안경착용자의 안경착용에 대한 이미지 연구 -Q-방법론적 접근- (A Study on the Eyeglass Wearer's Self-image -Q-methodological Approach-)

  • This study attempts to identify the self-image of eyeglass wearers with Q-methodology. Preliminary Q-statements were collected through personal and telephone interviews and based in consultation with reference books, eyeglass wearers, an optician and an oculist. Finally, 34 Q-samples were seleted. The results were analyzed by a Q-factor with a PC QUANL Program. The self-image of eyeglass wearers were found to revolve around three types: Type 1. They feel that eyeglasses have a negative influence on image and that they uncomfortable. In addition, other people have a negative bias toward people who wear eyeglasses. As a result of these negative prejudices and inconveniences, there is a tendency to wear contact lens or have laser operations. Type 2. They feel less uncomfortable comparatively, when explained that glasses can help improve their image. When explained as a fashion accessory, negative prejudices almost disappeared. Type 3. They show a positive reaction when explained that spectacles are also used for sight protection. Howerer, they are sensitive to changes in their complexion as a result of eyeglass wear and place much importance in the design of glass frames. The significance of this study is to suggest basic data for a mediation device that improve the image of eyeglass wearers discovery and analysis of these three types.

국내 안경산업의 활성화방안 고찰 (The solution for revitalization of domestic eyeglasses industry)

  • 우리나라 대부분의 안경 제조업체는 10인 이하의 영세 소규모 업체로 구성되어 있어 규모면에서 이태리, 중국 등 경쟁국에 비해 매우 열악한 수준에 놓여 있다. 이로 인해 국내 안경산업은 선진국의 고가제품과 중국등 동남아 지역의 저가 제품 사이에서 경쟁력을 확보하지 못하는 어려운 상황에 직면하게 되었다. 이러한 점들을 고려하여 볼 때 국내 안경산업의 활성화를 위해 가장 시급한 문제는 안경 제조업체의 구조조정으로 볼 수 있으며 디자인 개발능력 향상, 신소재 및 기술개발, 자체브랜드 개발 및 홍보강화, 기능성 안경 등 신제품 개발, 시제품(샘플) 제작기간 단축, 경영지원, 특구지정을 통한 경쟁력 확보 등도 우리나라 안경산업의 중요한 활성화방안으로 지적되고 있다.

  • 최근 입체영상 기술은 신 성장 동력 산업으로서 잠재성 있는 블루오션으로 자리매김하고 있으며, 가상 및 증강현실 기술의 발전과 함께 관심이 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 입체영상 표현방식은 양안시차, 편광안경 등 다양한 형태의 기술이 개발되어 활용되고 있으나, 눈의 피해나, 두통, 혼선, 해상도 저하 등 한계점을 지닌다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 한계점을 극복하고자 중첩된 투명 디스플레이를 활용한 새로운 방식의 입체영상 표현 기법을 제시하였으며, Grabcut 알고리즘을 활용한 전경 추출 실험과 아크릴과 스마트 디바이스를 활용한 새로운 방식의 입체감 표현 실험을 통해 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한, 이미지 프로세싱 소요 시간 등 분석을 통해 실시간 스트리밍 적용도 가능함을 검증하였다.

가시광의 후방산란을 이용한 VLID 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of VLID System by Back-Scattering Visible Light)

  • 본 논문에서는 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) 셔터로 입사된 가시광의 후방산란 특성을 변화시켜 태그의 ID 정보를 리더로 전달하는 VLID(Visible Light Identification) 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현된 VLID 시스템은 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)의 원리를 가시광 통신에 적용한 것으로, 태그 표면에 부착된 LCD 셔터를 이용하여 태그의 정보에 따라 VLID 리더에서 송신한 빛을 선택적으로 후방산란시키고, 이 변화를 리더가 인식하도록 한다. VLID 태그는 마이컴과 태그 표면에 부착된 LCD 셔터로 구성되며, VLID 리더는 6개의 LED, 그 중심에 놓여있는 하나의 photodiode, 관련 아날로그 회로 및 블루투스(bluetooth)를 통한 PC 인터페이스로 구성된다. 실험 결과, 낮 기준으로 35 cm 이상의 거리에서 100 bps 속도로 단극성 NRZ-OOK(Non Return to Zero ON/OFF Keying) 변조한 태그의 정보를 성공적으로 인식할 수 있었다. 또한, 이론적인 최대 전송속도, 인식거리 개선 방법 등을 제안하였다.

