In university liberal arts education, learners' achievement goals are an important research topic, and this also applies to liberal arts software education. In this paper, we analyzed changes in learning motivation of learners taking liberal arts software courses according to course classification using a 3 × 2 achievement goal model. The analysis was conducted on a discussion-oriented class taken together by learners receiving credits for different purposes, such as required and elective. As a result, it was confirmed that learners begin the semester with similar achievement goals. However, the avoidance goals of learners taking elective courses decreased, showing a significant difference at the end of the semester. It was a different result from the existing liberal arts software education studies that pointed to mandatory enrollment as the cause of lack of motivation to learn. In addition, it was confirmed that learners who take elective courses relatively focus on achievement rather than competition.

This study examined how the motivational language of instructors in senior fashion model classes affects learners' achievement goal orientation and interpersonal competence, as well as their intention to continue participating. The participants in this study were active seniors aged 50 and above, and the analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM and bootstrapping for mediation effects. It was found that autonomous motivation had a significant impact on task achievement goals and interpersonal competence, but not on ego achievement goals. On the other hand, controlled motivation only had a significant impact on ego achievement goals. Additionally, interpersonal competence had a significant impact on the intention to continue participating, and task achievement goals were found to mediate the relationship between autonomous motivation and interpersonal competence. This study aimed to promote understanding of the importance of instructors' motivational language in senior fashion model education and learners' psychology and to provide information that can help develop a fashion-related leisure activity curriculum. It also suggests efficient instructional directions for instructors in senior education, and it is expected to be utilized in the development of fashion-related leisure activity program curricula in the future.
The purpose of this study was to identify health care providers' perceptions about the goal achievement and benefit/loss caused by the separation policy of drug prescribing and dispensing after the policy implemented on July 1, 2001. Uslng stratified sampling method based on the administration area, Ku, 315 physicians and pharmacists were sampled from the rosters of physician and pharmacist association in the city of Busan on 2001. There were 122 and 115 responses from physician and pharmacist sample, respectively. 78.3% of physicians and 50.4% of pharmacists evaluated that the goal of the policy was not achieved. Moreover, 75.3% of physicians and 40.7% of pharmacists did not support the policy. Most physicians and pharmacists considered preventing the citizens with drug abuse and misuses as the most important benefit derived from the policy. However, physicians and pharmacists concerned over raising health care cost that could be patients' burden. The most important physicians' benefit derived from the policy was free choice of all possible medicine that might result in effectiveness of medication. In physicians' the most important loss, most physicians worried about that breaking traditional patient and physician relationship might cause physicians' authority in treating diseases to be damaged. Pharmacists considered the most important policy benefit as hiked social status resulted from enforcement of profession due to the policy whereas they considered the most significant loss as expected financial problems of small pharmacies compared to that of large pharmacies or pharmacies adjacent to hospitals. In the current problems of the policy, physician and pharmacists blamed the government for inadequate preparations of the policy implementation. Physicians and pharmacists also considered citizens' mature attitudes toward the policy as a crucial success factor.

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between performance level and ego orientation and task orientation, which are sub-factors of achievement goal orientation, targeting the Korean youth badminton national team. Accordingly, two null hypotheses were established and tried to verify that there would be no difference in ego orientation and task orientation according to the performance level of the badminton youth representative players. A total of 92 middle and high school students were divided into upper and lower performance groups, and the differences between ego orientation and task orientation were investigated, respectively. For the measurement, We used sports achievement goal orientation (task and ego orientation in a sports questionnaire, TEOSQ). Data were analyzed by performing frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and independent t-test. As a result, there was no statistically significant difference in both the ego orientation and task orientation between the upper and lower groups of performance. We discussed based on the research results.
Factors influencing mathematics academic achievement are constantly changing and have direct and indirect effects on mathematics achievement, so longitudinal studies that can predict and analyze their growth are needed. This study uses longitudinal data on students from 2011 (5th grade of elementary school) to 2015 (2nd grade of middle school) of the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study, and divides them into groups with similar longitudinal changes in mathematics academic achievement. The direct and indirect effects of learning attitudes and achievement goals were examined. As a result of the study, it was found that learning effort and learning attitude had a direct effect on mathematics achievement in 1 group (2277 students, 67.7%), and learning attitude had a direct effect on mathematics achievement in 3 groups (958 students, 28.5%). And it was found that learning effort h ad an indirect effect. In addition, it was found that both learning attitudes, learning efforts, and achievement goals had no effect on the academic achievement of mathematics in the second group (127 students, 3.8%).
Purpose - The present study aimed to investigate the difference between entity theorists and incremental theorists in the extent of attributing efforts and traits of consumers for the realization of pursued goals. Furthermore, the present study was conducted to determine the difference depending on circumstances. In this regard, the circumstances where consumers felt pride were divided into those in which important goals and ordinary life goals were achieved. Research design, data, and methodology - An empirical study was performed, which was divided into group 1 and 2. Group 1 is the experimental group concerned with the important goal achievement, and group 2 is the control group related to daily ordinary goal achievement. 80 college students were assigned to each group, respectively. The empirical study for each of the two groups was performed respectively by means of questionnaire survey. In the experimental group, t-test was used to verify the hypotheses for the empirical study. In the circumstances of the control group, t-test was also used to examine whether the results were same as those shown from the analysis of experimental group data or not. Results - According to the group 1 and 2, the t-test of the empirical study showed that entity theorists tended to attribute the achievements of goals to their traits more than incremental theorists did, whereas the incremental theorists tended to attribute achievements of goals to their efforts more than entity theorists did in the important goals-achieved circumstance. In the circumstance of daily life goals-achieved, additional questionnaire survey and analysis were conducted, however, there was no difference between incremental and entity theorists in regard to attributing realization of goals to their efforts, and it leads to assess the difference in the meaning of invested efforts between important goal and ordinary goal achievement. Conclusions - Considering that the feeling of consumers has been regarded as one of the significant factors in marketing mix management, the results of this study are considered as significant implications for management. The implications can be said that when incremental consumers feel authentic pride in the important goals-achieved circumstance, marketers are requested to emphasize the fact that the efforts of consumers have contributed to realization of the important goals. By contrast, when consumers feel hubristic pride in both circumstances, marketers are requested to approach to entity-oriented consumers by way of trait. Authentic and hubristic pride are pervasive and engendered by important events or daily routines, and they could have effect on delaying making decisions. Therefore, it is necessary for future research to examine the unexplored difference of effect between incidental authentic and hubristic pride on consumer's self-control. In particular, future researches are related to the extent of difference in attributing efforts and traits. The consumers'realization for the previously pursued goals between entity theorists and incremental theorists affects their present or long distant decisions in self-control dilemmas. The consumers are faced with choosing one between virtuous long term- related option and vice immediate option.

