저온하에서 질소시비량이 수도품종의 생육형질, 질소함량 및 ethylene 생성량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nitrogen level under low Temperature Condition on Growth Characters, Nitrogen Concentration and Ethylene Evolution of Rice Varieties)

  • 본 연구는 벼의 주요생육단별로 저온하에서 질소시비량과 시비시기를 달리해서 수도품종의 내냉성과 도체내 질소함량 및 ethylene 생성량과의 관계를 명백히 함으로서, 내냉성 품종육성과 냉해경감을 위한 재배기술확립의 기초자료를 얻고자 실시한바, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 분얼기의 저온처리는 초장과 분얼을 크게 억제시켰으며, 질소시비량의 증가는 저온하에서도 초장, 분얼수는 다소 증가되나, 저온에 약한 태백벼가 현저히 적었다. 그러나 저온처리 종료후 회복력은 내냉성이 약한 태백 벼가 현저했다. 2. 분얼기, 감수분열기, 등숙기 저온처리는 엽신의 질소함양은 증가시키나 탄수화물함양은 감소하는 영향이었다. 3. 감수분열기는 질소시비량의 증가에 따라 저온에 의한 임실비율이 감소하며, 그 경향은 내냉성이 약한 품종에서 현저했으며, 엽신의 질소함양과 임실비율간에는 부의 유의 상관관계가 인정되었다. 4. 출수기의 실비의 증비는 저온하에서 등숙률을 저하시켰으며, 그 경향 내냉성이 약한 품종에서 뚜렷했다. 5. 엽신의 ethylene 생성량은 품종간 큰 차이를 나타냈고, 질소시비량 증가에 따라 ethylene 생성량이 감소하는데. 이 같은 결과는 품종의 내비성 또는 내냉성과 관계가 있는 것으로 사료된다. 6. 엽신의 ethylene 생성량의 저온처리기간 또는 처리후의 추이를 보면, 저온처리와 함께 급격히 감소하고, 저온처리 종료후는 다시 증가하나, 그 경향은 시비하에서는 현저한 증가를 보이나 질소증비에 따라 생성량은 현저히 감소하였다. 또한 품종간 차이가 큼을 인정할 수 있었다.

Investigation of harvest time of paddy rice for green whole rice grains considering transplanting time and nitrogen fertilization

  • This study was conducted to investigate the growth characteristics and yield of whole green rice grains during the ripening period. These were investigated using Hopumbyeo and Unkwangbyeo at two transplanting times and with two kinds of nitrogen fertilization. The transplanting times were May 30 and June 20, respectively, using 30-day seedling culture and transplanting conducted with 3 - 4 plants per hill in planting space of $15cm{\times}30cm$. During nitrogen fertilization, 9 kg and 18 kg was used, respectively. The harvest of the green whole rice grains was carried out on the 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, and 40th day after the heading date. The clum length was greater with later planting and with application of more nitrogen. The rice yield was higher with nitrogen fertilization of 18 kg/10 a when transplanted on May 30 for Hupumbyeo, and for Unkwangbyeo, was higher at 9 kg/10 a nitrogen fertilization when transplanted on May 30. The protein content of Hopumbyeo was higher when the nitrogen fertilizer was 18 kg/10 a, and that of Unkwangbyeo was lower than that when transplanting on June 20. The greenness was not related to the nitrogen fertilization level when transplanted on May 20 but for later transplanting, the greenness was higher when the nitrogen application was increased, and the greenness was the greatest about 30 days after the heading date.

곡식 혼식이 흰쥐의 성장에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Three Different Grain Diets on the Growth of Albino Rats)