영상화면 단말기(VDT)작업이 인체에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Visual Display Terminal Work on the Human Body)

  • This study was performed to investigate the negative side effects of video display terminal (VDT) work on the human body and to provide data for preventing VDT syndrome. A questionnaire survey was made to 339 VDT workers at 22 offices in Taegu, Kyungpook and Kyungnam areas from July 1 to August 31, 1994, and 280 of them were finally used for statistical analysis. The VDT syndrome in the present study inclhded five factors, namely as eye-related symptom, psychological symptom, general body symptom, musculoskeletal symptom, and skin-related symptom, and the estimates of Crombach coefficients of the five factors were 0.954, 0.952, 0.953, 0.957, and 0.955, respectively, showing very high reliability. In view of socio-economical characteristics, the symptoms of female were higher than those of male in the order of musculoskeletal symptom, eye-related symptom, skin-related symptom and psychological symptom. The age group of 30 years or less was higher than the older groups in the order of musculoskeletal symptom, eye-related symptom, psychological symptom and skinrelated symptom. The group of lower education level showed higher skin-related symptom. The psychological symptom and skin-related symptom increased as the amount of smoking increased. Higher eye-related symptom was observed in the group without glasses. In the job-related variables, the group of working on programming and data input showed higher eye-related symptom and psychological symptom. The group of working on programming and graphic design showed higher musculoskeletal symptom and skin-related symptom. The skin-related symptom increased as the total time of VDT operation per day increased. The group of working 2-4 hours followed by 15 minutes rest was higher in musculoskeletal symptom and psychological symptom. Higher musculoskeletal symptom was observed from the group working on Friday and Sunday. The group of 1 year or less working showed higher in skin-related symptom. In relation with the VDT type, all symptoms except skin-related symptom were higher in the group using monochrome monitor. As showed above, the questionnaire could be a tool for evaluating VDT syndrome and prevention of the syndrome would be possible by a comprehensive consideration of factors including socio-economic characteristics, job-related variables and VDT type.

스마트패션제품 개발 동향에 관한 연구 (A study on smart fashion product development trends)

  • ICT in the IOT era is the core basis of modern society. This study investigated and analyzed the recent commercialization trends of smart fashion products internationally and domestically, to utilize them as the basis of data for developing user-friendly smart fashion products that can meet the needs of consumers. Keyword research using the most representative search engines, Google and Naver was conducted for searching for various wearable items commercialized actively since 2010. The final 78 products were classified by the physical area, and the key features and benefits were analyzed. Smart fashion products were classified as four physical types for the head and face, torso, arms and hands, and ankles and feet. Smart fashion products for each body part were developed in various ways, such as hats, glasses, lenses, virtual screens, earphones, headsets, clothing, watches, wrist bands, gloves, rings, wallets, bags, anklets, shoes, socks, and insoles. The main features were music playback, bluetooth, a camera based on NFC, virtual effects, health and safety protection through measuring heartbeat and momentum, and social network sharing of all kinds of information, based on inter-working with a smartphone. These functions represent the physical, social, and emotional interactions among users and their surroundings, as well as the users, themselves. The research results are expected to be used in future studies on planning user-friendly and marketable products through in-depth analysis of the design characteristics of smart fashion products as well as consumer responses.

피트니스 IT 현황 및 활성화 방안 (Status and promoting of fitness IT)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 상용화되고 있는 피트니스 IT의 현황을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 피트니스 IT 전망과 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 최근의 웨어러블 스마트 시장은 스마트워치 시장과 피트니스 트래커 시장으로 재편되고 있다. 피트니스 IT 기술의 대표적인 단말기인 피트니스 트래커는 시계, 밴드, 의류, 안경, 렌즈 등의 다양한 형태로 출시 및 연구개발 되고 있지만, 현재까지는 시계나 밴드형태의 제품이 가장 많으며, 클립형태, 목걸이, 머리끈 등의 방식으로도 출시되고 있다. 또한 모바일 플랫폼 시장의 양대 축으로 불리 우는 애플과 구글도 피트니스 사업 선점을 위한 건강관련 플랫폼을 제공하고 있다. 피트니스 IT의 전망은 피트니스 관련 웨어러블 기기가 소형화, 경량화 되는 추세로 볼 때 지속적인 성장세를 보이고 있다. 지속적 성장과 활성화를 위해서는 피트니스 IT 디바이스와 다양한 앱, 서비스들이 결합되는 매쉬업(mash-up), 사용자 환경의 편리성 확보, 그리고 디자인 요소와 가격의 합리성이 위한 노력이 필요할 것으로 예측된다.