The aim of this study was to verify the theoretical relationship between sports ability beliefs, achievement goal orientation, exercise flow, and athletic performance in college golf athletes. The results of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 18.0 and Analysis of MOment Structures (AMOS) 18.0 performed on the data collected from 211 participants are as follows. First, hypothesis testing showed that college golf athletes with incremental beliefs set task-oriented goals (C.R.=3.780, p<.001). Second, the task-oriented goals (C.R.=4,082, p<.001) and ego-oriented goals (C.R.=3.819, p<.001) in achievement goal orientation raised the level of flow during golf. Third, in achieving goal orientation, only task orientation led to a higher perceived level of golf performance (C.R.=3.020, p<.01). Fourth, a higher level of flow led to higher levels of golf performance (C.R.=4.642, p<.001). Other sub-factors were not statistically significant in the current study. These results could be applied in the field of sports as they show what results can be achieved depending on the athlete's belief in their sports ability.
Purpose: This study was to examine the achievement rate of smoking cessation, to identify obstacles to smoking cessation, and to find means to achieve the goal of smoking cessation in college smokers. Method: This study was conducted from April 26th to September 13th 2004 and used a one-shot design. The subjects selected by convenient sampling were 29 college smokers who smoked over one cigarette a day, had a positive level of urine cotinine, participated in smoking cessation education 3 times. Thereafter, individual interaction was processed between the researcher and the subject using an interaction instrument. Data were analyzed based on frequencies.,percentages and means using SPSS/Win 10.0. Results: The achievement rate of smoking cessation was 20.7% (6 students). The biggest obstacles smoking cessation were smoking stimuli (29 students) and lack of control (25 students). Among detailed obstacles, the biggest one was smoking at regular times, which was followed by withdrawal symptoms, smoking on drinking, and company with other smokers. The most effective means of smoking cessation mentioned by the subjects were in order of avoiding drinking situations, taking deep breaths, and exercising. Conclusion: The results of this study, using King's theory, showed that individual interaction is effective in achieving smoking cessation. Therefore, it is suggested to make further study and broaden smoking cessation education for college smokers.
If zero-accident movement is to be successful, the objective goal period should be surely obtainable, and much more in our country where frequency rate of injury are remarkably fluc-tuating. However In our country, as far as we know, no method to establish a reasonable zero-accident goal period is guaranteed. In thls paper, a new establishing-method of reasonable goal period for individual industry with considering recent accident trend is presented. A mathematical model for industrial accidents generation was analyzed, and a stochastic process model for the accident generation inteual was formulated. This model could tell the accident generation rate in future by understanding the accident tendency through the time-series analysis and search for the distribution of numbers of accidents and accident interval. On the basis of this, the forecasting method of goal achievement probability by the size and the establishment method of reasonable goal period were developed.
The purpose of this study was to compare the configuration changes of content elements and inquiry activities between 2009 and 2015 revised national elementary school science curriculum, and to examine the trends in achievement standards. The results of this study were as follows. First, the number of content elements presented in the 2015 revised science curriculum was slightly decreased in comparison to 2009 revised one, but fell short of goal level for revision, that was to cut 20 percent of present achievement standards. The characteristics of changes in achievement standards were to enhance the relation to practical life, to integrate the content elements separated, and to adopt the achievement standard to introduce new concept. Second, the number of inquiry activities presented in the 2015 revised science curriculum was also slightly decreased, and to be linked with the changes of achievement standards. In some cases, the range of inquiry activity was adjusted, or the unit to present it was changed. Teacher should know exactly about the elements to be changed in the 2015 revised national elementary school science curriculum, and it will be needed them to make an efforts in the cause of its smooth application.