  • 곡식의 혼합비율은 백미에 보리쌀과 밀쌀을 각각 15%, 30%, 45%의 비례로 혼합하였고 비교군으로써 순백미군과 20% sugar casein diet를 두어서 총 8 group 으로 나누었다. 흰쥐 생후 $45{\pm}5$ 일(日) 된 albino rat로써 initial body weight 가 male이 $58{\pm}2\;g$, female이 $62{\pm}2\;g$ 이 되는 80 마리의 쥐를 8 군으로 하여서 한 군에(female 5, male 5)씩 나누어서 총 14주일 사육하였다. 성장율, 식이섭취량, F.E.R. P.E.R. 를 비교하여 보면 순백미 또는 백미에 보리를 혼합한 군보다 백미에 밀쌀을 섞은 군이 더 좋은 성장율과 F.E.R. 및 P.E.R. 을 나타내 주었다. 이와 같은 경향은 male군인 경우 female군보다 더 현저하나 nitrogen retention 에 역시 밀쌀 혼합군이 백미군이나 백미에 보리쌀을 혼합한 군보다 현저히 우수함을 볼 수 있으며 몸무게 증가와 밀접한 관계를 지니고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 곡류 diet 에서 배설된 nitrogen 중 $10{\sim}20%$가 변으로 배설되는 반면 표준군인 경우 nitrogen 이 거의 urine 으로 배설됨을 볼 수 있다. 이와 같은 결과는 곡류식인 경우는 함유된 단백질이 동물성 단백질식이에 비해 소화흡수되는 율이 저조하다. 혈청내 glucose 는 몸무게 증가와 밀접한 관계가 있었다. cholesterol 은 표준군이 곡류 diet 보다 total cholesterol 함량이 감소했으나 esterified cholesterol 과 free cholesterol 의 비에서 보면 곡류식이군이 표준군보다 높았다. 본 연구에서는 nitrogen 의 배설 상태 및 몸무게증가현상으로 미루어 밀쌀 혼합군이 보리쌀 혼합군보다는 우수하다는 결론을 지을 수 있다.

Effect of Variety and Stage of Maturity on Nutritive Value of Whole Crop Rice, Yield, Botanical Fractions, Silage Fermentability and Chemical Composition

  • The effect of eight varieties of grain and forage type whole crop rice (Oryza sativa L Japonica) each harvested at four stages of maturity were investigated for morphology and yield, proportion of botanical fractions, fermentatability and chemical composition in an $8{\times}4$ factorial experiment. All crops were sown in 1997 at Saitama Prefecture, Japan under identical condition and harvested on 10, 22, 34 and 45 days after flowering in 1998. Total DM yield of forage type varieties was similar to that of the highest yield of grain type varieties. However, while yield of forage type varieties was attributed to higher proportion of straw than head, the reverse was in the case of grain type varieties. Yield in line with the proportion of head increased (p<0.001), but in contrast proportion of straw decreased (p<0.001) with the increase in maturity. Silage fermentability of grain type varieties was better than forage type varieties. Fermentability improved with the increase (p<0.001) in maturity suggesting that the moisture content should be reduced to improve fermentation quality. Forage type varieties contained higher (p<0.001) ash, crude fat (EE), organic cell wall (OCW) and acid detergent fiber (ADF), but contained lower crude protein (CP), organic cell content (OCC), CP in OCC and nitrogen-free cell wall extract (NCWFE) than the grain type varieties. The ash, CP, EE, Oa (60% digestible OCW), Ob (40% digestible OCW), OCW, ADF and acid detergent lignin (ADL) decreased (p<0.001), but OCC and NCWFE increased (p<0.001) with the increase in maturity. It is concluded that stage of maturity not only increases yield and proportion of head, but also improved the fermentation quality and increases quality chemical composition (except CP) of whole crop rice. Forage type varieties may be as good as grain type varieties in terms of yield, but fermentation quality and chemical composition may not be as good as that of grain type varieties.

질화규소 세라믹스의 미세조직 형성에 미치는 Seed 첨가의 영향 (Effect of Seeding on Microstructural Development of Silicon Nitride Ceramics)

  • The effect of $\beta$-$Si_3N_4$ seeding on microstructural development of silicon nitride based materials has been investigated. In particular, to observe more distinctly the abnormal grain growth in pressureless sintering, fine $\alpha$-$Si_3N_4$(mean particle size: 0.26 ${\mu}m$) powder classified by sedimentation method was used. It was possible to prepare silicon nitride with abnormally grown grains under low nitrogen pressure of 1 atm thanks to the heterogeneous nucleation on $Si_3N_4$ seed particles. The size and morphology of silicon nitride grains were strongly influenced by the presence of $\beta$-$Si_3N_4$ seed and overall chemical composition. For specimens with initially low $\beta$-content, the large grains grew without a significant impingement by other large grains. On the contrary, for specimens with initially high $\beta$-content, steric hindrance was effective. The resulting microstructure was less inhomogeneous and characterized by unimodal grain size distribution.

