This study analyzes modes related to use of graph representation that appears to solve high school students quadratic function problem based on the graph using modes of Chauvat. It was examined the extent of understanding of the quadratic function of students through the flexibility of the representation of the Bannister (2014) from the analysis. As a result, the graph representation mode in which a high school students are mainly used is a nomographic specific mode, when using operational mode, it was found to be an error. The flexibility of Bannister(2014) that were classified to the use of representation from the point of view of the object and the process in the understanding of the function was constrained operation does not occur between the two representations in understanding the function in the process of perspective. Based on these results, the teaching on use graph representation for the students in classroom is required and the study of teaching and learning methods can understand the function from various perspectives is needed.
This research was designed to investigate the possibility to teach function concept and graph representation of functions in explicit manner toward at elementary level. Eight class-hours instruction was given to four Grade 5(age 11) students, and dynamic geometry software GSP was partially used in the class. Results indicate that the students could conceptualize the function relation, interpret linear function graphs, recognize the meaning of their slopes, and discuss the relationships among linear graphs and real life situation. Results also indicate that GSP helped students to recognize the relation between dots and the linear graph clearly and that GSP-line graph did decisive role for children to understand the meaning of graph representation of function.
We consider 'ordinary' graphs: that is, finite undirected graphs with no loops or multiple edges. An intersection representation of a graph G is a function r from V(G), the set of vertices of G, into a family of sets S such that distinct points $\chi$$_{\alpha}$ and $\chi$$_{\beta}$/ of V(G) are. neighbors in G precisely when ${\gamma}$($\chi$$_{\alpha}$)∩${\gamma}$($\chi$$_{\beta}$/)$\neq$ø, A graph G is a rigid circuit grouph if every cycle in G has at least one triangular chord in G. In this paper we consider the main theorem; A graph G has an intersection representation by arcs on an acyclic graph if and only if is a normal rigid circuit graph.uit graph.d circuit graph.uit graph.
As the informal graph was introduced newly in the area of function in middle school mathematics curriculum revised in 2015, ten publishing company became to have a concern on how to represent the graph content uniquely and newly. At this time, it may be meaningful and useful to compare and analyze the content of the graph unit shown on each textbook published by publishing companies. To accomplish this, on fundamentally the basis of diverse prior researches this study tried to select the elements of expression and interpretation of the graph and establish an analytic frameworks of expression and interpretation of the graph respectively. This study executed the frequency analysis and cross analysis by textbook system, textbook, and the number of the graph drawn on a coordinate plane on the representation and interpretation of the graph. As a result, the textbook contains more items on interpretation than the representation of the graph, and students showed a learning effect on the graph unit but showed a neutral response to the impact of learning. This basic and essential paper shed light on developing the practical and more creative textbook which has diversity and characteristic respectively, while adjusting the scope of the elements of the graph's representations and interpretations and providing proper level and quality content.

This paper proposes an implicit method for computing the minimum cost feedback vertex set for a graph. For an arbitrary graph, a Boolean function is derived, whose satisfying assignments directly correspond to feedback vertex sets of the graph. Importantly, cycles in the graph are never explicitly enumerated, but rather, are captured implicitly in this Boolean function. This function is then used to determine the minimum cost feedback vertex set. Even though computing the minimum cost satisfying assignment for a Boolean function remains an NP-hard problem, it is possible to exploit the advances made in the area of Boolean function representation in logic synthesis to tackle this problem efficiently in practice for even reasonably large sized graphs. The algorithm has obvious application in flip-flop selection for partial scan. The algorithm proposed in this paper is the first to obtain the MFVS solutions for many benchmark circuits.

Recent studies have shown that the neural network-based binary code similarity detection technology performs well in vulnerability mining, plagiarism detection, and malicious code analysis. However, existing cross-architecture methods still suffer from insufficient feature characterization and low discrimination accuracy. To address these issues, this paper proposes a cross-architecture binary function similarity detection method based on composite feature model (SDCFM). Firstly, the binary function is converted into vector representation according to the proposed composite feature model, which is composed of instruction statistical features, control flow graph structural features, and application program interface calling behavioral features. Then, the composite features are embedded by the proposed hierarchical embedding network based on a graph neural network. In which, the block-level features and the function-level features are processed separately and finally fused into the embedding. In addition, to make the trained model more accurate and stable, our method utilizes the embeddings of predecessor nodes to modify the node embedding in the iterative updating process of the graph neural network. To assess the effectiveness of composite feature model, we contrast SDCFM with the state of art method on benchmark datasets. The experimental results show that SDCFM has good performance both on the area under the curve in the binary function similarity detection task and the vulnerable candidate function ranking in vulnerability search task.

The performance of existing recognition algorithms for binary phase shift keying (BPSK) and quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) signals degrade under conditions of low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR). Hence, a novel recognition algorithm based on features in the graph domain is proposed in this study. First, the power spectrum of the squared candidate signal is truncated by a rectangular window. Thereafter, the graph representation of the truncated spectrum is obtained via normalization, quantization, and edge construction. Based on the analysis of the connectivity difference of the graphs under different hypotheses, the sum of degree (SD) of the graphs is utilized as a discriminate feature to classify BPSK and QPSK signals. Moreover, we prove that the SD is a Schur-concave function with respect to the probability vector of the vertices (PVV). Extensive simulations confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, and its superiority to the listed model-driven-based (MDB) algorithms in terms of recognition performance under low SNRs and computational complexity. As it is confirmed that the proposed method reduces the computational complexity of existing graph-based algorithms, it can be applied in modulation recognition of radar or communication signals in real-time processing, and does not require any prior knowledge about the training sets, channel coefficients, or noise power.
This paper was aimed to, using a new data structure, develop a set of algorithms to execute the output function of Digital System. These functions were represented as directed, acyclic graphs. by applying many restrictions on vertices on graph, the efficient manipulation of boolean function was accomplished. The results were as follows; 1. A canonical representation of a boolean function was created by the reduction algorithm. 2. The operation of two functions was accomplished using t he apply algorithm, according to the binary operator. 3. The arguments having 1 as the value nf function were enumerated using the satisfy algorithm. 4. Composing TTL 74181 4-bit ALU and 74182 look-ahead carry generator, the ALU having 4-bit and 16-bit as word size was implemented.
It is said that the university mathematics education in Korea faces critical situations due to the decreases of both qualities and quantities of students. In this paper we examine college students in order to know their basic ability for understanding about fundamental functions, such as polynomial, trigonometric, logarithm and exponential functions which have learned from highschool mathematics courses. The subject are 354 freshmen of 4 universities located in Daejeon and Chongchung area. The result of this study shows as follows. i ) More than half students are not able to draw graphs of given functions, except polynomial. ii ) More students do not fully understand about function properties such as domain, codomain, range, max and min value, cycle and parallel translation.
The six core competencies have been emphasized in the mathematics curriculum revised in 2015. In particular, the communication is very important for students' representing their own thinking and enhancing much higher mathematical thinking. Based on this competency, this study selected the four elements of the communication such as the understanding of mathematical representation, development and transition of mathematical representation, the representation of his own thinking, the understanding of the others' thinking. And also this study selected the domain of function which is comprised of the content of the coordinate plane, the graph, proportionality in the seventh grade mathematics textbook. By the subject of the ten kinds of textbook, this study examined how the four elements of the communication competency were shown in each textbook.
