Tension spline 방법을 이용한 제화용 라스팅기의 제어데이터 추출 및 기하할출제도의 검증 (Extraction of the control data for the shoe laster by using tension spline method and verification of the geometric grading system)

  • Lasting machines for shoe manufacturing are continuously developed with the aid of automation and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). Adaptive lasting machine and CAD data of a shoe last are inevitably introduced for the labor-free manufacturing process. Recently, method for the CAD datarization of a shoe last is suggested using finite element mesh system. Initial set up data and control data of machine parts are required for the adaptive lasting machine. For the efficient process, grading of those data is essential to minimize data storage and production costs. In this paper, bonding lines are extracted from the CAD data of a shoe last and graded by the geometric grading system. Tension spline method is adopted for the interpolation of last CAD data. The results are compared with the results from the arithmetic grading system that is widely adopted in the shoemaking companies.

  • Generally, the conventional fish size grading methods just adopt the mechanical technique. So the grading methods have a problem such that the graded fish is easy to hurt on the skin and in the internal organs. In this paper, a fish size grading machine is developed using an image processing method. The grading method is based on the principal axis theorem. The length and projected area of a fish are obtained by getting the principal axis and the product of inertia moment on the captured image of a target fish. The developed machine uses an uncontact technique that the target fishes go through the front side of the CCD camera. So the above stated problem can be improved. The performance of this method is discussed with the experimental results.

노년여성의 의복제작을 위한 체형별 치수 및 그레이딩 체계에 관한 연구 (Development of Standard Sizing System and Grading Rule according to Body Types for Manufacturing Clothing of Elderly Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the standard sizing system and grading rules according to body types of elderly women. The data were the anthropometric measurements of 329 women aged 60 and older measured in 2001. To determine the effective and useful clothing sizing system, the distribution of hip girth and bust girth of 3 body types which were suggested in KS K 0055 was analyzed, and the significant difference among adjoining hip girth ranges was analyzed, too. And the sizes of major body parts that were used for manufacturing clothing were made to have regular interval between each clothing sizes. From this study, we certified that each different sizing system for 3 body types to manufacture more suitable clothing for elderly women was necessary and suggested the standard size for each body type. And we also suggested the patternmaking sizes that were needed to manufacture ready-made clothing. On the basis of standard size, we suggested the grading rules for 3 body types. And we verified the propriety of the grading rules for 3 body types through the fitting test, and we knew that the grading rules for 3 body types of this study was very useful to manufacture clothing for elderly women.

남자 고등학생의 하의류 그레이딩에 룰 개발에 대한 연구 (A Development of the Lower Clothes Grading Rule for High School Boys)

  • Nowadays, the use of apparel CAD system is important to the mass production of ready to wear. Especially, computer-based grading is the most important process to improve the fitness of clothes and to reduce the time needed to make various size pattern. The purpose of this study was to suggest a standard sizing system for high school boys' pants and to suggest a grading method according to the sizing systems. The subjects were 217 high school boys of 16 to 18 year-old. The size intervals of waist girth and hip girth were 3 cm and 4 cm respectively. The sizing system, which had frequencies more than 4%, was classified 8 cases. Among them, 71-92 and 71-88 size were the most frequent size and were adopted the basic size for the two types of grading. According to the sizing system, hand-made patterns were manufactured. By measure of the each part of the slacks, 4 size's new grading-rule patterns were developed by each size. This result will contribute to clothing fitness of consumer and the amount of production.

Intelligent Automatic Sorting System For Dried Oak Mushrooms

  • A computer vision based automatic intelligent sorting system for dried oak mushrooms has been developed. The developed system was composed of automatic devices for mushroom feeding and handling, two sets of computer vision system for grading , and computer with digital I/O board for PLC interface, and pneumatic actuators for the system control. Considering the efficiency of grading process and the real time on-line system implementation, grading was done sequentially at two consecutive independent stages using the captured image of either side. At the first stage, four grades of high quality categories were determined from the cap surface images and at the second stage 8 grades of medium and low quality categories were determined from the gill side images. The previously developed neuro-net based mushroom grading algorithm which allowed real time on-line processing was implemented and tested. Developed system revealed successful performance of sorting capability of approximate y 5, 000 mushrooms/hr per each line i.e. average 0.75 sec/mushroom with the grading accuracy of more than 88%.

