Deleuze and Guattari conceive death as the source of question and the problem. Death overcomes Freud's death-drive and is conceived as the universal event. Then, death is understood as the essential problem, the condition of thought about life, and the paradox of actuality. On the other hand, their minor literature is able to figure in Kafka's works, Metamorphosis and so on, excellently. Deleuze and Guattari argue that Kafka's works push ahead to the edge of the deterritorization. Their argument on the minor literature has the following three characteristics: first, the territorization of the language; second, the directional connection between the individual and the social; third, the collective arrangement of the statement. Death and the minor literature share the "intensity" as the theoretical tool and thus presuppose each other. From this, we are able to draw the possibility of the minor philosophy of education. It makes a crack on the major philosophy of education, exposing the limitation of the doctrines. In other words, the major philosophy of education enforces the reading of grand philosophers by the defined ways only. Instead, Deleuze and Guattari show the creative way through their research of the history of philosophy and extend the field of thought. In following this way, we can repeat the novel in the philosophy of education also. In this essay, we examine their "affect" for the possibility.

A finger-gesture remote controller using the single camera is implemented in this paper, which is base on the recognition of finger number and finger moving direction. Proposed method uses the transformed YCbCr color-difference information to extract the hand region effectively. The number and position of finger are computer by using a double circle tracing method. Specially, a user continuous-command can be performed repeatedly by recognizing the finger-gesture direction of single shape. The position information of finger enables a user command to amplify a same command in the User eXperience. Also, all processing tasks are implemented by using the Intel OpenCV library and C++ language. In order to evaluate the performance of the our proposed method, after applying to the commercial video player software as a remote controller. As a result, the proposed method showed the average 89% recognition ratio by the user command-mode.

Along with language, socialization is a unique feature of the human being. There is a continuous debate regarding whether the development of socialization is innate, and conducted by the environment in the growing process, or the result of the interaction of both aspects. If socialization is the result of the interaction with the environment or is an acquired developmental process, the following question rises. "Is there a 'critical period' for the development of socialization?" Although there are a huge number of studies seeking for treatment and solutions for developmental delay or deficits of socialization, it is very complicated question to answer. Historical figures such as 'Hugh Blair' of Borgue in England, and 'the wild boy of Aveyron' in France, seem to have innate socialization deficits. Nowadays patients with non-verbal learning disorder, social communication disorder, or autism spectrum disorder seem to have genetic defects. On the other hand, Harry Harlow's monkey experiments, hikikomori of Japan, Romanian orphans and patients with reactive attachment disorder seem to display social deficits due to environmental factors. However, it is not easy to clearly draw a line between innate or acquired factors. Therefore, rather than subdividing the diseases for etiological and pathophysiological approach to heterogenous groups with the common denominator of social deficit, and for the research of pathophysiology and treatment development, the authors suggest a comprehensive concept of "social dysfunction spectrum."

This paper proposes a set of rules to automatically generate OWL ontologies from relational databases. The purpose of the rules is to allow semantic access to existing RDB data without any database schema transformation and data migration process. In other words, the rules help a RDBMS play as a web ontology repository as well. However, the use of the mapping rules between RDB and OWL proposed by other studies for the objective causes troubles as follows. First, databases including the tables with a specific structure can't be translated into OWL. Second, the process for extracting an OWL individual unnecessarily lead to database join operations, or several SQL queries. On the other hand, our rules is designed to prevent these problems, can generate OWL classes and properties from database schemas and can generate OWL individuals from the database instances. In addition, an ontology generated by our rules is an OWL 2 DL ontology.

The Korean movies, and are suitable for "B-movie" for spending low budget and utilizing subculture factors such as kitsch, parody. Using surrealistic space and arbitrary language is the most prior element in constituting 'B-affection'. In that sense, Behind the Dark Night, Super Margin have characteristics overcrossing the media from comics to film. Despite absurd story, Behind the Dark Night has a realistic and concrete sense of what is the making films. The hero in Super Margin was swindled, so he strikes a blow the breeding-place of crime himself. In conclusion, showing comics characteristic aspects has been increasing comedy effects. But, on the other hand, Behind the Dark Night, Super Margin have pointed out that there are many kind of social problems such like career, fraud etc. In addition, they introspect the meaning what is that to making films.

This study examines the effects of pre-employment efforts of the youth on their transition to the labor market. Labor market performance is accessed by the transitory period, the employment at workplace with more than 300 employees, and the wage level. Based on the effects of employment efforts for the first transitory period, job experience during school and preparatory period for employment would raise the likelihood of employment, but the school credit, grade in English, and the frequency of interviews, on the contrary, failed to reduce the transitory period. Employment effect varied according to educational background. In case of college graduates, vocational education and job experience during school were statistically significant variables leading them to decent jobs. On the other hand, in case of university graduates, job experience and language skills were proven to be important factors. Lastly, for the wage effect, in case of college graduates, vocational training, job experience during school, and English ability were proven to increase the wage level. However, vocational training after graduation and job experience during school decreased the wage level, but grade in English and pre-employment efforts during school increased the possibility of getting a decent, highly paid job for university graduates.

The study provided basic data that could be used for future research by identifying trends in the factors that affect the multicultural acceptability of Korean teens from 2008 to 2017. Research methods have searched for papers using keywords from 'Multicultural', 'Youth', 'Middle School Student', 'High School Student' and 'Acceptance' in academic data base. As a result of analysis, journal articles and dissertations soared as of 2012, and the academic field identified the largest number of studies being carried out in the field of social science and pedagogy. Quantitative research and cross-sectional study were the most important methods of previous research. On the other hand, few studies have concurrently analyzed new factors related to multicultural acceptability. The results of this study indicate the need for a combined analysis of the new factors that may affect the multicultural acceptability of adolescents.

In most mail automatic processing centers, after facing and canceling, letter mails are passed through an Optical Character Recognition/Barcode Sorter(OCR/BS) to read the postal code and 3 of 5 fluorescent (luminescent) barcode is applied. Normally, 31%∼35% of this mails are rejected. The main reasons for reading failures are poor printing quality of addresses and barcodes, script printing, writing in a cursive hand, variety fonts, and failure to locate the address. Our goal is to provide mailer with top quality service and customer barcode service as we move toward 100% barcoding automation of letter mail. In this paper, we propose a method of printing 3 of 5 customer barcode, postal code management, and detection of postal code based on postal address for increase the performance of automatic processing system in mail items. Using postal code generating rules, which are automatically extracted from postal addresses and address numbers, creates postal codes. The customer barcode support system is implemented by C++ language and runs on IBM PC under Windows 95.
