This paper proposes the operation scheme and control method for a four-level hybrid half-bridge flying-capacitor inverter (4L-HHBFCI). With in-phase disposition level-shifted modulation (IPD), the flying capacitor voltage ripple is less than 1% of the reference value, while the line-to-line voltage total harmonic distortion is 23.27% at unity modulation index. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed inverter operation have been verified by simulation results.

가시광 통신(Visible Light Communication)시스템에서 고속 데이터 통신을 위한 최적의 line coding 기법을 제안한다. 새롭게 제안한 B4-HBT line coding은 1은 +Voltage와 -Voltage를 서로 교번하여 부호화하는데 1은 처음에는 +V, 그다음에는 -V로 서로 상반되게 극성을 대응하는 형태를 취한다. 여기에 연속적인 0비트가 4개가 존재하면 그전에 존재한 1비트에 상반되는 V를 같고 5개의 연속적인 마지막 0비트에서 반대부호 V를 갖고 1비트마다 반 비트 변이를 주어 오류를 줄이고 잡음의 영향을 적게 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서 존재하고 있는 line coding과 비교하여 2${\sim}$3dB 이득을 보인다.

본 논문에서는 이동통신 단말기에 적합한 변형된 반 파장 로디드 라인 안테나를 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안된 안테나는 실험적인 PCB 위에 하나의 반 파장 로디드 라인 구조를 갖는 방사체, 유전체 기판, 급전봉과 두 개의 단락봉으로 구성되어져 있다. 두 개의 단락봉은 방사체의 양쪽 끝에 각각 배치되어 있으며, 집중형 인덕턴스 소자는 각각의 단락봉과 PCB 그라운드 사이에 놓여져 있다. 인덕터 값의 조절을 통하여 안테나의 공진 주파수와 입력 임피던스가 각각 조정되어질 수 있다. 제안된 안테나는 최대 12 nH의 인덕터 값의 범위 내에서 $1,470\~2,660\;MHz$의 넓은 동작 영역과 좋은 임피던스 정합 특성을 가지고 있다. 안테나의 최대 이득은 동작 영역내에서 $-0.45\~2.03\;dBi$로 측정되었다.

This study aimes to investigate the garment ease of pe-school children's clothing in accordance with arm movement. The experiment was done with 4 per-school children fro mage 3 to age 5, and 3 types of experimental clothes were made ; sleeveless, half sleeve, and long sleeve. The waist pattern and the sleeve pattern of each experimental clothes has no garment ease. And experimental clothes were examined to obtain the necessary ease of armcye line and waist lien by cross-cut method. The results of investigation can be summarized as follows ; 1. The resulting movement ranges of experimental clothes with no garment ease were 131.5°(sleeveless), 71.75°(half sleeve), and 62.25°(long sleeve). 2. The size order of cross-cut opening of waist lien movement were (side>front>back), and (half sleeve>long sleeve>sleeveless). 3. When the base point of measurement was set to armpit point by arm the latitudinal length of cross-cut opening of armcye line by arm movement was (anterior armpit part > posterior armpit part), and longitudinal length of cross-cut opening was (upper part>lower part).

In this paper, we newly developed a byte-inverted transmission method for flicker-free visible light communication (VLC). The VLC transmitter sends original data in the former half period of the clock, and inverted data and in the latter half period of the clock. The VLC receiver receives the original data in the in the former half period of the clock. In this system, we used 480Hz clock that was generated from the 60Hz power line. The average optical power of the LED array in the transmitter is constant, thus flicker-free, in the observation time longer than the period of the clock that is about 2ms. This period is shorter than the maximum flickering time period (MFTP) of 5ms that is generally considered to be safe. This configuration is very useful in constructing indoor wireless sensor networks using LED light because it is flicker-free and does not require additional transmission channel for clock transmission.

This paper proposes an SSSC based on 3-level half-bridge inverters. The dynamic characteristic of the proposed SSSC was analyzed by EMTP simulation, assuming that the SSSC is inserted in the transmission line of the one-machine-infinite-bus power system. The proposed SSSC has six 3-level half-bridge inverters per phase, which operates in PWM mode. The proposed SSSC generates a quasi-sinusoidal output voltage by 90 degree phase shift to the line current. The proposed SSSC does not require the coupling transformer for voltage injection, and has a flexibility in operation voltage by increasing the number of series connection.

This paper proposes a novel UPFC based on 3-level Half-bridge modules, isolated through single-phase multi-winding transformers. The dynamic performance of proposed system was analyzed by simulation with EMTDC, assuming that the UPFC is connected with the 138-kV transmission line of one-machine-infinite-bus power system. The proposed system can be directly connected to the transmission line without series injection transformers. It has flexibility in expanding the operation voltage by increasing the number of 3-level Half-bridge modules.

본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 선로로 급전되는 소형 광대역 평면 다이폴 안테나의 설계방법에 대해 연구하였다. 제안된 구조의 광대역 다이폴을 지상파 디지털방송 수신용으로 최적화 설계하였다. 광대역 모노폴은 특성 임피던스 75옴의 마이크로스트립 선로로 급전되고 $90mm{\times}180mm$ 크기의 FR4 기판에 설계하였다. 다이폴을 소형화하기 위해 반 보우-타이형으로 변형하였다. 마이크로스트립 선로와 다이폴을 급전하는 코프래너 스트립 간의 광대역 임피던스 정합을 위해 단순한 형태의 밸런을 이용하였다. 디지털 방송 주파수 대역인 470-806 MHz 대역에서 동작하도록 설계된 안테나를 FR4 기판 상에 제작 후 실험을 통하여 연구결과의 타당성을 검증하였다.