들깨 개화후기 질소추비가 수량 및 성분에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nitrogen Top Dressing at Late Flowering Stage on Yield and Chemical Components in Perilla)

  • 유진들깨의 개화기 후 5일에 시용한 질소 추비(4 kg/10a)를 통해 생육특성과 단백질 함량, 지방 함량과 지방산 조성 등을 조사하여 들깨의 수량성과 품질 향상의 가능성을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 등숙기의 추비는 대조구에 비해 경장과 주경 마디수, 가지수, 경직경 등에서는 차이가 거의 없었으나 성숙기가 1일 늦었고, SPAD 값은 48.6으로 대조구보다 85% 더 높고 농녹색을 성숙후기까지 유지하였다. 2. 추비구의 수량구성요소 및 수량에서 화방군길이, 화방 군수, 군당삭수는 근소하게 더 많았으나 1000립중이 3.4 g으로 대조구 보다 0.8 g 더 무거워 종실수량은 123 kg/10a로 60% 더 많았다. 3. 추비구의 단백질함량은 33.3%로서 대조구 보다 11.5%나 많았으며 국내 유전자원 17.9~28.5%(Park, 1996) 범위를 능가하였으며 기름함량은 48.4%로서 6.2%나 더 높아 추비효과가 있었다. 4. 추비에 따른 지방산 조성은 대조구에 비해 포화지방산인 palmitic acid와 stearic acid이 감소하였고, 불포화지방산에서 linolenic acid와 oleic acids는 감소하였으나 linoleic acid는 증가한 경향을 보였다. 5. 이상의 결과로 미루어 보아 들깨의 등숙기는 최적생육량과 연계한 적정질소추비는 수량성과 품질 향상을 위해 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

엽노화 정도가 다른 벼 품종의 등숙기 광합성 특성 (Photosynthetic Characteristics of Rice Cultivars with Depending on Leaf Senescence during Grain Filling)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the varietal differences in leaf senescence and the relationship between leaf senescence and photosynthesis during ripening stage of rice. During grain filling period, leaf senescence was evaluated by SPAD readings (an indirect indicator of chlorophyll content) for 3 rice varieties (SNU-SG1, Hwaseongbyeo, Nampungbyeo). SPAD value of flag leaf and 2nd leaf of SNU-SG1 were much higher than the other varieties and the leaves of SNU-SG1 also showed a tendency of delayed senescence as compared to the other varieties. Photosynthesis at light saturation (Pmax) of flag, 2nd and 3rd leaf in SNU-SG1 during grain filling period were much higher than Hwaseongbyeo and Nampungbyeo. The Pmax of the flag leaf in SNU-SG1 was especially higher over 20% than the other varieties. It was due to its higher mesophyll conductance and stomatal conductance as compared to the other varieties. Pmax, stomatal conductance and mesophyll conductance had positive correlation with SPAD value and nitrogen concentration of leaves. In conclusion, the stay green characteristics of SNU-SG1 would contribute to increasing the grain yield through the improved photosynthesis during grain filling.

하이브리드 공정으로 제조한 TiAlSiN 박막의 특성 (Mechanical Properties of TiAlSiN films Coated by Hybrid Process)

  • In this study, TiAlSiN coatings have been successfully synthesized on stainless steel and tungsten carbide substrate by a hybrid coating method employing a cathodic arc and a magnetron sputtering source. TiAl and Si target were vaporized with the cathodic arc source and the magnetron sputtering source, respectively. Process gas was the mixture of nitrogen and argon gas. With the increase of Si content, the crystallinity and the grain size of TiAlSiN film was decreased. At the Si content of more than 8 at.%, grain size of TiAlSiN was saturated at around 2 nm. The hardness value of the TiAlSiN film increased with incorporation of Si, and had the maximum value of ~ 3,233 Hv at the Si content of 9.2 at.%. The oxidation resistance of TiAlSiN film was enhanced with the increase of Si content.