광과민성증후군자를 위한 필름 색 오버레이의 광학적 특성 분석 (Optical Analysis of Film Colored Overlay for people with Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome)

  • 목적: 광과민성 증후군자를 위한 가상 색 오버레이, 필름 오버레이, 색 렌즈나 색안경의 기초 설계. 방법: 필름오버레이 3종류에 대한 광학적 특성 측정을 통한 sRGB, RGB 값 도출. 백색종이, IT기기 백색화면 적용시와 투과모드시의 색도 관계 분석 결과: 구현 가능한 sRGB와 RGB값을 얻었다. 백색종이나 IT기기의 백색화면을 배경으로 얻은 색도와 필름 자체의 색도는 달랐으나, 일정한 관계 패턴을 보였다. 광투과율은 Intuitive Overlays가 단일 색에서 59%-79%로 가장 높았고, 광반사율은 Reading Ruler가 평균 8%로 가장 낮았다. 결론: 측정된 데이터를 보정하여 계산된 sRGB와 RGB값은 실제 보조도구를 구현하는데 직접 사용할 수 있다. 광투과율은 IT기기의 가상 오버레이의 투명도인 ${\alpha}$값을 산출하는데 사용될 수 있다. IT기기에서는 디스플레이 장치의 백색 화면과 이론적 백색의 색도 차이가 너무 크면 가상 색 오버레이 구현에서 기기의 백색 특성을 고려할 필요가 있다.

Comparative evaluation of virtual reality distraction and counter-stimulation on dental anxiety and pain perception in children

  • Background: This study evaluated the efficacy of virtual reality (VR) distraction and counter-stimulation (CS) on dental anxiety and pain perception to local anesthesia in children. Methods: A prospective, randomized, single-blinded interventional clinical trial with a parallel design was used. Seventy children 7-11 years old who required local anesthesia (LA) for pulp therapy or tooth extraction were recruited and allocated to two groups with equal distribution based on the intervention. Group CS (n = 35) received CS and Group VR (n = 35) received VR distraction with ANTVR glasses. Anxiety levels (using pulse rate) were evaluated before, during, and after administration of local anesthesia, while pain perception was assessed immediately after the injection. Wong-Baker faces pain-rating scale (WBFPS), visual analog scale (VAS), and Venham's clinical anxiety rating scale (VCARS) were used for pain evaluation. Student's t-test was used to test the mean difference between groups, and repeated measures ANOVA was used to test the mean difference of pulse rates. Results: Significant differences in mean pulse rates were observed in both groups, while children in the VR group had a higher reduction (P < 0.05), and the mean VCARS scores were significant in the VR group (P < 0.05). Mean WBFPS scores showed less pain perception to LA needle prick in the CS group while the same change was observed in the VR group with VAS scores. Conclusions: VR distraction is better than CS for reducing anxiety to injection in children undergoing extraction and pulpectomy.

The grading of cognitive state comparisons with different distances across three conditions in stroke survivors

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare with different distance across three conditions in stroke survivors with the grading of cognitive state. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Twelve stroke patients who agreed to active participation were included. Participants were allotted to normal cognitive (CN) group (n=7) and cognitive impairment (CI) group (n=5) and then walked on a self-paced walkway at three conditions on the Time Up and Go (TUG) test and the 6 minute walk test (6MWT): 1) walking with your comfortable speed, 2) walking while carrying a tray with glasses, 3) walking with a verbal cognitive task. The TUG test was repeated three successful times on each condition. For the 6MWT, participants were tested one time. Results: The CI group walked slower than the CN group at the three conditions on the TUG test. However, there was no significant difference between two groups to each condition. A significant effect of dual tasking was found only in error of verbal cognitive task condition for the TUG test (p<0.05). On the 6MWT, the participants in the CI group walked short distance rather than the CN group (p<0.05). There were significant differences between two groups not only at all conditions but also at error of verbal cognitive task condition as well (p<0.05). Conclusions: To consider the results of different distances such as the TUG test and the 6MWT, we think that exercises in long distance would be more effective to patients with CI. Those would be improved patient's endurance in cognitive problem.