말초성안면신경마비(末梢性顔面神經痲痺)의 전침(電鍼) 치료(治療) 효과(效果) (Effect of Electroacupuncture on Patients with Peripheral Facial Paralysis)

  • Objectives : This study was to evaluate the effect of electroacupuncture on symptoms of peripheral facial paralysis. Methods : We investigated 34 cases of patients with Peripheral Facial Paralysis. We flip a coin and divide into two groups. Electroacupuncture was performed at one group, and the other group didn't do it. we evaluated the treatment effect of each group by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System. Results : 1. In Pain back of the ear, we found that two groups have no significant differences. 2. As a result of evaluation by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System, treatment score after 2weeks was marked higher than that before treatment and treatment score after 4weeks treatment was higher than treatment score after 2weeks within each group. 3. After 4weeks treatment, electroacupuncture group showed significant difference on Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System compared with acupuncture group. Conclusion : These results suggested that electroacupuncture treatment should be more effective in the patient with peripheral facial paralysis.

파형에 따른 말초성 안면신경마비의 전침 복합 치료 효과 (Effect of Electroacupuncture Complex Therapy on Peripheral Facial Paralysis According to the Wave Forms)

  • Objectives : This study was to compare the effect of electroacupuncture therapy on peripheral facial paralysis according to the wave forms. Methods : We investigated 56 cases of inpatients with Peripheral Facial Paralysis, and divided them into two groups, One group was treated by electroacupuncture on interrupted wave, and the other was treated by electroacupuncture on dense-dispersed wave. We evaluated the effect of electroacupuncture in each group by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann and Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System. Results : 1. In the interrupted wave and the dense-dispersed wave, compared with baseline, at final, Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann was significantly decreased and Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System was significantly increased. 2. At final, Interrupted wave showed significant decrease on the Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann and significant increase on Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System compared with dense-dispersed wave. Conclusions : These results suggested that interrupted wave should be more useful for improving symptoms related with peripheral facial paralysis than dense-dispersed wave.

Evaluation of Volumetric Texture Features for Computerized Cell Nuclei Grading

  • The extraction of important features in cancer cell image analysis is a key process in grading renal cell carcinoma. In this study, we applied three-dimensional (3D) texture feature extraction methods to cell nuclei images and evaluated the validity of them for computerized cell nuclei grading. Individual images of 2,423 cell nuclei were extracted from 80 renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). First, we applied the 3D texture mapping method to render the volume of entire tissue sections. Then, we determined the chromatin texture quantitatively by calculating 3D gray-level co-occurrence matrices (3D GLCM) and 3D run length matrices (3D GLRLM). Finally, to demonstrate the suitability of 3D texture features for grading, we performed a discriminant analysis. In addition, we conducted a principal component analysis to obtain optimized texture features. Automatic grading of cell nuclei using 3D texture features had an accuracy of 78.30%. Combining 3D textural and 3D morphological features improved the accuracy to 82.19%. As a comparative study, we also performed a stepwise feature selection. Using the 4 optimized features, we could obtain more improved accuracy of 84.32%. Three dimensional texture features have potential for use as fundamental elements in developing a new nuclear grading system with accurate diagnosis and predicting prognosis.

구문의미트리 비교기를 이용한 주관식 문항 채점 시스템에 대한 연구 (Research on Subjective-type Grading System Using Syntactic-Semantic Tree Comparator)

  • 주관식 문항은 깊이 있는 사고능력 평가와 고등정신능력 평가에 적합하나 채점하기가 쉽지 않다. 동일한 채점기준을 갖더라도 채점자에 따라 다른 채점결과를 가져올 수 있으므로 객관적인 자동 채점 시스템이 필요하다. 그렇지만 채점 시스템은 표현 언어인 한국어 분석과 비교의 문제가 걸려있다. 본 연구는 한국어의 구문 분석을 구현하고 결과인 구문분석 트리를 비교하는 비교기를 이용하여 주관식 문항을 채점하는 채점 시스템을 설계, 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 단어 중심의 채점 시스템과 구문의미트리 중심의 채점 시스템을 복합한 시스템으로 구문의미트리 비교기를 활용하였다. 본 시스템의 실험 결과 제안한 구문의미트리 중심의 채점 시스템과 복합 채점 시스템이 더 나은 결과를 가져옴을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 한국어 구문의미분석과 주관식 채점 영역에 활용할 수 있고 또한 문서 분류에도 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

굵은골재의 입도분포에 따른 콘크리트의 기초적 특성 (Effect of Grading of Coarse Aggregate on the Fundamental Properties of Concrete)

  • This study investigates the effect of a grading of aggregate on the properties of concrete. It is a common sense in Korea that the production of coarse aggregate in ready mixed concrete industry excludes particular aggregate size ranged from 5 mm to 13 mm for saving the production cost. This causes a gap grading of the aggregate for concrete, which can lead to the increase of unit water, the development of drying shrinkage-induced crack and the reduction of compressive strength. In this study, conventional aggregate obtained from a ready mixed concrete factory and the aggregate with a modified grading produced in lab. condition were prepared. Results showed that a good grading of aggregate (i.e., the ratio of 5~13 mm and 13~25 mm is 6 to 4) produced in the lab. condition significantly improved the slump and the compressive strength of the concrete.