Production and Quality Parameters of Oat Grown in Conventional/Organic Farming

  • Hulled and naked oat is a perspective crop for the low input production systems due to its low requirements for soil quality and nutrition. Oats have good competitive ability against weeds and can provide appropriate yield in organic farming in comparison with other cereal species such as wheat or barley. It is a perspective crop from the point of view of use in the food industry too. The aim of our study was to compare the production and quality parameters of naked and hulled oat grown in both organic (OF) and conventional fields (CF). Small plot trials were conducted in two locations in the Czech Republic (České Budějovice, Prague) for four years (2018-2021) in two production systems (OF, and CF). We used four varieties of hulled oat (Korok, Kertag, Raven, Seldon) and one variety of naked oat (Patrik). During the vegetation, agronomically important data were recorded. After harvest samples were processed in the laboratory and analyzed selected quality parameters of grain dry matter (the protein content was determined by the Kjeldahl method, starch content in grain according to Ewers, fat content in grain dry matter by the modified method according to Soxhlet, and ash content in grain dry matter). The data were evaluated using the program STATISTICA version 13.2, StatSoft, Inc., California, USA. It is clear from the results that the number of panicles before the harvest was influenced by the location, cultivation system, year, and, to a lesser extent, the influence of the variety. The number of panicles in OF averaged 340 per square meter, which was 90% of the value of CF. For thousand grain weight (TGW), a significantly predominant effect of year was found. The independent effect of location on TGW was statistically not significant. Grain yield was predominantly influenced by cultivation system and location. In OF, it reached an average of 3.97 t.ha-1, which was 75% of the yield of CF. As part of the evaluation of the basic grain quality indicators, the content of protein, starch, fat, and ash in the dry matter of the grain was evaluated. The content of protein in the dry matter of the grain was predominantly influenced by year, followed by the influence of the variety and a fairly comparable influence of the cultivation system and locality. On average, it achieved 16.05% in OF and 17.01% in CF. The starch content was then related to the protein content, where as a result of the lower protein content in the grain of OF oats, the content of starch and fat was on the contrary increased. The year turned out to be the most significant factor, affecting both the starch content in the dry matter of the grain and the fat content. This was followed again by a fairly comparable influence on the cultivation system and locality. The influence of the cultivation system and location was not statistically significantly applied in the case of ash content in dry matter. Based on our results we can propose both types of oat (hulled and naked) as perspective crops for OF. An organic farmer can expect to achieve stable yields which, in less favorable conditions for the production of cereals in the OF, may be close to the level of conventional yields. In the future, it will be important to change agrotechnology in OF and increase oat yield because this crop has a good potential to grow in areas with low nitrogen input or less fertile soil.

벼 유수분화기 생육 및 질소영양 상태에 따른 쌀 단백질함량의 수비 질소 반응 (Response of Grain Protein Content to Nitrogen Topdress Rate at Panicle Initiation Stage under Different Growth and Plant Nitrogen Status of Rice)

  • 백미의 단백질 함량은 쌀의 품질과 식미을 결정하는 중요한 요인이며, 질소시비에 의해서 크게 좌우된다. 따라서 본 실험에서는 기비 및 분얼비 시용량을 달리하여 수비 시기인 유수분화기에 벼의 생육 및 질소영양 상태를 다양하게 조성한 상태에서 수비 시용량을 달리하였을 때의 백미 단백질함량의 변화를 검토함으로써 고품질 쌀 생산에 맞는 질소 시비체계 설정을 위한 기초 자료를 얻고자 하였다. 1. 백미의 단백질함량은 $6{\sim}9%$로서 기비+분얼비 및 수비 시용량비 증가할수록 높아지는 경향이었는데, 기비+분얼비 시용량이 20 kgN/10a까지 증가하더라도 수비 1.8 kgN/10a 이하일 경우 백미의 단백질함량은 7% 이하였으며. 기비+분얼비 보다는 수비에 의한 단백질 함량 증가폭이 더 컸다. 2. 수확기 지상부 질소함량과 백미의 질소함량간에는 고도로 유의한 직선회귀 관계를 보였는데, 수확기 총 질소흡수량 중에서 58.3%와 46.5%가 각각 이삭과 백미로 전이되었고, 연차간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 3. 백미의 단백질 함량은 유수형성기 지상부 질소 집적량 증가에 따라서는 직선적으로 증가하였고, 유수분화기 이후 수확기까지의 질소 집적량 증가에 따라서는 2차곡선적으로 증가하였으며, 후자의 영향이 컸다. 유수분화기 지상부 질소 집적량이 8 kgN/10a까지 증가하더라도 수비 이후의 질소집적량이 3 kgN/10a미만일 경우에는 백미의 단백질함량이 7% 미만이었다. 4. 수확기까지 총 질소 집적량이 같더라도 단위면적 당 영화수에 영향이 큰 유수분화기까지의 질소 집적량이 차지하는 비중이 클수록 그리고 등숙기 기상환경이 좋아 sink의 충진에 유리한 해에 백미의 단백질함량이 낮아지는 경향이었다.
