We consider the global existence of strong solutions of the 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in a long periodic domain. We show by a simple argument that a strong solution exists globally in time when the initial velocity in $H^1$ and the forcing function in $L^p$([0; T);$L^2$), T > 0, $2{\leq}p{\leq}+\infty$ satisfy a certain condition. This condition common appears for the global existence in thin non-periodic domains. Larger and larger initial data and forcing functions satisfy this condition as the thickness of the domain $\epsilon$ tends to zero.

In these days the global software market is experiencing diastrophism due to globalization, convergence, and the spread of web 2.0. In particular, today"s global economy has entered the so-called "Globalization 3.0" era, and the world is evolving into a flat world where labor, capital, and resources are moving freely. In this rapidly changing global economy, the growth of the Korean economy is in a state of continuous decline. Particularly software industry is also suffering continuously slow growth due to market saturation and low service earning, which require urgent countermeasures. Therefore, the purpose of this study is: 1) to analyze the current industrial condition of the software industry, which have special characteristics differ from manufacturing industry; and 2) to analyze the major obstacles of local companies working in the software industry in order to cope with the recent changes in the global market environment and 3) to draw out the strategy for the domestic software industry in gangwon province in order to promote local software industry and to achieve globalization.

It is well known that the nonlinearity of vector Boolean functions F on n-dimensional vector space $GF(2)^n$ to $GF(2)^m$ is bounded above by $2^{n-1} - 2 ^{\frac{n}{2}-1}$. In this paper we derive upper bounds and a lower bound on the nonlinearity of vector Boolean functions in terms of auto-correlations. Strengths and weaknesses of each bounds are examined. Also, we modify the notions of the sum-of-square indicator and absolute indicator for Boolean functions to the case of vector Boolean functions to measure global avalanche characteristics of vector Boolean functions. Using those indicators we compare the global avalanche characteristics of DES (Data Encryption System) and Rijndael.

We consider a delayed predator-prey system with Holling II functional response. Firstly, the paper considers the stability and local Hopf bifurcation for a delayed prey-predator model using the basic theorem on zeros of general transcendental function, which was established by Cook etc.. Secondly, special attention is paid to the global existence of periodic solutions bifurcating from Hopf bifurcations. By using a global Hopf bifurcation result due to Wu, we show that the local Hopf bifurcation implies the global Hopf bifurcation after the second critical value of delay. Finally, several numerical simulations supporting the theoretical analysis are given.

본 논문에서는 의료초음파 영상에서 진단 파라미터 데이터를 가시화 하는 방법론으로서 연속적인 픽셀 값을 갖는 전이시간 데이터의 표현과, 4가지 유형의 값으로 분류되는 병변 진단 파라미터 영상을 생성하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 생성된 파라미터 영상에서 노이즈를 제거하기 위한 방법론으로서 MRF 모델을 이용한 영상개선 기법을 제안한다. 이러한 파라미터 영상 생성기법은 초음파 진단 데이터에서 조영증강 패턴의 동적인 변화에 대한 육안 판별의 한계를 극복할 수 있게 한다. MRF 기반 영상개선 과정에서 연속적인 픽셀 값에 대한 에너지함수를 정의하고 이를 최적화 하는 기법을 개발하였으며 실제 의료영상을 사용한 실험을 통하여 제안된 이론의 유용성을 평가하였다.

조합 최적화 문제인 Traveling Salesman problems(TSP)을 Genetic Algorithm(GA)[3]과 Local Search Heuristic Algorithm[8]을 이용하여 접근하는 것은 최적해를 구하기 위해 널리 알려진 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 TSP문제를 해결하기 위한 또 다른 접근법으로, 다수의 Ant들이 Tour들을 찾는 ACS(Ant Colony System) Algorithms[4][6][7]을 소개하고, ACS에서 Global Optima를 찾는 과정에서, 이미 이루어져 있는 Ant들의 Tour결과들을 서로 비교한다. Global Updating Rule에 의해 Global Best Tour 에 속해 있는 각 Ant Tour의 edge들을 update하는 ACS Algorithm에, 각 루프마다 Ant Tour들을 우성과 열성 인자들로 구분하고, 각각의 우성과 열성 인자들에 대해서 Global Updating Rule에 기반한 가중치를 적용(Weight Updating Rule)하므로서 기존의 ACS Algorithm보다 효율적으로 최적 해를 찾아내는 방법에 대해서 논하고자 한다.

Global localization is one of the essential issues for mobile robot navigation. In this study, an indoor global localization method is proposed which uses a Kinect sensor and a monocular upward-looking camera. The proposed method generates an environment map which consists of a grid map, a ceiling feature map from the upward-looking camera, and a spatial feature map obtained from the Kinect sensor. The method selects robot pose candidates using the spatial feature map and updates sample poses by particle filter based on the grid map. Localization success is determined by calculating the matching error from the ceiling feature map. In various experiments, the proposed method achieved a position accuracy of 0.12m and a position update speed of 10.4s, which is robust enough for real-world applications.

Global attractivity and oscillatory behavior of the following nonlinear impulsive parabolic differential equation which is a general form of many population models $$\array{\{{{\frac {{\partial}u(t,x)}{{\partial}t}=\Delta}u(t,x)-{\delta}u(t,x)+f(u(t-\tau,x)),\;t{\neq}t_k,\\u(t^+_k,x)-u(t_k,x)=g_k(u(t_k,x)),\;k{\in}I_\infty,}\;\;\;\;\;\;\;\;(*)$$ are considered. Some new sufficient conditions for global attractivity and oscillation of the solutions of (*) with Neumann boundary condition are established. These results no only are true but also improve and complement existing results for (*) without diffusion or impulses. Moreover, when these results are applied to the Nicholson's blowflies model and the model of Hematopoiesis, some new results are obtained.

During the 2009 global economic downturn, the dairy industry was also affected. Global milk production had gradually decreased, and the dairy industry was failing. However, in 2010, China's sudden consumption increase of dairy products, the price of dairy products recovered due to the great demand in China. The Asian continent as a whole played a significant role in maintaining the health of the global dairy industry, by preventing its total collapse. Currently, the price of all dairy products, except that of whole milk powder, has increased. The International Dairy Federation (IDF) expects that milk production will grow by 2% annually over the next 10 years, owing to Asia's high demand for all kinds of dairy products.

This study is about interdisciplinary education model of using Davis Guggenheim's documentary film on global warming which is a big concern in climate change issues, An Inconvenient Truth. It based on Al Gore's slide speech. Through a course student analyzed the cause and phenomenon of global warming resulted from increase of $CO_2$ by using fossil fuel and its environmental science effects-heat wave, desertification, tornado, hurricane, sea level rise caused by melting glaciers, destroying ecosystem like habitat degradation of wild animals, for example polar bear, extreme cold wave caused by change of ocean currents- of global warming. After, student discussed of efforts to prevent global warming. This educational model is appropriate for lower grade student of environmental engineering and also available for converged majors or general education class.
